This is part 2 of my first conversations ever with someone about vaccines. If you listened to Part 1 with Brandy, you can literally see my confidence level has completely changed while talking with Alexandra. This is proof of me overcoming my fears of learning the truth about vaccines or being worried to offend or say something the wrong way. I can now confidently ask the questions I have and hear other people’s opinions without being fearful of what their answer might be. In this episode you hear me giving the full story on a terrible experience I had at my previous pediatricians office that I shared with very few people. I open up to Alexandra, who has been in research for years, and I learn SO many things that I truly believe everyone and every parent should know.
We talk about her story of her background in research and what made her start her instagram page, what inserts are, the importance of informed consent, how vaccine schedules are made, corruption, what incentives are, I share my story with choosing to vaccinate my children, how all of this can affect post partum, adverse reactions, what eczema is and how it’s more than just a rash, a mother’s instinct, jaundice, she shares some stories she has gone through with multiple pediatricians, the real reporting of adverse reactions, safety studies, vaccines during pregnancy, how to have these open and honest conversations with friends and family about your choice for your child, and more.

The Burden
The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three).
