Welcome back to Canada By Night, a Vampire: The Masquerade live-play podcast. Everett Fry was sent to Calgary to save his friend’s mother, but after arriving in the town of New Haven, he was immediately thrust into the role of sheriff. Deputies Doris, Val and Evangeline arrived at the station only to find themselves defending it against four frenzying Kindred. With a moment to breathe, the coterie were formally introduced and apprised Everett of the current situation: unless they can keep the town’s citizens under control, every mortal and Kindred alike will be liquidated. Furthermore, in addition to the dangers presented by the Children of Lilith and an influx of Kindred refugees putting stress on the town’s blood supply, the attack on the station seems to have originated from the Sunse...

The Coterie arrived at the Sunset Retirement Home to gather evidence and find those who had sent the frenzied attackers. Evangeline explained to Everett how they investigate crimes, Doris compelled Loreley Beerfass to reveal that it had not, in fact, been a “normal night” and Val broke into a locked shed only to find bloody symbols on the ground and a corpse, its flayed face contorted in a scream.

The coterie discovered that the corpse was indeed a snare meant to lure in vampires when a powerful ward blasted Doris back in a burst of white fire. With missing surveillance footage and a number of recent staff changes at the Sunset Retirement Home, it seems that the planning behind the attack was more sophisticated than originally suspected. Who amongst the coterie will survive the flurry of bullets now raining down upon them?

With the shooters having blown up the squad car, damaged Cherry and peeled away in different directions, the coterie commandeered two vehicles and split up to cover more ground. Doris stayed behind to watch the crime scene and had a meaningful conversation about nothing with occult shop owner Margery Pritchard, Everett and Val cornered one of the vans in an alley and began their attack, and Evangeline found the second van as it cam...

Everett and Val captured one of their assailants, but only after Val murdered the other two and called Everett “Dad,” Evangeline was drained of blood to the point of torpor, and Doris was treated at Desanti General Hospital, then climbed on top of a taxi, having apparently expected a horse and carriage. Will the coterie heed the voice on Everett’s radio and abandon New Haven and throw themselves at the mercy of Lilith and her Child...

Val and Everett avoided talking about the whole “Dad” thing as they returned to the station, Doris interrogated their prisoner and learned that someone with terrifying skill had tampered with his memory, and Evangeline awoke in a basement, facing a cauldron of boiling blood and a strange and powerful vampire, her face concealed by a beaded veil. Just what is this new vampire’s plan for a brighter future?

The coterie was notified that a Town Hall meeting was about to begin in response to a slew of murders at the hands of vampires. Everett reluctantly agreed that it was his duty to attend, Doris’s tarot cards warned of great danger and a meeting of the minds, Val hated pretty much everything, and, Evangeline, along with 4 other captives, was forced into a frenzy, soon to be unleashed on an unsuspecting Town Hall.

The coterie arrived at the town hall meeting, though in slightly different ways. Everett, Doris and Val attempted to allay the concerns of the council members, but not before 5 frenzied vampires burst into the room and a mysterious voice announced that the experiment had failed, the prophecy was true, and they would all eat other. Will the feasting begin with Everett as Evangeline heads straight for his neck?

The coterie found themselves outnumbered by their enemies. Evangeline was staked by Val before she could attack Everett, Doris and a witch began a battle for control of each other’s mind and just as Val seemed to have the upper hand, she was assailed by a new hulking figure that had just arrived. How many more evil creatures can the coterie possibly face before they are overwhelmed?

The chaos of the town hall massacre continued relentlessly. Evangeline, finally free of the frenzy but traumatized, turned and ran, Doris won her battle of wills, and Val, compelled by a witch to attack her own friends, tore off Doris’s arm. Will the shots fired on the witch by Everett be enough to break the compulsion and save Doris?

Val tried and failed to comfort a despondent Evangeline, Everett struggled with a lack of kindred blood to feed upon, and Doris in her usual fashion, dropped hints of even more trouble ahead for the sheriff. Will a day’s rest be enough to face what a new night will bring?

Something is very wrong at Desantis General Hospital. Val and Evangeline awoke to daylight streaming in, a snake attacking them, and Everett and Doris missing, with signs of a struggle. As they fought their way out of their room, Everett found himself in a helicopter with kindred claiming they work for the council. What is this mysterious Asp Protocol that has been initiated, and where is Doris?

The coterie remained separated, fighting their own battles. Doris was taken to safety by an old acquaintance, Evangeline retrieved the snake’s husk, Val terrified the hospital staff, and Everett, realizing he was about to die and being very, very hungry, decided to free the beast and feed on one of his captors. Will satisfying his hunger be enough to save him from a deadly fall out of a crashing helicopter?

The coterie struggled against the harmful effects of the daytime until night set in amidst a town on edge. Evangeline focused only on getting her dog back from the vet while her husband searched for her, Val returned home to find her son was safe, and Doris took shelter at Margery’s, where her tarot reading assured her that everything would be fine. A very injured Everett awoke to the werewolf Simon Longfellow demanding answers about the Children of Lilith, Evangeline was reunited with her famulus, Percy, and passed a vigil being held for the kindred she had killed, Doris released her prisoner, after briefly feeding off of him, and Val reviewed footage of the sheriff being abducted and decided she must find him soon. But can she find the sheriff in time to salvage what is left...

With the coterie still separated, Everett found himself face-to-face with an old acquaintance, made a tentative alliance with some werewolves, and finally fed, hopefully to begin healing. Back in town, a despondent Evangeline returned to an empty home, Doris completed her potion and meditated on her tarot cards, and Val arrived at the station to several surprise visitors demanding hospitality. Deep in the woods, Everett left the werewolves on good terms just before he was recovered by a Red Cell team and brought before survivors of the Town Hall Massacre to be deposed and to determine who was responsible for the attack.
