Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hey, everybody. This is Ernesto Servini, and I have
some very exciting news to sharewith you. I'm just about to
release a brand new podcastcalled Canadian Songbook. The
idea for the podcast wasinspired by my most recent
album, which is also entitledthe Canadian Songbook. The album
was filled with music, allcomposed by Canadian artists,
some by some of my bandmates inin my band, Turboprop , some by

(00:26):
some of my colleagues on thescene, and then some other songs
that were written pop tunes thatwere big when I was growing up,
in Toronto.
And, through making this album,it just got me thinking about
these composers and thesemusicians and and how their
lives were shaped in Canada. And, I just got curious and
wanted to find out more abouthow everyone's story differs. I

(00:48):
find it so fascinating how wecan all grow up in similar
places but have these completelydifferent stories. You know,
these conversations weren't justabout music and growing up in
music, but it's also aboutcommunity and connecting with
people that you meet in theplaces that you're in. So
whether you're drawn to storiesof growth and transformation or

(01:09):
curious about creative cultureor simply interested in the
lives behind Canada's creativescene, this podcast offers an
intimate and inspiring portraitof what it means to grow through
music in Canada.
So I'd love for you to join meon this journey. Check it out.
It's called Canadian Songbookand you can find it wherever you
get your podcasts. Thanks forlistening, and I can't wait to
share these stories with you.
