Hello from the Amplifying Newsroom. I'm Ashley Nolan. Hundreds gathered
in Cambra yesterday to protest the war in Gaza as
part of a nationwide march for Palestine. Around three hundred
people gathered in the Capitol, marching from Civic Square across
Commonwealth Bridge to Parliament House. A man who allegedly drugged
another man before sexually assaulting him and robbing him has

been extradited from Sydney. Police alleged the thirty five year
old drugged the man at an Act home before binding,
gagging and sexually assaulting him multiple times. He then allegedly
stole around eighty four thousand dollars worth of items from
the home. Act police have allegedly seized large amounts of
illicit and controlled drugs after searching as Simonston residence as

part of an ongoing investigation into alleged drug trafficking offenses.
The investigation relates to the alleged supply of illicit prescription
drugs around Canberra. Police say the seas drugs are believed
to have been allegedly sourced from overseas. They say more
