Funerals continued today, including for ten year old Matilda. There's
calls for the Act government to commit to a new
public aquatic center with a fifty meter pool in the
Woden Town Center. It's after Giacon's controversial plans to build
a twenty five meter pool within a high rise apartment

The CSIRO Staff Association says, well, it welcomes the federal

the National Science Agency, it's a one off injection that
doesn't address long term funding issues. Secretary Susan Tonks says
management needs to use the money to abandon job cuts.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Questions will need to be answered by sorrow executive in
the board. If it doesn't stop a single job cut,
it just doesn't pass the pub test. The community concern
for this has been enormous.

ensure that we can still deliver some of our programs
while we have rolling closures across the facility.

(02:52):
are urged to prepare for a hot one today with

to hydrate, never leave kids or pets and cars, stay
in cool places, and protect yourself when outdoors.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
And we're encouraging people to check in on the members
of their community who might be more vulnerable to heat
related conditions and issues. These are the very young, our
