Hello from the Amplifying Newsroom. I'm Ashley Nolan. Alleged Bondai
shooter Navide Akram remains under police Garden hospital, charged with
dozens of offenses after waking from his coma. The twenty
four year old faces fifty nine charges, including fifteen counts
of murder. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has attended a multi
faith memorial in Sydney in honor of the Bondai victims.

Funerals continued today, including for ten year old Matilda. There's

the National Science Agency, it's a one off injection that
doesn't address long term funding issues. Secretary Susan Tonks says
management needs to use the money to abandon job cuts.

Questions will need to be answered by sorrow executive in
the board. If it doesn't stop a single job cut,
it just doesn't pass the pub test. The community concern
for this has been enormous.

Act Independent Senator David Pocock agrees, saying more funding is
needed to ensure the CSIRO's long term sustainability. Meanwhile, staff
at the National Gallery say it's great to finally have
a long term plan thanks to the federal government's almost

Works will begin in January and we'll continue over the
next five years. Because we will remain open, we will
ensure that we can still deliver some of our programs
while we have rolling closures across the facility.

If you're using Canbra Airport over the next few days,
you're being encouraged to allow yourself some extra time. Some
airport security workers employed by MSS Security have flagged industrial
action from today until Tuesday that could see delays. The
United Workers Union says it's over pay negotiations, and Camberans

are urged to prepare for a hot one today with
a top of thirty seven expected today and tomorrow. Rebecca
Lundy from the Aac City Ambulance Service says it's important
to hydrate, never leave kids or pets and cars, stay
in cool places, and protect yourself when outdoors.

And we're encouraging people to check in on the members
of their community who might be more vulnerable to heat
related conditions and issues. These are the very young, our
older adults, and people with complex medical conditions.
