Hello from the Amplifying news room. I'm Ashley Nolan. The
ACT government's takeover of Calvary Hospital is now complete, following
a sixty five million dollar settlement payment that's on top
of the twenty three million paid to the operators in
twenty twenty three to acquire the hospital in Bruce. The
government will now look to create a new North Side

hospital on the site, costing one billion dollars, making it
the largest health infrastructure project ever undertaken in the Act.
The nation's capital is on track to be home to
around eight hundred thousand people by twenty sixty five according
to the latest local population projections. While growth is predicted
across the territory, areas like Molonglow Valley, Tugrinong Valley, Woden

and new suburbs are expected to see more growth.

Planning changes that the government's making, including the Missing Middle
Housing reforms, will see more housing in our existing suburbs
