Hello from the Amplify newsroom. I'm Tamara Cartwright. The Reserve
Bank wants to scrap surcharges on card payments. The LBA
says it would save consumers one point two billion dollars
a year, about sixty bucks per adult. Governor Michelle Bullock
says the fees are outdated.

We think the times come to address some of these
high costs and inefficiencies in the system.

The LBA also reckons small businesses would be one hundred
and eighty five million dollars better off under the changes.
Four more Victorian childcare centers have been added to an
alleged pedophile, Joshua Dale Brown's work history. It's in addition
to the twenty centers identified earlier this month. The twenty
six year old it's charged with more than seventy offenses

against eight alleged child victims. Affected families will be contacted.
The PM has outlined what he and the Chinese president
spoke about during their meeting today. Anthony Alberizi says, seeing
as though China is our largest trading partner, it's important
we have to have a pop positive and constructive relationship
with Beijing.
