number of ACT women diagnosed with blood cancer is expected
to more than double over the next decade. It's Blood
Cancer Month, with the Leukemia Foundation urging ossies to get
informed and support women in particular who are impacted. Head
of Research Bill Stavrevski says around one hundred Canberra women

were diagnosed according to the most recent figures.

And that's also quite common with younger women within THEACT,
where one in eleven of those one hundred were diagnosed
with either leukemia or lymphoma.

A new state of the art recycling facility for Canberra
is another step closer as demolition begins on the old
plant that was destroyed by fire. The new facility will
include advanced sorting technology and will be capable of processing
up to fifty thousand tons of more recyclables per year
than the previous facility. Construction is due to begin next year.

The Camber Liberals are accusing Labour of failing to lobby
their federal colleagues for a fairer tax deal. The opposition
