(00:08):
Welcome to Cannabis School. I'm your host, Jesse Angeles.
And I'm Brandon Elder. And we're here to talk to you
about everything pertaining to cannabis from vape, flour,
edibles. Strains.
And everything in between. Welcome back to Peace Clarity.

(00:29):
And banana dulce #8. Yeah, hopefully a little a
little Peace of Mind for Jesse. Yeah so little info on that.
I have been randomly having these anxiety attacks.
Not panic attacks but more anxiety where I feel it building
up for no reason. I mean.
But you've also changed meds soon recently, which has changed

(00:50):
like blood pressure and stuff. So yeah, mold shit, there are a
lot of changes going on inside with that that.
It is cool, like my blood pressure is getting down to a
normal level, but the, the that's a good thing.
The only weird thing is that I've had high blood pressure.
I've had stage 2 blood pressure.So it's, it's high.
It's it's worrisome high. And when I would go to the gym

(01:13):
or anything like that and I'd come home, it felt like an
elephant was in my chest for a little bit.
Yeah. And then it would go away.
And it's just because my blood pressure was so high.
I have not had that feeling in years.
But you know what I'm talking about.
Oh, I remember it. Yeah.
I was freshly going through divorce and my blood pressure
was, it was a lot higher at thattime in my life.

(01:33):
And I remember riding my motorcycle.
I was actually heading either back from the Alpine loop or
something and my I just felt really weird.
Really, really weird. Not OK, kind of weird.
And I pulled over and I stopped at The Smiths and PG OK or the
Walmart, one of those two 'cause.

(01:54):
I had the They're right by each other, the blood.
Pressure testing thing and I satdown and I tested it and that
was the first time in my life I had ever tested, like really
high. When, what?
What was it? Do you remember?
I have no idea, it's bad my last.
One which I felt OK was 170 / 90, which is high.
But when I I started the meds and then I went back a couple

(02:16):
days later, check with the doc, it was 140 / 80, which was
awesome compared to where it wasbefore.
Yeah, big change. So, but with that, you know, all
these changes my body is going through, some of the things that
are not working for me really well with cannabis sativas,
strong sativas, they I truly feel the anxiety peak up even

(02:39):
higher. So remember to listen to your
body and not focus so much on what you are like, Oh, I just
need to be awake because you gotto remember that the strains and
the terpenes and everything that's involved in there,
especially your terpenes, that'sgoing to dictate what you're
trying to be able to help. Now typically for me, an indica
is going to knock my Dick in thedirt.

(03:00):
Usually, yeah. But last but yesterday I had
purple punch, I had an edible and within 30 minutes, like when
when you've got peak anxiety, peak pain, you'll find that
cannabis kicks in a lot quicker. You know that where it can.
But for me, since I don't use a lot of indicas, a lot of pain

(03:22):
relieving ones, there are some really good sativas that are
slightly pain relieving, like Malibu Mirage.
Malibu Mirage has some pain, really very mild, more like a
Tylenol. OK, it it just very subtle.
Very subtle. Takes the sharpness out of it,
but you still have the dull, theache, the right the rest of it.
But when you have like severe anxiety or pain sometimes

(03:45):
indicas they a lot of people feel that indicas will put you
in more of a panic state. But I I totally agree with that.
But when you're in a state like mine, indicas can help bring
that down and I did yesterday and I felt way better.
Than it almost like the whole day, almost 2 days of feeling
anxious and. But I mean, The thing is, is,

(04:06):
you know, in my mind, I'm, I'm good, I'm happy.
Your body. It's well, my body knows what's
going on. Yeah.
And because my mind is compartmentalizing it, we're
here smoking on banana Dolce #8 provided by Dragonfly.
It is like an indica leaning hybrid yes, Leslie made with
skunkhouse genetics. So it's Gelato 25 and modified

(04:28):
banana. So it's in the Girl Scout
cookies kind of dessert type of strains, which we've seen so
many. I don't know about you, but I I
feel like I've been really beyond ready for the gassy and
cheesy strains to come back. Oh man.
Like a reoccurrence in the market.
Well, like I've I've yet to havereal good Jack Herrer.

(04:53):
Is it hero? No terror, but it's terror
error. Error.
There we go. There we go.
Thank you kind audience member who corrected me and made me
like feel like I was a dumb ass but all right but.
They probably corrected both of us.
Oh. Totally, 100% and tomato,
tomato. Potato, potato.
It's the terps. Just kidding.

(05:14):
No one says potato. The terps?
No. People say potato.
I don't know where, but they do.See, but I've only heard that
from the saying. But then London, which is where
I would think that type of saying would be out.
No one like Australia. No, like none of the European
countries that I've heard of or gone to.
So I'm like tomato, tomato, tomato, but potato, potato,

(05:37):
because everyone fucking says potato.
Yeah, so you know tomato. Tomato, you're in Mexico.
Then potato. Potato.
Oh well, potato. Papa or Spanish, I mean, you
know, Mexico, this is. Potato Papa.
I only said that 'cause. That's right, if your Papa looks
like a potato. OK, so I am feeling this.
It is on board my friend. So anxiety, where are you at?

(05:58):
Oh dude, it's cool. It's like I'm going to get very
visual. Imagine this heart is just like
it's red on fire. It hurts.
It's like this glowing red sun right here and that it's like
this pitcher of ice water being poured over it and it's just

(06:19):
slowly cooling it down. Like now I feel it less here.
But here's the cool thing. This is a very it's it's
described as a strong, relaxing and sedating strain.
Yes, I can understand that, but I'm at a heightened sense of
things so I need to bring myselfdown and here's the other thing

(06:42):
the misconcept I mean it yes your your blood pressure does go
up when using cannabis can but it also goes down yeah and
indica strains and hybrid strains depending on are the
ones that can push down, but it's all about your terps.
So looking at terps, which I'll I'll look up here in a second I.
Just thought about that my producing versus like even

(07:04):
taking the full hit. Well, and and like this, this
bowl will probably last the entire sesh of us going through
it because it's a it's not a extreme.
I mean, it is for me right now. I'm much more clear.
And so for those of us who may be struggling with random onsets
of anxiety, this may be an alternative that you want to

(07:27):
look at because it's and banana Dolce #8 we've had 10.
I'd like 10. I actually like this more.
One of the funny things I was reading about there is that some
greenhouse and outdoor batches have been rated less flavorful
or impactful. Occasionally poor curing or

(07:47):
small buds. Now the buds on this one are
anything but small. Well, and poor curing definitely
can lead to that. There was some small buds in
there. Oh yeah, no, but I mean small
buds is like, you know, like. I mean popcorn nugs.
Yeah. OK, these are still like.
These are dense. See.
Look at that thick and and spun.Yeah, they're.

(08:07):
Spun. Yeah, you've got a bit of give.
A good amount of GIF still. The smell is not as strong as
other strains I've smelled from these guys, but no, I like that.
Got beta miracine, Beta OK beta caraveline, limonine, humaline,
cental beta pinene. That is like the best anti

(08:28):
anxiety anti pain combo of terpenes.
That's a great combo. Dude, my shoulders were tight
after my workout yesterday. Like this morning I felt tight
in my shoulders and I feel so much more relaxed.
I've only had two hits like that.
That's fantastic. It feels great.
And then what's great about thatis that less is more.

(08:50):
So even though we've got this decent sized bowl here, it's
pretty deep bowl that is the perfect amount for like a
community, like just a good group of friends chilling out
you. Can always pass around a ball.
Oh man, that'd be great. A joint would go for a while on
this, though. I couldn't, yeah.
I couldn't do more than maybe. Couple of hits, Yeah, well, you
puff, puff, pass, puff. Pass and that's it, you know,

(09:11):
but then you got to put that shit out, so you got to do like
one of those little quarter. But depends.
Quarter joints. That was like my birthday when I
I actually put out joints on on my birthday camping because the
like king sized ones with a third of the grandma wax and two
of them those two I put out because it was like, Oh, I feel
really good. I don't.
Do you still have papers? Yeah, I have cones.

(09:33):
You have cones. Yeah, I want to steal one every
once in a while. I go, I go snack some cones
because it's like, man, I just Ireally want a nice joint and
payrolls aren't a thing. So you got to go make your own
and I just, you know, I that was.
What what do you do to prep before smoking a joint?
Because I mean, it's different. I smoke this, I've got my drink.

(09:55):
But do you do any preparatory before?
I find that I want to drink something cold right before I
start smoking it because it's. For me though, it's a it's a
it's a harsh hit for the first few.
It is. But there is a different
connection that I feel. Well, for me, so a joint is

(10:15):
always outside versus other times like a vaporizer, the
George Jetson. It almost forces you to be in
connection with nature. Yes, that's what it.
Is I always feel weird. I've smoked a joint in people's
houses and I feel really weird about.
It I do too. I don't enjoy it.
I like going outside for a joint.
Which is funny because I mean welike this shit all the time but
but. That's what I'm saying.

(10:36):
Like a vaporizer, a dab rig, a pen, even George Jetson.
I don't feel the same need to gooutside and yet, and if I'm
smoking a joint, there's been more frequently where I'm like,
hey, put your phone down or you don't even need to listen to
music right now. Just.
Be. Here, listen to the breeze,

(10:57):
watch the trees, like listen to the birds going through.
Like I don't need, I'll watch the clouds go by because it's
like, why am I feeling this needto be distracted from what's
going on? I was driving down the road
yesterday and I saw this girl walking down the road like many
of us are at the sidewalk and staring at her phone just like

(11:17):
every single one of us. And she was smiling at her
phone. And all I thought in that moment
was that's really sad. She's getting whatever happiness
from this little box in front ofher and missing all of the
beauty that is going on around. I was watching the trees.
I was like, it was a gorgeous day and I was just enjoying that
and thinking how many of us missevery like so much of life

(11:43):
because of these little magic boxes in front of us that we
don't take the moment to go outside and smoke the joint and
step away from everything. Like that camping reset was this
fantastic realization of like, man, I am so attached to this
stupid little box. You know, even like I told you
yesterday, I was designing my schedule of how I wanted to do
my things. And my first two hours of the

(12:05):
day are basically no phone, no scrolling kind of thing.
Like don't do anything that is this because to me, that's
really not going to bring me value in my first two hours.
I can have coffee, enjoy the sunrise, listen to, you know,
some vinyl. I can really focus on my dog
versus jumping right into my little magic box, which is going

(12:26):
to be there in an hour or two anyway.
It's not going there. Those notifications, those
emails, and no one really is up doing business shit before 9
anyway. Most of the businesses aren't
out running around making calls, answering my calls.
No one's really doing that anyway.
So I can spend my time, you know, spending my wills and
feeling like, oh, but then my whole day feels more anxious.

(12:49):
My whole day feels more like, and I find myself running back
to my little magic box. Hey, I'm feeling stressed.
I'm feeling this. Well, maybe I should turn to my
box and, you know, and realizingmissing that connection of
nature or like everyone else around me, like, oh, maybe I
didn't. Maybe I missed how someone's

(13:10):
mood was because I was distracted by by box and half
paying attention to them and notrealizing what was really going
on because, well, I was like half there.
And it's, it's not the same connection as, as when my, you
know, like when we went and hungout with Bennett and Devin and
Devin and we met Casey. Like my phone was down that
whole time. I spent that time just truly

(13:34):
connecting and talking and, and being in that moment that was
just way better than this littlebox, you know, And we went to
the park and hung out and that was this really fun time.
And I'm like, man, this has been, I don't know the last time
I've just done this. Yeah, I know, right?
That was, that was really cool. No.
And it's, you know, just thinking about it like right now

(13:55):
with this strain, which just brought me back to normal, which
is that's how I feel right now. I feel.
Feel breathing in Ormo? Well, and I got to say like an
ADHD, you know, sense it's it's go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go,
go, go and sometimes no, my mindconstantly going and that's I I

(14:15):
can remember everything, but I will forget lots of things, like
immediate things and then you'llgo, Oh, do you remember this?
Yes, and I'm constantly losing everything.
And so I'm just like, it's just,it's a never ending cycle of it.
And when you were talking about that, like I I thought laugh
sometimes when I was like, I remember I was at like just

(14:37):
going to pick up some food stufffor dinner and all that.
And as I was getting to this Walmart, I started walking in
there and my Airpods died and I'm like, oh OK, cool.
I was in a really good state andwhat I what's really cool, dude,
it's, it's not even just the nature thing.
It's about the world you're in. And when you are constantly

(14:59):
plugged in, you, you don't, you kind of, it's not desensitized.
You're just taken away from the world around you.
So when you're Airpods die, if you're that kind of person who's
constantly listening to music, which I am, because it quiets
the noise in my brain, you startto notice you're hyper aware of
everything going on around you And the, the, the real awesome

(15:23):
sense of just like how vast you know it.
We, we always think about our world being so freaking tiny and
we don't spend a lot of time outside because, well, we got
made money so we could stay inside and keep cool during the
summer and warm during the winter.
And it's like, you know, it is, it's I, I know exactly what it

(15:43):
is. You know, humans are creatures
of comfort. We are always looking to survive
and not have to worry about surviving.
And right now is one of the mostbountiful times this Earth has
ever seen in history, right? In recorded history, we've never
seen this much bounty across theworld.
I know there are parts of poverty.
There are play, but I mean, you take people.

(16:06):
Still struggling, but the overall percentage is abundant.
Absolutely, absolutely. And so when you think about
that, like, even though there, there's this great abundance of,
of stuff, not just food, but just stuff, we, we really make
those things for this personal enjoyment.
That's what they originally werecreated for.

(16:27):
But that personal enjoyment onlygoes so far.
Like, I remember as as a kid, like playing with my toys was
cool, but playing with other people and their toys and their
imagination, being in two separate worlds that combined.
Oh yeah, dude. One of my favorite, favorite
memories. And you're talking about that as
a kid was playing guns. And I grew up in this ghetto

(16:51):
neighborhood and all of us were poor and we got any kind of gun
we could get. Or a makeup gun using your
finger or a stick. Yeah, you.
Didn't care. You had grenades and stuff and
you would have these full on wars.
Kids are screaming in the neighborhood, kids are dying.
You got to count to 20 before you can get back up and revive,

(17:11):
right? Like this is all this shit that
we got today. Now is the modern day first
person shooter, right? Where you can go against each
other and all. I think, like, do you know how
cool it would be to play guns with a bunch of adults?
But we do them with those, like water pellets or whatever?
Yeah. Oh shit, that would be great.

(17:33):
Yeah. That would be so much fun to get
all these people. Everybody has an edible or
smokes a bowl and then we go outand we just start playing and it
starts kicking in about halfway through and people are laughing
and just shoot each other. Love that because what is it
doing? It's it's bonding.
That's the thing that people tryto oversimplify.

(17:54):
I don't have time for that, my life's too busy.
I can't connect with you as a human, I'm too busy.
Right, I'm too busy focusing on myself.
Right now text me or Instagram message me or something but like
we can't hang out. But dude, how many opportunities
present themselves to people when you make friends as opposed
to when you gotta be doing the business?

(18:15):
Well, 'cause it's, it's relationships, business is
relationships 100% and it's justrelationships you build.
Yeah, that's it. That's all life is, is like the
relationships, the connections and that.
That's why all these these, these, this is a fucking.
This is a great strain. No, this is a great strain.
I really like it. I'm I'm actually kind of sad

(18:37):
that well, and the only reason why I didn't get it is because,
well, it depends on the state you're in and so like modified
grapes, I've been using that one.
OK, it's not strong enough, OK, but it's good.
But it it's just. What do you find modified grapes
has been really good for lately?Calm, just calm.
I'll sprinkle it in. Oh, so yeah, I'll combo it.

(18:59):
It's great with that one. It's just a real nice easy feel.
Yeah. Modified grapes is it's a hybrid
kind of sativa leaning. This is more indica based.
So this only has, I mean, it's not terrible.
It's 26% THC. Yeah, it's still decent.
That's high. I mean, on average, and that I
mean even from places like Black, 23 to 24 percent is

(19:22):
considered pretty high. It's because of the label.
Oh yeah. If it was Betty, it'd be under
25. Oh of of course.
So that's the other thing to look for, like certain growers,
you know, also sometimes have certain percentages that they're
hitting for or reaching for in certain things.
And so you might find more of the experience you're looking

(19:43):
for in another label. And sometimes you will find that
a parent company might have multiple labels underneath and
that one specific label has moreof the cannabinoid profile or
terpene profile that you're looking for.
As Magic might have started as Dragon, I think it might have
been Betty because ranges. Yeah, so.

(20:05):
Well, because it's lower on THC and CBG and and that's yeah, you
know what, again, we've always said that don't look at your THC
count. Look, look at everything else,
your terpenes. And then and just, I mean, you
got you got one of these fancy little devices in your pocket,
right? Go to just you don't even have
to pay for full on chat. Just go to chat and ask it like
some detailed questions saying hey.

(20:26):
Well, or even now, I feel like alot of the web browsers even use
Gemini or something. Yep.
So Gemini is built into there that that's kicked ass in the
marketing world and destroyed marketing jobs.
Oh, 100% yeah. But it's.
What's the purpose? Well, and and here's the thing
too, like it's reported that sometimes these places,
including Dragonfly, there was auser that said that their

(20:47):
Dragonfly batch they had had tasteless odor.
Tasteless odor is a very strangeway to describe.
Something I couldn't. Taste the odor.
So they were. Away when they wrote it.
No what? That's weird.
Tasteless Outdoor. Oh, so outdoor flower.
That was tasteless, OK. Little to no effects.
Interesting. I wonder if it was 0 brand then

(21:09):
because that I think was that it's not even outdoor, it's
greenhouse grow and it's not trimmed.
It's you trim it on your own. Not to say that those little
batches don't get through, but Iwould imagine going through
their QA process in detail. Oh, I don't see that happening.
Actually, I want to There was a comment we recently got on the
show that I would love to have them e-mail us because they

(21:31):
actually commented about Dragonfly and the fact that
Dragonfly now sprays or uses chemicals.
Yeah, Didn't they pull that? They they.
Did but that. That's OK.
I would love you guys to e-mail us.
Yeah, totally. Send us a message if you could
at contact@cannabisschool.org because we would love to just
have a conversation and see where, because we have not heard

(21:52):
about that. Yeah.
I mean, and if it's honest and you know what's going on, cool.
And if it's bullshit, we'll callyou out on it.
I mean it's. Yeah, it's just smoke and have a
session, yeah. Seriously, like totally talk
about it. Like where does that come from?
Because it's, you know, I understand.
I've I've said those things about certain brands, but then
I've tried that flower and I know.
It was just more of a curiosity of like, hey, is there a insight

(22:16):
or a knowledge behind this? Is there data?
That's because. I don't.
I just we were there. I don't know what I don't know
and if something's changed, thenI don't know.
And if, if there's proof or someway they can actually support a
claim, I, you know, I would loveto.
See that, that's all. I would just think that that to
add that process in your grow would be especially what we saw.

(22:38):
Well, and. That would make no sense.
You would add more money and more hours on top of it.
Well in the the method already should cover all their bases of
not needing any sprayable or chemical bases.
Nope, we were there dude. The like.
Hundreds of hundreds. Of of like ladybugs and stuff
other other methods that are used just naturally to help

(22:59):
you're like OK, and it's. Expensive to be able to bring
those in constantly, but no, I, I, I'm all for that.
I mean, I, I'm not saying like I'm partial to it and like, you
know, we're Dragonfly's boys or anything like that.
We've not always loved things. They've grown.
That's OK. We had that.
It's few and far between though.I'll have to say that one
because we've tried those strains again and maybe it was a

(23:21):
batch. So when this person says that it
was tasteless outdoor, they're like.
I don't know any the. Flavour is not super strong but
I'm not smoking this for the flavour.
No Dragonfly brand isn't outdoorso I wonder if that was just
sold at a Dragonfly one. But then it could have been any
other one because Dragonfly is not even greenhouse.
This is all I. Know we know that they go into

(23:42):
great depth I mean, blacking outthe entire thing glass, glass
jar you know that that's worth it for me I mean there are those
times where you're like I'll getit in a bag but I'm transferring
to a jar as soon as I can yeah and.
Then silica, the way everything is humidity controlled the
entire way through the process, it would be backwards, yeah.
Like taking 10 steps backwards to.

(24:04):
Add a process. Or add a chemical.
Well, because I mean that adds to the process, which means that
would that would affect the curing time vibrate on that it's
like. What the fuck is?
That I know. It's like your phone.
Is it just you or is that my Dick vibrating?
Oh, I I what I to kind of wrap up the the whole rant on on on

(24:25):
their girl, But no, it it behooves you if you're you're a
flower consumer, you know, really look at the bud of even
from your plug. I mean, you have that right.
Just say hey man, I just want tocheck it out and see if it's
something I really because dude, the worst is is being able to
get this nasty swag lied to you weed.

(24:46):
Oh yeah, right. Yeah, that's why I don't smell
if. If I know the person and they
offer, I'm all for it. But I will not just take randos
like, hey, like, what is it if they can't spout it out right
away? Oh, this is Blue Dream.
Oh shit. Give me here, puff, puff here,
man. Thank you so much.
Yeah, I, I don't know. Oftentimes I just ask them where

(25:09):
it came from or if they know andthey're like, oh, I can't.
I don't know. I got it from my guy.
Oh, I'm good. Yeah, appreciate it.
That's what I don't. Just cause it's more of a
curiosity like where and if theyknow that I can have a
conversation, then I feel more way more comfortable oftentimes
in, you know, otherwise I'm justlike, Oh well, here's mine.
Did you know be funny if we madelike an you remember the anti

(25:31):
drug commercials, but it's like the anti don't take random weed
commercials and they just show this whole thing of like people
picking up like a lollipop off the ground and they had to get
to person going, Hey, you want this like no, another one where
you you drop this hot dog on theground, you pick it up and you
dust it off and you put it back in and then you go, Hey, you
want it? Or they just pulled the hot dog
