Happy Monday morning!! Lots to talk about from the weekend. Offshore, nearshore, back country and some tournament talk in this report.
We are fixing to knock ANOTHER month in the head. This year has flown! White Marlin fishing has been on FIRE. That's a good sign heading into August for the Alice Kelly Memorial Tournament and the Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament coming up in August. I'll talk more about that and all the other fishing in this report.

I'm back at my homestead in Engelhard from Manteo. I enjoyed my time at the 23rd Annual Dare County Boat Builders Foundation Tournament. The weather was super scrappy the entire time but they all caught fish and there were also fish caught over the weekend. I'll get you up to speed with weekend fishing and final tournament results in this report.
Wrapping up the last day of the tournament. Man what a fun time everyone has had out here. Looking forward to next year already and also looking forward to the Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament coming up in just a few weeks! Hope yall can make it out.
Talked with a few anglers and got some more updates from Capt. Marty. People are showing up in droves to enjoy all the fun taking place here at the tournament.
Justin takes a little walk around the pavilion and goes over some of the vendors and silent auction items that you can visit and bid on this evening. The silent auction is open until 7pm. We hope that you'll come out and pay us a visit!
Day Three of the tournament has been exciting all the way around. Capt. Marty is at his weigh table and ready to put some fish on the scales. He talks to us about the leaderboard and how much of a great time we've all had out here. If you're around Pirate's Cove this afternoon come on by and hang out!

We have a new DOLPHIN in the lead for the $5000 jackpot from the 'Labrador' at 7.5lbs! The boats are beginning to show up and we expect more fish to be weighed and more fun to take place. Come on out!!
Wrapping things up with a big round about of the different vendors, Nancy Brown (tournament co-director), Capt. Mike Merritt and a quick update from Capt. Marty himself. We will be back tomorrow with more from the tournament!
After a washout of a Day One, Day Two had all 38 boats went out. While Capt. Marty gets all of his stats straight for the weigh station, Justin will get you filled in with who did what on this second day of the tournament.

As you probably expected, no fishing took place offshore or near shore yesterday. A few boats did make an attempt at fishing around the inlet and in the back country but that's about the extent of what took place.
