It's finally Friday!!! We are about to kick off the Big Rock this weekend down in Morehead City and I know a lot of folks are excited about that. But let's talk about what's going on around here (there's A LOT) and what the weekend looks like in this report.
Happy June 4th, for whatever that's worth haha. Again not a whole lot to talk about in this report but I will tell you what has been biting and what will likely continue to bite once the lines go back in the water. Like Capt. Omie Tillett use to say "Even the fish need a day off too"!
We had a good, stiff breeze yesterday out of the northeast which put a damper on the fishing but I will be giving you a recap of the spring so far and a look at what's to come in this report.
The squalls and the rain that came through put a slight damper on the fishing BUT there was still fishing that took place none the less! I'll let you know where and what was caught in this report.
Happy June!! Had a pretty good weekend of fishing even with the wind shift late Saturday and into Sunday. I'll tell you all about what was caught on all fishing fronts from the weekend in this report.

We are about done with May and its been a good fishing month. A tad breezy yesterday but there was still fish being caught! I'll give you the rundown of all fishing fronts in this report.

Wayyyy back in 1984 when Capt. Marty fished on the The Reelin he had a young rookie mate from California named Mike Pullin. One of Mike's first trips offshore with Capt. Kinda hit and miss offshore over the weekend, depending on where you were. It was either really a HIT or really a MISS. Near shore, beach and the piers seemed to be doing pretty good all over, and the back country is starting to pick up more and more. I'm gonna get you up to speed with it all plus talk a little bit about where I'll be this week, which is the Hatteras Village Offshore Open Tournament.
