After crashing on Vulpolis, a city suspended in mid air, Captain Flashman, Prince Belfast, Dr Krakow and Eve were taken prisoner by Vulkaren, the Queen of the Vulture People. There Eve was sentenced to be the companion of Vulkaren while the others were forced to work in the Bird Cage, the busiest yet most under-staffed restaurant in the city. Through careful planning, all four of our heroes were able to escape the evil clutches of Vulkaren, leaving her for dead on her own throne room floor. When Captain Flashman and Eve became separated from Prince Belfast and Dr Krakow, they were forced to return to the throne room only to find Vulkaren alive and holding a ray gun. Will Captain Flashman and Eve die at the hands of Queen Vulkaren? Will Dr Krakow and Prince Belfast arrive time to save them? Or will the customary ‘something unexpected’ happen again to save our heroes?
