Sometimes "the list" we come up with is a spiritualized way of sticking with our "type". How can a preconceived idea of what our partner has to be like keep us from discovering love that is everything we need, yet nothing we expect? Creating an idealistic version of a person that does not exist in real life can keep us from enjoying love right in front of us.
