Andrew's father,great-grandfather, and
great-uncle were martyred duringthe government's staunch
persecution againstChristianity, leaving the
remaining family in poverty.
Andrew was later chosen totravel over 1,000 miles to the

He was ordained in Shanghai asthe first native Korean priest
in the church's history ofevangelizing in that country.
