Psalm 119, verses 27-32 Saint ofthe Day The Saint of the Day for
July 1st is Saint JuniperoSerra.
Saint Junipero Serra livedbetween 1713 and 1784.

Saint Junipero Serra was born toa farming family on the Spanish
island of Mallorca.
He was baptized the same day hewas born, and he was later sent
to be educated by theFranciscans.
In 1730, he joined theFranciscans and was ordained to
the priesthood.
Saint Junipero was consideredbrilliant by his peers.
He was well-trained inphilosophy and theology and

In 1750, he traveled to the NewWorld and began ministering to
