consider attentively what takesplace in this sacrament of the

Meditation of the Day, anexcerpt from The End of the
Present World by Fr.
Charles Armengian, p.
94 The works of man, whetherthey are good or bad, are not
(02:37):
always isolated, transitoryacts.
More often, especially in thecase of the leaders of nations
and those who are invested withpublic authority, they continue
to subsist after they areconcluded, either in the memory
of other men or in publicacclaim, as a result of the
consequences they have had andthe scandal they have caused.
(02:59):
Thus, at first sight...
A particular secret crime seemsto be only a private, personal
deed.
But it becomes social on accountof its effects.
Certainly it is of faith thatthere is a particular judgment,
and that every man, at theinstant of his soul's departure
from the body, appears beforethe tribunal of God to hear his
(03:21):
eternal sentence pronounced.
Yet this judgment cannotsuffice.
In a word, in the consequencesthey produced and which those
(03:49):
who perpetrated them ought tohave foreseen.
Scripture verse of the day.
But you, beloved, buildyourselves up on your most holy
faith.
Pray in the Holy Spirit.
Keep yourselves in the love ofGod.
Look forward to the mercy of ourLord Jesus Christ that leads to
(04:09):
eternal life.
