Speaker 1 (00:03):
Thank you so much for
joining us.
Welcome back to CC Airwaves.
(00:31):
My name is Paige Matillo, andtoday we have another edition of
the Word of the Month.
Each month, we take a moment toreflect on a single word, one
that grounds us, challenges usand offers space to grow in our
faith and in our everyday lives.
For September, our word ischange.
Change is one of those wordsthat can stir up a lot of
(00:53):
different feelings Excitement,fear, uncertainty, anticipation.
And it makes sense.
Change means something familiaris ending and something unknown
is beginning, and that space inbetween that can feel really
uncomfortable.
September is a month oftransition For those of us in
the Northern Hemisphere.
We feel the shift in theweather.
(01:14):
The mornings are cooler, thelight starts to soften, we
notice the first few leavesstarting to fall off the trees,
the busyness of summer slowlyfades into something more
reflective and more inward.
School starts back up,schedules change and, whether
we're ready or not, the rhythmof life is adjusting, and I
think that's why September isthe perfect time to reflect on
(01:38):
how change is showing up in ourlives.
Maybe you're starting somethingnew this fall a job, a school
year, a routine or maybe you'refeeling the ache of something
ending a relationship, a seasonof life, a sense of uncertainty.
No matter what kind of changeyou're facing, it's important to
remember that change isn't justa disruption.
(02:00):
It's also an invitation.
An invitation to pay closerattention, to let go of what no
longer serves you and to openyour heart to what God might be
doing.
In this next chapter, scripturereminds us that there is a time
for everything and a season forevery activity under the heavens
(02:21):
.
That includes times of plantingand times of uprooting, times
to hold on and times to let go.
God doesn't ask us to beperfect through the process.
He simply invites us to trust.
But that doesn't mean thatchange is easy.
Sometimes it feels like grief, like walking into a room that
feels unfamiliar, like waitingfor clarity that hasn't arrived
(02:43):
yet.
But even in those moments, godis there, he is steady, he is
unchanging and he is alwaysworking, even in the in-between.
This is also a good time topractice mindfulness.
When everything feels like it'sin motion, being present
becomes a spiritual act Taking awalk and noticing the leaves,
(03:05):
sitting in prayer and breathingdeeply, choosing to be still
even for a few moments andsaying Lord, I'm here, I'm
listening.
For those of you grieving thisseason.
Maybe this month brings painfulanniversaries or new routines
that feel lonely.
I want to say this to you youare not alone.
(03:25):
You are seen.
So I encourage you to askyourself what's changing in my
life right now?
How can I meet that change withgrace instead of resistance,
and what might God be invitingme to see or to become?
(03:46):
Let this be the month where westop fighting change and start
listening to what it's trying toteach us.
Let it be the month we take adeep breath, step forward in
faith and remember that newseasons can bring new life, even
if we can't see it yet.
Thank you for joining me forthis month's reflection.
I hope that it gave you thespace to breathe and something
(04:08):
to carry with you into the daysahead.
We'll see you next time, and wewill be doing a messages from
heaven, so have a good one, thank you.
