(00:22):
Well, hey, hey, hey.
How's my favorite change chasersdoing out there?
I am hoping that as you aretuning in, that you are, you're
just met with that awesomereminder that you are amazing
and that you are a changechaser, and so you're living out
the title and the theme of everypodcast.
(00:43):
And so with this, I am wishingyou happy day wishes and
blessings galore, and just awhole bunch of hope.
I'll say for believing with youthat you are speaking what you
seek.
Until you see what you said, Iam intentionally going to be
trying my best to shorten thisepisode up this week, y'all,
(01:04):
because I'll just be honest.
I fear that the last couple ofepisodes I've gotten a little
long winded.
I've had a lot of content andall of that kind of thing, but
I'm afraid I might have justwore y'all slap out.
So I'm hoping that I will beable to still bring some value.
But I am intentionally trying toshorten this episode and stay
(01:25):
tuned because I will say that inthe coming weeks I have
preparation of, I have somedifferent people.
That we're working out onschedules, but we will start
having some change chasers thatI'll interview and we'll talk
through and hear about how theyare chasing change and pursuing
some personal growth, and I hopeit'll encourage you as well.
I'm really looking forward tothat time with those special
(01:47):
folks and so.
I will just tell you that I'mreally thankful for you guys.
It's been a real big joy.
People from all over the countryhave reached out and messaged
and it's just wild and crazythat, you know, I just live
right here in Po.
Duncan Country is cornbread andall the things, but it sure is a
blessing to know that the thingsthat God's having me to put
(02:07):
together and pump out there isblessing you.
So thanks so much for letting meknow that.
It is not lost on me.
In fact, it's actually quiteencouraging, so thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I am really hopeful that today'sepisode is going to encourage
you and maybe even challenge youto level up and have some
(02:28):
internal motivation and somegumption to kind of thinking
about how you are navigatinglike your next things, like
whatever those were, whateverthose are, I should say.
Um, and helping you to grow asyou go.
And so I'll just go ahead andsay, with that said, today's
theme is going to be.
What is it that makes someone achampion?
(02:49):
And so we're gonna talk aboutthe heart of a champion.
And so when we think aboutculturally, it might be like,
hmm, that's somebody who getsall the medals in the trophies
in the spotlight, right?
I mean, that seems to be more ofthe common.
Like, mm, yeah.
They're champions because of X,Y, and Z and all that kind of
things.
And so, I mean, I'll say, yeah,I mean, sure getting all of
(03:12):
those things have been nice inlife for all of us that have
been a competitor in any way, oryou know, you've gotten any kind
of award or whatever.
But I truly believe that realchampions aren't just born, but
I believe that they are built, they're not just born, but
they're built.
Not in stadiums, but in thesmall quiet places where hard
(03:35):
decisions are made, wherefailure knocks and growth
answers.
And so thinking about achampion, uh, in the heart of a
champion, I think about too, that a champion is not defined
by how many times they win.
A champion is defined by someonewho keeps getting up, who keeps
(03:55):
trying, who keeps giving ittheir all next best foot
forward.
Right?
A champion is someone who learnsfrom their failures, maybe every
fall, so to speak, and uses thepain and the experience to fuel
their future progress.
I believe that champions havethree things in common, and
(04:16):
those three things are vision, growth, and grit.
First vision champions don'tjust see what it is.
They see what could be theybelieve in more even when no one
else does.
Hmm.
Isn't that something?
Right?
That's a good little motivatorto encourager of thinking, man,
sometimes we've gotta believe inourselves even more than
(04:38):
somebody else Does championsunderstand that growth starts
with a mindset?
And so maybe the mantra and theembracement of what you can have
for that positive self speechis, Hey, I'm not there yet, but
I am on my way.
Additionally, from vision, we'regonna move into the second point
of growth.
Champions are lifelong learners.
(05:00):
They ask questions, they staycurious.
They know that every challengeis a classroom, and every
failure is a teacher.
The greatest athletes, leaders, business owners, writers,
speakers, parents, grandparents,And difference makers don't stop
improving.
They know that progress is adaily decision no matter what
(05:24):
age or stage of life you're in.
I believe y'all that we can havethe mindset of being lifelong
learners.
We can stay curious and bewilling to take the next step
for whatever it is that youdesire to achieve and receive in
your own life.
And so my next encouragementpoint of today's episode, the
(05:46):
third one is grit.
Grit.
There was an expression when Iwas growing up, it was real
popular that they created anacrostic and sold the merchant
Cracker Barrel.
It was girls raised in thesouth, but I always thought that
was kind of clever and cute.
But we're not talking aboutgirls raised in the south.
This is for the fellas as well.
So third grit, we're justtalking about straight up grit,
(06:07):
right?
Grit and gumption.
Champions push throughresistance.
They don't let fear or failuredefine them.
They let it refine them.
Growth is uncomfortable andlearning is humbling, but
champions welcome thatdiscomfort because they know
it's the price of greatness.
So that leads me to thequestion, what about you?
(06:31):
And as you're listening to this,I hope that you'll kind of ask
yourself that same question.
Hmm.
What about me?
How does this apply?
To my life.
And so with saying that, I will,I'll meet you right there in the
middle of the thought and askyou that maybe you're in a
season of stretching.
Maybe you're fighting for adream or trying to bounce back
(06:52):
from something that knocked thewind out of you.
Here's the truth.
You don't have to be perfect tobe powerful.
You just have to keep showingup.
Y'all just keep learning.
Just keep growing.
Because the reality of it is theheart of a champion beats in
everyone who refuses to give up.
(07:15):
And if you chase growth, if youembrace the lessons, if you
fight forward with faith andresilience, then guess what?
You're already a champion.
So I hope that makes you smile.
It makes me smile as I say it,and I'm actually gonna leave you
with that encouragement.
And I want you to hear me todayto say that you, my friend, are
(07:36):
already a champion.
You're doing great things.
I believe that.
I have to know that.
I mean, you're intentionallyspending your time listening to
a podcast that is about chasingchange and self-growth and
having the courage and the faithto level yourself up.
Right?
And to be, and to grow and.
(07:58):
Achieve and accomplish yourheart's desires and what you
feel is your calling.
And so I'll say that yourintentionality, I believe, is
making your life and otherpeople's lives betters.
So with that, I hope you'll keepshining on sis or shine on bro,
for all the fellas listening,'cause I don't think that it's
(08:19):
by chance that you just sohappen to listen to this
episode.
I think that it's 100% anopportunity for you to hopefully
hear some encouragement or maybeeven.
It's a message straight from thegood Lord above about knowing
that you've got what it takesand that you do have the heart
(08:39):
of a champion.
Maybe this message is just foryou.
If so, then I hope that it hugsyour heart and it's just what
you needed to hear today.
May you sweet friends, besweetly reminded and deeply
encouraged that you are seen, you are valued, you are heard,
you are loved, and you areenough.
(09:02):
Don't second guess yourself.
You are living with the heartand the strength of a true
champion.
In closing, I'll leave you withthis thought and hope that
you'll let this be your changechaser's challenge, or as I like
to call it, our C3 time thisweek.
Hopefully you'll ponder on this.
(09:24):
Champions don't let fear orfailure define them.
They let it refine them.
Thanks y'all for joining me foranother episode.
(09:45):
I hope that you'll send this oneto a friend who might need a
powerful reminder that they tooare living with the heart of a
champion.
Let them know that you see them, you celebrate their strength,
and that you're cheering them onon their journey.
I.
So until next time, let's keepchasing change and living with
purpose.
Goodbye sweet friends.
