I love the fact that everybody up north already where
I'm from, they're doing with snow. So I'm like, haha, but.

I saw they're expecting a whole ton of snow in
the Pacific Northwest starting today, oh like five feet.

I don't pay attention to snow. I did that life.

I love it, you know, I grew up in it,
so I love so did I.

But I found paradise. You cannot shovel sunshine. That's the
best part.

Yes, you can. It's real easy.

What the sand. But that's the way that I look
at it. I mean, as a kid, what we had
to do with snow. We had all of our neighbors,
a lot of our senior neighbors. We had to go
and like snow or shovel their they're stoop and you know,
just that's how you spent your day, and all you
wanted to do is just have fun and you know,

go down on and play with the snow. And I
don't remember having as many memories of playing in the
snow as I do having to shovel it. So in
my mind, that's what I look at it. You can't
shovel sunshine. Okay, anyway, we're really excited. This is actually
the first time I got a chance to meet one
of our newer members. Here. This is Mitostar. He goes

don't you tell me a little bit about yourself.

Well, I'm Polish. I came to the United States in
twenty sixteen, the second time. First time I came in
two thousands, and I came. When I came, I started
the work with my father in construction and I learned
the trade, and here I am today running my own business.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Wow. How long?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
How long you've been doing that?

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Over twenty years right now?

Yes?

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Wow? So what brought you to America? What made you
come to America?

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Well, my father was the one who immigrated the first
and then you know family. He wanted to brought everybody
here and that's what he did.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Yeah. And did you come right here to southwest Florida.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
No, we came to Chicago, to west suburbs Wooddale.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Oh you had to get out of.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
There, yeah. Yeah, we just think about snow. So yeah,
that's one of the reasons why we moved down here
to not deal it with it anymore.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Not easy to build without the snow in the wind. Huh.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
That's one thing. You can work entire year here in
southest Florida, so that we appreciate that very much.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
How long have you been in Florida?

Speaker 4 (03:06):
A little bit over two and a half years right now?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Oh, yes, welcome. So you still enjoying us? I'm shine,
aren't You're still.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Getting used to it two and a half years. So
did you make it through a hurricane yet.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Through to the last one?

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Yes?

Okay, you've been initiated.

Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
So when you started getting into construction, did you start
with the new construction or remodeling.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
No, we started as a laborer, so it was just demolition,
doing some siding and preparation for other trades. I think
that's how everybody starts into the trade. Depends what you do.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Yeah, that's exciting. So when it comes to the remodel
and what's your what's your specialty? Is it more than
remodeling or is it the new construction?

Speaker 4 (03:51):
I would say especialty will be remodeling, bringing the taking
out the old and bringing in the new, So I
would say remodeling.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
I love that.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
What type of kitchen and remodeling projects do you like
to specialize in the most.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Well, these days, everybody wants the open space, so we
specialize in like taking up some walls out even the
new walls that are sticking over the countertops, like the peninsulas,
and we'll just do as much open space as possible.
Depends on the projects. Some projects can be really really
wide open. Some have limits, so we work with the

customers and we always find the best way to do that.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Have you seen any opportunities with some of our older
homes when they try to make them open space.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Yet there's actually we already did a few projects like
that a good thing here in Florida. Most of homes
are trusses, so it's easy to open up the spaces,
and I think we'll be doing more and more of
them because even the customers are potentially older age, but
they still want to have the open space. And now

the family is moving in from the north more and
more and family growing up here. Everybody wants open space,
and all new construction is like that.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Yeah. Yeah, they like to kind of talk and just
it's a good gathering place too when you have that
open space. Yes, And what are some of the problems
that you're seeing? Mostly that come to you with kitchen bathroom.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Models outdated and not functional spaces like closed up spaces.
So when you are in the kitchen, you can only
see either the kitchen cabinets or the walls that being
built around it. So by removing a few cabinets and
open up the wall, that's the best way to go
about that. Also, just updating even the doors or the

(05:44):
hardware or the countertops and backsplash will make the kitchen
make the new look modern look that you are happy
to spend time in it.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Okay, that's awesome. That's excellent on that. Yes, before we
do kind of want to again make sure we get

That's creating your testimonies and you can see pictures there
of some of the product. I can feel that you
put a lot of your own love into your projects too, well.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Were We treat all our customers as our family, so
when we start the project, we want them to feel
like welcome, and we want them to feel that we
know what we are doing and at the end of
the project, we all want to stay friends, family and
love that mirror.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
That's excellent. Again, we have this is where I fail.
Sometimes I'm not normally a DJ, so I need the
time cap on that. Okay, so new construction. Have you
done any new construction here in Florida?

Speaker 4 (07:12):
Yes, we are onto our turn one at the moment.
It's in Cape Coral and we already sign a contract
for a fourth one in Cape Coral as well.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Nice. And what can you tell me that stands out
about that home?

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Well, that home is on the water, so it will
it has a beautiful views. There will be also a
pool that we have to squeeze in between the house
and the sea wall itself. It would be a challenge,
but with my experience when it comes to construction of
the homes and the pool company that will be doing
the pool, I think we can do it nice.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
And how big is the home?

Speaker 4 (07:44):
A five thousand square feet? Oh so it's a pretty
big scise.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Well it's a nice website too, by the way, Oh
thank you.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
What will it be done for the parade of homes?

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Probably not because we just started like two months ago.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Yeah. And what do you say seeing the estimated time
on a build right now?

Speaker 4 (08:03):
So our previous builds, one of them was five thousand
square feet. It took a little bit over a year.
The second build took seven months. It was three thousand
square feet home. Wow, and this home probably will be
built within ten months.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
And a lot of your subs, these are local subs
that you're using, correct.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Yes, so we use local shops. It took us some
time to find o good people to work with and
we care about them once we were working with us
as a subcontractor or employee. We treat you or as
a family and no stress on the job site. Everything
has to be done, you know, according to standards, and
that's about it.

Here like that? Well it's Christmas, hey, by the way,
Merry Christmas lately. Yes, Santa Claus is coming soon, Yes
he is. So we are here with our friends Miro
and Bella with MK Construction Group LLC. And we were
talking a little bit earlier about the remodeling. I'd love
to go back into that. I know that there's been
a mottery modeling done, of course, you know, after you

(09:49):
get hit with five hurricanes in three years. But I
also know that there's a lot of people that are
still wanting to maybe even sell their home or look
at updating their home. Kitchen and bath is what I'm
hearing is some of your favorites. Yes, what are some
of the trends that you're seeing now? Any new trends
that are coming in for kitchen and bathroom outline.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
So when it comes to the bathrooms, I would say
it's a lighter and large format tile. Also is when
it comes to hardware and colors of the shlooter and
fix flammy fixtures brass or gold, that's becoming very popular. Yes, yeah,
that when you use that, you make the bathroom like

(10:29):
standing out more and like it's it looks like it
costs more as well. So that's one of the big
things before the bathrooms. When when it comes for the kitchen,
I think it's functionality, so like open up kitchens, big
islands when family gathers with some overhangs. Also a very
nice hardware when it well, say, if you have a

(10:51):
pantry cabinet in the kitchen using a long handles for it,
build out refrigerator and fridges to cover this up. And
when it comes to the door style, we see more
and more laminate like a flat panel cabinets becoming very
popular in many different colors.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Really yes, exciting all right. When it comes to the
open space, I'm seeing a lot of different trends as
what people are putting underneath the counter.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
So one of them would be a microwave. It's good
to have a microwave in the Islands. Some some customers
put like a refrigerator or ice maker. If there's a
room for it. For the icemaker, you need to have
the plumbing, so that will be considered when you're planning
for you for your kitchen.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
My age group is love and the wine cabinets too,
a little winery or wine cabinet, yes, yeah, tip for storage, Yeah,
that works really well when you're entertaining guests.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
Yes, it's very handy and I'm seeing.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
We saw this a lot with our parade of homes
last year. Is walk in pantries. Where are you seeing
more trends of that too?

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Yes, I forgot about that. We did one project like
that in Long Bookey when we did the kitchen, it
wasn't so spacious as we wanted to be. But that's
a very popular, I think trend in high end homes,
I would say, and especially in new construction. Yes, that
that's become like.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
You could hide have all your suites and hide them
from everybody too.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Yeah, we had we have one contractor he was showing
it was almost like a whole hidden room too back
there on some of these homes. So that's kind of
something new that we're seeing a lot of too.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
It's basically the kitchen behind the kitchen.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Yeah, yeah, that would be my bedroom. I think I
love that on that great and walk us through the
process if somebody wanted. I think that's sometimes that's the
hardest thing. Somebody says, yeah, I want to update my kitchen,
but they don't even know how to start take them

(13:02):
through the process that How do they figure out how
much money they need to spend or have, or even
how to make the choices? How do you handle that mirror?

Speaker 4 (13:13):
So a lot of I think customers these days go
onto online Google searches and they ask how much the
kitchen costs, how much the bathroom costs.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Which is cracked all the time.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
Yeah, which is not always a great answer because let's
say Google will pull out a blog or a website
from a different state where the area is not populated
so much, the prices will be lower. When it comes
to southest Florida, that tends to be a little bit
on the higher side. Depends which area we work with.

(13:47):
When it comes to the budget for the kitchen, we
always ask the customers what they like, what kind of
a door style they like, what kind of a functionality
they like, and based on that we show them as
samples in the show room that will fit there of
a budget and kitchen can cost. The ranges will be,
you know, from forty fifty sixty thousand, sometimes two hundred

thousand dollars and depends on the budget, like you said,
And that's the way our salesperson, Tracy, that she's the
one that's figuring this out. What the customer wants, what functionality,
How big is the kitchen. Do we have to move
into plumbing. Let's save the budget is still coming too much.
We can keep the sink or refrigerator in the same

(14:31):
place and that will always lower the budget. So there
are ways too that we can work out with the
customer and even if the budgets are too high for them.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
So if somebody wanted a remodeling project done, can they
just walk into your showroom and just kind of start
getting ideas.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
Yeah, So our sales processes look like we got the
lead or a phone call, and we try to set
up an appointment at the customer's site, at the customer
house so they feel comfortable when they're talking to us.
Then we gather all the information what they want to achieve.
We try to find out what kind of a finishes
they want, what kind of appliances they want to use,

(15:09):
and then when the estimate is ready, we invite them
to our showroom and where they can select all the tiles,
all the finishes, countertops, door styles based on the budget
that we present into them. Sometimes the budget works, we
go with that and that they sign a contract and
we schedule the project. If the budget doesn't work, we
make the changes, we divide them again, and we always

(15:33):
try to do the best way to serve our customers
by inviting them to our show more way where they
can touch the cabinets, the new trends. We have plenty
of tiles, a few kitchen, showrooms and a few bathrooms
on the display as well.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Is that when you get involved ber Yeah, I do,
I end up.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
I'm basically a support. I have their back at all times.
Tracy and Mirror are absolutely phenomenal in how they present everything.
The showroom is amazing. I have never worked in an
environment like this. I've been in construction for over thirty years.
I also work with another wonderful woman, which is Miro's wife, Barbara.

(16:17):
The two of us are basically their support. We try
and make that the finance part of it as easy
as possible for the customer. We want to make it
so that it's a very smooth transition for them because
they're taking their time and their money and trusting us
to provide a service that is very unique to their care,

(16:39):
you know, to their product in which their investment is
their home, and their home is what we want to
show that we respect at all times.

Donna, Hey, so glad to be here today. We were
talking during the break, but one of the things I
want to say that when you were talking, well, we
were talking about the different building departments around. Was the
last thing you just said.

Speaker 4 (18:00):
Well, I can say definitely that the Charlotte County Building
Department is one of the easiest to work with.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
I love hearing that. We'll make sure that we let
other people hear that you've said that too.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Because that hasn't always been the case.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
No, it has not.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
Yes, Yeah, when we go back in the night and
a lot of people I always say, I always call
it the PTSD. We go back to the last situation
that we dealt with so many people that think Charlotte
County has all these issues. It's really from where they're from,
where the issues are, and they're bringing that issue here.
We don't have those issues. We don't especially, and I'm

very involved in many in many areas within our community,
and I could see that. And it's not that I'm
just too trusting. I just know that we do a
lot of things right. Why because at one point we
did do them wrong, but we we've corrected so much
and I'm very proud of our counties. So thank you
for sharing on that. Now, let's go back into the remodeling.

(19:01):
You were talking about the three D design. Take us
back into the process and walking somebody, a customer through
the remodel.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
So during the sales call in the customer's house, we
usually take all the information measurements that we can use
to create a three D design plan and a two
D view for what they will be getting. So we
do two versions of it. One of them is what
is existing and then what is going to be a

(19:31):
proposed plan And at the estimated review at our showroom,
we show what's possible, what we can do. There's always
one option or two what we can do with the
existing space. And three D visualizations help customers to see
what they can get, what they were thinking for the

(19:52):
last few months, and they were researching all the products,
all the contractors and what's possible. And finally when they
reach out to us, they will get that they will
be ready to start their remodeling project.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Now when somebody was is to come walk into your
office right now and say, hey, I want to redo
my kitchen. How far out are we looking until.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
Completion, Well, we are booked for another I would say
two months right now. So sales process is not only
going to the customer's office preparing the estimate and presenting
the estimate. After we sign the contact with the customers,
then you have to order all the selections, which right

(20:38):
now we see some delays happening again maybe because of tarists,
I don't know. And the next thing is the permits.
If you are in Charlotte County, you're lucky it will
be a month or less, and the other municipalities it
might be a little bit longer. But we take care
of everything. We apply for the permits. We make sure
that all the applications are ready and that usually takes

(21:00):
a month to two months. And when we get the permit,
we start almost right away, within like five to ten
business days.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Love that and then how much How long is the demo?

Speaker 4 (21:11):
So bathroom remodelings can be anything two to four weeks.
It all depends what we are doing in the bathroom.
We are replacing countertops, vanities, and shower glass that takes
some time. Are shorter, is a shorter time to get
any cabinet would be four weeks, but we've seen three

(21:32):
months with the semi custom or custom high end cabinets,
up to three months just to get because the guys
are so busy to.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Make the project flow best. Because I hear different things
from different contractors, do you think it's best if the
customer is at home while the project is going on
or do you maybe recommend hey, go take a vacation
while we do your home.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
Well, with the bathrooms, you can definitely stay at home
with secured area by covering a thing from floors, furniture
to art. And when it comes to the kitchen, if
you have a family, I think you might have to
find a place for three four weeks because it might
be challenging to live at the house without the kitchen.

(22:17):
But we've seen, we've done We've done it both ways.
We've done it when when the customer was living at
the house and when they were not. But in South
the Florida a lot of homeowners are second time homeowners,
so a lot of them leave for the summer, so
then we can go in and do all the work
while they are gone.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
So that's your big that's when you're doing a lot
more of your work, isn't it.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
Actually, kitchens can take anything from three to five weeks.
All depends what we are doing. So that's why it's
one of the most important things before we start anything
after the estimate presentation is order everything, select everything, because
when you when I start the project and something is
not selected or ordered, then you ask for trouble because

(23:01):
you're in the middle of the kitchen and we're missing
one cabinet, or in the middle of the bathroom and
we're missing let's say counter it up or selections was
not made, which is the worst. If customer cannot decide
what they want, then I tend to not start the
project until that's done.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
Now, you were saying that you have a lot of
Snowberg customers or second time home or second homeowners. Yes,
you do a lot of work for full time people here.

Speaker 4 (23:27):
Too, of course all the time.

Speaker 2 (23:29):

Why not if my husband came to me and said, well,
I don't do any of the cooking, so it doesn't matter.
But I'm a bad example. But you know if my
husband came to me and said, I'm here, I'm going
to redo the kitchen for you this year, I'd be
excited for that. Well that's better than like Christmas chocolate.

Right now, we have a clan offers going on our
Facebook where you get either a free countertop or free
vanity for the bathroom.

end of the year, but now it's right before Christmas,
or we might we might extend it a little bit, okay.

do you want to start maybe with the money part.

One of the things that people need to understand is
that we understand that your home is your investment, and
we want to make sure that your investment continues to
grow from the time you own it to possibly the
time you sell it. So we offer financing. A lot
of people look at it and say, oh, I really
wish I could do this or I do that, but

(26:45):
I can't afford it. With us, you can. We provide
that opportunity for you.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Oh and if you reach.

Out to us, you would speak to me or Barbara
and we would help you walk through that process one
step of a time. We are your side at all times,
just like your own TRACYR with the designs with the
products and giving you that dream kitchen, bathroom, or whatever
room you want to do. We want to make sure

that your investment, your job, your home, and your dream
project goes as smoothly as possible without any hiccups at
all times.

wanting to do a remodeling project.

Well, one of the things when it comes to finances,
we never ask for a huge down payments. If it's
a smaller projects, we would add probably thirty we would
ask for thirty forty percent, but with the large projects,
it would be ten to fifteen percent the most just
to start the process. And then when the pyramid is ready,
when you start, when we're ready to start the work,

(27:53):
then we ask for the next down payments for the
homeowners to consider a contactor. I think one of the
biggest things these days with all the social media and
Google searches or AI searches, is you need to research
the market. You need to research the name of the
contractor the phone number, the email, because many things can

(28:16):
surprise you once you start doing that. If no one
if you search someone and is not present in the
social media, it means that might he might not either
have either experience or existence in the market yet that
that's not the reason to not hire them, but we
have to be cautious with that. Also the license number,

(28:37):
which is very important, and how long someone is in
the business, either here in Florida or outside the states,
when they when they relocated, because if something goes wrong
down the road, like six months, two years down, two
years later, you need someone to pick up the phone
and take her off the issues. And we been two

(28:59):
and a half years and we already had some call
box about some glass and some other small issues. And
we always take her of our customers because, like I said,
we treat them like a family.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
If I could add on to that, really, if you
don't mind, I call it the construction lottery. When you
go buy a lottery ticket, you're putting money out there
and you are hoping to win, but you may lose,
and most of the times you're going to lose rather
than win. The license is so important. However, when it
comes to the kitchen and remodeling, so much of the
work does not need a license anymore. The local licenses

(29:32):
were taken away, but anytime a wall is moved, anything structural,
when you're moving or touching the plumbing or the electrical work,
and you have an electrical license too, which is exciting.
So many people say, or you may have some the
people who are just trying to get that check from

(29:53):
you just oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, they're charging you
more money just because they're a license. There's a reason.
Oh really, yeah, they're just charging yeah, they just have
a license here, they don't.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
You don't need a license for that.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
That The problem is is that we have a community
that does not verify. They believe the word of the
bad people that are out there, and unfortunately they'll call
us after the fact, and it's so heartbreaking because it's
going to cost probably twice as much money for them
to have to fix what the yahoos broke and then

(30:33):
come back and then do it correctly. And a lot
of times people say, I don't have the money for that,
it's not worth the chance. Don't play the construction lottery anyway.
So thank you, and you have it on your shirt.
And that's what I wanted to point out when people
say that they're licensed, it is not a business tax receipt.

(30:53):
You must have your Florida State contractor license on all
your advertising. And I love the fact that you even
added to your shirt. It's right on there very and
you could verify that you can see who you know
at the state level if any complaints have been filed.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
One of the things with us, you were just speaking
about the lottery. When they go with us, they hit
the jackpot. We love that we are one for our
clients at all times. When we do something, you're not
going to have to worry about going anywhere else because
we are going to do it right the first time
and we'll take care of you at a later date.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
I love that. And do you have a warranty on
your projects?

Speaker 4 (31:34):
Yes? So typical warranty is always one year for all
our labor and materials that we supply. Also some suppliers
have a longer warranted that we also take it off.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
That's such a peace of mind to know that if
you come in and there is an issue, because sometimes
it happens, you know, it's human nature. Projects happen or
something may fail on something.

Speaker 4 (31:56):
But we stand our we stand behind our work. So
even if we the call five years later, we're going
to go and fix it because the way we do
our projects, we try to do it right. The first time,
and if something happens and the first time doesn't work,
we rip it out and do it again because we
have to stand behind our work.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
I appreciate and I can believe that.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
And to make a point, we have customers that call
us or tell Tracy and Mirrol about our workers, about
our subcontractors, how professional they are, how kind they are,
how friendly they are. We have people that represent us
out on these sites. We're not there all the time,

(32:39):
so they have that come back to us. And at
the same time, our reviews, our reviews are amazing, and
I want people to look at those reviews because those
reviews alone will tell.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
You what we are and they're from actual customers.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
I can actual customers who came in just like maybe
they will nervous, concerned about it, about what they're going
to get, how things are going to be, and how
smooth it's going to run.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
We recommend to clients that if you're looking at reviews,
to ask the contractors for testimonials or even go visit
job sites, depending on where they're at there too. So
I love the fact that you're bringing that up and
standing behind that as well. That's very important.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
We have great customers that are proud of the work
that we do and are willing to show the work
at no problems at all. That's how much our customers
like the work we've done. Not only our staff, our team,
our family. Miro takes not only the customers at their family,

(33:44):
but also his staff and his subcontractors, and you'll see
that in our work and our presentation.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
I love that. I know we have just a few
more minutes left, too, so I want to make sure
is there anything else, especially like, what's one of the
biggest mistakes you see with somebody who's wanting a remodeling project.
Are you seeing any big trends?

Speaker 4 (34:06):
But I would say just hiding anybody else the seat
without doing their research, that would be one of the mistakes.
And giving them a large don't payment. Then you're gonna
which one you're not never going to see again. I
think that's the biggest red flock that the customers do.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
Florida State Statute forty nine point one twenty six reminds
you that if you give anything more than a ten
percent deposit, a permit must be pulled within thirty days exactly. Yeah,
any if they if they start ghosting you, it can
actually be a phony.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
Our process for getting the permit is immediate. We start
doing it as soon as everybody has what they want
us to do, because we want to make sure that
again that the process is smooth and in a timely manner.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
Excellent, and can we get your contact information again for

on projects today right or okay? Soon?

Speaker 4 (35:07):
Small projects yes, but the bigger projects require time to prepare,
to design, to order everything and also permitting. So as
soon as you can start any project is at least
a month. But we are booked probably for about next
two months. And also Christmas is pushing everything forward as well,
because everybody wants to take some time from hard working

(35:29):
for the past year.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
But as we talked, they can just get a gift card.

Speaker 4 (35:33):
That's my work too.

I think that that's a great idea. Really, first name hip,

Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay.
