Glen Martin has over 30 years of experience in the formation of development and finance platforms in the renewable energy and space infrastructure. Prior to founding The Extraterrestrial Mining Company (XMC) in 2023, he was the founder and CEO of Hyox Inc. a developer of green hydrogen ‘electrofuels’ for airports and spaceports. Before that he founded Infrastructure Energy, a developer of community-scale intelligent grid projects, and Pod Generating Group (PGG) a developer of terrestrial solar PV projects. PGG developed and sold a CAD328 million investment for its first 60MW of solar photovoltaic projects in Ontario, Canada. Glen previously co-founded ProtoStar Limited, a satellite operator that closed USD540 million in funding to construct and launch two direct-to-home television satellites serving Asia, ProtoStar I and ProtoStar II. Glen also developed new satellite initiatives with Hughes Information Technology Systems in Russia, Brazil, Hong Kong, and India. At the beginning of his career, Glen worked for McDonnell Douglas Space Systems Company (now The Boeing Company) on the International Space Station, as well as Boeing de Havilland Canada and Rolls-Royce Canada. Glen holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Aerospace Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) in Toronto, Canada and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California.
