Extraordinary value meets organic winemaking in this surprising $5.99 find from Trader Joe's. The Granite Coast Organic Monterey Rosé 2024 defies expectations with its subtle complexity and refined flavor profile—all delivered at a price point that seems almost impossible.

When most budget wines sacrifice quality for affordability, this light-bodied rosé from Scheid Family Vineyards proves that decades of expertise can transform modest ingredients into something special. Established in Monterey County since the early 1970s—before the region even gained official AVA status—Scheid has pioneered sustainable and organic farming practices throughout their extensive vineyard holdings. This history of innovation and commitment to quality shines through even in their value-priced offerings.

Upon tasting, the wine reveals delicate notes of cherry, pink lemonade, orange zest, and stone fruit, with hints of exotic spice adding unexpected dimension. The golden-yellow hued rosé absolutely demands proper chilling to showcase its best qualities. At just 12.5% alcohol, it's perfect for casual summer gatherings—four bottles cost less than $25, making it an ideal choice for entertaining without compromising on taste. The convenient screw cap closure adds practicality for outdoor occasions, allowing you to place it alongside your beer bucket without worry.

Whether you're a budget-conscious wine lover or simply appreciate finding hidden gems, this organic rosé demonstrates that quality wine experiences don't require emptying your wallet. Try it this summer while it's fresh and vibrant—your guests will never guess the price tag behind their enjoyable glass.

Again for cheapwinefindercom.
As always, we've got anothervalue price wine today.
This is really a value pricewines.
This is a $5.99 wine fromtrader Granite Coast Organic
Monterey Rosé 2024.

(00:24):
We back in like 2014,.
We did the 2013 Granite CoastRed Blend.
That one was $4.99.
So these Granite Coast wineshave been very inexpensive.
They are made by Sheed FamilyVineyards out of Monterey.

(00:45):
They're a large, very goodMonterey.
They've been in Monterey sincelike 71, 72.
Monterey didn't even become anAVA until the 80s.
So these are pioneers inMonterey wine.
They make a lot of wine.
They make the William Wrightwines for Aldi and they've made
a bunch of Trader Joe's winesthat I wouldn't be surprised to

(01:08):
see their wines at Costco.
So they know what they're doing.
They are a they're big inpioneers into sustainable
farming and production practicesin the vineyard and both in the
winery.
And they've been transitioningtheir vineyards over to organic.

(01:30):
So this is the Granite CoastOrganic Monterey Rosé.
Is it from their vineyards?
I don't know.
You know it could be.
I mean, it could possibly be.
I don't have any informationsaying that.
Or they could have bought it.
Since they've been there sincethe 70s, they have friends who
might have had.
Hey, I got some organic grapesthat I got a contract canceled.

(01:54):
Can you do anything with them?
That could be the possibilitytoo.
So how's the wine?
And it's, you know it is alight-bodied rosé.
It's got light color.
It almost has more goldenyellow than pink and it's

(02:17):
slightly complex, which I didn'texpect for $5.99.
It's got good flavor.
Note to myself is make sure youkeep this wine on ice.
It tastes much better chilledthan room temperature.
Not that it's bad roomtemperature, but chilled is

(02:38):
where you want to be.
It's got some nice cherry.
Got some pink lemonade, thatlittle tart thing going on.
I got some orange zest.
I got some stone fruit.
I got maybe some ripe plum.
None of the flavors are ripeand juicy, you know, uh, but
they're there.
Got some exotic spice for a $6organic rosé.

(03:01):
It actually tastes really,really good.
Take another sip.
I don't know anything about it.
I don't even know the grapesthey used.
I mean, I don't know what's.
You know there's different waysyou can make rosé.

(03:23):
There's all sorts of things.
It's a 2024, which means thatyou know they didn't age it too
long.
It is a young wine.
It's probably meant to be agedthis to be drunk this summer.
You probably can get away withit over the winter and maybe in
the next spring.
I mean it'll still be good nextyear, but right now is the time
you want to get it.
Spring it'll mean it'll stillbe good next year, but right now

(03:47):
is the time you want to get it.
Don't know exactly where thevineyards are.
Um Sheet Family Vineyards.
They they own the copyright onthem.
That's how I found it that theyown this granite coast, so
that's how I know it's theirwine and they have vineyards all
over Monterey.
And Monterey is one of those, one of those ABAs where they run

(04:08):
the gamut with climate places.
You know Pinot Noir is here, but you can actually do Cabernet
Sauvignon over here and Merlotover there and maybe Chardonnay
here and Sauvignon Blanc overhere.
It's just one of those placesthat is a jack of all trades and
they have vineyards everywhere.
Like I said, they've been doingit for since the 70s.

(04:31):
So this is a.
They got 50 years of experience.
If you want anybody making your599 wines, it's a winery with
50 years of experience.
That's all I got to say.
It's a good rosé.

(04:52):
Keep it chilled, you'll behappy.
$5.99.
Next time you have friends over.
Buy a few bottles, put it inthe same bucket of ice where you
got the beer.
It's got a screw cap on it soit's safe.
It won't tip over and spill outand shoot.
It's four bottles of wine forunder 25 bucks.

(05:14):
Have some people over?
It's 12, 5 in the alcohol.
You're not going to get your.
Uh well, you, you probablywon't get your guests drunk, and
so that's it.
So that's domain dave chiefwinefindercom.
I've got a?
Um, I've got a Grenache fromFossil Robles coming up next

(05:36):
from a really good vineyard or areally good wine family.
We'll talk about that in a fewdays.
