Have you ever wondered what truly separates those who achieve their dreams from those who don't? The answer might be simpler than you think.

In this powerful episode, I strip away the complexities of success and focus on its foundation: belief. Not as a motivational speaker, but as someone who's stood alone in front of the mirror questioning if I had what it took – I share why believing in yourself isn't just motivational fluff, but the essential first step toward everything you want to achieve.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Life is waiting for you each day and you have to
prepare for each challenge alongthe way towards success.
It's not simple, but it can bedone.
Welcome to my Common SenseMotivation episodes.
I'm Chris Fantastic Powell.
Believe you can, and you'realready halfway there.
Let me talk to you for a minute, not as a coach, not as a

(00:23):
speaker, not as a motivator, butas someone who's had to believe
in himself when no one else did.
Believe you can, and you'realready halfway there.
Now I know it sounds simple, maybe even a little corny, but
let me tell you something thatsimple belief is a spark that
lights the fire.
Everybody wants a successfullife.

(00:45):
Everybody wants the dream, thebreakthrough, the purpose, the
peace, but none of it and I meannone of it starts until you
believe.
It's even possible.
I've seen it, I've lived it.
I've stood in front of my ownmirror, questioning if I had
what it took.
And the truth.
I did, but not until I toldmyself I did.

(01:07):
Belief is not about magic.
It's not about wishing on astar.
It's about choosing to getbehind yourself before the world
does, because you are yourfirst responder, you are your
first cheerleader, you are theone who has to get you off the
floor.
You are the one who has to getyou off the floor.
You are the one who has topoint you in the direction of

(01:27):
change.
And here's the part most peoplemiss Belief is not loud.
It doesn't always come withfireworks or applause.
Sometimes belief whispers Idon't know how, but I know I can
.
And too often we wait.
We wait for someone to believe, for us, to tell us we're good
enough, smart enough, capableenough.

(01:48):
But belief doesn't work likethat.
It never has.
No one can believe for you.
That's your job, that's yourresponsibility, that's your gift
.
So let me ask you do youbelieve?
You can, not because the worldtold you, not because the odds
are perfect, but because you'vedecided that quitting is not an

(02:10):
option and becoming who you'remeant to be matters more,
because when you do, when youreally believe, you'll discover
that everything you've beenchasing has been chasing you
back this whole time.
Believe you can, and you'realready halfway there.
Make it happen.
I'm Chris Fantastic Powell.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
