Speaker 1 (00:00):
Life is waiting for you each day and you have to
prepare for each challenge alongthe way towards success.
It's not simple, but it can bedone.
Welcome to my Common SenseMotivation episodes.
I'm Chris Fantastic Powell.
This is dedicated to Dan andClaire, and from the late, who I
called Mr K, whose phrase stillechoes in our lives it's your

(00:25):
thoughts that create your ownpain.
Every day, when you wake up,you're holding the steering
wheel of your mind.
Your thoughts are the engine, the fuel and the direction.
What you choose to dwell onwill either push you toward
peace and success or chain youto pain and defeat.
Pain doesn't begin in yourcircumstances.

(00:46):
It begins in your thinking.
If you tell yourself you're notgood enough, life will echo
that back.
If you repeat to yourself thatyou can't, your actions will
follow that command.
But when you decide that youcan, that you will and that your
life is worth living withpurpose, then even obstacles

(01:08):
will become stepping stones.
Success and failure don't startoutside of you.
They're planted first in yourmind.
Happiness isn't waiting in somefaraway moment.
It begins right now, in how youchoose to see today.
So guard your thoughts liketreasure.
Refuse to give space to thelies of fear, doubt or

(01:30):
negativity.
Speak life into your own heart.
Think in the direction ofgrowth, of joy and of
possibilities, because the truthis simple the thoughts you
choose today will build the lifeyou live tomorrow.
Here's a story Daniel and thetwo seeds.

(01:54):
Daniel woke up every morningwith the same battle.
On one side of his mind, therewas a voice whispering you're
not good enough, you'll failagain, or even why try?
On the other side, a quietervoice spoke you can, you're
capable, just keep moving.
For years, daniel fed the firstvoice.
He let the negative thoughtsgrow like weeds and they choked
out his confidence, hishappiness and his progress.

(02:15):
He lived in pain, not becauselife was cruel, but because his
own thoughts built a prisonaround him.
One morning, tired of feelingtrapped, daniel made a choice.
He said out loud no more.
He decided to feed the otherside, the one that spoke of hope
and potential.
Every day, he watered that seedwith new thoughts I will

(02:38):
succeed, I will rise.
I am stronger than my fears.
At first, nothing seemed tochange, but over time the weeds
of doubt grew weaker and theseed of belief grew stronger.
His actions followed histhoughts.
He worked with focus, he smiledagain, he built momentum and
soon the pain he once carriedwas replaced with life filled

(03:01):
with progress, joy and purpose.
The truth Daniel discovered isthe same truth for you.
Your thoughts are the seedsPain or purpose, failure or
success.
It's what you choose to plantand water every single day.
Your greatest enemy isn'toutside of you.
It's the thoughts you choose tobelieve and remember.

(03:24):
It's your thoughts that createyour own pain.
Make it happen.
