Speaker 1 (00:00):
Life is waiting for you each day and you have to
prepare for each challenge alongthe way towards success.
It's not simple, but it can bedone.
Welcome to my Common SenseMotivation episodes.
I'm Chris Fantastic Powell.
The Art of Letting Go.
There comes a time in every lifewhen holding on costs more than

(00:21):
letting go.
We grip people, dreams, habitsand situations because we think
they defined us, because we'reafraid of what life will look
like without them.
But here's the truth when youhold on to what no longer works,
you're closing your hands towhat could work.
Letting go isn't weakness, it'sstrength.

(00:41):
It takes courage to say thisisn't for me anymore.
It takes discipline to stopfeeding energy into something
that has already shown you itwon't grow.
Think about it.
A tree doesn't fight to hold onto dead leaves.
It lets them fall, because onlythen can new leaves come.
The same is true in your life.

(01:02):
Some people you've been caringare only adding weight.
Some dreams you've been chasingare not your destination.
They were only your trainingground.
Some paths you've been walkingdon't lead to the future you
want, and that's okay.
The art of letting go is reallythe art of opening up.
Opening up space for newrelationships, better

(01:23):
opportunities and the rightdreams that will actually take
you to where you want to go.
You can't climb a mountain withboth hands full of yesterday's
baggage.
Release it, put it down, freeyour spirit to rise.
And letting go doesn't meangiving up.
It means leveling up.
It's choosing to invest yourenergy where it matters, where

(01:44):
it grows, where it leads youforward.
So today, make the decision tolet go of what no longer serves
you, to let go of the voicesthat doubt you, the people who
drain you and the dreams thatdistract you.
Step into the power of yourpurpose with hands wide open,
ready to receive everything thatbelongs to you, because your

(02:06):
future isn't behind you, it's infront of you.
Make it happen.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
