SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Life is waiting for you each day, and you have to

(00:02):
prepare for each challenge alongthe way toward success.
It's not simple, but it can bedone.
Welcome to my common sensemotivation episodes.
I'm Chris FantasticPow.
The Martian Visitor The Power ofDifferences The story begins
with a visitor, a Martian.

(00:23):
He was sent from another worldon a mission.
His task was simple ObserveEarth, see if differences were
truly necessary to build agrowing civilization.
When the Martian landed he sawsomething strange.
People of every color, speakingdifferent languages, eating
different foods, believing indifferent things.

(00:45):
And yet somehow the world keptturning.
He took notes, watchedcarefully, and thought to
himself How can such a worldexist with so many differences
and still create, still love, and still thrive?
And then he realized a truth.
It wasn't despite theirdifferences that humans grew, it

(01:07):
was because of them.
You see, it takes a whole lot ofdifferent kinds of people to
make this world spin the way itdoes.
Different thinkers, differentdreamers, and different doers.
And without those differences, there'd be no creativity, no new
ideas, no families built fromlove that crossed lines, no food
that made you taste culture, nobusiness born from bold minds

(01:31):
that said why not try it thisway?
We drive different cars, eat atdifferent restaurants, go to
different schools, weardifferent clothing and act
different ways, and somehow weexist through it all.
That's not by accident, that'sby design.
But somewhere along the way westarted acting like different

(01:52):
meant wrong.
Like if someone doesn't thinkthe way you do, dress the way we
do, they don't belong.
No, that's where we miss thelesson.
You could be heading to animportant operation and pass by
someone who has on two differentcolor gem shoes, with red and
green hair only to find out thatthat's the surgeon who's doing

(02:14):
the important operation on youlater, and is the best in the
world at doing this operation.
You can learn from someonewithout agreeing with them.
You can respect someone's visionwithout sharing it.
You can disagree and still walkaway with wisdom in your hands.
That's growth, that's strength,that's leadership.

(02:36):
Because differences don't dividestrong minds, they develop them.
They stretch their patience, challenge your comfort, and
build your understanding.
So don't run from what'sdifferent, lean into it, learn
from it, and grow because of it.
Because sameness never builtgreatness, and the power of life

(02:58):
and the soul of civilization isfound in the balance of our
differences.
When the Martian returned home,he wrote his final report.
Earth survives and succeeds notbecause its people are the same,
but because they are beautifullydifferent.
Make it happen.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
