Speaker 1 (00:00):
Life is waiting for you each day and you have to
prepare for each challenge alongthe way towards success.
It's not simple, but it can bedone.
Welcome to my Common SenseMotivation episodes.
I'm Chris, fantastic Powell.
What you think you become.
There's no magic in thatstatement.
It's not some mystical phrasepassed down from the stars.

(00:23):
It's truth, raw, simple andpowerful.
What you think you become.
You've heard it before, maybetoo many times, but let's break
it down for real this time.
It's easy to walk aroundlooking motivated, easy to post
the quotes, smile in public, talk a big game.
But let me tell you somethingwhat's going on inside your mind

(00:45):
?
That's the real story.
That's what's creating yourlife, piece by piece.
I'm not talking about money.
Money is just a byproduct.
It shows up when value is giventhrough a service, a product or
creating a solution.
That's been the rule of lifefor thousands of years.
That's been the rule of lifefor thousands of years.
What I'm talking about is thethinking, the mindset, the quiet

(01:09):
, the daily thoughts that no onesees.
Those are the building blocksof who you're becoming.
You don't rise to the level ofyour dreams, you rise to the
level of your habits and habits.
That's created by thought, repeated thoughts, dominant
thoughts over and over.
But here's the problem Too manyare chasing their goals based

(01:33):
on feelings, and feelings areunpredictable.
Emotions are inconsistent, andif you keep shifting direction
every time you feel tired, scared, doubtful or
uncomfortable, you'll never makeit to your destination.
You'll keep starting over, you'll keep rewriting the plan

(01:53):
and you'll keep wondering what'swrong with me?
Nothing is wrong with you.
You've just been following thewrong compass.
Let me give it to you straightyour actions, your words, your
attitude, your discipline, yourcharacter they all follow your
thoughts.
If your thoughts are weak, scattered and lazy, your life

(02:14):
will reflect that.
If your thoughts are clear, focused, persistent, your life
will reflect that too.
This isn't about wishing.
This isn't about hoping.
It's about thinking with intent, consistency, until it becomes
who you are.
You don't get what you want, you get what you are.

(02:34):
So if you want more, startthinking stronger.
If you want better, startfeeding your mind better.
And if you're tired of startingover, then it's time to change
what's playing in your headevery single day, because what
you think you do become.
That's not just a quote, that'syour future.

(02:55):
Here's a story the brokencompass.
There was a young man named Ted, ambitious, smart, full of
ideas.
Every few weeks he had a newdream, a new business, a new
strategy, a new vision forsuccess.
But there was a problem henever finished anything.
One day an old mentor watchedhim walk into the same cafe they

(03:16):
met for years.
Still frustrated, still tryingto figure things out, ted sat
down and sighed I don't know whyI'm not where I want to be.
I've tried so many things.
The mentor didn't say a word.
He pulled out a small worn-outcompass from his pocket and set
it on the table.
Ted raised his eyebrows.

(03:38):
What's that?
The old man smiled.
This compass used to guide myfather through forests, storms,
even war.
But look at it now, ted leanedin.
The needle spun in circles, never landing.
It's broken, ted said Exactly.
The mentor replied it's likeyour mind, full of direction,

(03:58):
changes, full of emotions, fullof doubt, and just like this
compass you've been spinning inplace, you'll never get where
you want to go until you fix itfirst.
He pointed to Ted's head.
Stop following your feelings, start following your thinking,
because your mind, when steady,is your true guide.

(04:19):
From that day forward, ted madea decision no more new dreams,
no more emotional detours.
He picked one direction, onegoal, and every day.
No matter how he felt, hewalked in that direction.
And guess what?
He arrived Not by luck, not bymagic, but by mindset.

(04:41):
So if you want to change yourlife, then focus on changing
your mind.
Make it happen.
