(00:00):
Welcome back to day seven of theFoundation package with Hope.
Yesterday we focused on staying with it and trusting in the
sometimes slow process of growth.
Some days are going to be easierthan others, and that's OK.
You're doing great. OK, let's go ahead and get

(00:23):
started in the usual way by getting comfortable finding your
seat already beginning to relax?Let's start by taking some nice
deep breaths in through the noseand out through the mouth, and

(00:46):
on the next exhale, let the eyesbecome heavy and slowly, close,
consciously begin to relax the body.
Feel the muscles softening, relaxing, releasing.

(01:17):
Feel the weight of the body, feel the space around the body,
Feel the skin and notice the airon the skin.

(01:43):
Notice how the body feels. Gently bring your awareness to
the heart. Notice the rhythm of the

(02:05):
heartbeat. Feel the heart move inward and
see if you can find a place thatfeels safe, that feels secure, a

(02:36):
place you feel loved and calm. Take a moment just to notice
this place. And note that you can come to

(02:58):
this place at any time. Softly move your awareness to
the breath, listening to the sound of the breath.

(03:39):
Just allow your awareness to rest.
Gently bring your awareness to rest with this verse.

(04:03):
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed
by the Spirit is life and peace. And again, the mind governed by

(04:24):
the flesh is death, but the mindgoverned by the spirit is life
and peace. Part of the reason we spend so

(04:48):
much time focusing on being mindful of the body is that it
allows you to take a full surveyof how your body feels, going
piece by piece and turning off the power switch.
Just bringing awareness to the body can be extremely beneficial

(05:11):
in effecting change. As your body relaxes, allow your
thoughts and emotions to rest. Let your heart open, let your
emotions flow and move. Try not to dwell on them or hold

(05:35):
on to them. Just observe them as they are
and let them be. If you get lost in your
thoughts, simply come back to the body or the breath.
It's that easy. Letting your emotions flow in

(06:03):
combination with being aware of your body allows you to
transcend and truly be present and open with God, letting His
presence naturally and effortlessly heal you from the
inside out. Just as our bodies need sleep to

(06:27):
properly function, our spirit needs intimate contact with God
to be restored and to feel fulfilled.
Your soul needs time to rest andrecharge.
By meditating, you're cultivating a friendship with

(06:50):
Jesus. By listening, your perspective
and thoughts change. It's like planting a tree by a
stream, so the tree will bear fruit and the branches won't
wither. The world is full of amazing and

(07:11):
wonderful things, things to appreciate and be thankful for.
But when you put your faith in the things of this world, you're
setting yourself up to be let down.
You're searching for a resolution and a home that only

(07:34):
the God who loves you can provide.
Our lives fill up so quickly with distractions that we forget
our reasons for living. You weren't made just to exist,
but to truly live. You were made to feel love and

(07:58):
to be loved. You were made to last forever.
That's who God designed you to be.
Let yourself relax into your truest nature.
Let your awareness rest. The mind governed by the flesh

(08:27):
is death, but the mind governed by the spirit is life and peace.

(08:48):
God, heal me from the inside out.
Help me let go and let you restore my spirit.
I want to live life with your love.
Help me have patience and trust in your natural process of

(09:12):
healing. Give me the courage to surrender
my thoughts and emotions quietly.
Bring your attention back to thebody and back to the feeling of

(09:35):
the body and feel the space around the body.
Feel the air, then on an inhale slowly begin to open the eyes.
Remember, life is short, our time on earth is limited, so

(09:59):
focus on what's important. Let your mind be governed by the
Spirit and there you will find life and peace.
Take care and we'll see you backnext time for Day 8 of
Foundation.
