Christmas Day - Emmanuel—God With UsScripture: Matthew 1:23 (NIV)
"The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel' (which means 'God with us')."
Merry Christmas! We've arrived at the culmination of our Advent journey. Remember how in Star Wars, with Luke Skywalker they have as the title says “A New Hope” for the galaxy? In a far greater way, Jesus' birth is God stepping into our world and giving us a new hope.
Immanuel—God with us. Not distant, not detached, but here among us. This is the ultimate expression of love, the fulfillment of hope, peace, and joy we've been exploring.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for sending Jesus to be with us. As we celebrate today, let us carry the truth of Emmanuel in our hearts. May we live in the fullness of Your hope, peace, joy, and love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
