Speaker 1 (00:00):
Happy Lord's Day to you, welcome, welcome, welcome.
We're so happy to have you.
You know it's a frost, stillfrosty day here in Tennessee and
I heard we're going to get snowtonight.
Yeah, that's what my forecasttold me.
We're going to get more snowtonight.
So we're literally in the don'tworry, you won't be picked up
over there.
You don't get picked up tillpast that, so you're good.

(00:23):
You don't get picked up untilpast that, so you're good.
I was just in sunny San Diegowhere it was 75 and sunny and
with wildfires.
But you know, I got to actuallysee a wildfire and I got to see
him put it out and that wasinteresting and a blessing.
It was not windy that day.
Thank God it didn't happen.

(00:45):
The next day, where those SantaAna winds were were truly
gusting.
I don't think they would havegot a hold of it because it was
just constant 30, 40 plus milean hour, winds blowing crossways
and I can't even imagine it'sso dry there.
But they also praise the lord.
I heard just got rain and it'sraining an inch of rain, but now
they're worried about mudslides, so and a bunch of other things

(01:06):
.
But they need rain, so praisethe Lord, let's.
I'm glad they.
They got it and I hope they getsome relief there and I hope
they all turn to God.
So, and and conservative ways, christian conservative ways,
there we go.
So that's Gus, if you hear him,my son Magnus Luther, the

(01:27):
blessing.
Welcome to Christ Forged Church,a home church, community
ministry and farm that forgesChristian warriors for today's
challenges.
I've been reading our missionstatement.
I'm only going to do this a fewmore times and then hopefully

(01:49):
everybody will know what we areand what we are about.
Christ Forged Church stands asa training ground for
discipleship and a forge forChristian warriors, uniting
faith and purpose in every stepof the journey.
Our mission is to transform men, women and families into
fearless Christian warriorsthrough discipleship, biblical
truth and hands-on training.
We are building a fellowship ofbelievers united under Christ,

(02:13):
living out a biblical worldviewand advancing his kingdom
Goodbye my love.
With strength and purpose, weare committed to forging men
into biblically masculineleaders, protectors, providers
and disciples who stand unshakenin the face of spiritual and
worldly challenges.
Likewise, we train women asChrist-centered shield maidens,

(02:35):
embracing biblical femininitywhile standing steadfast in
faith and purpose, fightingalongside their families.
I feel like I might be one ofthe lone exceptions out there in
this, as I see a lot of myReformed brothers and we are
definitely Reformed, lean, heavily Reformed who try to
treat their women like delicateflowers and like they're

(02:56):
supposed to be in sewing classesand cooking classes, and you
know and only that.
Whereas I believe that the wholefamily should be Christian
warriors, I believe that weshould educate our children on
how to defend themselves, ourwives on how to defend
themselves and the family, ourshield maidens, because as men,

(03:19):
we fall, we get injured, we godown, we travel, we're out of
town.
We get injured, we go down, wetravel, we're out of town, and I
pray that you don't shelteryour family and your wife to the
point where she cannot defendherself and your family, because
that's what we believe in hereAt Christ Forge Church.

(03:47):
We prepare warriors for bothspiritual and kinetic warfare,
equipping them with the armor ofGod, the courage of faith and
the skills to prevail throughfellowship, the refining fire of
God's word and the bonds of aunited brotherhood.
We are creating a godly, lovingand resilient community, forged
to stand boldly for Christ, advancing his truth and love in
every battle and every season oflife.

(04:08):
But it's simply we're here tobe where the rubber meets the
road on the front lines of eachother's life.
Now I know most of you, most ofour congregation, is online and
our congregation isinternational.
Now we're not big I'm notsaying we're big, but I know
there are people who tune in forhelp in understanding God's

(04:30):
word, guidance for masculineChristianity, guidance for
biblical femininity, guidancefor how does this look?
And here on our 44 acres, wehave a farm and training ground

(04:51):
in church where we do that.
We have cattle, beef cattle, wehave dairy cows, we have egg
birds, we have meat birds, wehave ducks and turkeys and hogs
and everything else in between, and we try to model a resilient
biblical worldview ofindependence from the government

(05:17):
and the state and everythingelse.
So announcements are small andshort.
I'm shorting them for now.
So announcements are small andshort.
I'm shorting them for now.
Christ Forge Locking Shields, which is our Christian
fellowship show, will be back toFridays.
Now that I'm not traveling nextweek, unless I get booked,

(05:45):
we're considering on moving thatto Saturday at 9, because so
many of our clients are choosingThursday Fridays as their
training dates and consultingdates that I am tend to be
either in the air or on the roadand trying to make it back for
the show and I don't want to doprerecorded if I don't have to.
You know, I think the beauty ofthe Christ Forwards Locking
Shield is once it gains enoughpeople, that people.
I want it to be a call in show.

(06:06):
I want it to be where peoplecome for prayer, come for help,
come for guidance, come toexchange knowledge, because none
of us can know everything.
And you know, and I intend toreally work on that, and as we
grow and as you guys invitepeople and tell people to come
in there, I don't want it to bea one man monologue.
I want to interview people andtell people to come in there.
I don't want it to be a one-manmonologue.

(06:27):
I want to interview people andI want to have people coming on
there and asking for help oroffering help on how they solve
challenges in their life, and wecan have a discussion on
whether it's biblical or not andif it is biblical, how great it
is right.
So again, christ ForwardsWalking Shields is a fellowship
show where we discuss all thingsChristian life, prepping,

(06:48):
homesteading, tactics and newstories that will affect us all.
Alright, let's go to prayer, let's go to war.
Dear Heavenly Father, lord, wethank you for all of our
blessings, known and unknown.
We thank you for this amazingLord's Day where we are
commanded to spend time and restin you.
Not just rest, but rest in you, lord.

(07:11):
So help us stay focused on you, help us to check our pity
parties and our gripes and ourgroans and all of our pain and
suffering and struggles at thedoor and realize they are quite
small compared to all theblessings that we have.
The trillions of cells that hadto work perfectly just for us

(07:32):
to wake up this morning, thecountless systems in our body,
whether it be our respiratorysystem, our cardiac system, our
saliva glands, our tear ducts, whatever it is that had to work
perfectly, that are where we arenot suffering right now and
where we are blessed.

(07:53):
Lord, we are so thankful foryour common grace, the grace you
show all mankind, which is yourcreation.
Lord, you didn't have to makeearth beautiful, but you did.
You didn't have to make theheavens beautiful, but you did.
We thank you for that, lord.
We thank you for the sun andthe moon and the stars.

(08:13):
We thank you for this earth, from the mountains to the oceans
and everything in between, allthe beautiful and amazing plant
life and creatures in it thatbring us such joy and sustenance
and companionship.
Lord, we thank you for thepeople in our lives, everyone
made in your image, and we askyou, lord, to help us lead all

(08:37):
of them home to you, for all ofus know those who are truly lost
.
Give us the courage and show us, lord, that we are going to be
judged if we do not, as we'llsee in tonight's text, for not
helping those that are marchingoff to death and those who are

(08:58):
stumbling about to ruin.
Lord, I thank you for thesunrise and sunset.
I thank you for the sound ofchildren's laughter and bird
songs in the morning.
I thank you for the touch of aloved one, a warm fire on a cold
day, a cool breeze on a hot day, the smell of fresh morning

(09:23):
rain and good food, cooking, thetaste of good food, cooking,
the taste of good food and drink.
Lord, we thank you for it all,but we pray that this time would
glorify you and only you, serveyou and only you, and that we
and that we would focus only onyou.

(09:44):
So, lord, may we proclaim youwith every breath of our lungs
and serve you with every beat ofour hearts.
In Jesus' name.
We pray Amen.
If you guys can't sit still andquiet, you've got to go in the
other room, okay, so all right.
So now let's go to you.
May not?
You may be new to Christianityand you may not be great at

(10:06):
prayer.
I am definitely not great atprayer.
There are times where I amsitting in my room, at my table,
at my desk on my knees, orlying in my bed where I fumble
about without any like.
How can I go before the creatorof the universe, the maker of
DNA, the maker of everything, with what I have to say and ask,

(10:29):
and I feel like a clumsy fool.
I feel again that I have noplace there.
And that's a good thing,because that's your humility.
Just know that God does desireyou and you should go to him
humble, because you areundeserving, but he loves you

(10:52):
still.
And coming to him with thatkind of humility, well, that's
the beginning of wisdom.
That's the beginning of wisdom.
So when you get on your knees,I am a child of the living God
and I demand these things.
I will.
You know, I want the Ferrari, Iwant this, I want that.
Jump, jump, god jump.

(11:14):
Where we get into trouble.
We get into a lot of trouble.
Now, if you're going to war forsomebody, go to war against the
forces of darkness and commandGod's legions and ask him to
intervene boldly and we'retalking about ourselves and our

(11:39):
own needs.
That should be the last thing, right?
That should be the last thing.
So God gave us Emmanuel in herein his word on how to pray, in
Matthew 6, 9 through 13.
Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Our Father, that's who we'retalking to.

(11:59):
Our Heavenly Father, whocreated everything.
Hallowed be thy name.
Holy, separate, special, unique, only you.
Thy kingdom come.
Your kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth as itis in heaven.
Your will be done in earth asit is in heaven.

(12:20):
Your will be done in earth asit is in heaven.
Meaning eradicate sin.
Give us this day our dailybread.
Give us what we need, not morethan what we need, just give us
what we need.
Forgive us our debts, forgiveus our sins, as we forgive our
debtors, as we forgive those whohave sinned against us, and

(12:43):
lead us not into temptation, butdeliver us from evil, for thine
is the kingdom and the powerand the glory forever.
Amen.
That is another way, butsometimes the most powerful
prayer is the simplest, like mydaughter's prayers which shake
the universe and move mountains, because there's no doubt, there

(13:06):
is only belief and honesty andtransparency and simplicity.
Just know that.
You need to be in prayer.
All right, so let's get intotoday's message.
We're going to be in Proverbs24, and today I'm not going to

(13:29):
be reading out of the ESV, I'mgoing to be reading out of the
LSB, the Legacy Standard Bible.
So go ahead at home, open yourbooks to Proverbs 24.
Doing our forging challengewhere we do, you know where.
Every day, we do something infaith family, fitness,

(13:52):
fundamentals, finances.
And part of what I've beendoing is reading a proverb every
day a Old Testament, a NewTestament and finish with a
psalm.
And the proverbs have beenblowing me away, no matter how
many times I read them.
If there's one thing you'regoing to read every day, read a
proverb.
Or if you're going to read two, read a proverb and read a Bible
verse the proverbs.

(14:14):
If you just did the proverbs, your life would be infinitely
better and less sorrowful andfull of blessing.
But as we look at who we areand what we're trying to be as
Christian warriors, as defendersof the weak, protectors of our
home as we look at faith, familyfitness, finances and

(14:38):
fundamentals.
Let's go to Proverbs 24, whichthe title, which is in the LSB
but not in the ESV.
This is not inspired by theWord of God.
They just called it this my son, fear Yahweh, which is fear the
Lord One, do not be jealous ofevil men and do not desire to be

(15:00):
with them, for their heartmeditates on destruction and
their lips talk mischief.
So, right away, god is startingthese Psalms, this message, by
telling you not what to do.
He's going to tell you how tobuild a kingdom.
He's going to tell you how tobuild a kingdom.
He's going to tell you how tobuild your house, and the first

(15:23):
thing he's going to tell you isdon't look at wicked people and
how the world does it.
That is not going to work andthere will be accountability to
that, which he's going to gointo later.
So again, when you seelifestyles of the rich and
famous and lifestyle of everyoneelse out there who's doing
things, and you're like man, I'mreally struggling.
One, look at the accountabilityin the mirror and say what

(15:45):
decisions have you made that putyou where you're at?
Have you been leaving, living agodly life?
Have you been working hard, have you been making good
decisions and hold yourselfaccountable?
Because most likely you putyourself where you're at?
But as we look and we see howthe wicked does things, it's

(16:08):
easy to admire strength, evenwhen it's wicked strength.
To look at Vladimir Putin andhow he runs things and how he's
a warrior and we had Joe Biden, who was a joke leading our
country and we're like man, putin's a dictator and, yeah, he
does horrible things, but atleast he's a man, at least he's

(16:28):
strong, at least he's acompetent individual.
But God is saying no, no, no,no, don't even be jealous of
what they have.
By wisdom a house is built andby discernment it is firmly

(16:55):
established, and by knowledgethe rooms are filled with all
precious and pleasant riches.
You are first called to seekwisdom and knowledge, and that
will fill your house withpreciousness and pleasant riches
.
The Bible does not think thatriches, in having possessions,

(17:19):
is a bad thing.
In fact, for most of the OldTestament, if you were in
poverty, it was considered acurse of God upon you.
Your family was separate fromGod, made horrible decisions,
left you no inheritance andtotally set you up for poverty,
or you were in sin and you werebeing punished.
That's how they viewed it inthe Old Testament world.

(17:41):
But here we're seeing thatwisdom.
You know Solomon, when askedfor wisdom, he didn't ask for
riches.
God offered him everything andhe asked for wisdom, and that
brought everything.
And that's what this proverb isgetting into Now, here, in

(18:03):
verse 5, a wise man is strongand a man of knowledge
strengthens his power, for byguidance you will make war, and
in abundance of counselors thereis salvation.
Okay, so let's break down fiveand six.
A wise man is strong and a manof knowledge strengthens his

(18:25):
power, for by guidance you willmake war.
In an abundance of counselors, there is salvation.
A wise man is strong, okay.
Does that mean that a wise manhas to be physically strong?
No, if he's incapable, but ifhe's capable, he should be
strong.
Okay.
Does that mean that a wise manhas to be physically strong?
No, if he's incapable, but ifhe's capable, he should be
strong.
If you're capable of beingstrong, you should be strong.

(18:49):
As I sit here in mydeconditioned state from
injuries and many bad decisionsand an overly busy life and a
lot of excuses that I can throwup here, there is no excuse for
it.
I should be strong.
I should be functional, Ishould be fit.
Why?
Because that makes me the bestasset for my family, the best

(19:10):
vessel for the Holy Spirit, themost potent of warriors, the
most potent of warriors, andmakes my body a blessing instead
of a curse.
And as we get older, you willpay the penalties for the life

(19:31):
you lived beforehand, all thechecks you wrote out, yeah, seal
team, 16 years, ground andpound on your knees and your
ankles and your back andparachuting, accidents and
shoulder separations, slammingoff of ships and all the abuse
you have.
Comes home and you can't be thesame as you were before, but

(19:54):
you can evolve different.
So now I am no longer trying tobe the strongest limit weight
lifter Like I don't want to.
I won't say I don't want tobench 500 pounds anymore,
because benching 500 pounds is alot of fun.
But you know four or five isgood enough, right, and with
preps and staying functional andbeing more flexible, carrying

(20:21):
less weight, being healthier, less pain on my joints All of us
are like that, all of us as weget older.
Unless that is your thing, someguys, that's their thing.
Every day they're looking inthe mirror, they're six pack and
they're doing whatever, andthey're disciplined there.
Every day, they're looking inthe mirror at their six-pack and
they're doing whatever, andthey're disciplined there.

(20:41):
We all have our own pitfalls, whether it's bad family strife
or lack of relationships.
Fitness, financials areterrible.
We don't have any skills thatare valuable to help anyone or
our faith is bankrupt.
So be strong Strong physically, that's the fitness part that we

(21:07):
talked about.
And then knowledge strengthenshis power.
Grow in your skill set.
If you're not doing somethingthat is valuable.
Again, I say this almost everyweekend learn it, learn it.
Don't know how to sow?
Go learn how to sow, you'll bevaluable.
Don't know a trade?

(21:28):
Start learning how to do atrade.
You can learn anything onYouTube For free.
You can learn anything onYouTube.
There is no excuse.
You want to start farming?
Start doing it.
Do you want to start raisinganimals?
When Lauren and I got here, weknew nothing.
We knew nothing, and now we areraising multiple types of

(21:50):
livestock.
We've learned a lot of lessons.
We've had a lot of bumps andbruises.
Could we have done a betterlaunch?
Yes, but how many.
Could we have done a betterlaunch?
Yes, but how many people couldhave done a better launch and
didn't launch Because of theirtimidity, because of their
cowardness, because of theirquest for comfort and we're
going to talk about that lateron.

(22:12):
For by guidance you will makewar, and the abundance of
counsel is there is salvation.
This is talking about gettingcounsel, getting your war
counsel.
Before you make a good decision, pray, go to the Lord for the
counsel.
Say Lord, help me with thisdecision.
And you may say something likethis put wise, discerning people

(22:33):
in my life to guide me in this.
If you don't have a war counselyet, if you've done the work
and you've built a war councilof people that you trust, who
know all your weaknesses, youknow all theirs bring your
decisions to them and use themas a sounding board.

(22:54):
You are not the finger.
It doesn't have to not talk tothe brain to do something.
In fact, the brain has to tellthe finger to move.
Now we have certain things asreflexes.
You go to the doctor's office.
They tap your knee and yourknee jerks.
You don't want to bereflexively doing everything in
your life.
You want your brain to bedeliberately doing this, because

(23:14):
sometimes reflexes can becatastrophic.
So go to wise counsel.
Go to wise counsel.
Wisdom is too exalted for anignorant fool, meaning that
wisdom is too high for anignorant fool.

(23:34):
He can't understand it.
He does not open his mouth inthe gate.
Now that I think and again I'mnot sure on this and I've been
reading some things is sayingthat at the gate of towns.
That is where business was done, that is where important things
were said.
That is sometimes wheregovernment back in the day,
where all business was run, andthe fool there does not open his

(23:57):
mouth at the gate because hehas nothing to say, he can't
figure out what to say andtherefore nothing good happens
for him.
Now here we go.
One who deliberately thinks todo evil men will call a schemer,
meaning often you earn thereputation you have If you've
done people bad and you are ajerk have.

(24:22):
If you've done people bad andyou are a jerk and you have paid
and done wickedness, paid outevil and wickedness to others,
then you're going to be known asa schemer.
The scheming of folly is sinand the scoffer is an
abomination to men.
And we've seen that the scofferis an abomination to the Lord

(24:42):
in other verses.
If you are slack in the day oftrouble, if you are weak in the
day of trouble, your strength isin trouble, meaning if the day
of trouble comes and you're notprepared, you are in trouble.
You didn't prepare right, youweren't ready, you weren't

(25:06):
braced, you weren't trained up.
Now here is something thatjumped out at me and I can't
believe I didn't see it before.
Something that jumped out at meand I can't believe I didn't
see it before Deliver, though, like again, I'm going to say
something here later on thateveryone quotes.

(25:27):
I have never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever heard a pastor
quote this, because it'sdangerous and it's
action-oriented Deliver thosewho are being taken away to
death and those who arestumbling to the slaughter.
Oh, hold them back.
Do you hear that?
Deliver those who are beingtaken away to death.

(25:53):
Free those who are being takenaway to death and those who are
stumbling to the slaughter.
We are called to set free tobattle to save those who are
being taken away to death, likeduring World War II and other

(26:18):
injustices around the world andwe'll talk about the second part
of that when we don't and tothose who are stumbling to the
slaughter, those who are goingto eternal death.
Those are the unsaved.
That's some of what's going onhere, but it's also other things

(26:40):
.
If you see somebody who'sdrinking and they're about to
get in their car and go killthemselves.
And somebody else, you'recalled to stop them.
If someone's about to try drugsthat they may never wake up
from and go down a dark path, you're called to stop them.
And on and on and on, orderedto stop them, but we don't want

(27:05):
to offend them.
Someone who's getting ready todo things to the unborn we don't
want to offend them.
There they are stumbling andthey are leading someone to
death as well.
Yet we sit at home comfortable.
I'm not doing it.

(27:26):
So therefore it's not that bad.
So what does God say about thoseof us who know and don't do
anything?
So therefore it's not that bad.
So what does God say aboutthose of us who know and don't
do anything?
If you say, behold, we do notknow this, does not he who
weighs the hearts understandMeaning?

(27:46):
God knows your heart.
The day you stand before God,when you get to heaven, he's
going to know everything youever thought, why and why you
did everything.
There is no deception.
He can't see.
And does he who not guards yoursoul know?
The Holy Spirit knows exactly.
That's why Jordan Peterson saidhe's never seen anyone get away

(28:10):
with anything ever Ever.
They may have gotten away withanything ever Ever.
They may have gotten away withit from the law, but their
conscience and their soulcrucify them.
And will he not render to manaccording to his work?
God will judge you for what youdidn't do, what you knew and

(28:33):
didn't do.
Could you have helped and youdidn't?
Could you have saved lives, butyou didn't?
That's something we all need toget more action-oriented on,
and why we are Christ ForgedChurch.

(28:55):
We are here to give you theskills Shooting, fighting,
discipling, growing, survivalskills, whatever you want.
We are here for this.

(29:15):
Now some more wisdom Verse 13.
Eat honey, my son, for it isgood.
Indeed, the honey from the combis sweet to taste, and know
that wisdom is thus for yoursoul.
If you find it, then there willbe a future and your hope will
not be cut off.

(29:36):
Equating honey in the honeycomb, an absolute delight and treat
in the ancient world, today wehave super sweeteners and all
these things, but getting honeyin a honeycomb at the risk of
bees and hornets and otherthings, right Saying it's great,
but wisdom is the honey foryour soul.

(30:01):
And then some more correctionhere in verse 15.
Do not lie in wait, o wickedman, against the abode of the
righteous, do not destroy hisresting place.
And this is the part that everyChristian light person likes to
read, and they read it at everyrecovery center, everywhere and
everywhere else.
For the righteous man fallsseven times and rises again, but

(30:24):
the wicked will stumble incalamity, alright.
So yes, you're going to falland you're going to get up, if
you're righteous, because you'vegot God to help you get up,
always to get up.
My question is why did you fall?
Did you fall helping others?
Because I guarantee you theLord will pick you up from that.

(30:48):
When your enemy falls, do not beglad and when he stumbles, do
not let your heart rejoice.
There are wicked people outthere who find joy in other
people's suffering, and God istelling us right now to not find
joy in that.
That when an earthquake hitsAfghanistan or people that are

(31:10):
traditionally our politicalenemies, there is no place for
us to find joy in that.
God commands us not to, and itwarrants it, lest Yahweh see it
and it be evil in his eyes andhe turn his anger away from him
to maybe you.
But do not threat because ofevildoers.

(31:35):
Do not be jealous of the wicked, for there'll be no future for
the evil one.
The lamp of the wicked will goout when you see people who you
know to be evil, who have goodlives and we talked about this
in the beginning and it'sclosing here again almost not
closing, but it's reiterating itagain Know that the wicked do

(31:59):
not escape judgment.
God will deal with them and youneed to worry about you.
Verse 21,.
My son fear Yahweh and the king.
He's talking about the Davidicking appointed by God.
Do not associate with those whochange, for suddenly their

(32:19):
disaster will rise, and whoknows the upheaval that comes
from both of them.
Verse 23, these are alsosayings of the wise.
Here is some governing and somethings about your house that
apply so much to today.
To show partiality in judgmentis not good.
He who says to the wicked youare righteous, peoples will

(32:43):
curse him and nations will beindignant with him.
But those who reprove thewicked, it will be pleasant and
a good blessing will come uponthem.
Those who reprove the wicked,it will be pleasant and a good
blessing will come upon them.
Is that not what just happenedhere, where Joe Biden pardoned
his family and a bunch oftraitors Calling the wicked

(33:06):
righteous?
Have we not seen justicetotally thwarted?
But to those who approve thewiki, they will be pleasant and
a good blessing will come uponthem.
He kisses the lips who respondsto the right words.

(33:29):
Establish your workouts.
So here's another one.
This has to do with work ethic27.
There's only a few more.
So hang in there, establishyour work outside and make you
ready for yourself in the field, and afterwards you shall build
your house.
So, ancient world.
The house is where you lived, but outside is what provided for

(33:50):
your family and what providedfor the house.
God is saying before you buildthe house, build what's going to
fund the house.
Build what's going to providefor the family that's in the
house.
Do not be a witness againstyour neighbor without cause, nor
deceive with your lips.
Do not say as he did to me, soI shall do to him.

(34:15):
I will render to the manaccording to his work.
God will render according tohis work.
I passed by the field of thesluggard by the lazy person and
the vineyard of the man lackinga heart of wisdom, and behold,
it was completely overgrown withthistles and nestles, that's,

(34:37):
thorns and pricklies that wehave here.
Nettles have covered itssurfaces and its stone wall has
been torn down and I beheld, Iset my heart upon it and I saw
and I received disciplineMeaning.
God is now talking to him inhis heart.
He's saying this and he'sknowing what's caused it A
little sleep, a little slumber,a little folding of the hands to

(35:06):
rest, then your poverty willcome as a robber and your want
like an armed man.
Those are the words of the Lord.
Proverbs are so wise.
You just read these things andyou just man.
If I just listened to that, Iwould have no very little
suffering in my life.
So so we like to do the Lord'sSupper here every week and

(35:37):
unfortunately last week we hadsomebody who really enjoyed my
hard preaching, butunfortunately they're a Catholic
.
And the second I didn't saythat this wafer was Christ's
finger or arm and that I wasdrinking his blood, which is
obviously preposterous.
Nothing magical happens here.
We're committing to the Lord.

(35:59):
You know again, I don't believein Mary worship and many of the
other heresies of the CatholicChurch, and so you know they
watched for all this time andthen ripped us apart as they
walked out the door.
God bless them.
I hope they come back.
I hope we have a lot of thingsthat we can agree on, but we
believe in the Lord's Supper.
So first let's look at 1Corinthians 11, 27 through 32.

(36:20):
This is for legitimate baptizedChristians, if you do that, and
Christians who are repentant oftheir sin.
This is a chance to clean youraccount, to get a full
accountability, to judgeyourself and then go to God.
Verse 20, or 1 Corinthians 11,27 through 32,.
Whoever, therefore, eats of thebread or drinks of the cup of

(36:41):
the Lord in an unworthy mannerwill be guilty concerning the
body and the blood of the Lord.
Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread
and drink of the cup.
For anyone who eats and drinkswithout discerning the body and
eats and drinks judgment onhimself.
That is why many of you areweak and ill and some have died,
but if we judged ourselvestruly, we would not be judged.
But when we are judged by theLord, we are disciplined so that

(37:05):
we may not be condemned alongwith the word.
So now I want you to close youreyes and I want you to think of
today's message and the thingsthat we keyed in on, and see
where you are falling short ofthe Lord.
Where are you not following hiswisdom?

(37:27):
Where are you not dying to self?
Who are you helping?
What death are you stopping?
What stumbling are you stopping?
Are you providing dying to self?
Who are you helping?
What death are you stopping?
What stumbling are you stopping?
Are you providing for yourfamily?
These and all your other sins?
Think about them and repent ofthem, repent of them.
Before you do this, thenremember what he did for you.

(37:52):
Remember the price that waspaid and the wrath that was
poured out upon him.
Yes, the physical, but more thewrath of God was poured out
onto our Lord and Savior to payfor our sin.
And then he rose victoriouslyfrom the grave, defeating death,
to sit at the right hand of theFather.
He rose victoriously from thegrave, defeating death, to sit

(38:13):
at the right hand of the Father.
Now, as they were eating, jesustook bread and, after blessing
it, broke it and gave it to thedisciples and said Take, eat.
This is my body, go ahead andeat.
And when he took a cup and whenhe had given thanks, he gave it
to them, saying Drink of it,all of you, for this is my blood
of the covenant, which ispoured out for many, for the

(38:33):
goodness of sins, and drink, heavenly Father, lord, we thank
you.
We thank you for the wisdom ofyour word.
We thank you for the gift ofour relationships in the body.
Lord, many are so critical ofthe church, not realizing that
we are all the church.
If you are a Christian, you areso critical of the church, not
realizing that we are all thechurch.
If you are a Christian, you arethe church.

(38:55):
Lord, help us to make thechurch better.
Help us to make the church theway you wanted it and not what
society has made it.
Help us to model theappropriate church.
Help us to be lights in theworld.
Help us to be grateful andcourageous.

(39:16):
Help us to step out from ourcomfort and to not sleep and
fold our hands.
Lord, help us to be hungry forwisdom and to strengthen ourself
in all ways.
Lord, I pray a prayer ofprotection for this fellowship

(39:37):
and congregation who arelistening now, watching now or
who may be listening or watchinglater.
I pray that same blessing ofprotection and peace for the
persecuted church, for thevictims of North Carolina,

(39:58):
tennessee and elsewhere Florida,I mean and California.
Pray for the persecuted church, for our troops overseas, our
first responders at home and ourveterans of yesteryear.
I pray that the world would beprotected from going into World
War III.
And lastly, I pray for mybeloved America.
I pray that she would returnfrom her sin, humble herself,

(40:23):
hit her knees, seek your face, and that you would see her and
heal her, and that we would beone once again, one nation under
God, indivisible, with libertyand justice for all.
Lastly, I pray for ourPresident Trump and for our
leaders, that he would use themto do great things in your name
and that you would get all theglory, lord.

(40:45):
So now I call this congregationto attention, to put on the full
armor of God, strap on theshield of faith, pick up the
sword of the Spirit and to jointhe shield wall, locking shields
to the left and right as wemarch forward and take ground
for your kingdom, for your glory.
In Jesus' name, we pray Amen.
Now I'm going to torture youwith some of my singing here.
Praise God, from whom allblessings flow.

(41:10):
Praise him all creatures herebelow.
Praise Him above.
Ye heavenly hosts.
Praise Father, son and HolyGhost.
Amen.
May the Lord bless you and keepyou.

(41:32):
May the Lord make his face toshine upon you and be gracious
to you.
May the Lord lift up hiscountenance upon you and give
you peace.
God bless you.
I love you and I'll see younext week.
