SPEAKER_01 (00:36):
Welcome to your
Daily Battle Bible study, the
Bible study where we fight threebattles Monday through Friday.
One, fight to get a humble andgrateful heart aligned onto the
Lord, checking our griping, ourcomplaining, our entitlements
and our petty parties at thedoor, and we come to him
grateful for all the countlessblessings and protections that
we have, both known and unknown.
(00:58):
We come to him humbly.
Come to him humbly because he isGod and He is holy, holy, holy.
And we are not.
We are definitely not.
So coming to Him humbly is theway God wants us to come to Him,
and the only way we can have agood relationship with God.
Two, we fight our schedules, ourselves, everything else to
(01:22):
deliberately pursue relationshipwith our Lord and Savior by
studying his holy word andthrough prayer.
And we do this by putting himfirst some amount of time for
the day.
Checking our phones and ourdevices and our busy lives and
our endless hobbies and endlessentertainment and obligations,
(01:46):
putting it down to pursue andprioritize Capital H I M, Him.
Three, we fight for one another.
We fight to by locking ourshields of faith together and by
praying for one another, prayingfor corporately for wisdom,
(02:06):
discernment, strength, courage, and protection and peace.
So again, welcome.
This is also an accountabilitygroup, right?
Meaning this group here.
And if you want to join, you cansend me a DM, um, whatever,
whatever platform you're seeingthis in, or comment that you
(02:28):
want in, and I'll send you to aplace where we can get a DM and
we'll invite you to ouraccountability group.
That's where men and women comearound and they post what we do
for the seven battles every dayon there except Sunday.
And that's where we hold eachother accountable, where we
train and um and also havefellowship by investing in one
(02:51):
another.
So welcome if this is your firsttime.
Please like, subscribe, comment,and share.
I want to share this disciplingministry um to reach as many
people as we possibly can.
So let's get our first um ourfirst battle done.
Let's get grateful, dearHeavenly Father.
(03:11):
We thank you.
We thank you for all of ourblessings known and unknown.
We thank you for waking us upagain this morning and for your
protections throughout thenight.
We thank you for giving usanother chance to get it right.
Another chance to do life yourway and not ours.
(03:34):
We thank you so much for yourcommon grace, for your creation,
the sun, the moon, the stars, the universe, this earth and
everything in it, from the topof Mount Everest all the way
down to the deepest trench inthe ocean.
(03:54):
We thank you for it all.
We thank you for all theanimals, all the plants.
Um, even the insects, Lord, weknow.
Except for maybe mosquitoes andtriggers and ticks, but we know
they all serve a purpose, Lord, and we thank you.
(04:14):
Thank you for people, Lord.
Thank you for the people in ourlives.
Help us to be quick to forgive, slow to anger.
Help us to love each other asyou loved us, to love our
(04:35):
neighbor as ourselves.
Lord, help us to be present withone another, to put down the
devices and the multitasking, tolook at one another, and to be
present in every way.
So Lord, we thank you forsunrises and sunsets.
We thank you for the sound ofchildren's laughter, children's
(04:57):
laughter, and sounds of birdsongs in the morning, waves
against the shore.
We thank you for the smell offresh mountain air, coffee
brewing, apple pie in the oven, honeysuckle.
(05:20):
And we thank you for a coolbreeze on a hot day or a warm
fire on a cold day.
Tender touch, a loved one.
We thank you for good food andgood drink.
Didn't have to make it taste sogood, but you did.
We thank you for that.
(05:40):
So Lord, we pray that this timeOh sorry, we also thank you for
your divine grace for loving usbefore we loved you, choosing us
before the foundations of theearth, and writing our name into
the book of life.
Lord, thank you for for lovingus when we hated you.
(06:05):
So Lord, we pray that this timewould glorify you, serve you and
only you, and it would pleaseyou.
We ask that you give us wisdomdiscernment tonight for the text
to pull the meaning the text andthe strength and courage to
block it out.
Psalm 32 tonight.
(06:27):
All these things in the nameabove all names, the king above
all kings, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Alright, so that's battle numberone done.
All right.
So let's get into this now.
SPEAKER_00 (06:44):
Shall we good?
And now logos.
SPEAKER_01 (07:17):
There we go.
So Psalm thirty-two, we'll readit and then we'll go through it.
Okay.
So some things to think abouthere is that Psalm 32 is written
by David, it's labeled as askill, a teaching psalm designed
to impart wisdom and skill forgodly living.
Boy, do we need that.
(07:38):
Setting is most likely afterDavid's repentance from the sin
with Bathsheba, 2nd Samuel 11through 12.
Psalm 32 is David teaching thenation what he learned the hard
way.
Sin tolerated becomes spiritualrot.
Confession restores joy andstability.
(07:59):
Forgiveness is a fortress.
Right alongside Psalm 51.
But while Psalm 51 is Davidcrying out in raw repentance,
Psalm 32 is David teachingothers how to walk in repentance
as a lifestyle, is also one ofthe Apostle Paul's key texts on
(08:23):
justification, as we see inRomans 4, 6 through 8.
The themes we're going to see isthe blessing of forgiveness,
misery of concealed sin, freedomof confession, God's protection
for repentant warriors, andinstruction for righteous
living.
All right, so without furtherado, let's let's read it.
Let's go.
(08:52):
Got a new cune kune um boar pig,and uh they didn't know how to
castrate.
So they're out there doing it.
I just heard the poor fellascreaming for his testicles.
God help him.
Heavenly Father be with thatpoor pig.
Jesus' name we pray, amen.
All right, let's get into theword here.
(09:13):
Blessed are the forgiven.
32, Psalm 32, my skill of David.
Blessed is the one whosetransgression is forgiven, whose
sin is covered, blessed is theman against whom the Lord counts
no iniquity, and in whose spiritthere is no deceit.
For when I kept silent my boneswasted away, through my groaning
(09:37):
all day long.
For day and night your hand wasupon me, my strength was dried
up as by the heat of summer,Saylah.
I acknowledged my sin to you,and I did not cover my iniquity.
I said, I will confess mytransgressions to the Lord, and
(10:00):
you forgave the iniquity of mysin, Sayla.
Therefore, let everyone who isgodly offer prayer to you at a
time when you may be found, surely in the rush of great
waters, they shall not reachhim.
You are a hiding place for me.
You preserve me from trouble, you surround me with shouts of
(10:21):
deliverance, Sayla.
Verse eight, I will instructyou, sorry, I will instruct you
and teach you in the way youshould go.
I will counsel you with my eyeupon you.
Be not like a horse or mulewithout understanding, which
must be curbed with bit andbridle, or it will not stain
(10:46):
near you.
Many are the sorrows of thewicked, but steadfast love
surrounds the one who trusts inthe Lord.
Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,O righteous, and shout for joy,
all you upright in heart.
So let's go back and go throughit in a little more detail.
(11:06):
So verses one and two one andtwo.
Blessed is the forgiven word.
David opens with battlefieldblessing, forgiven, lifted
burden, covered his shield ofguilt, no deceit, honest heart
(11:27):
before God.
These are covenant relationaland judicial terms pointing to
Christ who lifts, covers, anddeclares righteousness.
As warriors, we know a warriorfights clean, hidden rot
destroys strength.
We don't want to come in withany secrets or any rot.
(11:49):
We got to get rid of all of ourwounds.
Battle.
Verses 3 and 4, David describesconcealed sin as owens wasting
away, groaning all day, God'shand heavy upon him, strength
tried like summer draw.
(12:10):
This is not a poeticexaggeration.
It is spiritual physiology.
Sin steals morale, strength, clarity, courage, and readiness.
Swaries, we know secret sin is asniper.
It kills silently from within.
Confession and immediate mercy.
(12:33):
David stops hiding and comesclean.
I acknowledge, I did not cover,I will confess.
The result?
You forgave the iniquity of mysin.
Instant grace.
No cold shoulder, no probationperiod, no spiritual hazing.
Confession is not defeat, it isreloading.
(12:58):
And then six and seven.
Protection for the repentant.
Repentant warriors gain accessto God in prayer, shelter in the
flood, songs of deliverance,surrounding protection.
(13:20):
Repentance brings you back underthe commander's covering.
Sins separate you from thecommander, and repentance brings
you back to him.
8-9.
God teaches the warrior.
God himself speaks.
I will instruct you.
(13:41):
I will teach you the way youshould go.
I will counsel you my eye uponyou.
And the warning (13:47):
don't be like
the horse impulsive or a mule
stubborn.
Discipleship requiresdiscipline.
Trainability is a virtue.
And then verses 10 and 1.
The wicked gets multiplesorrows.
(14:07):
Repentant gets steadfast love, gladness, shouts of joy.
Repentance is the dividing linebetween sorrow and strength.
So some themes we see here.
Repentance is a lifestyle, notan event.
Forgiveness is a fortress forthe believer.
(14:30):
Sin's impact on emotional, spiritual, and physical
strength.
See, it is completelydetrimental to us.
We also see God's personalinstruction to his warriors.
We see joy as a weapon and areward for restored fellowship.
So some applications in ourseven battlefields.
Our daily warrior application:
confess quickly and fully, keep (14:52):
undefined
no spiritual rot.
Family, model honesty, repentance, and restoration at
home.
Your kids, when they see youmess up, must see you repent.
Must see you confess and repent, okay?
Witness, recognize thatconcealed stress weakens the
(15:14):
body.
Confession strengthens the wholeman.
Fundamentals, maintainreadiness.
Spiritual clarity improvestactical decision making.
Finances, avoid deceit,shortcuts, and hidden
mismanagement.
Fellowship, live openly.
Confession builds trust andunity within the body.
(15:36):
Body of Christ.
Fidelity, repentance protectsyour integrity, secrecy destroys
it.
So in summary, Psalm 32 is theWarrior's Manual for Repentance.
Exposes the cost of hidden sinand the joy of forgiveness.
Trains the believer to confess, rise, and re-engage the mission
heart.
(15:56):
Key takeaways are confessionrestores clarity, repentance
restores strength, forgivenessrestores joy, return to the
fight, forgiven and fortified.
That is Psalm 32.
So I apologize for not being onyesterday morning.
Um we had a windstorm here inTennessee, we didn't know about,
(16:21):
and um lost our internet, andour cell service has gone from
booming 5G to like one bar.
So um we couldn't stream, wecouldn't do any.
We're kind of in thetechnological black hole all
weekend until pretty late thisafternoon, actually.
(16:42):
So uh or yesterday after andyesterday after and um so yeah,
so again, please uh forgive us,you know, technology is what
technology is.
Um and you know, had we had agood signal.
I might have tried it with acell hotspot, but with uh cell
(17:07):
phones lately, it's been or withthe cell service around here,
it's been pretty sketchy, and Idon't know why.
But that's it.
I really encourage you guys tojoin our accountability group.
If you want to join our uh joinour accountability group, text
me.
Um the DMs, comment, and I'llrespond.
(17:28):
Or if you're in X, Facebook, um,Rumble, just message me.
Um, and we'll get you an inviteand get you into the group, and
you can start growing in theLord deliberately.
A key part about sevenbattlefields is you can't just
(17:49):
live your life normally thatday, and then at the end of the
day, be like, How manybattlefields that I did?
You can do that.
That's not the point.
This is about deliberate pursuitof the seven battlefields, it's
about starting your day with aplan.
What you're gonna do in each ofthe seven battlefields, and then
executing that plan, maintainingflexibility to do whatever God
(18:13):
puts on your plate, or he mightset an appointment with you
instead of your plannedfellowship.
But um, that is the only waythat I've been able to do this.
And if you just kind of arelying in your bed at the end of
the night being like, how manythings that I kind of
accidentally do?
Well, you're not gonna do verywell, and you're gonna wash out.
(18:39):
So again, start your daydeliberately pursuing the Lord,
deliberately pursuing yourfamily, um, deliberately
pursuing your fitness,deliberately pursuing your
fundamentals, deliberately justpursuing your finances,
deliberately pursuing yourfellowship, deliberately
pursuing your fidelity.
(18:59):
We'll have the keys to success.
So God bless you.
Let's pray it out and take ithome, find our third battle.
Dear Heavenly Father, Lord, thank you for this text.
Thank you for your holy word, your scripture.
Give us the wisdom anddiscernment to pull Psalm 32 and
give us the strength and courageto walk it out in our lives.
(19:20):
We pray for your protection, peace for this congregation,
births be the church, our troopsoverseas, our first responders
at home and our veterans ofyesteryear.
We pray for our beloved America, that she would turn from her
sin, hit her knees, repent andseek your face, that you would
see her, heal her, so that wecan once again be one nation
(19:44):
under God, indivisible withliberty and justice for all.
So now I call for this fellowfellowship to put on the full
armor of God, strap on theshield of the faith, to pick up
the sword of the spirit, andboldly step forward to join the
shield wall, blocking ourshields of faith left and to the
right, as we march forward, takeground your kingdom, your glory
(20:07):
forever.
In Jesus' name we pray.
Come in.
All right, everyone.
God bless you.
See you tomorrow.
Actually, yeah, I'll see youtonight for uh Warrior Church.
God bless you.
Bye.
