Need Prayer? Send us a text on how we can pray for you!

The warrior ethos runs deep through scripture, yet many modern Christians have forgotten this fundamental aspect of faith. God describes Himself as "a man of war" in Exodus 15:3, trains our hands for battle according to Psalm 144:1, and demonstrated the ultimate warrior's sacrifice through Christ laying down His life.

Unfortunately, our generation has become perhaps the most comfortable, distracted and entertained in history. We've created a Christianity that appeals primarily to women while alienating masculine energy. Churches often lack alpha males—men with callused hands who understand discipleship and spiritual warfare. This isn't accidental but reflects a larger cultural shift away from biblical masculinity.

True Christian men must reclaim their warrior identity. This doesn't mean toxic aggression but rather embracing God's design: the strength, protective instincts, and leadership abilities He instilled in men. Biblical examples like Caleb, who boldly declared Israel could conquer the Promised Land when others cowered, show us what faithful masculine courage looks like. Even Jesus, though gentle with the broken, was no pushover—He confronted evil directly and will return as the ultimate warrior.

Women play an equally crucial role as "shield maidens"—strong partners who defend the family when men falter. Don't bubble-wrap your spouse or children; prepare them to stand strong against adversity. Nothing grows stronger in comfort—only through life's challenges do we develop spiritual muscle. Whether through farming, physical training, or intentional hardship, warriors seek growth through difficulty rather than ease.

Want to become a spiritual warrior? Start by being the light in every room, setting the tone rather than absorbing negativity. Use doorways as reset opportunities when you've failed. Fight for those nearest to you—your family, friends and neighbors—before distant mission fields. Above all, recognize that the Christian life isn't meant to be comfortable but challenging. Are you ready to exchange your spiritual couch potato status for the warrior's path Christ modeled?

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Thanks for putting me after that.
I really appreciate that.
That was the hookup yeah, hookup of the day right there.
So I'm definitely going to bethe worst speaker today after
that.
So I found it interesting inthe first talk that I saw this

(00:24):
morning that 4% biblicalworldview.
How many people live a biblicalworldview?
It's way less than that.
4% Right.
And then again, this past theprevious speaker, I'm not going
to be focusing on things big andwide, I'm going to be focusing

(00:47):
on what you need to do at home.
That is the foundation foreverything.
I am one of those guys where Iwas at my best when I had an
enemy and an objective andsomething to work at every day.
That is when I became elite.

(01:10):
If I was just left to myself, Idegenerated to garbage Always.
There is nothing harder thanthis Christian walk and if you
just wander that by accident, pursuing it at random, you're

(01:30):
going to suck at it.
So today, you know everybodylikes to call that because
warriors are what the most nobleprofession in my opinion.
I don't think that's just myopinion, I think it's also God's
.
We should all aspire to bewarriors.

(01:53):
Okay, and I'm gonna make thatcase now.
I've already burned two minutes, holy smokes.
20, 20 minutes.
This is gonna the fast.
If I start going Boston on youand speaking really fast, okay,
it's Ken's fault, all right.
Well, I'm going to need someoneover here signing and someone

(02:15):
over here translating my Klingonas I battle my Boston accent
when I start going fast.
All right, okay, so here we go.
Who does God say?
He is?
Exodus 15.3.
The Lord is a man of war.

(02:46):
The Lord is his name.
What does God do with us?
Blessed be the Lord, my rock.
Who drains my hands for war andmy fingers for battle?
God loves warriors.
That's his identity.
We all want to focus on thelove, but what is the greatest
love?
To lay down one's life forone's friends, and Christ did it

(03:09):
for those who even hated him.
Who also does that?
The warrior, your lawenforcement, your first
responders?
Okay, the warrior is thebackbone of our society and
unfortunately, we are the mostpathetic, weak, ill-prepared,

(03:31):
comfortable, distracted andentertained generation ever.
We watch people on TV do greatthings while we do nothing.
Come on, come on, watch peopleon TV do great things while we
do nothing.
Where your eyes are, I can tellyou where your idol is Right.

(03:55):
Whatever you spend more time inthan the Bible is your.
Now I'm going to make enemieshere.
I'm sorry, not really.
If you know more about anythingthan, say, your job than the

(04:16):
Bible, you are wrong.
So how many sports players doyou know?
Yeah, how much time have yousat watching masculine men do
masculine things while you doeffeminate things sitting on a
couch?
That's not what warriors dowarriors do.

(04:50):
Some examples of warriors in theBible and this is going to be a
short list because I'm alreadyat 15 minutes Caleb numbers 1330
.
Caleb quieted the people beforeMoses and said let us go up at
once and occupy it, for we areable to overcome it.

(05:11):
When all the other spies thatthey sent out were like they're
giants, we're grasshoppers.
No way, peace out.
One dude said let's do it, wegot this, no problem.
Faith David, a man after God'sown heart, right, a shepherd

(05:33):
turned warrior.
Jesus, our chief warrior, andyou're like what?
He disarmed the rulers andauthorities and put them to open
shame by triumphing over themand him.
Colossians 2.15.
Jesus was true meekness, power,controlled.

(05:54):
His mission was different thattime than the next time when he
comes.
His mission was to be a willingsacrifice.
Next time, what is he comingback as Exactly?
Unfortunately, there is a heresyof pacifism that has invaded

(06:17):
the church.
That great you know.
John Calvin and Martin Lutherreally tried to shirk off that
and put a coffin in the pacifismdoctrine, and they did a great
job, because it's not everywhereanymore, but it's still here.
The church has been attacked bydesign to destroy and

(06:41):
disinterest men by making itmore appealing to women.
All right, if you look at itacross the board churches, but
not this church, I'm sure, butmost churches are packed with
women and devoid of alpha males.

(07:06):
When I got saved, okay, and hereI am.
I'm born again, I'm on fire, Iwant to serve God.
I went church shopping.
It took me six years to find amasculine pastor that I would
submit to, alright.

(07:26):
Six years to find a dude withcalluses on his hands who
understood what it was to be aman.
And how did I know he was a man?
Because he was the mosteffective discipler I'd ever
seen in my life.
Not only did he disciple hisfamily flawlessly, he discipled
everyone who washed up on hisdoorstep flawlessly Drug addicts

(07:49):
turned pastors, alcoholicsturned pastors, complete train
wrecks, Prostitutes turnedworship leaders.
He was that real, that good, not even a veteran, not a law

(08:15):
enforcement officer, alumberjack by trade.
There's a reason we have lost,up until recently, the youth and
young men and alpha men.
Because you walk into a churchand what do you see?
I saw I didn't get truly saved.
I got intellectually saved by abook called I Don't have Enough

(08:38):
Faith to Be an Atheist.
Okay, that just created.
It showed me the case ofcreationism and I was like, oh
my God, I can't believe.
I was so stupid to believe inrandom chaos, but I didn't have
a relationship with Christ untilI was shown the masculine Jesus
, not the effeminate pretty guyout there, but the bricklayer
and the carpenter and thewarrior and seeing him

(09:01):
throughout the Old Testament.
God blessed you withtestosterone.
God blessed you with strongerbones.
God blessed you with aggression.
God blessed you to be a warriorwhen man and wife.

(09:22):
In the ancient times the manhad to go out and kill to feed
his family.
Okay, we have lost that becauseyou got Grubhub to your house.
Grubhub delivers an Instacart.
You don't even have to leaveyour couch watching Gonzaga and

(09:44):
Instacart, you don't even haveto leave your couch watching
Gonzaga.
Sorry, sorry, sorry, I'm justkidding.
I'm just kidding.
I am so thankful Ken is theonly pastor that'll talk to me.
I've burned all my otherbridges.
It's because he can take a joke.
It's because he can take a joke, but it doesn't stop there.

(10:08):
The most celebrated person, inmy opinion, in the New Testament
, other than Jesus himself, isthe one person in the whole
Bible who God marveled.
At.
Who was that?
The centurion?
A blood-soaked pagan centurion.
A blood-soaked pagan centurion.
God marveled at him.

(10:30):
Can you imagine that?
No-transcript.

(11:11):
That's who we need to be sogood.
Wow, we must be warriors.
Now I'm done talking to you, men, for a moment.
I want to talk to my shieldmaidens out there.
Men, we have been too willingto bubble wrap our families and

(11:37):
shelter them from everything.
You need a strong shield maidento watch your back.
You need a strong shield maidento watch your back.
When I hit the deck, my wifeLauren is there with her shield
of faith and her strong back andher sword of the Spirit to
cover me.

(11:57):
There are gonna be times in yourlife where you are incapable of
leading.
I just came off almost fouryears of it Back knee
replacement surgery.
How can I?
There's only one way to leadlead from the front.
How can I do that when I'm aborderline cripple?
My wife had to absorb all ofthat.

(12:18):
When I'm in bed there, who'sgoing to defend the farm, the
homestead?
My wife, if I haven't taughther how to do that?
Oops why?
Because I want to be a delicateflower.
No, I want a shield maiden.

(12:42):
Priestess, part mom, part farmer, part warrior.
That is my dream woman.
That's what we need.
Yes, you are made different.
No, you'll never be as strongas us, but you don't have to be.

(13:06):
You just got to give us coverwhen we fall, and we all fall.
So again, don't bubble wrap yourchildren in life.
You don't put them in the sewer, you don't sit there and let

(13:33):
them swim amongst the sin, butyou better prepare them for when
they do have to swim in thesewer and get, and when they do
confront evil for the first time.
Good luck if you think you'regonna get over on my wife.
Good luck to you if you thinkJason's out of town.
It's an easy day.
It's not going to happen.

(13:56):
I've never seen anyone with ahigher pain tolerance than her.
Not a Navy seal, not a GreenBeret, not nothing.
It's embarrassing, right.
So, my wife, you know naturaltribe doesn't make a sound.
So now, anytime I'm in pain, Ican't make a sound, I can't, so

(14:21):
I'm like man.
Talk about elevating.
So now that is, who's helpingme raise my standards?
If you're a delicate flowerthat's over there on the side,

(14:42):
what standards are you elevating?
My wife will outwork me in asecond if I let her Men back to
you.
You're the one who should fallin bed most exhausted every
night.
It's your duty to die to self.
The most tired person in thehouse is not the woman, it is.
If you're doing it right, itshould be the husband.

(15:03):
Amen, come on, come on, allright.
Four minutes and 54 seconds, holy smokes.
I just preached a sermonyesterday that was the best for
the July, most positive for theJuly sermon I've ever done.
Normally I have to remindpeople it's a Christian nation,

(15:25):
right, right, that we wereactually a Christian nation, and
you know, and drive that pointhome.
And for the past, what fouryears it's been really dark.
Tennessee is proof of whathappens when godly people come
together, come together.

(15:49):
There are other places, likeFlorida and others, where they
are changing everything,becoming more godly.
And then there are the peoplethat I talk to who live in
Massachusetts, who hate to leavetheir house in New York, in
California, in Washington, inOregon.

(16:12):
So, yes, we are getting lighterhere and brighter here, but
there are places where that evilis fleeing too that we will
have to contend with.
In my opinion, we need to stopsending people overseas and send
them on missionary trips toBoston, new York, california

(16:39):
those are now new countries.
Three minutes, all right, holysmokes.
I got to totally rearrange thisman, all right.
So if you want to see a manualon how to fight Three minutes,
alright, holy smokes.
I got to totally rearrange thisman Alright.
So if you want to see a manualon how to fight war amongst your
enemies, go to Nehemiah 4.
It tells you everything youneed right there, and if I had
time I'd read it, but it's Ken'sfault.

(17:05):
So we are shepherds.
We lay down our life for thesheep.
That is our job.
And when we're not there, whosejob is it?
Shield maidens?
Don't let him treat you as aflower.
Yes, you are his beautifulqueen.

(17:25):
Yes, he will die for you ahundred times.
But don't let that make youcomfortable.
Nothing grows stronger andcomfort everything gets weaker
and comfort.
Only in the fires of adversitydo you get stronger.
And if the world isn'tchallenging you, you need to

(17:46):
challenge yourself.
You need to set that adversity, you need to stretch, you need
to grow, you need to do hardthings every day.
That's why we have a farm.
All right, I have a farmbecause it sucks and it's hard.
There are great times, but letme tell you something more times

(18:08):
than not it sucks, but Ihaven't bought Stormy in I don't
know how many years.
I know everything that goes inmy kids' mouths that hasn't been
vaccinated and all this othergarbage.
In one minute and 41 seconds.
Hold on All right.

(18:29):
Here is some actions for youguys to do.
Be the light in the room, okay, whereas men and as leaders and
as women, as shield, means youset the tone of the room.
You can either be a shadow inthat room or you can darken that
room.
Use every doorway as a reset.
I can't tell you how many timeswhere I go and I walk out of

(18:49):
the room and I'm like holysmokes.
I was oppressive, my, my innerwarfare spilled out on everyone
and I leave.
I come back and I brighten thatroom, reset at the doorway.
Women, you can do this whenyou're, when your husband's
losing, when he's got demons allover him, when all that's going
, you can come into that roomand see him, love him, and he

(19:13):
will snap to.
One smile from you makes hisheart go crazy.
Just see him.
Men, appreciate her.

(19:41):
Fight for your family, fight foryour friends, fight for your
neighbors.
We're so good at going overthere to disciple when we don't
even know who lives across thestreet from us.
Why?
Because it's easy to go.
Be somebody over there.
You're showing up with food andwater.
Your neighbor knows you yell atyour dog.
Okay, your neighbor knowseverything bad about you, that

(20:05):
whole little thing that you walkin the church as, yeah, your
neighbor should come give youthe opposite of your testimony.
And that's why God says loveyour neighbor.
That is where freedoms collide.
That's where my freedom toshoot and have a great time
collides with your peace andquiet.

(20:25):
So I had a lot more I was goingto say, but I'm going to cut it
free there.
I'm 27 seconds over, but so iseveryone else.
