Speaker 1 (00:00):
God has some plans for us.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
God has a plan for us. There's a place that
God wants.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
For all of us.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
And sometimes we become so focused on this world and
the cares of this world, and the trappings of this
world and everything that we're engaged in, that we lose
sight of that. But God doesn't. God knows that there's
a journey that we're on. There's a place that all of.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Us will end up. God has something more for us.
(00:47):
We are coming.
Speaker 3 (00:49):

life changing Bible study and on Sunday mornings at ten

let's feast at the Lord's table. Here's today's message already
in progress.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
Said Amen, Praise God. From from all blessings flow.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Welcome to another Sunday worship service here at Christ Church
for the end times, those that are here and those
that are tuning.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
In all around the world.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
As I was preparing to come to the service, the
Lord gave me something else.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
And so this is for us one of the things.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
He said that the people we need this, and so
I want to share with you what he shared with me.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
But before where I do I know there there are.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
People that have tuning in and and so forth, and
and for many we know that Pastor Angela went to
be with the Lord, and uh, obviously it's a surprise,
unexpected for all of us. And so uh I do
want to say, I think all of those that have
uh some.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Phone calls and phone calls.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Expressing your condolences and so forth, and and trying and
consoling me, and then me consoling them, we consulting one another,
and so so uh it's as a good blessing. I
want to say, thanks to all of you, all all
of the food and uh desire to give food and
(02:50):
desire to.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Give more food. Uh, it's just a great blessing.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Pass Angela has been one of those individuals and one
of the things we tried to do literally since we've
been married. Was to pour out as opposed to trying
to pull in. I've felt a long time ago favor.
If you look for favor, you sincerely give out and
(03:17):
don't look for anything in return. But again that's a
little aside, but that's the way Pastor Angela live a life.
Anyone that knew her knew that she's always giving, always
trying to help and what have you. Our whole family
is is that way, which is a great blessing, and
that's the way of the righteous.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
And so so.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
It's how we're to put it. It's I'm very rarely
lost for words. Well I take that back. There are a
lot of times I've lost for words. But when you
look at Pastor Angela and I'm going to move on
from this, but I wanted to tell that one that
how much I am We this family at christ Church
(04:04):
for then time to appreciate everything. But pass angel was
that person that constantly poured out and gave, gave and
gave to everyone, and also tried to live to be
an example of the Lord.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
There's one thing that we all can.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Attest to is that she consistently live her life for
the Lord, even to the end. That was the case,
and so with that we have a hope, we know
and have full assurance where she is now. I was
telling someone, I said, I guarantee you can get her
(04:44):
to come back here.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Amen.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
The Bible says I have not seen nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the hearts of men the things
that God has prepared for those that love him. And
she loved him, and that is something that I'm.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Totally certain of.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
So, as I was sharing earlier, actually finished off a
message that I was going to share, and while I
was getting ready, the Lord spoke to me and birthed
in my heart this message, and it's titled Continuing the Journey,
Continuing the Journey, and he also gave me one of
(05:30):
Pastor Angela's favorite scripture.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
I know Jeremiah was twenty nine eleven.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Is her go to, but before Jeremiah twenty one eleven,
it was one in Joshua one sis. The Lord shared
it earlier today, and that's the main scripture that we
were going to be sharing with you and with all
of us this morning, Joshua chapter one, and I'm going
(05:56):
to share with you Versus one through eleven. Now, if
you've read anything about the children of Visual leaving Egypt
and moving into the Promised Land. You would have come
across the story. They went through a lot of stuff
while they was in the willderness, and they were about
to come up to the Promised Land. And because of
(06:18):
the fear, stubbornness, rebellion of the people, they had to
divert and for forty years they went around in the wilderness.
They came upon the place when they were complaining again
about water, and.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
God had Moses whatever to.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Come up and instructed Moses on what to do to
give people water. And Moses, I think I kind of
know how Moses might have felt.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Sometimes you can go through things and go through.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Things, and you hold things and hold things in and
all of a sudden it gets up there. And sometimes
you don't even realize you're reaching your bailing point. And
all of a sudden, Moses reached this bailing point and.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
God told him.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Basically, God wanted Moses to glorify him before the people.
And one of the things we can understand and we
need to understand as people of God, we live our
lives not for ourselves. We live our lives and honor
and glory to the Lord. When it's all said and done.
(07:38):
He's the reason. He's the reason that we are here.
He's the reason that we are who and what we are.
It is the blessings of the Lord that we live by.
But Moses at the time got so fed up that
(07:59):
instead of speaking to the rock and tapping the rock
as he was instructed to do, in his frustration, he
wounded the rock.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Somebody said he hit Jesus. That's a litt little side.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
And the water began to cush out like never before. Now,
to give a little perspective here, there's by some estimates,
over a million people that was asking for water. How
in the world and the wilderness, you can satisfy the
thirst of a million people, over a million people at
(08:45):
one time.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
God can do it. And God did it. And that
water began to run out of whatever.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
People forgot all about Moses, and they began to get
some water.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
But God did not forget.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
God told Moses, because you did not honor me before
the people, you will not go into the Promised land.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
And Moses.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Finished off his mission for the Lord, tidy things up
and what have you, and he went up to the
mount to be with the Lord. Now for thirty days
they mourned the death of Moses, and now after thirty days,
it's time for them to continue their journey.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
You see, they're on the path.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
They were on the path from the time they went
into Egypt until this present time.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
That was on the journey.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
And for all of us, we have to understand that
literally before you got here, if you haven't tuned into
our Bible, Stadi is on Wednesday night.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
We are sharing some things and a part of this is.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Is from before the foundation of the world, God has
some plans for us. We got to understand that God
has a plan for us.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
There's a place that God wants for all of us.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
And sometimes we become so focused on this world and
the cares of this world and the trappings of this
world and everything that we're engaged in, that we lose
sight of that. But God doesn't. God knows that there's
a journey that we're on. There's a place that all
of us will end up, and it's not here.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
It is not this life. God has something more for us.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
God has, as I was saying before, God has something
that our eyes have not seen, nor have our ears
heard of, neither have it entered into our hearts.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
But God has a plan, and so now Moses, the
servant of the Lord, is dead. Journey has to continue.
Those that are here, those that remain has to continue.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
There are a lot of people that died between the
time they left Egypt and the time they got up
to the Jordan, some of their own doing on what
have you, because of their distrust and so forth.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Of the Lord.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
And now the one that led them through thickened thin,
that provided them water, that provided them food, that encouraged them,
that strengthened them, that judged them, and now that individuals
that they have crafted their lives around is no longer there.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
And I can imagine the people, what are we going
to do now?
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Where we're going to go? There are all of those
questions in our hearts and our minds. Depending on your
relationship with pastor Angela, you may have some of the
same questions.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Where do I go from now? From here? What do
I do now?
Speaker 2 (12:11):
I jokingly tell my younger ones, and everybody obviously is
trying to say, well, how has passed been? And I
really do love you and I'm really okay. I'm okay
because I know she's okay, but being okay doesn't mean
that you are not keenly aware of the loss lost
(12:34):
to you. In one instance, because you longer have someone
you can chat to. I was talking with someone. It
was about a neighbor, and I went back home and
I said, and I was thinking in my mind that
I'm going to share this with Angela, until I realized
(12:57):
that Angela is no longer there. Little things like that
make you kind of think of how a person was
so interwoven with your life. And many of us, I know,
in our own way, have some of the same things,
whether it's the first Monday prayer or being able to
(13:22):
call on the phone and so forth.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
But now we know that she's going.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
On, But our journey continues, and so now Moses is
going on. And now guess what all of those questions
that everyone is asking in their hearts, sometimes they're sharing
with one another, with others. But then God comes on
(13:51):
the scene, and God speaks to Joshua, and we're gonna
pick this up. In verse verse one of chapter one
of the Book of Joshua. Verse one says, now after
the death of Moses, the servant of the Lord and
the Andrew was the servant of the Lord. Amen it
(14:17):
came to pass that the Lord spaken to Joshua, the
son of None, Moses minister, saying.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
Moses, my servant is dead.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Now, this to me is interesting because God is acknowledging
Moses at as his servant and as a luluicide. Let
me say this, a lot of times we wonder and
we struggle through life how we live our life and
whether or not our lives are pleasing to God. And
to be honest with us, all of us at some
(14:50):
point would do something in our lives that God doesn't like.
And when we do those things, many times there's a
price to pay for those things. Moses did something and
there was a price to pay for it. Moses penalty,
if I can say it that way, was not to
(15:12):
enter into the land of promise, that land that flowed
with milk and honey. But I stand to tell you
he may not have experienced that, but there was something
far greater that he did experience.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
But again, a.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Lulu's side, and just a little tad hair above might
be on my skis. I'm going to get back to
that one. But God is telling Joshua that Moses is
his servant in spite of smoking the rock instead of
speaking to the rock or.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
What have you. Guess what, He's still God's servant.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
A lot of times we do certain things in our lives,
and we're struggling in certain areas of our lives.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
But guess but depending on the condition of your heart,
still his servant. God is still there. He will not.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Utterly cast us off, but a lutta side. So he
tells Joshua that most of his servant is dead. And
I submit to you that's dead from our perspective, not
God's perspective, because we look at death as a separation
and it is we look at death as finality. I
(16:33):
and this is one of the things we are sharing
a little bit in Bible study. Not because of this,
we have been sharing this anyway, but there is something
about death, life and living that we are detached from
because of our our religious belief, because of our long
(16:55):
life experience, not only ours but for generations.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
We've seen things in a certain way.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
But as believers, we got to understand that it's more
to it than that. This is why we commit our
lives to the Lord.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
The way that we do this is why we.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Give him our time, our money, our gifts, our talents,
and our very lives, because we know, because we have faith.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
In Him, that is more to it than that.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
It's more to God in our relationship with God, and
indeed ourselves, than what we're experiencing in this life. Verse
two says Moses, my servant is dead. Now therefore arise,
continue the journey. Go over this Jordan, thou and all
(17:51):
this people unto the land which I give to them,
even the children of Israel.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
See for Israel, this is a time of transition.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
And for us, whether you're a part of Christ Church
for the end times, or whether you are a part
of our outreaches all around the world, it is a
time of transition. You see, God does nothing by chance.
God knows what he's doing, even though we may not
(18:27):
know what he's doing. Contrary to popular belief, God isn't
going to tell you everything just because you want to
know it.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Lord, Why, Lord, why? Yeah? Why?
Speaker 2 (18:41):
If he wants you to know, he'll tell you. And
when the time comes for you to know, he'll tell you.
Verse three says every place, now, this is what God
is telling Joshua and the children of Israel every place,
is that the soul of your feet shall trod upon
(19:04):
that have I given unto you as I said unto Moses.
God is saying, just because Moses is off the saying
doesn't mean I change my mind. And I'm gonna say
this to all of us. There is a place that
God is leading us. There is a place that God
is bringing us, and that has not changed. It's just
(19:26):
a time of transition for us because we have to
continue this journey. There's something that God is going to
do in our lives and in the earth that would
not take place if we don't continue this journey.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
Therefore, it falls.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
To us, regardless who is here, regardless to who isn't,
it's behooves all of us.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
To continue the journey. We will never see.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
What God wants to unfold in our lives unless we
do what continue the journey. All of us, in our
own way, have our own personal private journeys that place
that God wants you to be, and there's a place
that God wants us to be collectively, and so each
(20:14):
of us must.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Do our part so that the entire task.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Will be accomplished. And therefore we must continue the journey.
It doesn't matter who come, who goes, and what have you.
Our focus has to be on the ultimate objective, we
continue the journey. Verse four says, from the wilderness and
(20:41):
this Lebanon, even unto the great River, the river euphrates
all the lands of the hit Ties, and unto the
great Sea, toward the going down of the sun, from
shall be your coast. God has something in store for
all of us. If we don't continue this journey, if
(21:06):
we don't continue to move into in the direction that
He hath ploted, the course that He has ploted for us,
we won't realize it. Verse five says, there shall not
any man be able to stand before Thee all the
days of thy life as I was with Moses.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
So I will be with Thee in that.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Awesome You want the Lord to be with you like
he was with pastor Angela. The thing is that if
you want the Lord to be with you like he
was with past the Angela, you got to live the
life that past the Angela lived. See, some of us
we want stuff, but we don't want to pay the
price for it. And so as we continue on this journey,
(21:57):
as we go through this life, God wants to give
us an assurance that we're going to accomplish the things
if we remain obedient to him. We're going to accomplish
the things that He has ordained and put before us
to accomplish. And he's going to be with us in
the same way that he would be with Angela or
(22:21):
pastor Bennett or whomever it is. God is no respect
of a person. But you can't live your life some
in any kind of way and expect the rewards.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
Now you've got to commit.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
All of us need to recommit our lives to the Lord.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
We were about going back to the Bible stead.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
We were talking about stirring up the gift that God
is placed within us. A lot of times we want
God to store up, and he's telling us to stir
it up. Can you imagine that God tell us to
store it up and then we come and tell him to.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
Store us up.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Now, there's a responsibility that each of us play in
this thing.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Go on.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
So again in verse five says there shall not any
man be able to stand before Thee all of the
days of thy life as ours with Moses. So will
I be with THEE. I will not fail THEE, nor
for sakeet THEE.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
The Lord will.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
Be with us along this journey. He is our assurance
of victory. He has given us a promise. He will
not fail us. He shall not fail us. Our task
and our job, our responsibility, is just to stay with him.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Verse six says this, now, this is our part.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
God is telling you that he's gonna be with you.
You're gonna go on this journey. He's gonna be with you.
He's not gonna fail you. But then there's something that
you gotta do. There's something that each of us must do.
Verse six says, be strong and.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Of good courage. Be strong, be of good courage, for.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
Until this people shallt thou divide for an inheritance to
land which I swore unto their fathers to give them. See,
sooner or later, someone is gonna have to move into
this thing. God have many precious promises for us as people.
Someone that's alive and remaining is gonna move into this thing.
(24:33):
It's gonna be a battle to move into this because
guess what, the devil. They ain't gonna just drop his
hand and say, okay, y'all here now here it is.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
That's not the devil.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
The devil will fight you until there's nothing else for
him to use.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
To fight you.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
There's a reason why God says, fight the good fight
of faith and lay hold on eternal life. If you
think this is a flower bed of ease for you,
to just cruise on into heaven and before you go
through anything, God is gonna rapture you away and you
won't have to do nothing but praise the Lord everybody.
(25:13):
If that's the way it comes out and shakes out here,
am I put me at the front of the bus,
But the Bible tells me to be also ready because
you don't know when the Son of Man will appear.
So if Israel didn't have to fight into battles, if
they didn't have to go through a wilderness place, if
(25:35):
they didn't have to go through lack and hunger and
all that other kind of stuff, they would have been
in the Promised Land forty years earlier. You see, the
way we deal with the challenges of life, the way
that we deal with the circumstances of life matters. We
have to be strong, we have to be of good courage.
(26:00):
And if we're gonna be strong, if we're gonna be
of good courage, we gotta know in whom we believe.
We gotta know that he's the God, not only of Abraham,
not only of Isaac and Jacob.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
He is our God.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
He's our Lord, and he's our God, and it's in
him that we trust. Therefore we endure hardness as a
good soldier of Jesus Christ.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
Like Job.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Job says, though he slaved me, though he slay me,
Yet will I trust him? Blessed be the name of
the Lord. Do you say, Blessed be the name of
the Lord, He say, Lord, I still love you in
spite of it all, In spite of whether I get
my way, whether I don't, in spite.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
Of whether you answer to my prayers the way.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
I want you to answer them or not, I still
trust you.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
I still love you. I still have faith in you,
because you know what's best.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
So I'm gonna be strong. I'm gonna have good courage,
and we're gonna move into the inheritance that you have
ordain for me from the fact foundation of this world.
So be strong and of good courage. Foreign to this people,
shall thou divide for an inheritance to land which I
sworn to their fathers to give them.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Verse seven says only be thou strong.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
And very courageous that thou may has observed, and to
do all the law.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
Which Moses my servant commands.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
See now this verse, verse seven is the verse we
have a tendency to pass over. But it is key
to our focus in the Lord. He says, only be
thou strong and very courageous.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Now distant.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
He's also telling us the reason why we are to
be strong and we are to be very courageous. It
is not so that you can fight your enemy. It
is not that so you can endure hardness as a
good soldier. It is not that you can run through
so that you can run through troops. It is not
so that you can put the enemy under your feet.
We are to be strong, We are to be of
(28:01):
good courage. Look at this that thou mans observe to
do according to all the law. We are to be strong.
We are to be of good courage so that we
can obey his word. The thing that we fail to
see as people of God is that the goal of
(28:23):
the enemy, believe.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
It or not, isn't.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
To just destroy you in your life by sending you
through this and sending you to that and whatever. The
goal of the enemy is to do the same thing
that he tried to get Joe to do. Curse God
and die. He wants you to reject his word. He
wants you to lose faith in his word. He wants
you to disbelieve God. If you disbelieve God, you are
(28:47):
walk in obedience to the Lord, and therefore, as opposed
to move into His blessing, you will end up experiencing destruction.
So the enemy don't have to worry about you going
into the bauty. He knows he's gonna lose those anyway.
You a faithful to God.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
