Speaker 1 (00:00):
I know you are going through some things that are
going to challenge you, but you have to gird up
the loins of your mind. You have to not become discouraged.
And I hear saints talking about, well, you know, I've
been struggling with depression. You've been struggling in your relationship
with the Lord too, because those two don't exist. You're
not going to walk in the spirit of God and

(00:22):
then walk in just adverse depression at the same time.
You're on an attack of the enemy. We are going,

(00:48):
we are.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
It's time for Sunday Supper and time to feast on
God's word. Sunday Supper is a ministry of christ Church
for the End Times. Christ Church for the End Times
is a non denominational teacher church ministry. Our mission is
to help prepare God's people for life and ministry during
the times in which we live. Join us on Wednesdays
at six thirty pm for a dynamic, practical, engaging, and

(01:12):
life changing Bible study and on Sunday mornings at ten
thirty am for a weekly church service. But for now,
let's feast at the Lord's table. Here's today's message already
in progress.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
And Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, pass
through the host and command the people, saying, prepare you visuals,
for within three days you shall pass over this Jordan
to go into the Promise Land which the Lord your
God has given you to possess it. The Lord wants
me to tell you and all of us to prepare

(01:53):
for this journey. You've got to undergird our hearts and
our minds, the loins of our minds, and what have you,
our hearts and our minds to him to do his will,
get ourselves in position for this journey. And that's where
I am. That's what I'm committed to doing. I as
I was sharing earlier, and and please don't get me

(02:17):
wrong here and and I and I will try to
just kind of be measured when I when I say this,
but I felt impressed to include this as I was
sharing with us earlier that you know, Pastor Angela's passing
was a surprise to all of us. We were playing,

(02:38):
planning on our next move and so forth. But then
I got a call and says mister Bennett, there has
been a change of status. Now as a subtopic in
this portion of the message, right, I've titled the Change
of Status. God is not the God of the Dead.
I could tell by the way that the nurse was

(02:59):
talking that there was a big change in status. So
it was like early early in the morning, and I
went right to the hospital to see what has gone
wrong since I left there just a few hours earlier.
And all of a sudden, now you get a call
that says change of status. And when I got there,

(03:19):
that change of status. What she's gone on to be
with the Lord. Yeah, that is a change of status,
a big change of status for all of our lives
and for hers, for her, really really positive. I think
she got the better end of that deal when you
look at the change to bring her where she is now.

(03:41):
Like I said earlier, I guarantee you you can't pay
her to come back. And so change of status, there
is a change of status. Angela may not be with us,
but she is with the Lord. Now that's a status
change that every believer looked forward to experiencing. Bes angel

(04:02):
live her life for that change of status. The question
for us is do we live our lives for that
change of status? Some of us have step when you
be ready for that status change, or how will the
status change be in your life for to be for
the better or not. We need to grow in our
love relationship. And the way that you grow in your
love relationship is through being in that person's and that

(04:25):
individual's presence and experiencing things together with them, spending time
with them so that you can develop that relationship. And
as you develop that relationship, you will cease from fearing
why because there's a communion that take place, and that
communion will bring a commonality and it will it will

(04:46):
increase love in this place. To fear. God commanded us
to be strong and good courage, and not to fear.
He says, neither be thou dismayed. Don't be sad, don't
be discouraged. I know, Moses, I know you are going
through some things that are going to challenge you. But
you have to gird up the lords of your minds.

(05:08):
You have to not become discouraged. And I hear saints
talking about, well, you know, I've been struggling with depression.
You've been struggling your relationship with the Lord too, because
those two don't exist. You're not going to walk in
the spirit of God and then walk in just adverse depression.
At the same time you under an attack of the enemy.

(05:31):
I know how we craft about Paul and certain individuals
depressed or whatever, not, that is not what the kind
of stuff that we are talking about today in depression, whatever,
is not what those that really had a relationship with
God went through. Yeah, there was some things that caused
them some pause and a lot of other things. But
one thing you always saw them do is focus on God.

(05:55):
Turn the Lord, gird up the lord of their mind,
and do what God called them to do. Elijah ran
from Jezebel because Jezebel's you had this victory, gonna kill
my prophet or whatever before the day's out. I'm gonna
kill you. Elijah. I tail it out of town, running
from running from from Jezebel. But he could not run God.

(06:18):
So what are you doing here? What we're gonna go on?
So God is saying, don't be dismayed. You got to
gird up the lords of your mind. You gotta remember
that that you're still on the journey, the task having changed,
but that's gone far. The Lord that God is with thee,
whethersoever thou goest, Firse ten and eleven says, and Joshua

(06:40):
commanded the officers of the people, saying, pass through the
hosts and command the people, saying, prepare you visuals, for
within three days you shall pass over this Jordan to
go into the promised Land which the Lord your God
has given you to possess it. The Lord wants me
to tell you and all of us to prepare for

(07:02):
this journey. We got to undergird our hearts and our minds,
the loins of our minds and what have you. Tune
our hearts and our minds to Him to do his will,
get ourselves in position for this journey. And that's where
I am. That's what I'm committed to doing. I as

(07:24):
I was sharing earlier, and and please don't get me
wrong here, and I'll try to just kind of be
measured when I when I say this, but I felt
impressed to include this as I was as I was
sharing with us earlier, that you know, Pastor Angela's passing

(07:47):
was a surprise to all of us, including me. We
were playing planning on our next move and so forth.
But then I got a call and says mister Bennett,
there has been a change of status. Now as a
subtopic in this portion of the message, I've told her

(08:07):
the change of status. God is not the god of
the dead. I could tell by the way that the
nurse was talking that there was a big change in status.
So it was like early early in the morning, and
I went right to the hospital to see what has
gone wrong since I left there just a few hours earlier.

(08:31):
And all of a sudden, now you get a call
that says change of status. And when I got there,
that change of status, what she's gone on to be
with the Lord. Yeah, that is a change of status,
a big change of status for all of our lives
and for hers, for her, really really positive. I think

(08:51):
she got the better end of that deal when you
look at the change to bring her where she is now.
Like I said earlier, guarantee you you can't pay her
to come back, you know, a mindful of a mind
reminded of Samuel when Saul got this medium to come

(09:12):
and conjure Saul up, and Saul got upbrade what you
called me here for paraphrasing, obviously by this time tomorrow
you're gonna be with me where I am. And so
change of status, there is a change of status. Angela
may not be with us, but she is with the Lord.

(09:34):
Now that's a status change that every believer look forward
to experiencing. Doss Angel live her life for that change
of status. The question for us is do we live
our lives for that change of status? Some of us
have step Will you be ready for that status change?
Or how would the status change be in your life?

(09:56):
Would it be for the better or not? My confidence
is for past Angeles for the better. In Matthew Chapter seventeen,
I want a refoorce real quickly versus one through three.
And this is interesting for me. And this is why
you know, I know that there's there are some that say, well, well,

(10:19):
you know, past, he's just put on that step, upper
lip and so forth, and and well, yeah, you're gonna
hit him, and it may. But my heart and confidence
is is that change of status. I'm confident where she
is to be absent from the body is to be

(10:41):
present with the Lord. And now we either believe that
or we don't. If I had my brothers, I'd rather
be right here arguing over I was saying, arguing facetiously
over the color of kitchen cabinets and countertops. Pastaid that
you want to wipe cabness and white and black countertops

(11:03):
lords will and will do that. But lords will, And
now we're gonna go in Matthew seventeen, and verse one
says this, And after six days Jesus taketh Peter and
James and John his brother, and bringeth them up into
a high mountain apart, and was transfigured before them. So

(11:25):
Jesus takes Peter and James and John to this mountain,
and then he went apart from them away, and then
he became transfigured. And so again verse two says, and
was transfigured before them, and his face did shine as
the sun, and his raiment as white as the light.

(11:48):
And behold there appeared unto him who Moses Elias talking
with him. Dead people don't talk. See, they're supposed to
be finality, a conclud or what have you. And now
here is Moses and Elijah talking with Jesus. The lord

(12:08):
is Angelu's pastor Angela for some God, and she is
his servant. Remember, Moses, my servants is dead. See there's
something said in being called a servant. And more importantly,
my servant. Some of us serve a whole lot of things.

(12:30):
Some of us serve a whole lot of purposes. By you,
God's servant. When it's all said and done, that's what's
going to count. That's what's going to matter. Are you
living your life in service to God? Are you living
your life in service to God? I can assure you,
pastor Angela live her life in service to God. But

(12:51):
the thing is, we're in service to the Lord. There's
nothing that stands between us and the Lord. Not those
whom we love, not the world, not this church. Not
anything comes between us and the Lord. And that's what
I share with people. That's what I share with or

(13:11):
anyone that this conversation comes up with. I said, there
should be nothing that comes between you and the Lord.
When the Bible says, SEEKI first the Kingdom of God
and his righteousness, then all these other things would be
added to you. God didn't misspeak if he said love
the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul. In script,
God did not misspeak. God will not play second fiddle

(13:33):
in anyone's band. He is either the head or he's
not in our lives. So here he says Moses was
his servants that we read in Joshua won and now
we see here hundreds of years later in human calculations
that now we see Moses right here. But I thought

(13:55):
Moses would Dad look at Verse at Matthew twenty two
and verse thirty But as touching the resurrection of the dead,
have you not read that which was spoken unto you
by God? Now who's saying this? It is God saying
Verse thirty thirty two. I am the God of Abraham,

(14:19):
the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. What
is one of the things Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has
in common other than Lennish Abraham is the patriarch, Isaac
the firstborn. According to promise, we know Ishmael was the firstborn,
but according to promise, it was Isaac. And then Jacob

(14:42):
is the firstborn of Isaac. So what did it have
in common? According to this life, they all experienced death.
But in God, this is why I tell us, there's
something else going on that we are unaware of. In God,
they're alive. Listen to this. I am the God of

(15:03):
Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.
And then Jesus is sharing this. Now, Jesus is saying,
God is not the God of the dead right, but
of the living. And so we may mourn, we may
have heartbreak, and what have you. But where my confidence

(15:24):
and where all of our confidence should be is that
God is not the God of the dead, but God
is the God of the living, and she still lives
well pastor yea, she still lives. I'm not trying to
psych myself out. I'm not trying to go through some
mentral exercise of what have you? Remember we shared with you. You
got to believe how much of the Word you got

(15:46):
to be how much of the law? How much of it?
Not ten percent, not fifty percent, but one hundred percent.
What we as people of God got to understand we
either believe the Word or not. Do you really believe
the word? Don't you? The Word says that God is
the God of the living. Moses, Abraham died hundreds of

(16:09):
years before this, Isaac died hundreds of years before this,
Jacob died hundreds of years before this, and Jesus saying
God is not the God of the dead, but of
the living. Believe it'st thou this do you believe? Look
at James chapter one, in verse twelve. You see we

(16:30):
got to understand, as people of God, we have a
promise of eternal life. You don't have a promise of heaven.
You have a promise of eternal life. There is a
difference in the two, and so heaven is there. Fine
is a given. This is what I'm saying. My focus
is not on heaven. If you know something that is
going to take place, you don't have to focus on

(16:50):
whether or not it's going to take place. You resolve
in your heart. Well that's a given. It's a fatal
complete love that little French word. There's nothing can be
added or taken away from it. It is so. And
so therefore what I need to do is to do
the things that I need to do before I get there.
I got to continue this journey. I must continue to

(17:11):
do the things I must do so that I will
get there. The only thing that will keep me from
getting there is that there's a change in my status,
not his. And so we have a promise of eternal life.
James one and twelve says, blessed is the man that
endures temptation, for when he is tried, he shall receive

(17:31):
what the crown of life, which the Lord have promised
to them that love him. Do you love the Lord?
If you love God, God has given you a promise
of life, eternal life, and that's where our hope is.
As people of God, in our eternal life is an
eternal existence. It is to be with the Lord. So

(17:53):
shall we ever be with the Lord wherever he is,
we are going to be, be it heaven or be
at earth. Way, that's where our hope lie, and that's
where pas Angela is now. So in conclusion, the thing
that I want us to understand is that each of
us have something to live for. We have something to

(18:15):
fight for, we have something to go through four we
have something, if necessary, to die for. We have a hope.
And Second Corinthian chapter five, I want to read for
you verses one through ten, and then we'll consider this
to be our conclusion. We are on a journey and

(18:35):
our heart has to be anchored in a certain way.
We can allow. We cannot allow the situation and circumstances
of our lives sway us to the left or the right.
We got to make sure that we hold hold to
the word of God and we embrace with everything that
we have. And verse one of Second Corinthians chapter five,

(18:57):
it says, for we know that if our earthly house
of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of
God not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Isn't
that alsome? That is a part of our hope. So

(19:17):
if we shared this body, then all of a sudden,
God God not only have us a new vessel or
new body, he also have us a new name, and
he has that name hid from us. And so so
there Angela, pastor Angela whatever. Hey consider this to be

(19:39):
the gospel of Pastor Bennett. At best, it'll be a
nickname because because her name now is something that he
is hid in God. I don't even know that name
because it's hid in Him. So if our earthly tabernacle,
talking about this house, this earthen vessel, is the dissolved,

(20:01):
we know that literally that God has another body, a
vessel for us that's not made by hand, that one
is eternal. Verse two says this, for in this we
grown earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house,

(20:22):
which is from heaven. So in this present tabernacle, there
are a lot of things that we want to change. Well, Lord,
I don't bend like I used to. I can't do this. Well,
I can't get you. There are certain limitations of this
present vessel that we will shed when it comes to
our earthly tabernacle. So this is why Paul is saying that,

(20:48):
for in this we're grown, we earnestly desire to be
clothed upon with the house which is from heaven. That
is what we're looking to. War Verse three says, if
so be that being clothed, we shall not be found naked.
For we that are in this tabernacle do grown being burdened,

(21:14):
not for that we would be unclothed, but clothe upon
that mortality might be swallowed up in what life see,
Mortality is being alive, but vulnerable are able to die.
And so a part of our hope is that at

(21:37):
some point in time, just like I said in the
well and of First Corinthian chapter fifteen, the mortal will
put on immortality, those that are seeing corruption will put
on in corruption. And so as believers, we have the
hope of eternality. And so Paul is trying to convey

(22:01):
to us that we have a new adorning. We have
a new adorning that will take place in our lives,
regardless to what happened, whether we pass from death into
life or whether we pass from life into life. We
have a hope. We have an eternal hope into heavens,

(22:21):
and we're saying into heaven something that's not predicated upon
this natural, not predicated upon the earth. This is something spiritual.
This is something that will come from above, that will
come from heaven and manifest itself into earth. That time
will come, and that is a part of the path
that we're on. We will experience that one way or another.

(22:42):
We are going to experience this again. Verse three. If
so be that being clothed, we shall not be found naked,
for we that are in this tabernac, or do grown
being burnt, and not for that which would be unclothed,

(23:03):
but clothe, upon that mortality might be swallowed up in life.
Verse five. Now he that have brought us four the
self same thing in God, who also have given unto
us the earnest of the spirit. Therefore we are always confident,
knowing that while as we are at home and the body,

(23:28):
we are absent from the Lord. Now to some extent,
while we are here Paul described it as being at
home and the body in this natural lives, there is
a separation between us and our heavenly Father. That connection
that we are destined to have can't take place in

(23:51):
our natural state. And so that's why they're gonna have
to be a change from the mortal to the immortality,
which means that you will not die, but you will transfer.
You will you literally will you will transform, be transformed
from this mortal state into an immortal state. So one
way or another, we're going to experience that that transformation

(24:14):
must take place in order for six for us to
solidify this relationship that we are destined to have with
the Lord. And that is a part of the journey
that we are on, and that journey continues. Verse seven says,
for we walk by faith and not by sight. We
are confidence, I say, and willing rather to be absent

(24:36):
from the body and to be present with the Lord.
Wherefore we labor that whether presents are absent, we may
be accepted of Him. And that's the way we live
our lives, and that's how we live our lives. We
live our lives in such a way that our lives
will be acceptable to Him. And if we live our

(24:58):
lives in a way that is to him, then what
will happen in the process is superpolous. We don't have
to worry about that. As people of God, we do
walk by faith and not by sight. And that faith
is faith in confidence in God, not ourselves, not in
a religious tradition, our religious belief system, but confidence in

(25:19):
God and everything that we do, all of our hopes
is in God. That's where our faith lie. And that's
why we go through the things that we go through.
That's why we deal with things the way that we
deal with them because of our hope and our confidence
in God. Father, I do think and I praise you,
Lord for your word. I thank you for encouraging us

(25:40):
Lord during this time. Lord, knowing that for pastor angela Lord,
to be absent from the body is to be present
with you. That is a hope, and there's a confidence
that we all share. And we do remain faithful Lord
to you, and we do remain confident in You. Help
us to never lose that confidence. And Father, if there's

(26:05):
anyone under the sound of my voice that do not
have this hope, that do not have this confidence, that
have not accepted you as Lord and savior of their lives, Father,
I asked that you will prick their heart's, Lord, and
that you will help them to receive the seed, the
seed of your word that was sown into their heart's.

(26:26):
Lord Father, you said that all of us have sin
and fallen short of your glory. But you also said,
wherever sin abound, your grace will much more bound. You
say that it is by that grace, by grace, that
we are saved, not because of anything that we've done,
but up because of what you have done. And what
you have done is you have shared your love upon

(26:50):
us so richly that you said, Lord in your word,
that you so loved the world that you gave your
only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him, Jesus Christ,
should not perish, but have everlasting life, because you did
not send him into this world to condemn the world,
because the world was condemned already. You send him in

(27:12):
this world that the world through Jesus Christ might be saved. Therefore, Lord,
I asked that you will save the Lord anyone that's
under the sound of my voice that do not know
you as Lord and savior of their lives. Lord, take
their sin and cast them as far as the est
is from the west. Say the Lord. Father asked that
you would not only save them, but fill them with

(27:33):
your holy spirit, that they will be in power to
live right to do right and to understand your word
and lead them to a place that they will be
fed the sincere milk of your gospel. Whither I do
thank you and I praise you for it. Father. You
also said that you will supply all of our needs
according to your richest in glory through Christ Jesus, our Lord.
And I asked the Lord that you would do just that.

(27:54):
Whatever the need is, Lord, supply the need. Place a
headshi protection around your people, undergird their heart's Lord, encourage
those that need encouragement. Lord, lift up those that need
to be lifted up. Lord, command your financial blessing and
prosperity upon those that needed. Lord, supply every need under
the sound of my voice. Be it healing, deliverance. Lord, heal,

(28:17):
deliver set free in the name of Jesus. Father, we
yet remain faithful, We yet have confidence in you. We
hold fast the profession of our faith in you without waving. Lord,
we continue to pray to your Lord. We continue to
fast on your behalf. Lord. We continue to do all,

(28:38):
we continue to serve you. We continue to worship you, Lord,
because we are faithful. Lord, because you are faithful, And
for that we thank you. And Father I ask that
you will indeed bless and keep us off, make your
faith to shine upon us, be gracious unto us, lift
up your contnance upon us, give us your peace. Got
to do. Thank you and I praise you for it

(28:59):
and Jesus thing we do. Pray, Amen, thank.
