Speaker 1 (00:00):
And this is why we need one another. This is
why we need to not lose connection with one another.
This is why the Bible instructs us that even the
more so as we see that they approaching for us,
not the forsake the assimbling of ourselves together and what
we are doing. We're not following the pattern. We use
(00:20):
COVID as an excuse, We use our business as an excuse,
we use so many things as an excuse for us
not to symbol ourselves together. We are going.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
It's time for Sunday Supper and time to feast on
God's word. Sunday Supper is a ministry of christ Church
for the End Times. Christ Church for the End Times
is a non denominational teaching church ministry. Our mission is
to help prepare God's people for life and ministry during
the times in which we live. Join us on Wednesdays
at six thirty pm for a dynamic, practical, engaging, and
(01:11):
life changing Bible study and on Sunday mornings at ten
thirty am for a weekly church service. But for now,
let's feast at the Lord's table. Here's today's message, already
in progress.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Said the way we're going to have to get back
to doing things the way God instructed us to do them.
And in order to do that, ministers, the clergy, all
of those that are in ministry are going to have
(01:45):
to come back and do things the way that God
outline them to be done, and follow the pattern of
God and not follow our own pattern. Ephesi in chapter four,
verse eleven says this, and he gave some apostles, and
some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.
(02:06):
Why did he do this for the perfecting of the saints,
for the working of the ministry, for the edifying the
building up of the Body of Christ. For how long
till we all come into the unity of the faith
that we're unity translates into oneness. There's a onness that
(02:27):
we all should have in Christ, because the Body of
Christ is not divided and one. This is different from unity,
even though I understand the similarities. But those ministry giftings
are in place and will be in place until we
see the manifestation of verse thirteen. Till we all come
(02:49):
and to the unity of the faith. Also, and of
the knowledge of the Son of God. There's a commonality
of our knowledge of the Son of God. That we
all all should have. And the only way we're going
to have that commonality of knowledge is to follow the
pattern that God has already said, and that God has
already put into place. And our problem is we have
(03:11):
deviated from the pattern. So now we don't even know
who the Son of God is. We call this name,
we say Jesus, but we have lost sight of who
Jesus really is. So we all come into the unity
of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son
of God onto what a perfect man. Now we're told
(03:32):
in the church that you can't be perfect. The Bible
beg to differ with you. He's telling you you supposed
to be perfect. And what we're doing is working towards
that perfection. When I was telling you the story about
making the suit, I had to get that pattern. I
had to cut every one of those pieces out. Those
pieces were going to be a perfect suit, but they're
(03:53):
all in pieces. Something had to happen in order to
bring them together. But as those jaws of material began
to be cut along the form of the pattern, as
we began to put piece to piece, began to stitch
them together, what have you? As we began to do that,
it began to take on its form. And as we
(04:14):
begin to put all those components together, all of a sudden,
guess what, we had a perfect suit. You look at
the suit that I'm wearing. It didn't start off being this,
Oh we're gonna wink a blink of the eye, and
all of a sudden pass we've been the Hazarma suit. No,
it doesn't work that way. No, every one of these
little components. That's why you see all these scenes and
(04:35):
stuff like that, because you had multiple pieces that had
to come together in order to create this what we
call a suit. Guess what. The same thing happens with
our lives. The reason why we don't accomplish more in
the earth, the reason why we don't accomplish more in
our lives is because we're not bringing the pieces together.
And it's not just pieces in your life. Remember I
(04:56):
was sharing with you. Sometimes it takes other individuals to
come together in order to round your life out, just
like it was with the tabernacle. If you just had
the tabernacle there with that, just the tent there and
what have you, then everything that makes it functional still
wouldn't work. You still won't have the presence of God.
And this is why we need one another. This is
(05:17):
why we need to not lose connection with one another.
This is why the Bible instructs us that even the
more so as we see that they approaching for us,
not the forsake, the assimbling of ourselves together. And what
we are doing, we're not following the pattern. We use
COVID as an excuse. We use our business as an excuse,
(05:39):
We use so many things as an excuse for us
not to symbol ourselves together. And when I see people now,
they don't even pick up a phone and talk to
one another anymore. There was a time they would just
send them an email. Now the email done got too slow.
We'll send them a text. And now the texts have
done gotten too slow, We'll send them a emoji, and
(06:01):
eventually the emoji will be too slow. And now we
done got to the point we do a tap back?
What is a tap the cinema text? And you don't
want to respond to the text inside the app? They
got something, you just click an icon, you know, send
an icon back for you. And we don't realize that
all these things cumulatively is causing us to become more divided.
(06:25):
We are separating ourselves from one another. And the thing
that we don't realize. As this began to continue to
proliferate among us and among our society, what will happen
is that we'll become more detached for one another. So
when the enemy wants to persecute your brother and your sister,
you're not going to even have any feeling, any thoughts
(06:46):
for that person. It was this young young lady that
stopped by the Bible set or whatever. Just a gregarious, young,
young young girl. I'm saying young girls. She is in
a I guess forty seventh, forty eight and whatever, and
just those you're seeing these individuals that they just it's
just like a cool breeze on a sunny, hot day
(07:08):
in Georgia. They come by and just blow that that
cool breeze upon you. And that's how she was. She
came by the Bible study and just engaged and whatever.
Just was a breath of fresh air. Then all of
a sudden, I was I was probably about a month
or so later, I was, I stopping was talking to
her friend and he said, I don't know if you
(07:30):
knew it was his knees, And he said, she just
died dropped out of a massive heart attack. She was
doing something and I found out she was engaged in
some ministry or doing something whatever, and just like that,
gone to be with the Lord. And so you never know.
But I said all of that to say, when it
(07:51):
comes to us in our lives, when we go in
and engage with people what have you, you don't know
when you're gonna get that second opy or what have you.
So you seize the advantage of the moment that God
has given you and you leave a positive impact on
someone's life, not for selfish or self centered reasons, but
(08:12):
because it's just good to do it, because it's right
to do it. And it was at her celebration and
everybody was just sharing how the same thing that she
did with us she did with everyone that she came
in contact with. Someone was sharing with how they was
in a rough patch and she allowed them to come
(08:33):
over and spend some time with It might have been
her cousin or something like that. He was going through
a rough time and one of the things he noticed
is that she would get up every morning and she
would spend time with the Lord. And someone else was saying,
you know, we was in the same apartment complex at
one point in life, and every day she would get
up and she would meditate on the Lord. And you
(08:56):
can tell that that's someone that spent time with the Lord,
because when she comes into your presence, it's like the
tabernacle of God. The presence of God is right there.
It's like you move into the presence of God. And
that's the way that all of us should be as believers.
(09:16):
We should live our lives in such a way that
we are the tabernacle of God. So as we go
into this world, as we interface in people's lives, it's
like we bring the presence of God in the midst
of whatever the situation, of the circumstances that we're in.
And far too many of us have removed ourselves from that.
(09:38):
And that's only because we haven't followed the pattern. So
He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors,
and the teachers in order to perfect the church, for
the perfecting of the saints, for the work of ministry,
for the building up or edifying of the body. Until
(09:59):
we coming to the oneness of the faith, the unity
of the faith, and of the knowledge of God. There's
a oneness that we need to be when it comes
to the Son of God, unto that perfect Man. Now
who is this perfect man that we should be coming?
The Scripture is telling us you don't have to guess
about what that perfect man is. He's saying, unto the
(10:23):
measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. That's
who we're all supposed to be. When people see us,
they should see Jesus. When they see us, they should
see the Word of God. The Bible says in the
beginning with the word, and the word was with God,
and the word was God, and the word became flesh.
It goes on to say, and the word became flesh
(10:45):
and dwelt among us. That's who we should be in
our lives. Jesus says, I'm the light of the world.
Later he said, you are the light of the world.
Why because he took himself and he poured himself into us.
And now we should be the lights of this world.
But as the world seeing our lights, are we really
the lights of the world. Do we illustrate Jesus? Do
we shine Jesus upon everyone that we come in contact with,
(11:08):
or do they see you? The world needs Jesus they
don't need me, they don't need you, they don't need us.
They need Jesus. And the only way they're going to
see Jesus is to see them through us. We have
to become the lights of this world. We have to
become the city that sits on the hill that can't
be hid. Verse fourteen says that henceforth, and this is
(11:31):
why we need to mature. This is why we need
to become the sons of God. As we shared with
you last week. He says, now are we the sons
of God? But it does not yet appear what we
shall be. But when He appear, we shall be like him,
for we shall see him as he is. The state
(11:51):
that he is is the state that we must be
in when Jesus returned. And some of us, I can't
wait for the Lord return. I can't wait for the
Lord return. Are you sure about that? Are you? Jesus?
Is the life of Christ reflected in and through your life?
If not, you're not ready for Jesus. Verse fourteen says
(12:15):
that we henceforth be no more children tossed to and
four and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by
the slight of men and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie
in wait to deceive. The reason why the Church is
so deceived today is because we are still immature. We
(12:36):
are still children, because we haven't become Jesus. We haven't
grown into matured into the Son of God. And that
is what the world needs. The world needs the Church
to come forth. It's like the scripture says that the
whole creation is waiting for the advent, for the manifestation
(12:58):
of the sons of God, and now it's time for
us to grow into it. It's time for us to
become that which God has destined us to become. And
so we are to be coming to full this perfect man,
this full measure of Jesus Christ. And once we do that,
(13:20):
we will grow beyond this childhood innocence that we have
been in for far too long, and we become the
sons of the one and only true in living God,
the first born among many brethren, and we won't have
to worry about the deception or whatever. This is what
Jesus was talking about when he says, if it was possible,
(13:41):
he will deceive even the very elect. And who's to
elect those that God has sent the invitation to that
have accepted the invitation. You got to understand you did
not choose God. God chose you. And the reason why
you don't choose God because God is the King. You
don't choose the King. The King choose you. The King
(14:03):
sends the invitation out. It is your acceptance of the
invitation that puts you in oneness and in harmony with
the King. And all of a sudden, now in your
mind you said, well, I chose to go. No, you
accepted the invitation. It behooved you to accept the invitation.
But once we do that, all of a sudden God
(14:25):
will work or work in our lives. We began to
grow into that which God has ordain for us to
be from the foundation of this world. And then verse
fifteen says, but speak you the truth in love. But
speaking the truth and love may grow up into Him.
And how many things, all things, which is the head,
(14:46):
even Christ. So it is imperative for us as believers,
as members of the body of Christ, to grow up
into Jesus Christ, not in some things, but in all things.
So if you look get the life of Christ. That
is the life that we should be presenting as people
(15:06):
of God. And the only way we're going to be
able to do that is for the members of the clergy,
the ministers, to adapt their role. In verse eleven, he said,
he outlined the ministry gifts, the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists,
the pastors, the teachers, and now when we look at
(15:26):
those roles, we have diverged from the pattern of the apostles,
of the prophets, of the evangels, of the pastors and whatever.
And we're making up our own thing. Everybody that wanted
to be apostle now or I'm apostle this, I'm apostle this,
But what is an apostle? I guarantee most of them
don't know what apostle it is. So what do we do?
(15:47):
We come up with our own definition definitions of what
the word what an apostle is, And just want to
just outline this real quickly. So when you're looking at
an apostle, an apostle is an ambassador and official delegate
of the Kingdom of Heaven. So if you are an
official delegate of the Kingdom of Heaven, that means, as
(16:08):
an apostles, your job is established not your own interests,
not the interests of your religious system, but the interests
of the Kingdom of Heaven. An apostle is a commissioner,
empowered and commission to speak on behalf of the Kingdom
of Heaven. Of the King. You're a representative of the
king and you're not going to be that unless the
(16:29):
King designates you to be. So you take on the mantle.
You decide that you want to be an apostle, your
organization decides that you want to be apostible an apostle.
But have the King of Kings determined that you are
an apostle? An apostle is a a commissioner. He's an
(16:50):
ambassador of the Kingdom of Heaven. Is that what you are?
Is that what you're representing? Are you representing the interests
your own self interests, or the interests of your organization,
or the interests of the Kingdom of Heaven. Prophets Prophets
are God's heralds H. E. R A L D. The criers,
(17:12):
God's criers, God's mouthpiece, the mouthpiece of the Kingdom of
the King of Kings. A lot of us we look
at apostles at prophets as being You might as well
say fortune taillers. I always say apostles isn't a fortune teller,
(17:32):
he's a fourth tellers. He literally or she whatever. There
are female prophets, prophetess, whatever, But they are the mouthpiece
of God. They utter that which God instructs them to utter,
not what they think and what have you. This is
why you look at prophets of old. Not one of
(17:54):
their words fall to the ground. And so if you're
a prophet, if you call yourself a prophet and word
that proceeds out of your mouth doesn't manifest themselves, then
you're not the prophet. You may call yourself a prophet,
you may be, you may be a fortune teller, you
may And there are gifts that does that. Just like
in Moses' date, when Moses put the serpent there, you
(18:16):
had these soothsayers doing the same thing. When Moses turned
to the water the blood, guess what, you had those
south says doing the same thing. So just because you
see all these gifts operating in the supernatural doesn't mean
that they are the anointed of God. But the difference
(18:36):
in the prophet and the and the the soothsayer is
that only the prophet can can put forth the utterances
of God. They are the only ones that can come
before God, monoing mono and received directly from God in
order to share with whomever God says to share it to,
(18:56):
even if it's the ambassador. And then you have the evangelists,
then that the evangelists, the preacher of the gospel of
the Kingdom of God. You're saying, you as an evangelist,
and you're trying to well what I'm going to say
in order to get a rise out of people. That's
not evangelism. Where you proclaiming the kingdom of Heaven, the
Kingdom of God. When you had one of the first evangelists,
(19:20):
John the Baptist, what was his message? His message was repent.
Why because the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. See
all the ministry gifts. Notice every one of the ministry
gift has an express purpose, purpose, and all of them
work together in order to perfect the saints. So if
you're just trying to get the saints to get happy
(19:42):
in order to give in order to do whatever you
want them to do or the ministry saying to do,
you're not accomplishing the will planning purpose of God. And
God has a will. God has a plan and a purpose.
Because God has a pattern for everyone's life. And if
what you're doing is a perfect Remember a part of
the job of the ministry gift is to perfect the saints,
(20:04):
to edify, to build up the body. And if you're
not doing that, we're not talking about getting rise out
of people, for people to be happy as long as
they're in the congregation, whatever. And they leave there and
get back to the four walls of their house and
instantly go back into depression because all that fluff that
you've given them will not manifest itself. And they're wondering, well,
(20:27):
this is what the Lord says. The Lord didn't say that.
They said it. They wasn't speaking from the utterances of God.
Because if God said it, he will do it. If
he's spoken, he will bring it the past, and there's
nothing in heaven on earth can prevent it from taking place.
If God said it, you gotta believe God. So if
you're preaching, if your ministry, if your apostleship or whatever
(20:52):
isn't reflecting the will of the Kingdom of Heaven, then
you're not it. If you're not proclaiming a word of God,
if you're not preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, building up,
truly building up, and edifying the people of God. You
are not it. You may be evangelist, but you're not
(21:13):
an evangelist of the Kingdom of Heaven. You may be
a prophet, but you're not a prophet of the Kingdom
of Heaven. You may be a teacher or an apostle
or whatever, but not of the Kingdom of Heaven. Because
everything in the Kingdom of Heaven revolves around the presence
of God, and they proclaim the things of God. Then
(21:35):
the pastor. The pastor is the shepherd, a shepherd the
sheep of the Kingdom of God. He's not a hireling.
You're not in it for the money. You're there to
care for the sheep. That means you're gonna feed the sheep.
You're gonna be instant in season and out of season.
It means that you don't care whether you get paid
(21:55):
or not. That's not your that's not your robic. Why
because you of howland you care for the sheep. You
care for the sheep just like the sheep owner care
for the sheep. And all the shepherds didn't own the sheep.
Some of the shepherds was hired by the chief shepherd,
the one that owned the sheep. But they cared for
the sheep like the sheep was their own. And a
(22:17):
pastor of the Kingdom of God is gonna do the
same thing. So the shepherds are not gonna exploit the
people in order for their own self aggrandizement. That's in hareland.
That's not what a shepherd does. A shepherd is gonna
feed you, gonna take you the pastors many times that
you don't want to eat from, but it's better for you.
You may want to go and graze in this area,
(22:39):
but the shepherd say no, that first, that's not our property.
That's not where we're going. Not only that that grass
is the best grass for you. We're gonna go here
or what have you. And when you get out there
going crazy and you're going your own racked way, the
shepherd is gonna go and count their heads of the sheep,
because you were a small for every head of the sheep,
(23:02):
and you're gonna go looking for the ones that's not there,
because you're gonna have to answer to the chief shepherd.
And so if you want of those one of those
pastors that don't care anything about the sheep, they're not coming. Well,
they ain't here to that and you don't even think
about why people are not coming. You're not even asking questions,
you're not even doing anything. Maybe you're not You may
(23:25):
be a pastor, but not a pastor of the Kingdom
of Heaven, because the pastor of the Kingdom of Heaven
care about not the sheep's plural, but the sheep singular,
every one of them. Because the shepherd, the pastor of
the Kingdom of Heaven thinks in term of one that's
not unity and unity you keep your individuality and one
(23:49):
that's you come the you form a singular whole. And
so if one is not there, the whole is not there.
And so we go out there looking for the sheep.
And this is why Jesus said when he came to
the Father, I've lost none except one that's a son
of tradition, he was destined to be lost. As people
of God. This is why we need to be caring
(24:10):
for one another. We need to be be calling one
another see where they are. And we have lost all
of this in the church today. We don't care about people.
We talk about we love the love God. You don't
love God, God says, how can you say you love?
The scripture says How can you say you love God
whom you never seen and then hate your brother but says,
(24:32):
we've we've gotten sidetracked when it comes to the pattern,
because we are part of one another. And when your
brother and your sister for whatever the reason, isn't coming
to church, isn't a part of the fellowship anymore. You
don't need to go about your merry little life and
say me and my God, I'm all tired of I'm
working doing all the Yeah, all of us got stuff
that we are doing. You take time to go and
(24:54):
do Facebook posts, you go up, you got time to go,
do you two pages you watch? You gonna have to
answer for this. You're gonna you're gonna stand before God
and you're gonna start talking about what you was doing
and what you didn't have time to do and whatever.
And God is gonna unfold before you and a moment
of a twinkling of an eye and show every TikTok
(25:16):
video you you took the time of to do, every
YouTube post and what the YouTube or YouTube whatever they
call the video you put up there, Facebook posts, your
tweets on your Twitter, your ex whatever you calling them now,
and all that stuff over there, all your Instagram posts.
All that stuff takes time, and so you got enough
(25:37):
time to do all of that, and you don't have
enough time to pick up a phone and said, I'm
thinking about you and you that's what the pastor is
there for. You know, the pastor is there to keep
you from running off the cliff. You should have enough
enough care and concern when you don't care? How how
how I done like that one? Anyway? And that's supposed
(26:00):
to be your brother. You don't like your toe. I
guarantee you I'm gonna stop. I promise I'm gonna come
to a rough landing. Sometimes I look up my toe.
I said, Lord, why you have the little toe? And
why he looks like that? But don't matter how how
your little toe look. You may like your your big
(26:23):
toe more than your little toe, your middle toe more
than your little toe, on whatever, but it's necessary. And
I guarantee you you don't want nobody to cut it off.
You will defend it to the death. No, that's my toe.
Well it's gangreen, it's still it's still my toe. You
hold no, we gotta come, No keep my toe? No
you want that? How come we don't do that? When
(26:44):
it comes to our brothers and sisters and the Lord,
we'll flesh of their flesh. We are bone of their bones.
We're a part of the body of Christ. No, our
problem is we're not following the pattern. We're not expressing
the love of God. And if you love your brother
and your sister, you will make some time. Let them
hang up on you, let them avoid you, let them
(27:06):
see your number, and don't pick up the phone. The
Bible says, if the watchman that's on the wall see
the destroyer're coming, and if he doesn't sound alarm, well
they ain't gonna listen anyway, then the blood of those
people are on your hand. But if you sound along,
if they say, oh, that's just that watchman. He's always
hollering about something. He's always saying somebody's about the threat
(27:28):
does and you don't pay any attention to it, then
the blood is on their own hand. No, you don't
do it because you don't want the blood is on
your hands. You do it because you love your brother,
remember Luke ten twenty seven. You do it because you
love your neighbor as you love yourself. And if you
was in their shoes, you may want someone to call
you and because sometimes people are going into something and
(27:50):
the enemy is just playing in their mind, especially when
they're weak in the faith, and you need to go
out there and get out of your comfort zone and
go and make some phone calls, drop up and pay
a visitor, what have you, and don't depend on the
pastor to do it. The pastor got a life to
live also. And then the teacher. The teacher instructs the
(28:15):
faithful into the matters of faith, not based on what
we determine faith is, but according to the Kingdom of God.
And this is what we got to do as people
of God. We've got to become more ministry focused. And
when we saying ministry focus, that's based on the Kingdom
of Heaven, not based on our religious bents, our religious criteria,
(28:38):
but according to the plan of God, according to the
pattern of God. You do that, you're gonna find that
you're not only going to be pleasing when it comes
to the Lord, you're gonna find that the Body of
Christ will begin to grow and begin to prosper. And
we all would have the faith and the stamina in
order to deal with the things that's taking place and
(28:59):
that will take place in this serve Thank you for
