Speaker 1 (00:00):
A part of our challenge as believers is to begin
to see ourselves as a singular unit as opposed to
individual or enclave. We say, well, this is mine, and
this is mine. To some extent, you can say that,
But in the spiritual.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Realm you all a part of a whole.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
When the enemy is attacking another member of the body,
you are being attacked, and we have to begin to
look at it in that way. And until we begin
to look at it in that way, we're not going
to effectively confront the devil.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
We are.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
It's time for Sunday Supper and time to feast on
God's words. Sunday Supper is a ministry of christ Church
for the End Times. Christ Church for the End Times
is a non denominational teaching church which ministry. Our mission

during the times in which we live. Join us on
Wednesdays at six thirty pm for a dynamic, practical, engaging,

(01:11):
and life changing Bible study and on Sunday mornings at
ten thirty am for a weekly church service. But for now,
let's feast at the Lord's table. Here's today's message, already
in progress.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
What he said, it's God's desire for us to be
above only and not beneath the be the head and
not the tail, to be blessed, going in and coming out,
to be full in every area of our lives. He says,
I am come that you may have what life, and

(01:49):
that you might have it more abundantly.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
So Jesus didn't come for you just to exist and breathe.
I'm alive. I'm alive.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
A plant can do that. Yeah, that's not what God
has in store for you. That's not what God desires
for you. He came not for you to just exist.
He came for you to live. He came for you
to have life, fullness of joy, and to have life
in increasing abundance. Your life shouldn't plateau. You shouldn't get

(02:18):
that that place where I'm just I done been there
and I'm gonna retire, retire from what life.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Some of us we don't understand. That's the way of
the world.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
If you want to leave one job and go do
another job, or go and do and see God's planet
and see the earth. Now we just want to travel,
that's one thing. Well, when you I just want to
I just don't want to do nothing. You just don't know.
You just don't know what kind of spirit you you
you have. But again that's a Louill side. Maybe we'll
get into that a little bit later. Battle line drawn.

(02:51):
The first thing we got to understand is what a
battle line is. Now, you you might have seen some
of these kind of ancients, uh some of these uh
war I think, whether in various piers, when they would
line up their soldiers along a certain line in a
certain format, and then opposing forces would do the same.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
They do it for strategic advantages and what have you.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
I look at it and I think it's kind of
you know, personally, you know, and I'm not. I'm not
one of those that that military strategy or anything like that,
But personally, I wouldn't necessarily unless there's just no other option.
I wouldn't want to just line up straight there where
somebody an opposing force is good shooting guns at me,

(03:39):
and they're gonna right at me, and I'm standing like
a statue there waiting for them to shoot. Not quite
my cup of tea. I'd rather I'd rather take another strategy.
But that's a little side. But my point is when
you look at that format, that that formation that's a
battle line, and that is that is the point of conflict.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
It is the it is the place of challenge. And
the thing I.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Want us to understand that in a in the natural,
in the military conflict, you can have several battle lines
because you can have several places where you are fighting
the enemy, they call it a front. You can have
several front lines because of where you are challenging the enemy.
In a spiritual sense, it's not the same way. Spiritual

(04:30):
warfare is totally different from from natural warfare. Spiritual warfare
warfare is almost you can say that it's monolithic, which
means it's just one mass and so and it's and
it's not just that.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
You you almost have to.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Look at it circular like a circle, and then you
you if you look at it a circle, and then you
try to try to and it's kind of difficult to
kind of illustrate this, but if you look at in
a circle and then ask yourself, where's the front and
where's the back of a circle?

Speaker 2 (05:05):
There isn't one. It kind of depends.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Now you may look at it from your point of view,
but that's only because geologically you are you at.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
A certain fixed position. But is that the front line,
or is that the sign? Is that the top or
is that the bottom.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
So when you look at spiritual warfare, you gotta look
at it in that context. And that's the only way
that I can really kind of illustrate to you that
there's not just one place. And this is why I'm
not saying battle lines, but battle line, because there when
you're fighting the enemy, when you're being challenged, you are literally,

(05:47):
uh in a battle. You are in a conflict, and
you you you are being confronted as a part of
an entire unit.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Let's see if I can give you another illustration of this.
Let's say, if.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
That wouldn't be the you know, down south and there's
a plant that we called cut suit and cut su
is a and they said, this thing is really large.
You can cut cutsou down here and then it'll it's.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Kind of all over.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
It's like, you can't you can you can put round
up if you can find any of these days you
can put you can you can burn it or what
have you. But the only thing you're doing is just
dealing with the leaf. What you see the roots of
this thing just spread all over. It is a massive
kind of thing. It could come up, it could come

(06:45):
up in another county and another place, but it's all
a part of the same plant. And so I said
that to say that, that's the way we have to
begin to look at ourselves. The Bible says, we are
many members, but we are one body, were body. We
are members in particular in essence. We are members with
certain functions, certain places, but we are all a part

(07:06):
of the same body. A part of our challenge as
believers is to begin to see ourselves as a singular
unit as opposed to individual or enclave. And this is
why we say, well, this is mine, and this is mine,
and whatever the case may be.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
To some extent, you can.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Say that, But in the spiritual realm, if I can
say it this way, you're all a part of a whole.
So when the enemy attacks you, he's attacking the body.
When the enemy is attacking another member of the body,
you are being attacked. And we have to begin to
look at it in that way. And until we begin

(07:43):
to look at it in that way, we're not going
to effectively effectively confront our adversary, the devil. Now this
may seem a little headed, but it's important for us
to understand that because you may not realize it, but
you are in a battle. When you're suffering, like when
you're suffering from diseases and all those things, all of

(08:05):
that is.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
A part of us warfare.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
When you're children going back in crazy and when your
spouse is doing all this crazy stuff, when you see
politicians doing all this stuff and all this crazy stuff,
you got to understand this is a spiritual battle. It's
a spiritual warfare. And having said that, let me just
say this also. If you recall, we did this lengthy

(08:31):
study in the Book of Ephesians, and we got all
the way down to chapter six, probably around verses thirteen
and fourteen, and then we kind of segued a little
bit when we begin to share with you that we
are wrestling against principalities and power and the rulers, or
the dokness of this world and spiritual wickedness and high places.

(08:52):
You know, technically we're steal you know, kind of dealing
with that aspect of it.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
And we're going to come back to the latter portions
of this.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
But I thought it was important for us to begin
to see this conflict so that we can understand why
is important for us to put on the whole armor
of God.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
So that's a little aside.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
But I want us to understand that this conflict we
have to begin to engage, and we.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Got to see it for what it really is.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
So we got to confront this conflict in an intentional
on way, and we got to begin to be a
little more strategic when it comes to confronting this battle. Now,
let's go to the book of Revelations, the Revelation of John.
We want to look at chapter twelve. I want to

(09:47):
read a few things to you so you can kind
of see. I want you to see this battle that
we're in, and I want you to also see that
this is a spiritual battle. And this battle started in heaven,
and now this battle has migrated to earth.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
And this is why Jesus praised the prayer that he.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
Prayed that Kingdom come that will be done in earth
as it is in heaven. This battle started in heaven,
and that battle in heaven was won. That battle now
is ensued here on the earth. And guess what this
battle has to be won. And the same strategies and

(10:30):
techniques and resources brought the bear in heaven are going
to be necessary in order to confront and win this
battle here on the earth. And so it's important for
us to understand that this battle is gonna have to
be fought and it's gonna have to be fought on

(10:53):
a spiritual plane even though.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
It's here on the earth.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
Okay, So the way, so the way things, the things
was resolved in heaven, we're gonna have to deal and
resolve those things in a similar way here.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
On the earth.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
And let's look at it again. Revelations, chapter twelve and
verse seven. Is it and there was what? What's that
little word there is that it was what war? Where in heaven?
And some people say, well, I just want to go
to hip. Who is those peace? You know that it
is now? But it had and it started off that way.

(11:33):
But there was a that was literally a conflict in
between then and now. And so there is peace in heaven.
But there's a reason that there was peace in heaven.
Peace was is in heaven because there was a battle
fought and that battle was won.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Now you want peace in your life.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
If you don't have peace in your life, there's a
battle being waged.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
There's a battle being fought.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
And if you you want peace in your life, you're
gonna have to win that battle. The devil is not
gonna give up and say, well, I think I upset
her life enough. I think I pestered him enough. I
think I could go on to the next one. No,
what did Jesus said the thief come? But what the
row to steal, to kill and to destroy. The devilin't

(12:23):
gonna let you alone. And some people say, well, if
I just be quiet, maybe the devil won't notice me.
You think so, The Bible says, he walks up and
down to en force.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Seeking whom he may devour. Don't think the devil, don't think.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
The only reason why the devil don't notice you because
he hadn't come across you yet. And tell you something else.
If your light is shining, there should be no way
for him not to come across you, because you're supposed
to be light and he's in darkness and so and
this world is in darkness. Everything where there's light, he

(13:01):
should be able to see you. The rest of them.
He already got him where he want to and doing
whatever it's necessary to keep him there. But that's a
little side again. Verse seven. There was war in heaven.
Now let's see who fought this battle. Do you see God?
Let's see Michael and what his angels, what fought against
who the dragon? When you talking about the dragon, he's

(13:22):
talking about the devil. He fought against the devil, and
what the devil the dragon fought and who his angels?

Speaker 2 (13:35):
So now what did you see? Do you see God?
In the fighting?

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Some of us got the we got the we got
a flawed concept of God and how God does things.
God is not a micromanager. God doesn't go you're doing
it right, You're doing it right. Me and my lovely
bride was out there doing the yards and we were
trying to clean off a patio, and so she was

(14:01):
doing her thing. I came over the area, and uh,
I might get it wrong, but I would say, well,
how about taking the water holes and do it this way?
And she said, she said, something like you done gave
me one instruction, don't give me another one, or something
like that. How she said, and they said, you don't
told me what to do one time, don't tell me again.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
You know.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
I had this cabinet baker and I drew so I
designed a kitchen with a unique cabinet and that sort
of thing. And he was a sharp guy. He's gone
on now, but he was. He was getting ready to
construct this thing, and I was telling him, you know
how to do and whatever.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
He said, did you draw the plans? Yeah? Is the
design right? Yeah? He said, well let me build it.
So that taught me something.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
You know, if you got someone that know what they're doing,
if they you got to make sure they got.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
The instruction, then you let them do it. You don't
have to micromanage. And that's what God does. God isn't
trying to micro manage your life.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
And people say, well, if God is God, how could
he let this war goes on.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
God has already done.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
If you waiting for God to come here and solve
your problem, you got a long way why, because He's
already giving you the capacity to solve your problems and
to solve problems. I know people can take this wrong.
And I'm not saying that you don't need God. Don't
get off on the deep end on me. That's not
what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that God has
empowered you to do what you need to do.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
The Bible says.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Christ in you is your hope of glory. I can
do all things through Christ. That empowers me. That strengthens me.
Now why would God empower you, stringten you, and give
you the capacity to do all things? Then you sit
on your rut while he do the work. Now what
kind of sense does that make? That's not what God does.
And that's what I'm saying. If you don't resist the devil,

(15:50):
the devil will beat you upside the head in more
ways than you can think.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
People will see you, see all these knots on your heads.
What's wrong with him?

Speaker 3 (15:56):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (15:57):
He just was in the fight with the devil, loves
and ruses and what have you.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
So you got to resist the devil, and you acquiesced,
and you just accept everything that the devil throw at you,
You're gonna have a tough roll to hole. Look at
verse eight says there was war in heaven and the
devil in his angel was fighting against Michael and his angels.
And then verse eight says, but the devil, if I
can add a little color in contact here and prevailed,

(16:24):
not neither was their place found anymore in heaven.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
How about that?

Speaker 1 (16:29):
So what it said is that the devil fought against
Michael and the and the angels, and the devil and
his angels were fighting against Michael and the angels of God,
and they was cast out of heaven. And when it
says their place was no was found no more were
to say place. Here is talking about occupancy, a residence,

(16:53):
and a board, their positions. Basically, every role that they
had they lost whatever the purpose that God created them for,
and they was functioning in in heaven, they're no longer
have that capacity. They were cast out and there was
cast out and their place were vacated. And that's why

(17:15):
the Bible says given no place to the devil. And
this is why the devil walks up and down two
and four. Remember Jesus gave the gave the parable an
example about the evil spirit being cast out out of
a man, and he goes into to dry places seeking
rest and finding none. And the reason is they lost
their place in heaven and they have no place in earth.

(17:39):
They're looking for a place to occupy. Man has dominion
over the earth. God has never gave the devil dominion
over the earth.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
He never did, and he never will.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
He has given man the authority and dominion over the earth.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Now, if you, if you acquiescere your little your little.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Bit authority on whatever the corner of God's green earth
is and allow the devil to take it up.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Then the devil definitely would take it up.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Why because he's looking for a place, and he will
leverage your power and your ability in order to do
what he's seeking to do. Look at verse nine, he said,
and the great dragon was cast out. And don't look
at this word great in the context that we have
a tendency to look out great this little work, just

(18:30):
give it a little insight here when he's talking about
great dragon. Here he was talking about his splendor. Lucifer
was a cherubim. He was a glowing one. He had
a lot of splendor. And so he said, this illustorous
one was cast out. He lost a lot when he
was cast out of heaven. That's why he's so upset.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
And so angry.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
And if you think you're gonna pease him, you got
another thought coming. So the great dragon was cast out.
Now he's giving us some insight of this dragon. He
said in a great dragon was cast out. Now the
context that old servant called who the devil? What else
you call him? Satan wished to see who the whole

(19:11):
world he was cast out? Where into the earth, what
else and his angels. What were cast out?

Speaker 2 (19:20):
What with him? Where do you think they went? They
went to earth.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
So you want to play with the devil, devil playing
for keeps. You want to fight him in the flesh.
If he confronted the angels in heaven, Michael the chief Angel,
and you think you're gonna you're gonna deal with him
just in the in the flesh.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Oh, he just he just loved that battle.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
So we gotta understand that the devil is playing for keeps.
But let's go on real quickly. He and his core
hearts was cast down to the earth. Verse then says,
and I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, now
is come what.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Salvation and what strength?

Speaker 1 (20:02):
And the kingdom of our God and the power of
his Christ. Why for the accuser of the brethren is
cast down? Which accused them.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Before our God day and night?

Speaker 1 (20:18):
And then Verse eleven says, and they overcame him by
the what blood of the lamb, and what and by
the word of their testimony and what they love, not
their lives until the death. So now this is the thing, saints.
The devil is the accuser of the brethren. And you know,

(20:39):
just as a luisign. But when you know one of
the ways you can tell whether or not someone is
challenging you, challenging you and they're under the the the
let's just say, influence of the devil. Look at the accusation,
the false accusations. If they're if they're accusing you of
things that you did not do, you know, sometimes they

(21:00):
wouldn't even enter into your heart. And the enemy is
challenging you and accusing you. You know, that's the devil,
and that should tell you if you're gonna deal with that,
you're gonna have to deal with it, not on the
natural but on the spiritual plane.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Because he is a liar. If he told one lie,
don't you think he's gonna tell another one. But that's
a little side.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
I wanted to just throw that in, and so it's
important for us to understand this. So they say they
overcame by the blood of the lamb and the word
of their testimony.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
Now, this is the thing when it comes to this battle.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
If you're gonna win this war, there are a few
things you're gonna have to do, and we just read them.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
The first thing is we must.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Not value anything more than our relationship with the Lord.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
You gotta love, not your life to the death.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
If you value anything more than your relationship with the Lord,
you're gonna play right into the hands of the enemy.
If you're gonna win us, if you're gonna win this war,
you're gonna have to take advantage of the blood of
Jesus Christ. That means you're gonna have to be saved.
You're gonna have to commit your life to the Lord.
If you don't commit your life to the Lord, they're

(22:07):
gonna have you exactly where he wants you.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Why is that important for us? Because if there's someone.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
That you love, you need to make sure that you
live your life around them to the point where they
can see Christ through you.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
And that you're gonna have to witness the people and
motivate people.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
And compel people to come, which is one of the
next things that you're gonna do. If you're gonna win
this battle, If we're gonna win this war, not battle,
but war, you gotta compel others to come to Christ.
And in the church today, believers in the church are
not proselytizing, we're not witnessing, we're not trying to get

(22:45):
people to come into the church. We're not getting them
to come to the Christ, to come to Christ. What
we're doing, we're comparing the luster of the world to
what we perceive as being the dullness of the Church.
And then you're making up their mind for them and
saying that they don't want to come. They're not going
to come to the church because they have more fun

(23:06):
out there in the world. You got to understand, how
does this little saying that says the road to hell
is paid with good intentions and all this other kind
of stuff. The Bible says, broad us the way that
leads into destruction, but narrow is the way that leads
the leads to life. So our choice is whether or
not we're going to lead people into life or whether

(23:30):
we're going to lead them into the allow them to
continue to go into destruction. If you love your family
and friends, you will witness to them, you will give,
you will extend an opportunity to them to accept Christ
as Lord and savior of their lives. If they do
not accept Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives,

(23:51):
not only will they spend an eternality in hell, they
will also not experience the fullness that God has in
store for them here and the earth. In addition to that,
there will be more they literally they will they will.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
Just by them not accepting Christ. Let me just say
it this way, they.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
Will literally become more available to the enemy for him
to use them. If you follow what I'm saying, people
that are outside of Christ are open to the to
the whims of the enemy, and to the challenges of
the enemy, and to be used by the enemy. And
so if we don't begin to literally with a sense

(24:35):
of urgency, begin to extend an opportunity for those that
are around us to accept Christ as Lord and savior
of their of their lives, we not only keep them vulnerable.
Those will be the individuals that we're gonna have to
confront as time goes on, because the enemy will try

(24:55):
to take you out. And if he has to use
your best friend in order to take you out, are
the one that you say you love to take you out?

Speaker 2 (25:02):
He will do that.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Look at the people that are killing their their spouses
and their children and their whole families.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Now do you think all that's bout happenstance? It isn't.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
The thief comes but to rob, to steal, to kill,
and to destroy. But Christ came that we would have
life and have it more abundantly. So you want those
that you love to have abundant life or to rob,
to steal, to kill and destroy. The next thing is
we need to stop taking all of this, all this
petty sin. For granted, we laugh at petty sin these days.

(25:38):
We admire to some extent petty sins. These days how
how people get over one another? And when we said, people,
you don't you don't know what kind of spirit you
are of when you when you take that kind of
approach to it, we should be repulsed by those things,
not lord them. If we're gonna win this war, we
gotta take full advantage of the blood of Jesus. And

(26:00):
you say, when it comes to our lives, we need
to also compel others to come to Christ. And when
they come to Christ, not only do they get a
chance to an opportunity to live a full and complete life,
the life that the Lord has and instill. But the
most important thing is that you take an instrument away.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
From the enemy so that he can't use that individual.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
And let me just say also before I get to
the last one or the third one here, I'm not
saying that you come to Christ and all your problems
will be over. That's not what I'm saying. Because they
that live God in Christ, she's the shall suffer persecution.
Why because just like the devil confronted the angels in heaven,
he will confront you. But you're equipped to deal with it.
So the third one is you can't love yourself more

(26:46):
than you love God. And far too many of us
are in that place. We come to church when we
get read to it, and as a thing a convenient,
we love our way more than we love the things
of God. We love our traditions more than we love
the things of God. We love everything more than we
love God.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
And this is why God is.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Our relationship with God has taken short threat in our lives.
But if you love anything more than you love God,
you have left a gaping hole in your life for
the enemy to just bring his mack truck in there
and just pummelt you in any way that he wants.
So if you're gonna win this, if you're gonna win
this battle, you're gonna have to make sure that you

(27:29):
enter into a relationship with the Lord. And if if
you're gonna enter into a relationship with the Lord.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
You're gonna have.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
To be saved, and once you get saved, it should
not stop there. You need to live your life, and
you need to open your mouth, and you need to
you need to get people.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
To come to Christ.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
And then you need to make sure that there's nothing
that will come between you and your relationship with the Lord.
You love God more than you love anything. You love
him more than you love yourself. You love him more
than you love your children. You love him more than
you love your spouse and your family and what have you.
And I hear people on occasion say, well, you know,

(28:08):
you don't need to put the church or anything else
ahead of your family.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
You don't know what kind of spirit you are. In
addition to that, the mere fact that you put your family.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
Ahead of your relationship with God, it literally illustrates your
ignorance when it comes to the things the way that
the spiritual warfare is going to be fought, because you
have just opened.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Your family up to direct attack of the enemy. Because
in order for the enemy to get to you, he
will come to your family. And so you have placed
your family and that which you love in complete vulnerability because.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
The enemy, in order in order to get to you.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
I guarantee you if he can't get you directly, he
will get to them because you have placed them ahead
of the Lord. And what you need to do is
to make sure everyone in your family have a personal,
intimate relationship.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
With the Lord.
