Speaker 1 (00:00):
There is no redemption for the devil because there's nothing
in him to be redeemed, and this is why we
give no place to him. He is not something that
you play with. He does not love you. He's not
kind to you, he's not good to you. He is
a destructive entity. He is a destructive force. He will
(00:21):
steal from you, he will kill you. He will absolutely
destroy everything that is yours.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
So you don't play with the devil.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
We are.
Speaker 3 (00:49):

and life changing Bible study and on Sunday mornings at

let's feast at the Lord's table. Here's today's message already
in progress.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
What he said way he said on.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Dead ny On.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
We love our way more than we love the things
of God. We love our traditions more than we love
the things of God. Our relationship with God has taken
short threat in our lives. But if you love anything
more than you love God, you have left a gaping
hole in your life for the enemy to just bring
his mack truck in there and just pummeled you in
(02:03):
any way that he wants. So if you're gonna win this,
if you're gonna win this battle, you're gonna have to
make sure that you enter into a relationship with the Lord.
And if if you're gonna enter into a relationship with
the Lord, you're gonna have to be saved. And once
you get saved, it should not stop there. You need
to live your life and you need to open your mouth,
(02:24):
and you need to you need to get people to
come to Christ. And then you need to make sure
that there's nothing that will come between you and your
relationship with the Lord. You love God more than you
love anything. You love him more than you love yourself.
You love him more than you love your children. You
love him more than you love your spouse and your
family and what have you. And I hear people on
(02:46):
occasion and say, well, you know, you don't need to
put the church or anything else ahead of your family,
you don't know what kind.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Of spirit you are.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
In addition to that, the mere fact that you put
your family ahead of your relationationship with God literally illustrates
your ignorance when it comes to the way that the
spiritual warfare is going to be fought, because you have
just opened your family up to direct attack of the enemy.
Because in order for the enemy to get to you,
(03:15):
he will come to your family. And so you have
placed your your family and that which you love in
complete vulnerability because they in order in order to get
to you. I guarantee you, if he can't get you directly,
he will get to them because you have placed them
ahead of the Lord.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
And what you need to do is make sure.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Everyone in your family have a personal, intimate relationship with
the Lord. Let's go into Revelations twelve and twelve, and
it says, therefore, rejoice ye heavens, and ye that dwell
in them, row to the inhabitants of the earth and
of the sea. For the devil is come down unto you,
(03:58):
having what great wrath, Because why he knoweth that he
have but a short time. The devil know that he
doesn't have a long time to do whatever it is
that he's doing, and he's just so wrath. Is anger expressed,
is furious anger expressed. It is a destructive anger, expression
(04:20):
of anger.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
And that's where the devil is.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
And this was saying, you cannot play with the devil
and think that he just that you can just have
a good time with the devil. You just just don't
know who you handling with. And then verse thirteen, it says,
and when the dragon saw that he was casting to
the earth, he did what he persecuted the woman, which
(04:43):
brought forth the manchild. And to the woman were given
two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly
into the wilderness, into her place where she is nourished
for a.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Time and time and a halftime.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
From the face of the servant, that's going, I'm gonna
try to tie a few things together here. And the
servant casts out of his mouth water as a flood
after the woman, that he might cause her to be
carried away of the flood. And the earth did what
(05:24):
helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth and
swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of
her mouth. And the dragon and the dragon was wroth
with the woman and went to make war with the
(05:44):
what remnant of her seed?
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Which do what?
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Which keepeth the commandments of God and have what the
testimony of Christ. Now we're not going to really get
into the the depths of here. We're gonna do a
study on the Book of Revelations. Lord Will and the
creek don't rise too high and don't take too long
to get there. But the thing I want to illustrate
(06:10):
here is that I want you to see the heart
and mind and the singularity of focus of the devil.
And if you think you're going to be quiet and
the devil is just going to ignore you, remember I'm
saying that that you get when you say when, when
you when you witness to your loved ones and they
(06:30):
get saved, you not only bring them up places them
in a position when they can live the best possible
life in this life that they can live, but they
come under under the protection and empowerment of the enemy
so that they can deal with the challenges of the enemy.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
But if you don't do that.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Then he then they're going to become an instrument for
the enemy to use. Here, you see in the scripture
when he couldn't deal with the woman, which means the
one that gave birth. Then he dealt with the offspring,
the one that she gave birth to. And this is
where we come into play. If he can't get Christ,
(07:14):
he tried Christ, and now he's gonna challenge us those
that believe him. Look at this last verse, in verse seventeen.
He said, and the dragon was angry, raw, furious with
the woman and went to make war with the remnant
(07:35):
of her seed, the ones that remained which keep the
commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
So you're talking about those that have accepted Christ as
Lord and savior of their life. And so if you
think you're gonna get saved and then all your problem
is gonna be over, got another thought coming.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
God is gonna.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Equip you to deal with every challenge. And keep in mind,
just like you said in Luke, I believe it's ten.
And then when it says that he has given you
power over all of the power of the devil. God
knew that you were going to be challenged by the devil.
This is why He is giving you the jurisdictional power
and the capabilities to deal with any and everything that
(08:19):
the enemy may threat you.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Let me just say this before we go on.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
This is why it's so important for us to work
together as believers, and for us to see us as
part of the body of Christ and a part of
one another, and not to have all these little separate,
little enclaves and all these little divisions and things like
that among us. We got to begin to work a
lot differently than what we have been doing in the church,
(08:45):
and the way that we approach things. It's gonna have
to change if we're gonna win this war. Now, verse nineteen,
we got just a few more verses to actually just
two more verses. In verse nineteen, look at Revelations nineteen
to nineteen, he says, and I saw the beasts and
the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered together
(09:07):
to make war against him that set on the horse
and against his army. Now you're talking about Christ, and
again you have to read other portions and revelations in
order to get the full contexts.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
But then look at verse twenty.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
It says, and the beasts were taken, and with him
the false prophets that wrought miracles before him with which
he deceived them that received the mark of the beasts,
and them that worship his image, these both was what?
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Now this is the most important verse.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
These both were cast how alive into the lake of fire,
burning with brimstone.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Now real quickly, look at Revelations twenty and ten.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Now here you see the You see the beast and
the false prophet being cast into the lake of fire.
Now the lake of fire is the second death. But
that's Louill's side. Look at verse verse ten of chapter
twenty of the of the Revelation of Johnny says, and
what the devil that deceived them was? What cast in
(10:24):
to the lake of fire and brimstone?
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Where? What the beasts?
Speaker 1 (10:29):
And what and who the false prophets are? So the
false prophets was and the beast was cast in there.
First the devil was bound in the bottomless pit for
a thousand years, then released. Once he got out, he
came doing the same thing that he did before he
was put in the bondage. And sometimes people say, well,
(10:51):
you know, you talk about, you know, having mercy on
the devil, the devil, You're not gonna if you had
mercy on the devil, wouldn't do no good Because the
devil is not going to change. He had a thousand
years of our to think about himself. And when he
got out of that thousand years, guess what, he went
back doing the same thing that he did before he
was put in the bonds. There is no redemption for
(11:13):
the devil. And as as I said before, when I
was newly saved and I wanted everybody to be saved
as the Lord, could you please save the devil?
Speaker 2 (11:22):
And he's just he's the.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Personification of wickedness and evil and what have you. There
is no redemption for the devil because there's nothing in
him to be redeemed. And this is why we give
no place to him. And this is why he is
not something that you play with. He does not love you.
He's not kind to you, he's not good to you.
(11:46):
He is a destructive entity. He is a destructive force.
He will steal from you, he will kill you. He
will absolutely destroy everything that is yours. So you don't
play with the devil. The main reason why I brought
those verses there is that just to illustrate to you.
And again we're not gonna get into the depth of it.
(12:06):
But just like he was destroyed in heaven, his day
is coming here on the earth. And this is why
he's not wasting any time. This is why he's trying
to do whatever he's gonna do, because because he knows
that he is going to be destroyed out of the earth.
He's gonna be put away, and he's gonna go into
(12:26):
an everlasting damnation. See if we can finish this up,
we're talking about choices and what side? Then I illustrate
to you the conflict, that conflict between good and evil,
right and wrong, the things of God and the things
of the enemy.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
What side are you on? The thing?
Speaker 1 (12:45):
You gotta understand, each of us is gonna have to
choose side. We're gonna have to determine whether we're gonna
be good or whether we're gonna be evil. We're gonna
have to determine whether we're gonna be righteous or whether
we're gonna be unrighteous. There is no great area in
this You either are or you're not.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Joshua.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Chapter twenty four and verse fourteen says this now therefore, now,
this is Joshua, Joshua getting ready to move off the scene.
In essence, they begin to possess the promised land. The
tribes have gotten their inheritance. There's some other things that
they're going to have to do, some other people that
are going to have to run out. Joshua is getting
(13:24):
up in age. He died at one hundred and ten
years old. And Joshua's bringing all of the elders of
the children of Israel together and he's you go back
and you read in the preceding verses. You will see
where he reminded them of where God brought them from.
And now he's giving them a choice, just like God
(13:44):
has given us a choice. In verse fourteen, he says, now, therefore,
fear the Lord and serve him. Serve him in sincerity
and truth. Sincerity.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Here is talking about entirety.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Completely, hagerty without blemish, completely, do it fully and perfectly,
do it without spot are blemish. That is what God
expects from us when it comes to service of him
moving into that relationship with him. That's what he expects,
you know why, because anything less than that will survey
(14:20):
your relationship with Him. And for any of us to
say that you can't help us sin, I'm telling you
that is not the that's not.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
What the scripture teaches.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
The Bible says, if you do sin you have an
advocate with the Father. God has made provision for us
to move back into relationship with him if we sin.
But that's different than saying you are going to sin
because you were born in sin, you shaped in iniquity,
you can't help, but sin you can't help. But sin,
(14:51):
sin is a choice. By and large, it is possible
to sin unaware and reality. That's where the main provisions
for redemption comes in. After you accept Christ as Lord
and savior of your life. But again, have no intention
of really getting into that right now. But here Joshua saying,
you gotta serve God in sincerity and in truth. You
(15:15):
got to come to the Lord and you got we
all of us have to serve the Lord according to
his standards, not our standards. And then he begins to
give them some specifics as to how to do this.
The first thing he says, you got to put away
from you to God's which your father served on the
other side of the flood. All that stuff that was
going on in your parents' life and your parents' parents' life,
(15:37):
and all those things that put you at ours against God.
You can't continue to do those things. Then expect to
be pleasing to the Lord. We have case history as
to the things that was displeasing to the Lord. And
it's foolhearted to continue to do those things and think
just because you're covered in grace that God understands and
he's gonna love you anyway. Now you're gonna have to
(15:59):
put a weigh those things. You have the ability to
choose to put away those things. And Joshua is telling
the children of Israel, you gotta put away all those
gods that you that your father's, your father served when
they was on the other side of the blood in
the flood in Egypt, and you gotta put away those things.
And you gotta serve the Lord. I mean, you're talking
(16:20):
about serving the Lord. You're talking about moving into relationship
with him. Look at verse fifteen says and if it
seems evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose to
stay home.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
You're gonna serve. So if it's if it seemed to.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Be a challenge or too hard for you to serve him,
there's no gray area. You gotta choose whether you're gonna
serve the Lord or whether you're gonna serve the devil.
And many of us were trying. We are trying everything
that we can to do them both. It's not gonna
it's not gonna work because God is not gonna accept
one line, one foot in and one foot out of
(16:55):
the kingdom. That's not what he's gonna accept, he says.
He says, I would that you be hot a cold.
But if you looke want, I'm gonna supe you out
of your mouth. That's not what you're gonna do. Have
you ever gone to McDonald's and order and offers someplace
and order some ice coffee?
Speaker 2 (17:11):
What happened?
Speaker 1 (17:11):
If it's hot you said, that's not what I asked for.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Right?
Speaker 1 (17:14):
If you go ask for some hot coffee and if
it's cold, you said, well, I'm gonna drink it anyway.
Some people do. But guess what, Normally you put her away. No,
I want hot coffee, right, because that's the beverage that
served it was the time. It will only serve hot.
Now they give it to your hot and they give
it to your cold. Why because if you like coffee,
said well, and when in the summer time come, maybe
(17:36):
you can have your coffee, just have it cold. But
my point is we're gonna have to choose. We're gonna
have to choose God. Are you gonna choose the devil?
And guess what if you don't choose God, then as
far as you're concern, you've made your choice. And so
we live our lives in a way that's going to
be pleasing to him. Why because we want to maintain
our relationship with him. And then in verse and verse well,
(17:58):
let me just finish reading verse fifteen, he says he
talks about the Egyptians that was on the other side
of the flood. Let me just read this whole thing
in context. It says, and if it seems evil unto
you to serve the Lord, choose you this day, whom
you will serve, Whether the gods which your father served
that were on the other side of the flood, the
(18:21):
gods of the Amorites, and in whose lands ye dwell.
So you're saying, you're moving into this place where God is,
where God has given you as a possession. You don't
want to take up their habits. And how many times
we do the same thing in the church today. As
opposed to us embracing the things of God, we take
(18:42):
on the habits of the world. Were to stay away
from that stuff, that stuff will will separate you from God.
God is not going those stuff, those things, the ways
of the world, is not going to cause us to
come closer to God. It's going to put a wedge
between us in God. So he said, you don't want
(19:02):
to take on those habits, those habits in the land
of these peoples whose lands you dwell, he says, But
as for me and my house, Joshua saying, as for
me in my house, we're gonna serve the Lord. He said,
that's the choice that we've made. Now, have you made
that choice? Whose side are you on? Have you chosen
that you're going that you have? You chosen the Lord?
(19:23):
And as for you and your house, we're gonna serve
the Lord. Have you made that choice? If you're not,
that's where your option lies. In verse sixteen, he goes
on and says, and the people answered and said, God
forbid that we should forsake the Lord to serve other gods.
So you had a generation of people now and said,
(19:44):
you know, we're gonna serve the Lord. And those individuals
that said that, and that generation they did do just that.
They served the Lord, and God prospered them, and they
possessed the land inhabited to land. But when that next
generation came, they turned away from the to and living God.
And the part of the reason for that is that
they didn't do what I believe is studoromedy six told
(20:06):
them to do. Rehearse those things in the in the
in the hearts and minds of their children.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Put it on the lintel and the door.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Post when they go to when they go to bed,
you tell them the stories about what God has done
in your life and how God has delivered you. When
they wake up in the morning, you remind them of
what God has done for you when they when when
they're doing the things day to day, you find opportunities
to to to rehearse within their thinking the ways of
(20:36):
God and the Word of God and the things of God.
How many times that we don't pour the word into
our children, and therefore our children grow up and the
Word is foreign to them. And this is why they
this is why they're they're there. They show away from
the word of God. And when they go to college,
they turn away from the Word of God because we
(20:57):
haven't created a norm in their life. When there was
growing up, we let our children go and play play
outside on Sunday mornings as opposed to sending them to
church and going to Sunday schools. Churches now not having
Sunday schools, and we're not having Bible studies. We don't
have a mechanism for our children to learn about the
things of God. And we wonder why we're going to
(21:18):
get into this place, even in America, when you're gonna
have persecution. And this is why I tell us, as
people of God, we are raising our persecutors because we're
not we're not instilling within our children the things of God.
We don't even call for our children, even for the
church to come pick up our children anymore. Don't We've
(21:38):
gotten so sorry that we don't even pick up the
phone for a ride.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
How are the mighty fallen?
Speaker 1 (21:44):
These things will come back to haunt us because we
have an adversary, the devil, that's constantly going to and
four seeking whom he may devour. And some of us
we don't want to be, We don't want to be
inconvenience with the things of the Lord. We got so
much other stuff that we need to have done. Remember
I was sharing with you earlier. You gotta love God
(22:06):
with everything. You gotta you can't put nothing between you
and your relationship with the Lord. And when you when
all your time, what do you do? Just do a
calendar and put some timelines by and at the end
of the day, at the end of the week, at
the end of the month, at the end of the year.
How much time have you spent on the things of God?
(22:27):
And how much time you spent on your job? How
much time have you spent on your own personal things
and what have you? And then you wonder why your
relationship with the Lord is where it is, or we
wonder why the world is going to hades in a handbasket.
We're quick in the church to complain about what the
world is doing, but we're doing nothing to change it.
(22:47):
Some of us don't even vote to change things. And
then when we do vote, we vote based on political lines,
and we vote the devil in and wonder why the
devil is doing what they're doing when they voted.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
In, because you put them in there to do it.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
We got to filter all of the things that we
are doing through the Word of God, which creates another
problem because many of us don't even know the word,
and we don't even have an appetite for the word,
nor would we even allow ourselves to be fed the word.
Get about force feeding you the word. Sometimes you got
to force feed yourself the word because you don't have a.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
Natural appetite for the word.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
And we want to and then when we do sit
down under the word, we want it on our term.
We want to be exciting. We wanted to be short,
We want to be invited, like you come into a
fast food restaurant. That's not the things of God. No,
if you value the word of God, you'd be just
like the church in Ephesus when Paul was getting ready
to go to Rome or where he was going, and
(23:41):
he's from early that morning until late that evening, he
just stood there and poured into them the word of God.
And they never stopped. They would just like little birds
with their mouth open, ready to receive the word of God.
But now we said, that's boring. You speak, you talk
too long, and nobody listened to you more than ten
or twelve minutes anyway, So why say anything.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Let me just give you a little secret. That's the devil.
The devil don't want you to hear the word. You
sit down for three hours to look at a movie.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
The Titanic was over three hours, and what was the
Avenger uh endgame was right at three hours.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
You didn't even get up for popcorn because because you
wanted to, you wanted to see everything. If you had
to get up, tell me what's wrong? I catch it
on you go and buy. You'll buy the.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
Movie on DVD and on Blu Ray, but you won't
even download a sermon for free. And you want to
wear your appetite lie and you wonder why you're where
you are. You'll watch the price is right and and
let's make a deal, but you won't turn the Christian television.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
You'll look, you'll use the.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
Live scream and we're screaming, hey y'all, but we'll stay
home and and we'll use it to well.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
I'll just I'll just watch the Path to Bend.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
On the on the on the screen the time or two.
You stop doing that, and do me wonder why our
lives are the way that they are.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
Since you're in a battle.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
One Timothy six and twelve says you gotta fight the
good fight of faith, and you gotta lay hold onto
eternal life. And that means you can't let it go.
This is a fight to the death. You can't give
up on this fight.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
Why.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
God has some things in store for you. God has
something in store for you. Our last scripture is Jeremiah
twenty nine and eleven. I wanted all of us to
at least have a glimpse of what God desire for us.
God desire for us to like you were saying. I
came that you you will have life, and that you
(25:42):
would have it more abundantly. Jeremiah twenty nine and eleven says,
For I know the thoughts that I think towards you,
says the Lord, thoughts of peace, not of evil, to
give you and.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
Expect it in.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
God wants you to be full and complete. God doesn't
want us to be constantly in the throes and the
thick of things the way that we are.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
We got to do some things differently, and.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
It's not good enough just for us to do it.
We got to pour into other people so that they
are those that are around us can begin to do
the same things. The reason why Joe became the richest
man during on the earth during his time is because
of not only his relationship with the Lord, but also
his relationship with others. He poured into other people's lives,
(26:30):
and they poured into them into him, and he poured
into other people's lives, and they poured into him. You
know how God blessed him when he got double for
his trouble. Those same people that poured into him poured
back into them. And some of us, once we begin
to prosper in things like that, we are like the
fella in the Bible. We build big build bigger barns
(26:52):
and hoard it onto ourselves as opposed to point it
into the things of God and the ministers of God.
How many times, how many times there was many and
I know I think this for personal benefit anything like this,
but just something to put it in hearing, how many
times we hear there was a time, maybe I should
do it this way.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
There was a time people would would constantly give.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
Love offerings to the ministers and things like that in
order in order for them to have their needs supplied,
because there's a huge sacrifice being in the ministry and
that sort of thing during the days of the Bible.
The reason for the tithe and the offerings is so
that the needs.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Of the church and things like that will be met.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
And nowadays people don't bring their tithe and officers in
the storehouse, and guess what. The same thing happened in
the Bible days. And this is why God challenged them
in Malachi. And the reason for all of that is
because we become so self centered and self focused, and
we want to do things our way. We remove ourselves
from under the covering of God and from under the
(27:51):
blessings of God, and our life began to be pumolted
by the enemy. And we see all this havoc in
our lives, and we don't have the where at all.
The thing that is because we turned away from God,
and in doing so, we exposed ourselves to the enemy,
and we constantly dig that ditch in the wrong way,
(28:13):
and we go further and further away from God. In
order to change that dynamic, you're going to have to
begin to do all of us are going to have
to begin to do the things the way that the
Lord have instructed us to do it. And let me
tell you something else. You may not know. You're not
smarter than God. God knows what he's what he's doing,
he knows what he said and why he said it.
(28:34):
And when we reject the things of God, we're saying
that we're smarter than him? Are you You got to
make a choice, just like Joshua made the choice. You
got to choose this day, whom you're gonna serve. Are
you going to serve all those gods that everybody.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Else is serving? Are you going to serve the true
in living God and do so with all your heart?
Speaker 1 (28:54):
That's the choice that's before us, and that's the choice
that we're going to have to make.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
We're going to have to do it God's way, not
our way.
