Speaker 1 (00:00):
It is not the happenstance that this is going to
take place. And one of the things I have a
tendency to constantly have it before is the opportunity to
spread the gospel, the opportunity to pour into God's people,
and to position ourselves to execute the will, planning purpose
of God. And so regardless to what happened in this year,
(00:23):
the important thing is for us to do just that,
execute the will, plan and purpose of God.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
We are going it's time for Sunday Supper and time
to feast on God's words. Sunday Supper is a ministry

the End Times is a non denominational teaching church which ministry.

and ministry during the times in which we live. Join

(01:11):
and life changing Bible study and on Sunday mornings at
ten thirty am for a weekly church service. But for now,
let's feast at the Lord's table. Here's today's message already
in progress.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
What he said time.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Here I question for the intents, we'd like to welcome
the new year and with service to the Lord, you know,
kind of show showing forth some praise, some worship and
that sort of thing, as well as to receive a word.
One of the things we like to do right at
the beginning of the year is some would give a
theme for the year, and and the themes some would
(01:55):
give us an expectation as to some of the things
that we can expand in the year to come. And
so we're going to do that tonight. And our theme
this year is a year to thrive. Twenty twenty five
will be a year to thrive. And so let's have
a word of prayer. Father, I do think and I
praise you, Lord for everything that have taken place within
(02:18):
the service as far, and for that which is about
to take place. We decrease that you will increase so
that only that which you would have uttered will be uttered.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Lord.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Whither we commit everything that will take place into your hands. Again,
we ask for your perfect and divine will to take place. Father,
help us to have ears to hear in the heart
to receive from you.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Father Again, I thank you, I praise you for it
in Jesus name. Amen.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Our theme for this year and our message is a
year to thrive here in the US. You know, we
just got off this presidential election and so forth, and
there are a lot of people have a lot of
expectations for the next four years in this country. So
the theme that we're giving isn't predicated upon that. It
is something that I'm impressed to share with all of
(03:06):
us concerning the things to come, and for us to
begin to prepare ourselves when you're looking at thriving, to
thrive is to grow and to develop in a vigorous way.
It is to prosper and flourish. It's also to grasp
and to take hold of things. And so this coming
year I'm firmly convinced it is a time for us
(03:28):
to grasp.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
It is the time for us to begin to take hold.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Of some things so that we can begin to see
some things manifested. The unfortunate thing for us many times
when we do things like that, we have a tendency
to do what James said, we consume things upon our flesh.
James said, you have not because you ask not. And
then when you ask, you ask aniss or you ask
(03:54):
strongly that you may consume it upon your flesh. And
a lot of times we fail to see that we
put the flesh at the four, not realizing that when
we do that, it will it will work contrary to
our best interest because the flesh will always yield destruction.
It will always work contrary to our self interests. But
(04:17):
that being said, the most important thing that I want
us to kind of get from the what I'm going
to be sharing with you is that in twoenty and
twenty five is going to be I'm firmly again, I
firmly believe there's going to be a year of great opportunities.
(04:38):
And by any measure I think from anyone, when you
look at the year that we are going to move into,
it's going to be a year of growth and a
year of opportunity. It's going to be a year of
prosperity around the world. I think, almost regardless to where
you might be, I think you're going to begin to
(04:59):
see prosperity and various things take place. It is not
by happenstance that this is going to take place. And
one of the things I have a tendency to constantly
have it before is the opportunity to spread the gospel,
the opportunity to pour into God's people and to position
(05:22):
ourselves to execute the will, plan and purpose of God.
And so regardless to what happened in this year, the
important thing is for us to do just that, execute
the will, plan and purpose of God. And if we
see these times of fullness, this time of growth, this
(05:42):
time of prosperity, it's important that we don't allow ourselves
to become blindsided by the increase, by the accomplishment, and
then we lose sight of the will, plan and purpose
of God. You know, in twenty twenty, when we first
entered into this decade, one of the things that the
(06:05):
Lord shared with me was that twenty twenty, and indeed
the entire decade was going to be a time of revelation.
Twenty twenty in particular, is it was going to be
a time of revealing, a time of revelation. And then
he went on to tell us that this entire decade
was going to be a time of revealing, a time
(06:28):
of revelation. And thus far, I think, by any measure, again,
we should be able to look back on from twenty
twenty all the way up to present twenty twenty four,
and we have seen things that literally befuddly in some ways,
and this kind of flooring eye opening, and so we
(06:50):
have gained insights into things that we just kind of
took for granted. Many of us see our governments in
different different ways. We see our lives, we see our
society see we have seen a lot of changes that
take place in societies, and importantly, we should have seen
(07:10):
the enemy working in various areas. And my hopes is
that because of what we have seen thus far in
this decade, and we're still at the beginning of this decade,
getting ready to move to the center portion of this decade,
and so hopefully we can see a little more clearly
as believers the works of the Enemy, how he's working
(07:32):
in the natural to accomplish and disrupt things in the
spiritual realm. We as people of God beyond anyone else
in this life, got to begin to see the things
that we see and experience through the eyes and the
minds of the spirit as opposed to the flesh.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
And it seems as if the Church have gotten too.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Far away from seeing those things that are of the spirit.
I'm not talking about being spiritual and all these things
that we have a tendency to do, but we got
to begin to see things on that spiritual realm, that
spiritual level, so we can know how to operate here
in the natural and how to affect change here in
(08:14):
the natural. So as we continue to go through this decade,
we're going to begin and continue to see things more clearly.
Things are just going to unwrap themselves if we have
eyes to see and ears to hear. Just like Jesus
was saying in Matthew thirteen, he that have ears to hear,
let him hear what the spirit says, and to the churches.
(08:37):
And that's what we're going to have to do as
people of God. Again, we are seeing these things, and
we're going to see these things in fold.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Now that's important for us because.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
As we begin to see the gains, the prosperity and
so forth that's going to take place in this year. Again,
let's not become blindsided. And at the same time, let's
not put our heads in the ground and just blind
ourselves to the things that.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Should become a little more obvious to us.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
The prosperity, the things that we will see take place
in this coming year would be somewhat.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
With a two ay swords, so to speak.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
It's going to be blessings and all that sort of stuff,
but it's going to lead to something else, and so
it's an opportunity for us to begin to prepare for
that which is to come. And so this is the
time of provision for us. In twenty twenty five, I
think it's going to be a time unprecedented thriving.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
And again that period of seeing just great accomplishment.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
You will probably see technologies and a lot of things
take place, and there be opportunities for growth and so
many other things. And so is again I know I'm
being a little redundant to some extent, somewhat ramming a
little bit, but I want us to understand that you
(10:11):
don't want to become blindsided by the excitement and all
of these things that's going to be taking place.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
There's one time in human.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
History, and this is what I'm going to share with
you in the word that there's one time in human
history that I think will compare to this year that
we're going in and a portion of the remainder of
this decade that we're going in, and it's found in Genesis.
Actually Genesis chapter forty and forty one. You again to
(10:43):
kind of see this picture when Joseph, if you recall,
Joseph was probably around seventeen years old, and really even
before he was seventeen, he began to share some of
the dreams and the visions that God has given him
and concerning how the sun and the stars, the moon
or all that is going to bow down to him
or whatever. And what God was showing Joseph is that
(11:04):
he was going to bring him to a place of destiny,
a place of authority. Obviously, his brothers didn't like the dreams,
and I always said, you know, they got upset and
made because of his dreams. And unfortunately, many times when
you share your dreams and the inspirations that God gives
you a lot of times for whatever the reason, it's
(11:26):
just the enemy the people, we become upset with you,
and they they will always say kind of poo poo
your dreams and so. But the important thing for the
dreamer is to hold fast to the dream. And one
other thing is that you don't have to make it
come true. You don't have to make it happen. If
(11:47):
it's of God, it's going to manifest itself, just as
it did in Joseph's life. And so Joseph's brothers put
him in the pit after doing a whole lot of things,
and they work it was going to kill him, but
the hand of God was on him. Instead of killing,
they sold him into slavery. And selling him into slavery
(12:08):
was getting him closer to his place of destiny. And
the thing that we have to understand is that many
of the things that transpiring our lives, the things that
happen in our lives, a lot of those things are
things that are getting us closer to destiny. And those
things that are are things that God is leveraging in
(12:29):
order to get us closer to our place of destiny.
And so don't allow yourself to become discouraged just because
things don't go the way that you expect them to
go with they're not happening in according to the way
that you want them to happen.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
You got to trust God for it.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
You got to trust him through the thick, the thin
and everything, through the good, the bad, and what have you.
Even when things are good, you can't allow those things
to distract you or get you sidetracked and so forth.
Just like Joseph, Joseph stayed on course, he stayed in
the plan of God. He didn't allow sin or anything
(13:07):
else to get him off track.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
And unfortunately, many of.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
Us as believers, we allow sin and we allow again
the cares of this world and the lust.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
Of the flesh to get us off track.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
And one of the big challenge for us today is
to allow is that we allow. Too many Christians allow
self to supplant the will, planning purpose of God. We
allow those things that are at hand, those things that
we're facing, to dictate the directions that our lives take
and what we do and what we don't do, as
(13:41):
if God.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
Is going to understand whatever it is that we're doing.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
One of the things I'm convinced of, and one of
the things that I want to share with you, is
that and this is going to sound strange, but I
want you to hear me out.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Instead of viewing God and approaching.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
God as God, one of the things that we need
to do is begin to approach God as King. The
thing about approaching God as God is that, especially in
our times and in time passed and all of human history,
when it comes to God, we treat the one and only,
true and living God.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Just like the Pagans treat a pagan God.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
In essence, we make God who and what we want
him to be. And that's the wrong way to take it,
because God is just as real as you are, and
that I am and obviously has all authority and what
have you.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
But the thing that the Church have done is gotten.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Away from that kingdom approach and the kingdom mentality. And
when you approach God as king, then you're going to
approach him in a much different way than what we
are doing now. And the way that we are approaching
God now is going to have to change because we
are approaching him in a religious and a religious bind
(14:55):
or from a religious spent.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
And what we're doing we are.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Morphing in Christianity, and we are morphing the things of
God into something of our making and not according to
the will, planning purpose of God.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
And this is why we are incorporating things.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
That are contrary to scripture in the church, as if
we have the authority to do that, and you don't,
none of us do. We are to live our lives
according to the according to.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
The Word of God.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
And if if see, God is not going to contradict himself,
because it can't, it's literally impossibility. But that's a little
sign when we see the things in scripture and then
we supplant them to modern views and so forth. Then
we got to understand if God didn't license certain things,
(15:46):
then is not allowed.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
It's not something that we do.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
That's we don't have the authority to supplant the will,
the plan, or the purposes of God. God's will is
final now, and if we don't agree with it, then
you have the ability to go before the Lord. But
if you can change his heart in your mind, you
(16:09):
go for it. But I think that the word and
all that has been around long enough for all if
there was if there was anything work to be worked out,
it would have been worked out by now. Obviously that
is not the case because God's word is infallible. But
again that's a little of side. But my main point
in saying all of that, he is the king of kings,
(16:32):
He's the Lord of Lord. If we approach him as
as king, then our whole approach to God will be different.
But that's a little aside. We're going to go to
the Book of Genesis. In chapter We're going to look
at chapter forty one. We're going to see some insights
and I'm going to try to give you some insights
as to how we can prepare ourselves.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
For the times to come. It's going to be some
great times.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
It's going to be some times that people will love,
that they will enjoy what have you.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
The way that we approach this is going to be key.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
Keeping in mind that when you see these times of fullness,
there's times of growth and so forth. It's a time
that you can consume things you know, upon the flesh
and what have you. But you're going to always and
you should always put some things aside, prepare for those
times that are yet to come, because nothing is permanent.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Again, the things that are seeing there temporary.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
And so if we're wise, then we will prepare for
those things that are to come. We prepare for what's
at hand. We enjoy the fruits of our labor and
so forth. But you, if you're wise, you're going to
prepare for that which is to come. And a part
of what we want to share with you is the
importance of preparing for that which it's come. Hey be
(17:50):
prepared for the for the growth, for the growth, the prosperity,
for all of those things, but also prepare for that
for what.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
Will will come afterwards.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
But anyway, Genesis chapter forty one we want to look at.
We're actually going to look at the entire chapter. We're
not going to read every verse, but in your reading,
I want you to go back and read chapter forty
as well as chapter forty one in order to get
the full tenor of what we're going to be sharing
with you. And if you want to go beyond that,
(18:21):
you can do that also. So Genesis chapter forty one,
and beginning with verse one, it says, and it came
to pass at the end of two.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
Full years that Pharaoh dreamed and behold he stood by
the river.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
Now, this is one of the things that I want
us to see and understand as I continue to read this.
It is God that elevates us. A lot of times
we try to elevate ourselves, and this year that we
are moving into, there's going to be a lot of
opportunities for elevation. Allow God to elevate you and not you.
You elevate yourself, and you're going to see things will
(19:02):
go a whole lot better for you if you allow
yourself to be elevated by God as opposed to you
elevating yourself.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
Let's look at verse two.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
And behold, there came up out of the river seven
well favored kN and when that word kN means cows
are cattle and fat fleshed with me there was plump,
and they fed by a metal Verse three, and behold
seven other king came up after them out of the river,
(19:31):
ill favored and lean fleshed, and stood by the other
can up on the brink of the river, by the
river bank. And the ill favored and lean fleshed kN
did eat up the seven well favored and fat can.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
So Pharaoh woke.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
Now Pharaoh's having this green, this dream, and he see
these cows coming, you know, that's by the river. And
they come up out of the water, and there seven
of them come up. They're fat, and then seven come
up there lean, and then all of a sudden, the
lean one ate up the fat ones. So Pharaoh woke up,
and then guess what happened. He went back to sleep
and had another dream. Look at verse five, and he
(20:10):
slept and dreamed the second time, and behold, seven years
of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good,
and behold seven thin ears and blasted with the east
wind sprung up after them, and the seventh thin ears
(20:30):
devoured the seven rank and full ears, and Pharaoh woke
and behold it was a dream, and it came to
pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled. He
sent and called for all the musicians of Egypt and
all the wise men thereof, and Pharaoh told them his dream.
(20:54):
But there was none that could interpret them. Unto Pharaoh,
this is the thing that we have to understand. The
Lord has placed a gift within all of us. Again,
you heart me share with people many times that a
lot of times we want to know how we're going
(21:14):
to find our call, our destiny, how we're going to
move into it. The thing I tried to impose and
press upon people is that God knows how to bring
you to the place that you have to be. The
only thing we have to do is make sure that
we're living our lives and that we're walking in agreement
with Him. If we are not rebelling against God, then
(21:36):
the Lord is going to bring us to that place
that He has destined us us to be. So the
Lord has and the way that he does this is the
Lord put a gift and a gifting in us, and
is our gift that's going to open up the doors
that need to be open when they need to be open.
The destiny of God will lead us to the place
(21:58):
when the people that we need to come in contact
with the doors that we need to go through. Everything
is going to work out, however, God determines to get.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Them there, just like he did with Joseph.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Now, every place that he led Joseph wasn't a desirable place.
Imagine that pitt wasn't desirable, and I imagine being sold
into slavery wasn't desirable.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
And you constantly you saw Joseph.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
He operated and operated with all his vigor while he
was in slavery, and he was trying to get out
of slavery because he didn't want to be in slavery,
because he wasn't supposed.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
To be in a slavery.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
But my point is, all through that process you will
see where Joseph's giftings. He had the gift of administration,
he had the gift of interpreting dreams and a lot
of different things. And at the proper time, those gifts
elevated him and brought him to the next place, in
the next place, in the next place. His gift and
(22:57):
his righteousness is what got him to his place of destiny.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
And Proverbs eighteen and sixteen.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
It says, a man's gift maketh room for him and
bringeth him before great men's. And so what we have
to do and understand as people of God, it is
God knows how to get us to the place that
He would have us to be. By and large, it
is the gifting that God has placed within us that's
going to get us to our place of destiny.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
Let's look at verse nine. Remember Proverbs eighteen and sixteen.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
A man's gift is what makes room for him, and
that gift is going to bring him.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
Before great men.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
If you look back on your life, you'll see is
your gifting, if you execute them, will bring you to
the place that you need to be. And I've seen
this in my life when it comes to utilizing my gift.
And what happens is that just utilizing your gift, you
don't have to thrust.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
Upon anyone or whatever. Just use it like you normally do.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
That's what we do with our guess we play with them,
we utilize them, we leverage them and whatever. Then someone
will see that utilization and then all of a sudden
they are someone else that they know will cost you
to borrow your gift, and if they borrow your gift,
that means they're gonna borrow you and so forth.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
So my point is, don't be afraid to use your gift.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Don't be afraid to allow your gift to be leveraged.
What we do in our day is that we try
to cover our gift. We get tired of utilizing our gift,
not realizing that when we do that, we're playing into
the hand of the enemy. Use your gift and use
it fully, use it completely, and leave the rest of
it up to God, and the Lord will bring you
to the place that you have to be.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
Let's look at verse nine.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Verse nine says, then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying,
I do remember my fault this day. You see, when
the butler was in prison, he came across Joseph. Joseph
interpreted his dream and he interpreted the baker's dream. Also,
he told the baker he was going to be, you know,
beheaded in three days. He told the butler that you're
(25:00):
gonna go back and you're gonna bring bring the cup
to the king, which was Pharaoh.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
In three days.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Both happened, and so Joseph asked the Butler, Hey, when
you go back, be sure and remember me and what
he did. Forgot about him for two years, and a
lot of times when that happened in our lives, we
get upset and angry because people forgot about us. Always know,
there's a time and there's a season for everything. It
(25:27):
wasn't time for Joseph to get out of the prison.
It wasn't time.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
For Joseph's gifting to come to the forefront.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Literally, it was years from the time that you know
well in distances, it's two years from the time that
he interpreted the dream until the time he was called
into the manifestation. A lot of times, through our impatience
we end up getting ahead of God. The Bible says,
impatience possessing your souls, and so it is through the
(25:58):
patient of our gifting. But more importantly, or equally as important,
is our continuous righteous living that's going to bring us
to the place that we have to be.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
Now, let's go on. We're going to skip down to
verse twelve.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
So again, filling the blanks yourself in by reading the
scriptures in your own own on reading times. Now look
at verse twelve, and there was there with him a
young man a Hebrew. Now, so this butler is telling
Pharaoh his story of something that happened a couple.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
Of years earlier.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
He had to convince Pharaoh to let Joseph out of
prison in order for Pharaohs to have his dreams. Interpret
it again, the scripture says, your gift will make room
for you. You don't have to make room for the gift.
The gift will make room for you. Far too often
because we approach things in the flesh, we try to
(26:54):
make room for the gift.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
You got it backwards.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
When you try to make room for the gift, you're
going to be operating in the flesh.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
The gift. It is the gift that makes room for you.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
Again, so this butler is telling Pharaoh about his experience
in prison. Let's we just read it real quickly. And
there was there with us, a young man, a servant
to the captain of the guard. And we told him,
and he interpreted us our dream to each man according
to his dream. He did interpret and it came to
(27:28):
pass as he interpreted to us. So it was me
he restored into mine office, and him he hung in
essence what he was telling Pharaoh that he said that
I was going to be brought back to the office,
and he did, and he told the baker he was
going to be hung. And he was then in verse fourteen,
Pharaoh's son and called and called Joseph, and they brought
(27:51):
him hastily out of the dungeon, and he shaved himself
and changed his raiment and came into Pharaoh. And Pharaoh said,
unto Joseph, I have dreamed of dream, and there is
none that can interpret it. And I have heard say
of thee that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.
And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying it is not in me.
(28:12):
God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace. And Pharaoh said,
unto Joseph, in my dream, And then Pharaoh began to
share his dream with Joseph. We're going to skip down
to verse twenty five. The thing that we got to
understand is that much of what we deal with in
life as believers, if you're a person of destiny, you
(28:33):
got to understand that this is a God thing. Everything
that was taking place in Joseph's life was a God thing.
Things were unfolding according to the will, plan, and purpose
of God. That is not to say that everything was
orchestrated by God. But God leveraged the things that was
taking place in order to accomplish his will, plan and
purpose not only for Joseph's life, but also to execute
(28:57):
his plan of destiny.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
And the same thing holds true when coaster our lives.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
