Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jesus told the disciples in the Garden of Gsemite, stay,
then pray while he went a little bit further and prayed.
He did that, he came back. They were sleeping. He
shook and walked him up. Said, I thought I told
you how to pray. He said, oh, well, yeah, we're
gonna We're gonna pray. We pray. He left and they
went right back to sleep, and he came back again.
Y'all supposed to be praying, go back to sleep. And
(00:20):
then came back. He said, sleep on, because what happens
now is the time of the challenge you didn't prepare.
(00:46):
We are going.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
It's time for Sunday Supper and time to feast on
God's words. Sunday Supper is a ministry of christ Church
for the End Times. Christ Church for the End Times
is a non denominational teaching church ministry. Our mission is
to help prepare God's people for life and ministry during
the times in which we live. Join us on Wednesdays
at six thirty pm for a dynamic, practical, engaging, and
(01:11):
life changing Bible study and on Sunday mornings at ten
thirty am for a weekly church service. But for now
let's feast at the Lord's table. Here's today's message already
in progress.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Don't get what he said. It's the way he said
on your life. You've gotta prioritize. Sometimes you do things
because you just have to do it. You're gonna have
to manage your life. You're gonna have to manage some
of those things, and you just can't do it based
on how you feel. Because if you if you deal
with things based on your feelings, you're going to be
(01:44):
in a heap big trouble. You're gonna be a lot
of trouble. The devil operate in the realm of the feelings,
not in the realm of the spirit. Is like Jesus
told the disciples in the garden of Guessemite, or with
one of the things he said, because I doubt if
they heard him, because he told him to. He told
him to stay there and pray while he went a
little bit further and prayed. He did that. He came back,
(02:06):
there were sleeping. He shook and walk him up, said,
I thought, I told you how to pray. He said, oh, well,
we're gonna we're gonna pray. We pray. He left and
they went right back to sleep, and he came back again.
Y'all supposed to be praying go back to sleep, then
came back. He said, sleep on because what happens now
(02:29):
is the time of the challenge you didn't prepare. Sometimes
the preparation you need is prayer. Can I give you
another little titbit. One of the prayers that I pray
is I prayed that the Lord will prosper those that
will be a blessing to me. And the Bible actually
say this. This is why Jesus said, make friends with
(02:51):
the unrighteous man and those that are in the world.
Jesus said, the forge and develop relationships with them, because
if the time comes when you're when you are brought
and going to paraphrase a bit, you're brought into a
place in a situation where you got to deal with something.
(03:12):
Because those individuals know you, you developed that relationship with you,
a lot of times they'll help you to go through
it easier. Sometimes they will they will pull screens so
you won't have to deal with it at all. I
think it was I think it was Martin Neimoler of
one of the ones. And during the time when Hitler
(03:34):
came came into power and consolidated his power, and he
leveraged a lot of people in order to consolidate that power.
I think it was nimolar, but I could be wrong
on that. He believed Hitler, and all of a sudden
he found out that Hitler was lying to him. A
(03:55):
lot of us, especially as African American and America, now
you believe in these Democratic leaders are gonna be just
honest with you. They're lying to you. And the same
thing holds you on the Republican side because a lot
of those individuals are just lying to you. They'll say
a whole lot of stuff in order to get your vote,
and they'll play one part of political party against the
(04:17):
other in order to get your vote because they want
to maintain their base. And then once they get into
power for another two and six years, they forget they
even ask for your vote. They do their own thing.
They go make their little deals with their cronies, and
you're struggling and they're leverage. They'll leverage you. You wonder
why you're constantly working, You can't get ahead. You like
(04:39):
you never have enough money, and you look at everything
goes up. You talk about inflation, and you never ask
a question why and you think, and they do it
in such a way that they think other They have
you pointing the fingers that of someone else when they're
doing it themselves to you. And if you continue to
(05:01):
vote for these rascals, you're gonna get the same thing.
In America. One of the one of the best things
to happen would be a third party, but that's not
gonna happen anytime soon because then they don't put things
in place when it's it's almost it's not an impossibility.
But right now, you get a third party candidate, you're
(05:21):
gonna get the worst of the evil. And right now,
I know you don't want me to say it, but
I'm gonna tell you straight up, the Democrat Party is
the worst of the evils. They've been taken over by
the devil. I know you don't want me to say it,
but I'm gonna tell you vote the way you want
to vote. Right just look at your license. They came
into power and correlate the thing triangulate, go back to
(05:47):
look at you're facing transgender issues right now, right when
they're the start, not through not through the Trump administration,
but through Obama administration. And they knew as extra constitution,
which means is not constitutionals, but what they do do
executive decisions and then tell the schools if you want
(06:10):
if you want our money, then you gotta do this.
So they circumvent the law. They supposed to be the
law makers, and they're the law breakers, and they want
you to follow it. Why they do what they want
to do, And you gotta as Americans, you gotta plant
your feet and say no. If it's wrong for me
(06:32):
to lie to the police, it should be wrong for
the police to lie to me. If it's wrong for
me to steal, it should be wrong for you to steal.
And you don't go in and send the country into
that and literally saddle generations to come with that they
may never be able to pay while you're totally undermining this,
(06:56):
this culture and the society. Peace, health and safety one
of the highest premise of government. And you let anything
come across the border. You don't know whether they're bringing
sickness and disease, you don't know whether they're tarishment, whatever,
and you don't want nobody to say anything about it.
(07:16):
You're wrong. And if you're voting for people that have
that kind of positions, you're empowering them, and you're one
with them because you have moved yourself into agreement with them.
So the Republicans Party may not be the best thing going,
(07:39):
but be honest with you, that's the only thing we got.
So vote for whoever you want to vote for. My
job is to cry loud, spare or not give you
the truth. And one last thing I say, and I'm
going to go on to that, and you better vote.
(08:00):
That'd be kind of harsh. Send you better vote. It
is advisable for you to register to vote and to vote,
and not to vote for Democrats. I know, for the
poor pit they advise people. Pastor, you don't want to
talk about Democrats and Republicans because you got Democrats and
you got Republicans in your congregation. You don't want to.
(08:23):
You don't want to offend people. And that's why your
church don't grow anyway. Could you talk about it? Could
you get into too much politics? To which I say,
you do? You say, I'm not gonna have to answer
to you. I'm gonna have to answer to the one
and only, true and living God. I can deal with
(08:46):
you getting upset with me. I can deal with you
not coming to church because I'm gonna tell you, in
these thirty or however many years we've had in this ministry,
I've had to stand behind the poor pit and preach
to myself, well me and the Angel, because my commitment
is to do what God has called them to do.
You look at and we were gonna really got to that,
(09:07):
but we were gonna share some share with you about
individuals throughout history. It's because of your heart, you claim.
You got to ask you. Have you and your heart
committed to the Lord? I submit to you many of
us haven't. You're too much. You're too much at the
foe in order for your heart to be totally committed
to the Lord. Anything that I say that you don't like,
(09:30):
you automatically shove it aside. And I can assure you
me as in the position that I'm in, I can
assure you I'm not trying to get nothing from no one.
It doesn't matter to me how much money is in
your pocket, whether you will give or I'm not concerned
(09:50):
about that. It doesn't matter to me what kind of
political affiliation you have, whether you're Republicans, whether you're a Democrat,
whether you're independent, whether you're a Green Party or any
of the this other kind of stuff. It really doesn't
matter to me, not when it comes to the gospel,
not when it comes to sharing with you what I'm
convinced the Lord has shared with me. It really doesn't matter.
(10:12):
And whether you accept what I'm saying or not, it
really it's not that it doesn't matter, but it doesn't
matter enough for me not to say certain things. And
I can assure you they're ministers in the pool pit
that you're sitting out. I'm not just talking about these
that are here about this. Just what we're sharing will
go all the where around the world, and then it
(10:32):
goes all along radio stations and a lot of medias
and so forth. And it's because of you few people
here and those that are beyond my voice that contribute
to this ministry that we are able to do that.
And I do it. And no, you don't have to
You don't have to worry about me, h stuff in
my pockets with the church's money. I need to just kidding. No,
(11:04):
the pastor's pastors should be paid. Pastors should not be
working in out in the in the world. They should
be standing before, getting before the Lord, getting the word
for the people. Right. That should be their primary responsibility
and the and that's and this is why you bring
your tithes in your office into the storehouse. And some
(11:28):
some of indications are it's probably less than five percent.
I'm gonna say less than twenty percent. Maybe that's just
go less than thirty percent of the people. Maybe I
don't know, but some of these folks that does these things,
let me just say it this way, that can be
certain of compared to the people that's in the church,
very few people bring their tithes in the office into
(11:49):
the storehouse. And the part of the reason for that
is that their heart's not in the right place. And
the one of the main reasons they think their money
is theirs. I work for this. That's where you where
you're your first mistake win because it is the Lord
that gives you the power to get wealth. It's not
just because you smart and you got your degree and
(12:11):
you working here and how long you've been working or whatever. No,
you're a thief. You're not a thief. You're a robber.
You stand right before God and you say you're gonna
do whatever it is with your money. No, you stole
his money. No, you didn't steal his money. You rob God.
You put a gun to his faith and you saying
is mine, and I'm gonna do what I want to
(12:32):
do with it. Now. This is the Holy girlt speaker.
I'm just telling you because because with me, I'm when
I when the Lord birthed this ministry in my heart
and I went to a hotel room and for the
Lord to speak to my heart concerning the men is
(12:53):
one of the things Me and God had a discussion
about what's offerings in time, and I saw in a
lot of church just when they take a whole hour,
they take more time taking up and offering than they
do giving the word. And I know the church need
money in order for it to exist. God knows the
church needs money in order to exist. But if you
(13:14):
tell us you are not beggars, IM not gonna beg
you to give. If you want to give, give, if
you don't, don't, that's between you and God. I'm not
trying to pull a gift guilt trip on anyone. I'm
just giving you the truth. That's between you and God.
Whether you give or whether you don't, I can know
every penny that you make, and really it will not
(13:36):
tarnish my decisions. When it comes to you, I'm gonna
love you whether you give or not. Really, i'm gonna
love you to say, it really doesn't matter. I'm gonna
love you whether you come to church or not. I'm
gonna love you to say. You see, when you really
love someone, you deal with that person beyond their relationships.
(13:56):
I'm when I'm saying, their relationship beyond how they're treating
you and how they're doing all this other kind of stuff.
We're going back to raising your children, your children. If
you're a parent, you got a child, you don't like
everything your child does. Your children frustrates you, so you
stop loving them every time they're in the frustration mode.
(14:19):
Or do you love them through the frustration mode? You
love them through the frustration mode. Right, It's the same
way when it comes to God in us. The Bible says,
when we was yet with our strength, God literally gave
his son to die for you. And you talk about love,
your thumbing, your thumbs and whatever at God you serving
(14:41):
pegging gods, you're doing all kinds of weird, wracking, crazy stuff.
Then God still love you so much that he gave
his only, his only begotten son, so that you can
have an opportunity at life. And even after that, some
of us still said, heck with you. So having said that,
I'm gonna love you regardless of what you're doing, what
(15:03):
you don't do, you know, I'm not totally oblivious to
what some people say about me or whatever. But as
a believer, you can't. You can't allow what people say
to determine how you're going to or whether or not
you're going to do what God told you to do.
(15:24):
You got to be willing to go at it alone.
And the only way you're going to do that is
to have a heart to do so when Noor was
on the plane, think about this. When Noor was on
the earth and the whole world was abhorrent to the
point when God said, I'm going to have to get
rid of them all. Can you imagine this? And some
(15:46):
people said that that there was somewhere between six and
seven or more billion people on the planet, and out
of all those people, one person God was able to
see something because of his heart. In spite of how
people treated Nor, Nor treated people right, treated people in righteousness,
(16:09):
and God found grace in the eyes for Nor. You're
gonna find that In the sixth chapter of Genesis, verse
eight is the one that I've just quoted. People talk
about Abraham, and we talked about faith and whatever. You
wouldn't have your attitude and your approach concerning faith if
it wasn't for faithful Abraham. Abraham had a heart of
(16:30):
faith that was revealed through trust in God. Even James
quoted something and James two and twenty three James acknowledged
that and says and the scriptures was fulfilled which said
Abraham what he believed God, and it was imputed unto
him for righteousness, and he was called the friend of God.
(16:51):
How would you like to be called the friend of God?
Abraham believed God and that forced a relationship between him
and Gods where that Abraham might have been an adultra
an idle worshiper, but when he heard God, when God
spoke to him and told him to leave his kinfolks
and go to a place that he was going to
(17:12):
show him whatever. Can you imagine God telling you go
do something and then God don't give you all the details.
When God speaks to us. We want God to give
us every little line. We want God to give us
a spreadsheet with a graph showing exactly where I'm going
to end up when I'm going to go through through
all of this, God said, go Abraham went. He waited
over twenty five years after God promised him a child,
(17:36):
to get a child, and then when he got that child, God,
God told him to sacrifice that child. And Abraham and
change your word went up there, went to Mount Maria
whatever and was going to sacrifice literally going to kill
that child. Why was he willing to do that because
of his relationship with God. See, before you get into
a situation like that and have those kind of responds,
(17:57):
your heart has to be geared toward that. If Abraham
didn't have a heart for God, he wouldn't have made
that choice. He wouldn't have done what God told him
to do. And the reason why some of us are
struggling with obedience to God and sin and all that
is because your heart is not there. Your heart is
not weted to God when you were you See, self
(18:20):
is still at the four in your life. I know
you say that it's not, but you would be making
different choices and your approach to life will be different
if self wasn't so much to the fore and the
reason why we're having so many challenges in our lives
is because self is at the foe. You have to
draw self back a little bit because self is out
(18:40):
of balance. When the scripture says you love God with
all your heart, that's what it means. It doesn't mean
on your terms and when you feel like it and
what have you. When Abraham was going to sacrifice his son,
thine only son Isaac, when he was ready to do that,
and God gave me this ramaa bush, and he said,
now I know, And we said, now I know. It's
(19:01):
not that God didn't know, but now Abraham knows, and
everybody else know where Abraham's heart is. Now, what if
you was in the same position, would you take the
same approach I submit to you most of us would not.
And the reason I say that because you can't even
you can't even deal with the things that you deal
with now in the favor of God. You put all
(19:22):
your needs above God. Again, not trying to beat a
dead horse or anything like that. But that's why some
of us are not free givers. We don't The Bible
says freely to give freely received. We don't give freely.
We give with restraints. We give the very least and
what have you. Let me give you another example of this.
You got to believe the word in order to apply
(19:43):
the word to your life. And the reason why many
of us find it difficult to apply to word is
because we really don't believe the word. And the reason
why you don't believe the word is because you really
don't believe God, because God is one with his word.
The reason why you have issues with love is because
of the issue with your relationship. It was a heart thing.
Your heart isn't right before God. And I'm being somewhat
(20:06):
blunt and saying that because it's better for you to
find that out now than to stand before God and
then realize when it's too late that you didn't get
it right. So if you can get it right now,
you won't have to worry about eternality. And so if
your heart was where it needs to be, you wouldn't
(20:27):
have a problem giving to the Lord and whatever even was,
even if it was your last And one of the
things that was I was about to say when my
bride and I, when we was me, I was a guy,
I was okay just living with a roommate. But you
can't live with a roommate. And then a wife, and
so I got an apartment. And I was okay, just
(20:48):
living in an apartment by myself. I'm okay, But then
you get a wife, and then you get a wife. Oh,
miss Bennett, she's ready to live in that apartment or whatever.
If I was under tree, she was ready to be
right there under the street. But then she said, I
want a house. And why was she want a house.
I was born in a project. I was used to
(21:12):
apartment living. But miss Bennett, she rose up. She was
raised up with a dad and a mom, and her
dad built her a home. Daniel Wilson Senior had his
family in a house that was his. He built that.
She was accustomed to that. I was accustomed to moving
(21:34):
the every month. That's why I do not like to
move now. And my mom was half what she called
her antiques. And them things had legs bigger than my body,
and them this little skin of little rascal. Having to
move those things around. I said, Lord, don't let us move.
Not what I didn't even know the lord at that time.
I used to man, we gotta move again every thirty days,
(21:58):
forty five days, or sixty days when the rent come due,
and you couldn't put it off for another month. You
had to find someplace else. I'm serious, cause you gotta
do what you gotta do. Mamam had a lot of children,
and that was before they had all this public assistance
and housing authorities and all that kind of stuff. So
you gotta understand someone made some sacrifices in order for
(22:21):
us to enjoy some of the things that we enjoyed today,
and so you gotta do what you gotta do. And
she made a lot of sacrifices in order to put
food on her children's table. And sometimes the food wasn't
the stuff that you wanted to eat, but you had
to eat it to keep from starving. And you used
(22:42):
to be thankful for Sunday, not because of its time
to go to church, because that's when you had the
best meal. So every thirty to forty five to sixty
days we was moving, man, and my mom just had
a bunch of stuff. And you had to I guess
you had to have a bunch of stuff to have
him if you had a bunch of children. Don't ask
(23:06):
me how I got it. Somebody needed that. But Sames,
when when you say Abraham became the friend of God,
it wasn't just because Abraham was doing things on his terms.
Let me just say this also, some of us sometimes
we look at God as being this big, old, awesome thing,
and you gat he's gonna squash us like a bug
(23:26):
and what have you. You gotta understand that's not the relationship
that God wants to have with you. If God wanted
that kind of relationship, he would first he would have
made you differently. The next thing, he didn't have to
make you at all because he had angels to do
all that. And I tell people physiciously so, but it's
really true. He wanted someone that could argue with him.
(23:46):
And you've got all of God's creation. Guess what. The
only one that could really something and argue with God
is who the one that God created in his imission
after his likeness. In order for that to happen, you
had to be able to argue and differ with him.
That's what man does. The trade off with all of
that is that God can have a relationship with us
(24:07):
that he can have with nothing else in his creation
because you're the only one that can love God with
all your heart, minds. Only script did you realize that,
and the only reason why you can do that is
because you're created in his image and after his likeness.
And that's why the enemy try to get us off
killed her and don't want us to see our relationship
with God. He want us to live according to the
(24:29):
flesh and in all these other kind of things. When
God has placed within us something that's invaluable. How many
angels did you see in scripture that says they're a
friend of God? They don't have that capacity because they
wasn't created to be They can be servants of God,
they ministering spirits and all this other kind of stuff.
(24:51):
But God says that their Abraham was a friend, and
guess what, you can be a friend too. The question
is do you want to be a friend of God.
If you do, you've got to have a heart that
would lend itself to being a friend of God. And
when if you have a friend, all of us had
(25:12):
a friend. If your friend, if the one that you
call your friend always want to get from you, get
from you, and get for you, and don't want to
give anything, it come a point when you would make
the decision that that person really isn't your friend. Right,
look at our relationship with God, look at it? How
much we want God to give to us, give to us,
(25:32):
give to us, and give us, and ask yourself, what
do you give back to him? Well, I go to church.
Do you honestly think that's going to balance things out?
Because you show up, the church can't wait to get out,
but we go on. That's what I want to say
when it comes to Moses. When it comes to these
individuals that had a heart for God, Moses was one
(25:55):
of the ones that had a heart for God. And
this is the thing about Mosesesus was a reluctant preacher.
He didn't start off that way. That was the way
he was in the middle of his life. And one
of the interesting thing is about Moses. Moses lived to
be one hundred and forty one hundred and twenty years.
And so you break Moses's life up and you will
(26:16):
find that you can look at Moses' life in three
forty year periods, forty years in Egypt, forty years running
from Pharaoh in that period of time, then forty years
when it comes to the other when it comes to
breaking out the children of Israel from Egypt and what
(26:39):
have you, and getting ready to get them ready to
go into the Promised Land. But one of the things,
and guess what, and one of the messages I want
you to get from this is that God groomed him
for that moment. God groomed him for that moment when
he was going to bring his people out of Egypt
(27:00):
into the Promised Land. And one of the things that
God said about Moses e with us. We will say, well,
I'm a friend of God. Abraham didn't call himself the
friend of God. Guess what? God called Abraham the friend
of God? Nor didn't consider himself to be full of
(27:21):
grace and righteousness. God said that he found grace in
the eyes of the Lord. And when it comes to Moses,
the thing that I that I just said, awesome. When
it comes to Moses, God said that Moses was the
meekest man on the earth. Can you imagine that? And
(27:42):
meek this isn't what we consider to meet. This here
is talking about the responsiveness to God. That means being
obedient to God. And I love the way my spiritual
mentor passed the league and illustrates this. He said that
you go on the beach and you get a frisbee
and you get a dog. I'm quite sure we see
that done. If we haven't done it ourselves. We take
the frisbee out there, we throw it out there, and
(28:03):
the dog just run and get that frisbee. And sometimes
the dog catch the frisbee in the air, bring it
back to his master and what have you. Throw it
back out there, and that dog just excited and plane
and run out there with that frisbee what have you.
And then you get that frize. The master get that frizze.
We get ready to throw it out in palls, and
(28:24):
the dog just stay right there wait until that frize
we go. And sometimes one thing I can put it
like that, you're gonna the dog get ready to go,
and you don't release it, and the dog come right back.
And then you throw out there and the dog run
and get it and bring it right back our ball
or what have you. That's meekness responsive to the will
(28:45):
of God. Some of us are responsive to our own will,
and we want God's will to comport with our will,
to fit into our will. And you can know when
when which side of that little spectrum you're on because
of your response to life.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
