Idiocracy (2006) - Movie Review and Analysis
Aaron and Steve discuss the 2006 cult classic, Idiocracy. Perfectly average Corporal Joe Bauers (Luke Wilson) is volunteered for an Army project that accidentally puts him 500 years into the future. Joe finds himself out of place as the human population has declined in intelligence over the centuries to the point where every person is a complete idiot. As Joe finds himself as the smartest man on the planet, he is tasked by President Camacho (Terry Crews) to solve all the problems facing the United States of Uhmerica. He is joined on his journey by Rita (Maya Rudolph) from his own time and his new friend and lawyer Frito (Dax Shepard), who received his law degree at Costco.
What is the full catalog of high degrees available at Costco?
Is a pimp’s love really that different from that of a square?
Is there a shadowy organization in control of this world?
These questions and more on this week’s Cinema Decon.

Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
