Speaker 1 (00:21):
hello and welcome to
circle of Parks podcast, episode
number 199.
Today we are talking about ifattractions in Magic Kingdom are
under, over or properly rated.
There is far too much to seeand do.
We are here to help guide youthrough.
But before we do that, we musttalk Disney merch.
(00:46):
So this week on DisneyStorecomI came across a really cute
espresso mug set.
They are Ewoks, the Ewoksthemselves are the mugs, and it
is a set of three priced at$39.99.
And so its description is whenyou need a little pick-me-up,
(01:07):
pick up one of these little EwokExpresso mugs.
They each feature a differentdesign, cute faces in 3D
elements, and you can also stackthem.
They are stackable.
So again, ewok Expresso mug setfor $39.99.
And that is this week's Disneymerch.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
All right, Thank you
everybody for joining us.
Episode number 199.
Almost 200.
Yes, hard to believe Almostwe're going to do for episode
200.
I didn't plan it this way, butit's just working out that way.
Yeah, where to find Walt inWalt Disney World?
So I think that's a good 200.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Big episode.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Big episode, you know
.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
You okay over there.
Speaker 1 (01:48):

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Sure.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:52):

and sponsor, travel PlannerErica, at their podcast Once
Upon a Park podcast, they'recoming after us, all in good fun
.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
This week they're
going to be doing Animal Kingdom
and they are non-Animal Kingdomfans.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Yes, so I'm sure they
will have differences in
ratings.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Yeah, so all right.
So this week I know we've goneinto more detail with the
attractions and all this stuff.
There's so many attractionshere.
We're not going to be doingthat today because we don't want
to go.
We've been doing an hour plus.
We're going to not do so muchin-depth description and just
the ride height and just areally quick what it is Just
brief yeah.
(02:57):
All right.
So speaking of that, let's getright into it.
Brittany walking right down themiddle of Main Street, usa
relaxing down Main Street andtaking everything in.
Do you think it is under, overor properly rated?
Speaker 1 (03:10):
I think it's under.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
I agree, Underrated,
and I threw this in here.
Is it an attraction?
No, but I think Main Street USAgets overlooked by a lot of
people because you see thecastle right and you want to go
do other stuff right.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Right, you're rushing
to see the king castle, right,
and you want to go do otherstuff, right.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Right, you're rushing
to see the castle and then,
okay, what are we going to do?
Right, yeah, and there's somuch detail and history built
into Main Street USA that itoften gets overlooked, and I
think this is I mean, I wrotethat after a song walking right
down the middle of Main StreetUSA.
It is an awesome song, and Ithink this is something that a
lot of people don't do and it'sreally underrated.
I think yes, especially thenames on the windows.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
So good, right, and
even you know, minus those
details, just taking in likewhat stores and like little, you
know like the confectionery andyou know like all of those
places.
I think you're just bypassingthem.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
The Abbersbrook,
whatever the, the, I forgot the
name of the brothers where theydo the glass blowing oh yeah, I
forgot the name of them too, butyeah it's like abros brothers
or something.
They've been there forever.
They have a plank in place indisneyland too really cool, yeah
, really unique.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
There's just yeah,
there there's a lot more than
you realize besides just passingby the Emporium and all that.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Yeah, all right.
So we're going to move on to,we're going to Adventureland.
We're going to move on to SwissFamily Treehouse.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Yes, so this is any
high all ages.
It's an attraction that youbasically walk through.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Yeah, well, it's a
step up.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Yeah, you're climbing
steps.
But you know, if you've heardof the Swiss family Robinson
movie and all of that, it'sbuilt where they were
shipwrecked on a deserted islandand you're crossing a bridge,
all of that, you're climbing up.
You're seeing their livingheadquarters.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Basically, yeah, what
do you?
Speaker 1 (05:01):
think.
I think it is properly rated Ithink it's underrated.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Okay, I think there's
some cool stuff in there, some
old school walt, disney worldstuff hasn't changed much.
I mean they've done somerefurbishments on it, but
overall it's the same as it was.
Opening day.
Yeah, you get some great viewsof the castle and and other
surrounding areas and I thinkit's a great thing to get some
energy out with your kids, because it's a lot of climbing,
that's true but I think it'sunderrated.
(05:26):
I don't think a lot of peopletalk about it and I think it is
a very important part of thepark as far as history goes yeah
, I would say that it's just.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
I don't know, it's
not like my most favorite thing
to do.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
I'm not saying it is,
but is it a must do for us?
No, but we always do justbecause at least, every other
time okay, we're here, let's gothrough it right you know, but
it's not a must do, but we endup usually always doing it yeah,
all right.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
All right, moving on.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
So now we are on,
we're backtracking, yes sorry I
thought to put this on hereafter I've already done the
split family treehouse, and Ididn't want to go back and
change everything it's fine.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
So so Walt Disney
World Railroad and you can get
to this located in Main Street, usa, but then there's some other
stops as well, adventure, ohsorry, frontierland, and
Fantasyland with, where I canalways think of that land.
The circus.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
The big tent.
Why are we going blank rightnow?
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Anyway, yes.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
We do this every
season.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yeah, it's part of
Fantasyland, but it's back there
around like Big Pete's.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Yeah, dumbo and all
that.
Yeah, anyway, all right, movingon Okay.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
So celebrate Classic
Americana at this picturesque
train station near the entranceof the park.
Any height, all ages.
We just covered the differentstops, but it does take you
around the like parameter of thepark it's called the grand
circle tour yes, well, I don'tknow how much detail you're
wanting me to get, becauseyou're like there's a lot to
cover.
Just saying that okay, so I putproperly proper, I did.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Properly rated too,
it's.
I think it is a must do notevery time, but as a first timer
, I think this is a must do.
Um, trains are very important.
Walt love trains.
Um, you get to see the wholepark, yeah, and there's great
guided narration along the way,and you get to see inside of
tianas and I think you get tosee some of the wooded areas
(07:22):
that you don't normally get tosee if you're not on the train.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Right, and the trains
themselves are very vintage.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
They are.
They were made.
It's in my book, I wroteextensively about in my book.
But they were found in theYucatan and they were used in
the Yucatan to transport fruit, okay, and so they brought them
back to Florida completelyrestored and these are early
1900 steam locomotives and theyconverted them to.
(07:48):
They're not steam.
Well, they are steam, but it'snot wood, it's water steamed.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
Okay.
So, there's some history there.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
There's some history
there.
Yeah, there's.
They're really cool.
They had them completelyrestored.
Yeah, I think it's properlyrated.
There's always people on it andthere's a lot of really cool
easter eggs in the train stationtoo yeah my book has all of it
all right.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Well, we'll look
forward to whenever it comes out
.
Yeah, all right back toadventureland, the magic carpets
of aladdin.
This is any height, all ages.
It's a slow ride, involves somespinning.
You're flying over adventureland on an enchanted carpet ride
inspired by the disney moviealaddin and, depending on where
you sit if I forget, if it's ohfront row you direct how high or
(08:35):
low you fly, and then if you'resitting in the back row, you're
basically tipping it forward orbackward yeah, so yes, um, this
is dumbo with aladdin.
Yeah, that's all this is yeah, carpet instead of the elephant.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Yeah, so I put over I
agree this always has a long
line and I think, just becauseit's in adventure land and it's
a really big choke, point rightthere yes that it can get like a
30 plus minute wait yeah, Iagree.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
I think it's the
location of it because, again,
it is basically the same asdumbo and if you don't want to
wait quite as long for the sametype of ride, you might want to
head over to dumbo when they'rerunning both of them yeah, they
usually always run both of them.
Yeah, but we'll get to thatmore, yeah but, um, I mean, I'm
not saying it's it's fun, butjust for the weight that it
tends to get, I think it's overI would agree, overrated.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Um, not a bad attack,
we've done it once, but it's
like, yeah, I would rather domore things in adventureland, or
just hang out in adventurelandeating a dole whip or just
whatever and enjoying theambience and do this yeah that's
my opinion.
All right, we're moving on tojungle cruise yes, jungle cruise
(09:47):
.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
So this is another,
any height, all ages.
It's a slower moving ride.
It's a boat tour of exoticrivers across asia, africa and
south america.
Uh, your guide, your skipper,is usually like a comedian type
guide.
You know they have a lot ofjokes.
Some are more like dad jokes, things like that.
Um, but I would say for thisone I put properly rated okay
(10:16):
sorry now.
One thing I do want to say isit does take a little twist on
it during the holidays and itbecomes jingle cruise.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
So so I've been a
huge advocate of Jungle Cruise.
Love the dad jokes.
I love the theming here.
I love the so many Easter eggshere.
I have been spoiled and hadsome amazing skippers yes,
especially in Disneyland.
When come back to the EastCoast, they just don't measure
(10:46):
up.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
I think it just
depends on the skipper it
honestly does.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
The skipper can make
or break this attraction and
it's consistently what 45, 60minute wait.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
Yeah, a lot of the
time.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
I'm going overrated.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Oh wow.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
I was not expecting
that I have not enjoyed our last
few cruises.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
On the jungle cruise,
I just have not.
The, the skippers just have notbeen that good right and I know
it's not the attraction'sfault- but, I just feel they
just weren't that funny.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Yeah, they were very
bland and, honestly, it really
truly does depend on the skipper, because, I agree, like you
know, I've had some where I'mlike, oh, ha, ha, ha, like the
whole time and smiling, and thenother times where it's like,
really okay, you know no one'sgonna top that woman we had in
disneyland at night.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
I was laughing out
loud the whole time.
Right, it was the same story, but she just had little quips on
it.
That just brought it.
It brought it, and maybe I'mjust having too high
expectations now I don't knowwell for me personally.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
I mean, this ride is
one that I definitely don't have
to ride every time, and I thinkI prefer it, um, when it's the
holidays and you like junglecruise, yeah I think this is
becoming better at night.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Okay, because it's
more mysterious yeah, you know
that it's more not spooky, butjust you're in the jungle, you
don't see anything like.
I think it's better at night.
Yeah, I've changed.
I feel bad saying that, though, but it.
But it's the truth.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Yeah, so hopefully
when you get to ride this ride,
you have a skipper.
That is exceptional.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Good luck.
I hope you do, because they canmake a difference.
They can make a difference.
They really can yes.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
All right, still in
Adventureland, moving on to Walt
Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
In the Tiki Tiki,
tiki, tiki, tiki room.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
So this is a musical
extravaganza.
Tons of tropical birds and tikigods, colorful flowers.
They come to life.
It is, you know, a show.
It's a chance to get out of theheat.
It's located there by is itAloha Isle, or is that in
Polynesian?
Speaker 2 (13:03):
I think Polynesian is
Pineapple Lanai.
Okay, yes, so it's Aloha Islein Magic Kingdom.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
Yes, so you can even
get a Dole Whip and take it in
here as well.
Yes, the wait, it's usuallyjust you're waiting for the next
show.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
And there's a cool
pre-show with the birds while
you're waiting.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Yes, but it's right
before it starts, so it's not
going to be the whole timeyou're waiting, and so I put
underrated I completely agreewow, we're agreeing a lot
overall, do you?
Speaker 2 (13:30):
want to elaborate you
want me to.
This is walt disney's speakingof where to find walt disney in
walt disney world.
Walt disney's enchanted tikiroom okay, right the history.
Here you got walt disney, thesherbin brothers that came up
with the tiki room song, theseaudio animatronics.
(13:51):
We would not have hondo anaka,we would not have the shaman in
pandora, we would not have theflying spider-man at dca without
these birds.
Right, these were the firstaudio animatronics ever built in
the world, not just in disneyin the world.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Yeah, so much is owed
to this show right here and
it's, and it's fun like wedidn't do it the first couple of
trips, but we didn't know yeah, but once we did, we enjoyed it
and the boys enjoy it.
The boys like it, yeah, we loveit.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Grab you, seriously.
Grab a dole whip, take it in.
This is one of the few thingsyou can bring food in, probably
yeah they encourage you to theone in disneyland that stands
literally right outside beforeyou walk in yes um, yeah, like
this is quintessential.
I know you don't think ofdisney when you think of this,
but this is quintessential whathe was wanting, disney yeah,
(14:50):
underrated, go check it outgreat show yes great, great show
yes, so we are still inadventureland yeah and when you
break it down.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
And we are going to
pirates of the caribbean, and
this is another one caribbeanwhatever I say it both ways
honestly that's true yep, so anyheight, all ages, it's a slow
ride.
Small, dark, small drops.
It's a darker ride so, um, youset sail on a voyage to the long
(15:23):
forgotten time and place wherepirates and privateers ruled the
seas, and of course, you've got, you know, the yo-ho, yo-ho, a
pirate's life.
For me and I, I, I think thisis another ride where, initially
, we didn't ride it and havethoroughly enjoyed being on it
(15:44):
when we ride it.
This is a must do now and it isI put properly okay elaborate
you just because there isusually a line there is here a
lot of people that's on theirfast pass, whatever it's called.
Now you know, but in the pastlightning lane.
(16:05):
Yeah, multi-pass, whatever youknow, it's usually one that
people are looking for because alot of people liked those
movies, like this ride.
Know that.
You know there are little drops, it gets you out of the heat,
uh, I just I don't know.
I think it's a fun ride on andit doesn't matter which coast.
(16:26):
I enjoy both coasts.
Now I will say I do enjoy theone out west better, but I still
think this is properly ratedfor the wait times that it gets
and all of that.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Okay, here we go.
Here we go.
Classic Disney attractionClassic I.
Before we had gone toDisneyland I would have said
this is underrated.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
I am now saying it is
properly rated after riding the
OG Pirates of the Caribbean inDisneyland.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
It's so much better.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
Well, and it's longer
too in Disneyland.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
But it's just better.
This is really, really good.
That's why I'm saying it'sproperly rated.
It's usually like a 20 30minute wait, which is definitely
fine.
I do, however, want to use alightning lane multi-pass for
this when we go in june, becauseI want to see the chest table.
It's been a long time sinceI've seen the stalemate with the
(17:26):
skeletons and it's only on theFast Pass or Lightning Lane
queue.
It's not on the standby queue.
All right.
So I want to go see that, because it's been a long time
since I've seen it.
Yeah, okay, but yeah.
I would say properly rated.
It's a great attraction ClassicDisney boat ride.
I love it.
Great attraction Classic Disneyboat ride I love it.
(17:46):
I can't go over or underbecause it's properly rated.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Yeah, I would agree.
Okay, the next one.
My tab isn't showing meanything to read about this
attraction for heightrequirements.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
All right, it's
Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
We're moving on intoFrontierland and it is 40 inches
40-inch height requirement.
This is, you're going on a boatflume ride through Tiana's
Adventure.
This is supposed to take placeafter the movie, the former
Splash Mountain attraction withsome great audio animatronics in
(18:21):
it and, depending on where yousit, could get really really wet
or not really that wet at allyeah, we didn't get too wet when
we wrote it, but I have seensome people just coming off of
there just sopping wet, so itreally depends on on where you
sit.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
So um, I I put
properly.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
I originally okay, go
ahead, go explain.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
Well, I just think
the hype around it obviously,
yes, it's a newer ride andeverything you know, but so many
people love um, the, the moviethat these characters came from,
and I think they did a reallygood like.
It was one of those like Iwasn't sure how it was going to
be, you know, because, yes, itwas replacing another really
(19:11):
good attraction, but I thinkthey really brought it together
and there are some screens beingused in it.
I know in the beginning somepeople were like, oh my gosh,
they used too many screens.
No, they didn't.
They used them a few times, butyou still have plenty of
animatronics and, uh, the waythat the little, the drops, the
smaller drops introduce you intodifferent scenes and stuff.
(19:32):
I just think they really did agood job bringing it together.
Um, I'm putting properly withthe hype that we experienced
when we went.
Now you know how you wait inline and stuff is different.
It was just a virtual queuebefore, so but I'm putting
properly all right, so myinitial thought on this was
overrated okay I am.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
I was sad to see
splash mountain go because that
was the first attraction we rodeon as a family right for all
four of us.
So it had that kind ofsentimental place with me, right
, yeah, and I did love all thesongs we watched, as as a kid in
elementary school we did watchthe cartoons, so the songs
really resonated with me okay.
(20:15):
So I really really missed thatand I I was sad to see splash
mountain go and I wrote aboutthis a lot in the book.
Actually the history of itreally interesting history of
how splash mountain came, cameto be.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
But now it's tiana.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Now it's tiana's, and
they did do a really good job
with the rethink.
I'm not gonna knock it at all.
They did a really, really goodjob with the rethink.
It does not fit in withfrontierland yet I don't know
what they're going to do withthat area.
Um, but I did, when I thinkabout it as a whole, that nobody
(20:50):
knows what who brer rabbit andbrer bear are.
Nobody knows that anymore right.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
So you have to do
what people know well, and the
cue is amazing too.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Yes, like once you're
in it yeah, walt always said
they have to keep up witheverything and I get it.
So this is going to be enjoyedby generations to come.
Now, right, right.
So I, I, with all that in mind,I put properly rated.
Okay, but my initial thoughtwas over, but I'm trying to take
my emotions out of it for aminute.
It is properly rated, it isstill.
(21:20):
It's still a flume ride, it'sstill splash mountain.
The same ride.
Right.
Just rethemed and they did addthat little hump to it.
Where you're going, I don'tknow if you're going through
time or whatever it is, Well, you're supposed to be shrunk
down?
Speaker 1 (21:33):
I think Okay.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
Yeah, yeah, properly
rated.
Mm-hmm.
We will do it.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
I don't know if it's
going to be a must do for us,
but right, we will.
We will do it now.
This is just a lightning lanemulti-pass right.
So yeah, no more virtual, nomore virtual queue or single
pass for yeah, yeah, all right, all right.
Well, thank you, because Idon't know why my information
went pulling up, but it is again, so, um.
Next, still still in the samearea, but we're not in
adventureland still, we just gotto frontierland but it's still
anyway right there frontierlandbig thunder mountain railroad.
(22:10):
Now, at the time of thisrecording, we are in april 2025.
It is temporarily closed forrefurbishment until january 6th.
No, it's that's when it closed.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
That's it closed.
It is a year-long closure.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
So we don't know a
date for sure yet.
It could be in January of nextyear, but we will see.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
They're completely
redoing the whole track,
hopefully.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
They're supposed to
add a scene.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
We should be getting
the dynamite scene like they
have in Disneyland.
We'll see.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
I hope so, but yeah,
they're completely redoing the
whole track.
Yeah, so this is another one.
That's 40 inch heightrequirement.
Uh, it's a thrill ride.
Small drops, it does go prettyfast at times.
You're kind of thrown andthrown around a little bit in
your seat.
It's the wildest ride in thewilderness, you know that's it's
best remove them.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
Yeah, yeah, if you
Move them.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Yeah, yeah.
If you have hats on and stuff, you better be holding on to them
.
So it is a fun ride and I putproperly rated.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
I agree, properly
rated.
Okay, this wait can get verylong.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
It can.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
It can get very, very
long.
There's always a lot of hypearound it.
Everybody wants to do it.
It's a great coaster.
Amazing storytelling in thequeue yeah, amazing storytelling
.
Amazing easter eggs.
I'm not going to get that muchinto it, um, but there is a
connection to the tiki room hereas well oh yes, I did a real
(23:39):
about.
We've talked about it, yeah yougot to go check whenever that
comes up.
Opens back up.
So I love all of that.
I agree, properly rated.
It is the hype around.
It is worth it.
It is a fun coaster.
Sit in the back, wait and sitin the back.
It is so much for the middlesit in the back so much better
whenever it opens up.
I'm sure it's gonna be a long, long wait oh yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:02):

and the merit of them and agreeto disagree, but we all still
love Disney.
Yes, that's the great thing.
Right.
And she's a phenomenal travelagent.
Her attention to detail, Just.
We've never met anybody likeher before.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
Right, yeah,
definitely goes above and beyond
and just communicates very well.
And you know, I don't thinkwe've ever felt stressed or
anything while dealing with her,no, no, she's, she's amazing.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
All right, Moving on.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
All right.
So we're still in Frontierlandand this is Country Bear Musical
Jamboree.
It's been recently updated.
It's a show, so any heightrequirement, any age, and so
you're heading over toFrontierland for this newly
reimagined show where Henry, trixie, big Al and their pals
are playing some songs, some ofyour favorite songs, alongside a
(26:27):
heaping helping of Southerncharm.
I'm not rating this because wehave not experienced it.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
I agree, not rating
it.
I agree, not reading it.
We will on our next trip.
Yeah, despite what Brittanysays.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
Well, I just don't
think the boys are going to
enjoy it.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
It's the one thing in
the magic kingdom we have not,
Okay.
So the one thing but anyway andwe didn't experience the older
version of it either, so I thinkwith the new songs they may
enjoy it more.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Maybe, yeah.
Maybe, but again, we don't wantto rate it when we haven't even
experienced it.
I know some shows, somevloggers, all of that they still
will try to give their opinionswithout actually experiencing
it.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
But we're not like
that.
We have no opinions.
Yep, yep, all right Moving onAll right.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Now we are headed to
Liberty Square, the Hall of
Presidents, any height, all ages.
Behold all the presidents ofthe United States in a stirring
show tracing the nation'shistory, and I'm going to let
Zach talk a little bit moreabout it.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
Yeah, it's a
different show than what we
thought it was going to be.
It's more of a history of thepresidents during very crucial
times of our country.
Yes, and it was different.
I enjoyed it.
I really did thoroughly like it, and the lobby here has some
amazing presidential artifacts.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Yeah, amazing, like
the lobby was good, the actual,
like figures of the presidentswere good, I thought they were
going to be used more, I think, than the show part itself.
I thought like the actualpresidents would be more of it
okay yeah, so for me I putoverrated, because oh, whoa wow
(28:05):
because I thought again what Ijust said if, if they used these
, like these animatronics, audioand audio animatronics.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Audio animatronics.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Audio animatronics
more throughout the show.
I think I would have enjoyed itmore because that's what I was
expecting.
Okay, so I mean, it's not a badshow or anything, and if you
like history and all of that, you're really going to like this
no matter what.
But I was thinking the audioanimatronics were going to be
more throughout the whole thingI went underrated.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
Okay, I think it's a
great show.
Is it a must do every time?
No, but is it a lot of hypearound it?
No, it doesn't, but there's a.
It's a really good story.
There's some really cool stuffin this lobby.
I wrote extensively about thislobby.
They have president georgewashington's shoe buckles oh,
interesting, I didn't see that.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
Okay, okay that's old
.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Yeah, that's really
old.
Yeah, that's really coolthere's a lot of abraham lincoln
stuff.
Uh, walt's favorite presidentwas abraham lincoln, so there's
a lot of stuff devoted to to abeand there's just some really
cool artifacts.
They've got President GeorgeBush's Texas Rangers jacket I'm
a Rangers fan, so that was kindof cool to me.
President Carter's fly fishingstuff I like to fly fish.
(29:22):
So I think, that's really cool.
So there's just some cool stuffin there that you normally
wouldn't see at like apresidential type thing, and the
seal of the United States onthe floor had to get an actual
act of congress to approve thatwow and that's the only place
outside of washington dc.
You'll see that.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Yeah, seal and again
there's.
You know there is a lot there.
I just I was expecting a little.
I I knew there was still gonnabe a story in history and all of
that.
I was just expecting more fromthe audio animatronics that,
that's all.
Disagree Agree to disagree onthat yes, all right, all right.
Still located in Liberty Square, going to Haunted Mansion, climb
(30:03):
aboard a gloomy yes, gloomydune buggy for a grave journey
through a labyrinth of hauntedchambers.
You can be any height, all ages.
It's a slow ride.
Dark might be a little scaryfor some of the littles.
It's a spirited tour.
Okay, so you're gliding past acasket-filled conservatory,
(30:24):
madame Leota's chilling seanceroom and a ghostly graveyard of
singing specters.
As you attempt to find your wayout, beware of hitchhikers.
These phantom pranksters mayfollow you home.
I put properly rated.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
I agree, properly
rated.
You have to tread lightly whenyou talk about Haunted Mansion,
because there are some diehardHaunted Mansion fans.
Yeah, in my book I didn't evenattempt to go into the backstory
and the Easter eggs.
I'll talk more about thehistory, because you can write
an entire book on thisattraction.
Right.
It is, I think, arguably one ofthe most beloved attractions
(31:03):
worldwide in Disney, I think.
Yeah.
The wait time can get well over45 minutes to an hour usually.
Now it does move fast.
It does, but I think it isworth the hype.
It is hyped up really high andI think it keeps up with it.
Properly rated yeah, I wouldagree.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Alright, Now we're
heading over to Fantasyland.
It's a small world.
You can be any height, all ages.
It's a slower ride.
Embark on a whimsical boat ridepast a jubilant chorus of
children from around the globe.
It's the happiest cruise thatyou've ever sailed.
It is a 10-minute journeythrough all seven continents and
(31:44):
as you're going through it, youare hearing the song it's a
small world.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
You're welcome, by
the way.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
So I didn't continue,
because that just that's all
you did.
That's all you did in your headyeah yep, so um, there is some,
you know mary blair, mary blair, flair and all of that good
stuff.
But uh, I put properly I did.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Um, it's the
attraction.
Everybody loves.
To hate it.
It's properly rated.
There's never usually that longof a wait.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
I think a lot of
people do it just to say you've
been on it, to say you've beenon it In our first-timers
episode.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
this is a must-do for
first-timers, I think, just
because of the history of it,and you hear all about it.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Yes, but if you are
ever in Disneyland, I like
Disneyland a lot better.
Disneyland is much better.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
Yes, completely agree
.
But yeah, there's not really alot of hype around it, it's
usually like a 15.
It's usually pretty quick 10,15 minute wait, I think that's
yeah, properly rated, and it'salso another one, though, you
know, maybe if you have littlesand it's, you know, july, summer
, day.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
Get out of the heat
for a little while yep, yep, yep
, all right, still in fantasyland.
We're gonna be here for a bit.
There's a lot of stuff.
We are headed to peter pan'sflight embark on a high-flying
adventure over iconic scenes, uh, based on the animated film any
height, all ages, slow ride, kind of small drops.
You're setting sail across thesky and, as it said, going
through different scenes.
(33:15):
Um, you know, you're wavinggoodbye to nana, all of that.
So, uh, passing by big ben, thetower bridge, so I this before
I say what I'm gonna say, because some people are probably
gonna get upset.
Um, this line is alwaysextensively long.
It is like an hour, yes, atleast, yep, uh, unless you are
(33:40):
there like first thing in themorning, you know.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
So I am putting over
overrated I agree it is
overrated, completely agree.
So the reason the line isalways so long this has a very
low ride capacity per hour rightthat's why it just it does not
have a lot of capacity.
That's why it gets backed up.
It is not worth the 45 minutesto an hour wait that it
(34:04):
constantly is.
Now the queue is great.
Yeah, I'd be like hey, can Ijust go walk through the queue?
Speaker 1 (34:09):
right explain the
queue a little bit has some
awesome interactive elements.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
you walk through the
queue Right.
Explain the queue.
The queue has some awesomeinteractive elements.
You walk through the darling'shouse.
It is really, really cool, butyeah, I think it is overrated
for the wait times and the hypearound it.
I love a good dark ride, yeah, but it's not worth the hour plus
hour plus weight no no it'soverrated and I think we said
that in the last episode.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
Yeah, and if you
don't experience that once
you're inside in the line queueand you're walking through their
house, if you do Lightning Laneand bypass that, then it's
really not worth it.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
It does you don't get
yeah.
Speaker 4 (34:43):
Yeah, I still
remember that.
You need that.
You do it tells the story.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
All right.
Again still in Fantasyland, going to Mickey's PhilharMagic.
This is a Disney magic meetsDisney music in a 12-minute 3D
fantasy adventure starringDonald Duck, any height, all
ages.
Again, it's more of a 3D show,it's something that I think.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
It's a 4D show.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Well, this is saying
3D but there are some 4D
elements.
Yes, it is something that Ithink when we first went to
watch it, we had no idea what toexpect.
We're more like, oh, it's justa show, oh, okay, and we've
talked about this so many times.
It brings back so many scenesof movies from like the early 90
(35:31):
movies and stuff, as well assome other older classics and
even newer, you know, from beour guest, part of your world.
I just can't wait to be kingfrom all of those beating the
beast, little mermaid, lion, king, um, and again much more,
and it just really brings outthe child in you, I think a
little bit if you grew up aroundthe same time that we did, and
(35:52):
so it does not get a lot of hypearound it.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
I put under I agree,
underrated, and if you've
listened to this at all orlistened to us at all for any
period of time, you know this isthe attraction that got me to
fall in love with Disney.
Right, it just.
It took me back to mygrandmother's wood panel den and
I was seven.
That's exactly what it did, andso it doesn't get a lot of hype
around it.
You're just waiting for thenext show.
Great, it's just a great show.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
It is Underrated.
Yep, completely Yep.
All right.
Fantasy Land going to PrinceCharming Regal Carousel.
So it's your carousel.
Ride atop a regal steed andgallop through a whirling
backdrop of wondrous color inwhimsical music, any height, all
ages, slow spinning, and it'suh, there's some history to it.
(36:42):
There's a lot of history thereis some history to it so I don't
want to say what how I said it,like it's just a carousel or
anything.
But the ride itself is what youexpect from a carousel ride and
the line.
There's always a line.
It's not like super longusually, what?
30?
Minutes Usually not even thatYou're just waiting for the next
(37:02):
go around, maybe 20 minutes, you know, depending on the day I
put properly.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
I agree, properly
rated.
This is a good familyattraction.
We went on it our first time.
You know you're going to waitone or two rotations of the
carousel.
This is the oldest attractionin Walt Disney World.
I just wrote about it in mybook and see if you can find
Cinderella's horse.
Her horse has a golden ribbonon the tail.
(37:29):
That's Cinderella's.
Not at this carousel.
But I remember back when wewere in disneyland last summer
watching burt and mary poppinsoh yeah, writing it and they
were playing the uh what songwas it?
um go, let's go fly a kite.
I was like man, that is such alike they need to do that in
walt disney world yes, I thinkthey occasionally will, but in
(37:50):
disneyland it's more common yeah, I was like man man.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
That was just amazing
.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
It was so good.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
That's one thing.
In Disneyland, I mean, there'sso many more characters that are
just walking around andinteracting with you, or like
that prime example.
They are just hopping on thecarousel.
Other people are still on thecarousel with them too.
Yeah, they're right next tothem.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
Yeah, just hanging
out Right in into let's go fly
kite.
Yeah, that's awesome.
Yeah, but um, yeah, I putproperly rated, not a lot of
hype around it, not a lot ofpeople talk about it, mainly.
Just you're gonna have yourfamilies on it or people that
just really love carousels yeah,it's a good good history here,
though you can check my book outwhenever it comes out if you
want to know about it yes, allright.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
So fantasy land.
Now we're going to seven dwarfsmine train race through the
Diamond Mine from Snow White andthe Seven Dwarfs on a swaying
family coaster ride 38 inches ortaller thrill ride.
Small drops there is you knowwhere they get your picture at
one of the drops, you know.
So you're going to have thatattraction photography and it's
(38:46):
hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work.
You go, so I.
This ride gets a lot ofattention, a lot of attention,
and I think part of it too isbecause it's one that younger
kids can go on as well that'sthe thing.
A lot of families can go on thisyes, um, I have debated between
properly and over.
(39:08):
Okay, and let me explain realquick.
Oh, the reason why I'm debatingis over because it is a shorter
ride, but the queue and theelements in the queue, I think,
are what's making me go toproperly rated, because when you
take all that intoconsideration, even though the
ride itself is shorter than Iwould like it to be, um, and
(39:32):
it's a smoother coaster, the waythe the carts are that you're
sitting in, I'm going to changeit from over to properly I'm
going overrated oh, okay again,it's a great coaster for kids
family it's.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
It's short though it
combines a coaster with the dark
ride element with the mine, butfor that wait time is it's
always like 70, 80 minutes yeahit's not, it's overrated yeah,
and I mean it's just again, Ihad it over yeah I think we're
going to do a single pass, because we've been a few years
since we've done this, so Ithink we need to do a lightning
(40:06):
single pass for it when we do,when we go in june, maybe, what
do you think?
Possibly.
So I'm not waiting.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
I'm not waiting on
this line no, and that's the
thing you know, like you weresaying.
That's why I said I almost didover, because the ride itself is
so short and the lines can getlong.
But I do like all the elementsin the queue too, so you know,
yeah.
Yep.
Yep, all right, we still in thesame land.
We're going to the miniadventures of Winnie the Pooh
(40:32):
Any height, all ages, slow ride, travel through hundred acre
woods in an oversized honeypotand get lost in the pages of
classic tales.
This one tends to have a decentweight as well.
It's a cute ride, I mean.
I liked watching Winnie thePooh as a kid and stuff, but I'm
putting overrated.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
Whoa yeah, wow yeah.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
Okay, yeah, I just
think for how long the line can
be sometimes and for what it is.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
It's usually like 20,
30 minutes.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
Wow, I've seen it
longer.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
Well, I'm going based
on 20, 30 minute wait time.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
Okay, I've seen like
45.
Speaker 2 (41:08):
Well, I've seen that
too.
Yes, but more often than notit's usually 20 to 30 minutes.
I'm going properly rated.
Okay, it's cute, it's a funride.
I like a lot of the nods tothat.
There's a lot of Easter eggshere, very well themed, but yeah
, I'm going to go properly rated20, 30 minutes yeah properly.
Speaker 1 (41:29):
Well, I did over
based on I've seen it more often
45 minutes and I'm not waiting45.
Fair enough.
Yep, all right.
Mad Tea Party.
Spin round and round in a giantteacup during a madcap
music-filled whirlwind, anyheight, all ages spinning.
You know it's one of those.
Like you can make it spinfaster or not, it's up to you.
(41:50):
If you ride with Zach, be readyto go super fast.
If you are in the one withNolan, our youngest, you're not,
you're going to.
You're going to be good.
You're not going to just besitting there.
You're going to be spinning alittle bit, but you're not going
to come off falling down.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
So what are you going
to do when he says I want to go
fast?
Speaker 1 (42:06):
I better have had my
dizzy.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
You're going to have
your own teacup, or maybe my own
teacup.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
Okay, but anyway,
there's usually not too long of
a wait, and so I put properlyrated Okay.
Because, I feel like there's somany smiling faces on the kids
on this ride, whether it's ourown kids or other kids, I mean,
they're just having a good time.
So I put properly rated.
Speaker 2 (42:31):
Every time we do this
, I always have fun.
Yeah, like you're, so I putproperly rated every time we do
this, I always have fun, like, just like innocent kid fun, I
put underrated.
Oh okay, underrated, it's justalways fun.
And the trick to not gettingdizzy is stare at something and
don't take your eyes off.
(42:51):
That that's stationary, so Ijust always stare at Ryan I do't
take your eyes off that.
That's stationary.
So I just always stare at Ryan.
I do not take my eyes off, ryan, and that's how I do not get
dizzy when you do that, and Ithink that's like the trick to,
like ice skaters and balletdancers Like you find a
stationary thing and you focuson that and you don't get dizzy.
I don't know, but it's workedfor for me.
(43:11):
I think it's underrated.
Always come off like that'sjust really fun yeah it's just
pure simple fun.
That's it.
Nothing fancy about it, okay.
So good to know.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
Good to know, all
right.
So again still in fantasy land.
We're gonna be here a bit still.
So dumbo, the flying elephantlocated in fantasy land.
Soar high in the sky and see anelephant fly on a whimsical
flight aboard Dumbo any high, all ages, slow ride, some
spinning, and it's like what wewere talking about earlier with
the Aladdin magic carpets exceptthis is Dumbo.
(43:43):
There's more elephants to loadthan the magic carpets because
it has two sets of the samething and typically when, if it
is a long line, you can go in aqueue and wait in this indoor
children's playground.
However, currently, uh, fromfebruary 24 2025 until later
(44:04):
spring of this year.
Uh, they're refurbishing thatat the moment, yeah, so just uh,
letting everybody know thatright now, um, but I put
properly rated I agree, properlyrated.
Speaker 2 (44:17):
It's dumbo.
Yeah, it's the og right?
Yes, you got to do dumbo, correct?
Um, the play area we've gone inand just let the kids play.
Yeah, you don't have to waitfor the attraction, we've gone
in.
We're like the kids just wantto play, like, oh okay, go ahead
, but they'll give you a pagerright when it's time and it's a
good way to get out of the heat.
You know, our kids are too bigfor this now.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
Right, but at the
time At the time they were
smaller.
Speaker 2 (44:39):
They just yeah, I
think, properly rated.
You know it's Dumbo, it's OG,more than that.
Speaker 1 (44:49):
It's a very busy day
in the park, right so?
Yeah, all right.
So next the barnstormer, takeflight above storybook circus
storybook circus.
Speaker 2 (44:59):
That's the area.
Speaker 1 (44:59):
Yeah, that's the area
, yeah take flight above
storybook circus with goofy in ahomemade stunt airplane for a
thrilling junior roller coasterride.
35 inches or taller, so thisone's even this is your first
coaster yep, so even smallerlittle kids can ride this than
the snow white one.
Okay, so 35 inches or taller, small drops.
(45:21):
It is a shorter ride, but again, this is like your first
introductory type roller coasterride.
Um, those of you that have backproblems might not want to do
it, though it's not.
I don't have back problems, butmy back always hurts getting off
this yeah, it kind of jerks youaround a bit and you're like,
oh, okay, well it's not paddedeither.
Right, yep, so, but it's again.
You're climbing aboard a wackystunt plane and hold on tight as
(45:42):
you take to the skies aboveFantasyland, and I, but I put
over what?
Speaker 2 (45:56):
Yeah, over what yeah?
Speaker 1 (45:57):
wow, yeah, you gotta
explain this.
I just I I don't know, I justit was a, I was a one and done
basically I feel like yep, okay,but you're not a five-year-old
kid no, exactly.
But for some reason on this one.
I'm not giving any leeway, Idon't know.
Yeah, just man, yeah, wowruthless over here.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
Wow, sorry folks, so
go ahead with yours I put
properly rated, okay, I meanit's usually like 15.
Speaker 1 (46:12):
Yeah, wow, ruthless
over here.
Wow, sorry folks, so go aheadwith yours.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
I put properly rated,
Okay.
I mean it's usually like 15, 20minutes.
It's not usually longer thanthat.
It's a good coaster for kids.
It's very well themed.
Yeah, there's not a lot of hypeon it.
Therefore, it can't beoverrated.
You just don't like it?
Well, they teach their own.
I'd be curious to.
I'm curious to hear what Johnnyand Erica's going to rate this.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
Yeah, who knows you?
Speaker 2 (46:39):
never know with them,
honestly so.
Speaker 1 (46:41):
I'm going to properly
rate it.
Okay, yeah, all right, soundsgood, all right.
Now we are headed to Under theSea Journey of the Little
Mermaid, board a clamshell andbecome part ofriel's world on a
(47:02):
musical adventure awash withscenes from the animated classic
any height all ages.
Slow ride and it's a songfilled shellabration.
Okay, what that's?
What it says.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
A song filled
shellabration because you're
riding in a clamshell and youyeah, okay, good job, good job,
disney, good job so yourunderwater adventure.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
It's taking you below
the waves on a tour of Ariel's
Gadgetville Grotto.
You know you're watchingSebastian, you know you're
seeing just all your favoritescenes and it takes you
basically through your favoritescenes of the movie and I put on
this one properly rated.
Okay, okay, uh, the queue is ispretty well themed.
(47:40):
We've talked, talked about itbefore.
I think zach will probablytouch on that here in a minute.
Um, but I put properly ratedbecause there it's a well lately
, it's at least 30 minutes ormore wait and the fact that you
get to see all the scenes andthis takes me back to
five-year-old britney, basicallyso okay, yeah, I put underrated
oh okay, yay, even better thequeue is great.
Speaker 2 (48:04):
There's some great
knots, 20 000 leagues under the
sea.
There's some hidden mickeys oneyou can only see for about five
minutes once a year.
Yeah, there's a hiddensteamboat, willie, in here.
The queue's great.
I think the overall theming ofprince eric's castle and this
whole area they just did areally really good job with, yes
, the theming here.
(48:24):
They really did amazing.
The ride itself.
It just I'm not a big fan ofthe little itself.
It just I'm not a big fan ofthe Little Mermaid, but it just
makes me smile.
Speaker 1 (48:37):
Good, you corrected
that.
Speaker 2 (48:39):
What do you?
Speaker 1 (48:39):
mean Because when you
were like I'm not a big fan,
Well, I'm just.
Speaker 2 (48:41):
I mean, it's about a
mermaid, you know, like I'm a
guy, I'm a 43 year old guy, Okay.
Speaker 1 (48:46):
And.
Speaker 2 (48:47):
I don't whatever.
Speaker 1 (48:48):
I don't really yeah,
you're aging yourself 42, I
don't really.
Speaker 2 (48:55):
Yeah, you're aging
yourself 42.
I don't really care of 42.
Yet it doesn't matter, okay, anyways, I just and and Ursula
scares me, I have to close myeyes.
It's the scariest animatronicever.
Yes, I'm saying that as a 40something year old man.
It is terrifying.
She has like 85 chins okay, itjust scares me maybe not, but
when we do not do thisattraction, I kind of missed
(49:15):
that we didn't do it right itjust.
Maybe it's just me, I don't know, but I think it's underrated.
I don't think it's good.
It's a lot of hype and I thinkit's better than people think it
is yes, I would agree.
Speaker 1 (49:25):
I mean, it was better
than what I was expecting.
Speaker 2 (49:27):
It was me too because
I remember like we're gonna go
in little mermaid yeah and wegot stuck in the queue for like
45 minutes.
My poor sister-in-law had hernephew fall asleep on him the
whole time in the queue, whichwe'll see them tomorrow.
Yay, um, that's why we'rerecording now, um, but yeah, I
just and maybe it's just becauseof that experience- I don't
know, but it was a lot betterthan I thought it was and I was
like, oh, this is actuallypretty good right.
Speaker 1 (49:49):
Yep, I agree.
All right.
Still in fantasy land.
Moving on to enchanted tales, with bell, relive the magic of
disney's beauty and the beast bytaking part in her fairy tale.
And it's you're alongside bell, herself any high all ages, a
tale as old as time.
You're stepping into bell andmarisa's quaint country cottage
(50:10):
and marvel at the charming decor.
Next, tour Maurice's workshop, where you'll see his extensive
inventive gadgets in a specialenchanted mirror the beast gave
to Belle.
Say the magic words and themirror comes to life, and then
you're being transported intothe beast's castle and you meet
the enchantedrobe, and all ofthat.
(50:31):
You are interacting, guests mayvolunteer for different parts,
and so I put underrated I washoping you'd put underrated.
I put underrated.
There was a lot more to thisthan I thought there would be.
If I were like six,seven-year-old Brittany, I
(50:51):
probably would have been too shyto volunteer, but at the same
time if I got to hold likeBell's hand and meter and all of
that stuff, I mean I would justhave been ecstatic.
Speaker 2 (51:01):
You'd have been
dressed as Bell after going to
Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique.
Right yeah, you'd have beenBelled out, yes.
Speaker 1 (51:08):
And so the theming of
all of this, and just a
wonderful, wonderful, wonderfuljob.
I don't think you hear enoughabout this.
I don't even know if peopleeven know it's there half the
time, we didn't know it wasthere for a while.
Speaker 2 (51:21):
Right, we're like oh,
there's Bill's Cottage.
Oh, that's an actual show.
Oh, wow, didn't know that, yeah, so amazing.
Speaker 1 (51:29):
They did an amazing
job with this.
And this is another one, likethat whole area, you know, like
over there, like the cottage andthen, like you know, when
you're eating at, be Our Guest.
Is that it?
Yes, yes, I'm second guessingmyself and, like Gaston's and
all of that, like all thetheming for Beauty and the Beast
in Fantasyland, they did areally good job.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
They did an amazing
job with the theming of it.
I wouldn't underrate it as well.
Okay, now I will say Beauty andthe Beast was a classic.
It is one of my favorite moviesand the mirror effect in the I
don't want to say pre-show kindof.
Speaker 1 (52:07):
Yes and no yeah.
Speaker 2 (52:09):
Is one of the most
amazing things I have ever seen
and I'm always one to like howdo they do that?
How do they figure it out?
I can't figure it out.
There's no video that explainsit.
It's incredible.
And the show if you've gotlittle like a five-year-old
Brittany who loves Belle, they're going to love this show.
It is.
You know.
They do get involved with thekids and bell does come in and
(52:32):
hold their, their hands and getinvolved with them and I think
if you know a little girl itloves bell, that's gonna make
their trip, it'll make theiryear like I actually got to tell
the story with bell right likethat.
What better thing can you do,right?
Speaker 1 (52:48):
so I think it's
underrated, even coming from a
40 year old man underrated well, and for certain parts
that-year-old man underratedWell, and for certain parts that
they assign, like nights andstuff you know there were like
dads and things going up thereand helping too, and they were
just all smiles.
Everybody was having a goodtime.
It's a good show.
Speaker 2 (53:01):
It is Go check it out
even if you know you don't have
little girls or little boys.
Yes, truly amazing.
The Imagineers nailed it, yeah.
Speaker 1 (53:12):
All right, we are
leaving Fantasyland and going to
Tomorrowland and toTomorrowland Speedway.
My favorite land this is 32inches or taller, meant for all
ages.
Put the pedal to the metal inyour very own hot rod and cruise
along a scenic miniaturemotorway.
So drivers start your engines, you're taking the wheel of a
(53:35):
gas-powered car and strapyourself in for an exciting,
scenic drive.
Now, if you have some kids thatare a little bit smaller, as
long as you meet those heightrequirements, the adults are
probably going to have to do thegas pedal while the kids steer
that kind of thing.
But it is designed for thosesmaller racers, and so I put
over I went back and forth onthis.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
I used to say
underrated.
Okay.
Because our kids didn't carehow to drive.
They just wanted to bang aroundand have fun.
Now they actually want to drive.
Well, right, it's just boring.
Now, yeah, this is like goingon a drive and I think that's
where mine has changed too, alittle bit Now, like no one will
still like, bang, bang bang alittle bit.
Speaker 1 (54:17):
A little bit you know
, and I think this is one
Disneyland.
Way better.
Disneyland's is so much better,so I think that's why I'm
putting this one at over.
Speaker 2 (54:27):
I put properly Okay,
it's usually 15, 20 minutes.
If it's more than that, it's avery busy day in the park.
Yeah.
And so yeah, I say properly Icould have gone overrated too.
But again, if you've got littlekids that just want to bang
around and have fun, this is avery fun.
It could be underrated for you.
Right.
Because you come off this trackand having fun and laughing.
Speaker 1 (54:47):
Yeah, it's making
those memories with your kids,
yeah, but now it's just going ona drive.
Now it's just what it's likefor us now, yeah, yeah, all
right.
So we're gonna be intomorrowland for a while now,
and so, uh, tron light cycle runspeed across a world with no
horizons in a high stakes racebased on the disney sci-fi film
(55:07):
tron legacy.
You must be 48 inches or taller.
It's a thrill ride big drops,dark.
Um, you definitely have thatattraction.
Photography I can't speak toomuch on this one because I
personally have not ridden it.
I have heard some mixed thingson this one.
Zach can share more, but andsome of the mixed things I've
heard is sometimes for how longyou wait, no matter how you got
(55:31):
in line, like they used to dovirtual queue and everything
like the rides just over soquickly.
But I can't share because Ihaven't experienced it.
So, zach, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (55:41):
Okay, so those are
very valid criticisms.
This is a.
What is it?
90 seconds, 100 seconds, something like that Like it is
not a long ride.
A long ride.
However, this is the launch, and the outside part in the
vehicle is, unlike anything else.
You've ever rollercoaster, you've ever done right.
Right.
(56:01):
The way it can get long 60 plusminutes.
The queue here sucks.
There's no story to it, but themusic outside is amazing.
Like it's just over the topAmazing music.
I do love that.
With all that said, I wentproperly rated.
Okay.
Am I waiting 60 minutes for this?
If I've done it, if I haven'tdone?
(56:23):
It before yeah, now I'm gettinga Lightning Lane single pass
for it, so I'm not waiting to 60minutes, but I still want to do
this.
Yeah.
Is it worth the hype Because itis so unique?
I agree it is Okay.
It is properly rated, in myopinion bordering on overrated.
But the fact that it is so fastand the right vehicle is so
(56:46):
different and it is unlikeanything else you've done,
that's why I'm going properlyrated okay.
Speaker 1 (56:52):
Do you wish it were
longer?
Though I don't, or you don'tknow if they could have done it
that way.
Speaker 2 (56:57):
I don't know if you,
because the story of the
attraction.
I don't know if you could havedone it longer.
I wish they may have made thequeue better, but again, I don't
know how they could haveinteracted more with the queue.
Okay.
If the queue was better again,I don't mind waiting in a 60
minute queue if it's a goodqueue.
Right, this one sucks.
Yeah, I think they could havedone a better job with the queue
(57:20):
.
Okay, but properly rated.
Do it once and then just getmulti-passes.
It is worth the hype becauseit's so unique.
If it was like any othercoaster and you just sat in it
and it did this, I might sayoverrated.
Speaker 1 (57:34):
All right.
Speaker 2 (57:34):
But the vehicle.
Speaker 1 (57:36):
It's just so
different.
Speaker 2 (57:37):
It's so different,
especially at night.
Whole other level.
Do this at night.
It is so nice.
Speaker 1 (57:43):
Okay, all right night
it is so nice.
Okay, all right now.
Space mountain blast off on arip-roaring rocket into the
furthest reaches of outer spaceon this roller coaster ride in
the dark.
44 inches or taller.
So kids, tweens, teens, adults, thrill ride.
Speaker 4 (58:01):
Big drops, again dark
when you're in the dark, it
feels like it is, though, soyou're zooming through the.
Speaker 1 (58:05):
It feels like it is,
though.
So you're zooming through thegalaxy, dipping green into the
inky blackness as a futuristicsoundtrack echoes all around you
.
You're flying past shootingstars and celestial satellites
and all of that good stuff.
So Zach has talked about thisride time and time again, and
the queue and Star Tunnel andall of that stuff.
Star Tunnel.
(58:25):
So I put properly.
Thank you, I put properly thankyou, you're welcome.
I do prefer the one indisneyland.
I like the way you sit in thatone better than the one here.
Speaker 2 (58:39):
But I put properly
well, I don't like sitting next
to people.
Um, as much as I talk aboutthis right now, I I love it.
I agree, properly rated.
It's not over, it's not under,it's properly rated.
Always has usually a 45 to 60minute wait I love.
I'm not nostalgic about thisright Cause I didn't write it as
a kid, but I'm nostalgic aboutthe nostalgia of the right.
(58:59):
Does that make sense?
Yes, I love the music.
I love the theming to it, theretro 80s, early you know, late
80s, early 90s theming to it.
I love that.
I love the queue.
I love the details in the queue.
I love all the Easter eggs.
Is it the fastest coaster?
Is it the most thrillingcoaster?
No, but every time I'm alwayssmiling and just having a great
(59:22):
time on this coaster.
The overall attraction I justlove.
I know eventually it will getrefurbed, so I just want to
enjoy this for what it is now.
I love just the nostalgia ofthe nostalgia.
Okay, properly rated.
I want to go underrated but Ican't because it's usually got a
long wait and I don't mindwaiting 60 minutes in the Star
Tunnel.
Right.
I just don't Okay.
(59:43):
I'm good, so properly rated.
I love, love, love SpaceMountain.
This may be one of my favoriteattractions in Walt Disney World
, especially Magic Kingdom.
Speaker 1 (59:53):
Mm-hmm, okay, all
right.
Tomorrowland Transit AuthorityPeople Movers yes, embark on a
10-minute tour of Tomorrowlandaboard this mass transit system
of the future Any height, allages, slow, ride, move, move
above and beyond.
Board an elevated tram for aleisurely voyage through
Tomorrowland.
During your narrated tour, gobehind the scenes of attractions
(01:00:15):
like Buzz Lightyear's SpaceRanger, spin, space Mountain and
Star Traders retail shop, andyou also see like models of
Progress City that was aprototype for Epcot, and you get
different views of the castlewhile you're on this as well.
So, um, I have put underratedagreed underrated I don't think
(01:00:35):
you know you're not waiting longin this.
I mean, it's just constantlymoving.
You're constantly boardingpeople and deboarding people and
everything and um, you know theviews you get.
It's a chance to relax, take itall in in appreciate
Tomorrowland a little bit moreAgain, see different views of
the castle as well.
We've said it time and timeagain I wish you could get a
pass like oh, let me stay on onemore time.
(01:00:56):
One more ride.
Yep, yep, so underrated.
Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
I agree, especially
at night.
This is amazing at night.
I remember our first time wewent and I was talking to my
brother.
I was like what is that he goes?
Oh, it just takes you around.
Adventure.
Uh front, I can't talk takesyou around tomorrow.
I'm like that's it just takesyou around, he goes.
Yeah.
I'm like that's stupid man.
I'm gonna go back to 2019, zach, and smack him in the face,
yeah but you didn't know, didn'tknow, you didn't know this is.
(01:01:23):
it's just a great.
Everything you said said loveit.
Do it at night, Do it duringthe day.
Just tell the cast member pass.
I'm just going to stay on.
Yeah, you can't kick me off.
See what they say it's great, completely underrated, just love
it.
Yeah, everything you said, loveit.
Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
Yep, all right.
Walt Disney's Carousel ofProgress.
Travel through the 20th centuryand marvel at the evolution of
technology.
During this classic audioanimatronic show Any high, all
ages, you're following anAmerican family over four
generations of progress andwatch technology transform their
lives during each era.
(01:01:59):
Learn how the technologicalmarvels of that particular day
and age made life morecomfortable and paved the way
for unimaginable innovations.
You hear the song there is agreat, big, beautiful tomorrow,
and so this one Tread carefullyI put properly.
(01:02:22):
I feel there's certain scenes, especially the last one, that
maybe could be updated slightlymore, just because, again,
technology is always changing.
You know they have tried tomake updates here and there.
I think they need to updatejust again a little bit, but I
always enjoy it.
It is a chance to get out ofthe heat as well.
(01:02:43):
You're on here for a littlewhile.
To get out of the heat as well.
You're on here for a littlewhile.
You know it's something I don'tnecessarily have to do every
time, but maybe at least everyother time.
Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
I hate that you mute
me and I can't reach that far to
mute you.
Sometimes I need Johnny's nobutton.
Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
We tend to write it
almost every time.
Now, me and Nolan wrote it.
It without you, I wrote it,watched it, whatever without you
, the last time it's because youtwo were having a tantrum
anyway, you needed to time outyeah, anyways, it's, it's one.
We don't do it necessarilyevery time, but it's it's kind
of like what zach was sayingwith the little mermaid earlier
(01:03:23):
when you don't do it, you feellike you've missed something.
Yeah, I went underrated.
Speaker 2 (01:03:30):
Of course you did.
Of course.
Speaker 1 (01:03:31):
I did.
Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
I do agree the last
scene could use some updating.
But again, we've talked aboutthis before.
What are you going to update itto?
I know that's the thing right.
Leave the other scenes, leavethe turn of the century, leave
those, because I think they'revery important in the telling of
progress Right.
Right.
So yeah, underrated Everythingyou said, except you know, I
(01:03:54):
guess if you have to get out ofthe heat, it's a great 20 minute
show.
Love it.
I love the.
The, the old grease.
Smell of it, I don't know, Ijust always that smell, just
sticks with me.
Smell of it, I don't know, Ijust always that smell just
sticks with me, okay.
Speaker 1 (01:04:09):
If you've been on it,
you know what I'm talking about
, but it is, I mean, and it'sinteresting to to see some of
the contraptions and stuff theyused, you know, and yeah there
was turn.
Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
I mean, it was like
state-of-the-art for them.
I know it's really cool yeahyeah, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
So now astro orb
again.
At the timing of this recording, it is currently being
refurbished.
It's supposed to open laterthis summer, in 2025.
So, astro Orbiter, it's anyheight, all ages.
Slower ride.
It's a.
You're piloting a spaceshiphigh in the sky amid a gleaming
constellation of planets and, yeah, you are pretty high up
(01:04:45):
there.
Speaker 2 (01:04:46):
Really high up there.
You have to take an.
Are pretty high up there reallyhigh up there.
Speaker 1 (01:04:47):
You have to take an
elevator to get up there.
Um, sometimes the wait time canbe longer just because of that
whole process it's a very slowload and unload.
That's the thing yeah, a lothigher than I thought it would
be actually like it looks highup there, but then when you're
on it and you're tilting alittle bit a certain way, it's
like okay, if you're not big onheights, um, but anyway it I put
(01:05:12):
overrated I put properly ratedokay, um, I want to do it at
night well, I'm not doing itagain okay, fair
Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
enough wait again.
It's like a 30 minute waitusually, but a lot of that is
just loading and unloading.
Yeah, so it's usually not thatlong of a line.
There's usually not a lot ofhype around it.
No, I don't you know don't hearmuch about it, so I'm not
properly rated.
Okay, all right, moving on Allright.
Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
Next is Buzz.
Speaker 2 (01:05:36):
Lightyear.
Speaker 1 (01:05:37):
Buzz Lightyear Space
Ranger Spin.
Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
Now it is supposed to
get some love and updates.
Speaker 1 (01:05:48):
It is, uh, maybe
later this year.
Was it later this year or earlynext year?
Um, so that was just recentlyannounced.
It is currently open.
Right now, though, fire yourlaser to earn points and defeat
the evil emperor, zerg, as youjourney through a galactic space
battle.
Any height, all ages, slow ride, a little bit of spinning, um,
you know, not.
Today, zerg, buzz lightyear'sarch nemesis from toy story 2,
is stealing batteries fromhelpless toys, and so you're
(01:06:09):
boarding this star cruiser andyou know you're trying to aim at
these targets, and all of that,um.
It can be super fun for kids.
However, there's another ridesimilar to this um in hollywood
studios that I prefer over BuzzLightyear's Space Ranger Spin,
(01:06:31):
and this one always has a superlong line, and I think once
there's some love andrefurbishment to it, I will try
it again, but right now I'mgoing to say it's overrated.
Speaker 2 (01:06:41):
I agree, overrated
for now.
Yeah, so they're going to bedoing some refurbing on it.
You talked about that.
What they're really?
Yeah, so they're going to bedoing some refurbing on it.
You talked about that.
What they're really going to dois they're taking the laser
guns and you can move themaround instead of just being
stationary on the attraction, which you can do in Disneyland.
Okay.
So I think that will make it alittle better.
And again, we went on this whenthe kids were smaller and
didn't really know what to do,and they did not have a good
(01:07:03):
time on this.
Yeah, um, so when it getsredone we will definitely go on
it again and maybe our ratingwill change, but yeah, but it's
very well themed, very.
You know you're right, in toystory the buzz like your stuff.
So yeah, very well themed, butfor now, with the weight, I'm
going to overrate it okay, allright, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:07:24):
Monsters inc laugh
floor participate in a hilarious
gag, tastic, interactive comedyshow starring monsters inc.
And company.
So it's a show any height, allages.
Um, it's, you know, meant to bea funny show, interactive.
These scare actors love toengage the audience.
Don't be surprised if youbecome part of the show.
And so I put overrated I did aswell.
Speaker 2 (01:07:48):
Overrated no, I put
properly rated oh okay, I didn't
put overrated because there'snot any hyper on the show there
used to be yeah but there's notanymore because I didn't think
it was that good.
I think the turtle talk withcrush is much better.
Speaker 1 (01:08:06):
Yes, I would agree.
Turtle Talk with Crush is justalways hilarious.
Speaker 2 (01:08:10):
But this I just did
not find the couple times we did
do it I did not find it wasthat funny yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:08:16):
Sometimes they ask
you ahead of time to submit
things to you and it's not asmuch on the spot.
I don't know how it is now.
Yeah, but yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:08:24):
But I wanted to say
overrated.
But there's no hype around thisat all, right, so I couldn't
say overrated, I can't sayunderrated, because it's not
that great, so I just wentproperly rated, okay.
Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
So all right before
we jump to the next.
So you had one more on here.
I added another after that ohmy gosh, so we're almost done.
Almost done so two more.
This next one is hanging out inthe hub, people watching in
front of the castle.
So we've talked about this alot.
You know, just hang out, takeit all in.
You know the smells of thepopcorn carts that will lead you
(01:08:58):
to buying popcorn.
Looking at the castle, if therehappens to be a show going on,
okay, enjoy the stage show, butreally just people watch.
To be a show going on, okay, enjoy the stage show, but really
just people watch.
Um, you know whether you areseeing someone getting proposed
to, or uh, or family membersthat are surprising each other,
because that's, that's one ofthe best that I've enjoyed
seeing.
You know, because sometimesthey are trying to surprise
(01:09:21):
other family members didn't tellthem they were going to be
there and then they meet infront of the castle and
capturing those moments, seeingthose moments.
Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
Did you see that reel
that Disney Parks put up about
this daughter getting herpicture taken in front of the
castle and then her mom goes oh,you need one more thing, and it
was a button that said bigsister on it.
Speaker 1 (01:09:40):
Oh, I didn't know
that.
Speaker 2 (01:09:41):
And the daughter just
lost it.
Speaker 1 (01:09:43):
Oh, that's the kind
of stuff that happens.
Yeah, daughter, just like lostit.
Oh, that's like that's the kindof stuff that happens, yeah,
yeah.
So I put underrated because youdon't really hear about people
just wanting to hang out in thatarea, but it's an amazing area
to just take in all the sightsand smells and everything.
Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
So I put properly
rated oh, okay because I don't
like sitting around 25 000people.
People, well see.
Speaker 1 (01:10:06):
I loved it when the
parks had just been reopening
from the pandemic and everything, and so there weren't so many
people and you really could justtake it all in.
Speaker 2 (01:10:19):
But I do agree with
you Like.
This is the castle I have readis photographed 30,000 times, at
least a day.
I believe, it A day.
Yeah, there's so much magicthat happens here.
It is an icon and I can't waitto write about it in the book.
That's my last thing I'mwriting about, but, yeah, I just
(01:10:39):
don't like being around thatmany people, so I put properly
ready, because there's always alot of people there.
But I do understand, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
Yeah.
So the other thing that I addednow, I know you know there's
shows and there's parades andall that, but we would be
talking to you for hours still.
But I did want to put this onein here because, happily ever
after fireworks.
Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
Oh, how did I forget
that?
Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
You know it, it left
for a little while and it came
back, so that tells you rightthere.
Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
They got rid of it,
yeah, with a horrible show.
Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
But the fact that
they listened and brought it
back says a lot.
So, happily, ever afterfireworks Do not miss this
firework extravaganza.
I mean, there's lights, lasers, special effects, projections on
Main Street.
It's about 18 minutes.
You don't have to wait for twohours to hold a spot for this?
(01:11:30):
No, no there are so many placesto see it, are you going to
necessarily get the best view?
No, not necessarily.
But if you're right up close tothe castle, yes, you're going
to see the fireworks and theprojections on the castle more
clear, but you're going to missso much more.
Speaker 2 (01:11:50):
I have been up there
close on the castle, more clear,
but you're gonna miss so muchmore I have.
Speaker 4 (01:11:51):
I have been up there
close to the castle, me and ryan
just kind of ended up there youdo not see the fireworks?
Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
that well?
Oh okay, you really don't,because you're focused on, like,
just the castle.
You don't see the fireworksthat well.
Speaker 1 (01:11:56):
So you know, go a
little further down main street,
you know, and watch it, take itall in, you know.
Uh, yes, you may not see theprojections on the castle quite
as clearly, but you're seeingthe whole show.
But this it just, it reallycaptures the heart, you know,
and like the heroes and thestory that it tells and the and
(01:12:17):
the beloved songs of differentmovies.
And what is that one?
I say this every time and Iforget the one that you like so
much, the from Hercules.
Why?
Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
am I going?
You always put me on the spot.
I can't think.
Speaker 1 (01:12:30):
And every time I've
had to look it up after.
Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
Hercules song.
Go the distance, go thedistance, yes.
Speaker 1 (01:12:36):
Yes, and so it just
really gets you in the feels and
happily ever after, like thatsong itself too, and so just an
amazing story had to include it.
People love too, and so just anamazing story had to include it
.
People love it again.
Speaker 2 (01:12:51):
They got rid of it
brought it back.
I think properly rated.
Because of that.
Okay, I was gonna say you can'tsay under or over rated,
because there's always like 50000 people there, yeah, so you
have to say properly there's noother, no other.
I completely agree.
Yeah, properly rated.
I like to watch it by the veryback by the train station, that
way I can sneak out beforeeverybody.
I like to watch it by the veryback by the train station, that
way I can sneak out beforeeverybody else tries to get out
to the monorail or the boats orthe buses.
Speaker 1 (01:13:12):
Right, I get that.
I mean, and yeah, it justdepends on what you want to,
what you want to see, I mean, and there's the backside of the
castle and everything likefurther down in Fantasyland and
stuff that you can watch.
Speaker 2 (01:13:22):
Ryan and I timed it
really great one time and we
watched it as we were comingover the second lift hill of Big
Thunder Mountain.
Yeah, great Like it was a partyon that coaster.
It was so much fun.
Yeah.
All right.
