Speaker 1 (00:21):
Hello and welcome to
Circle of Parks podcast, episode
number 204.
Today we are going to talkabout our trip, planning for our
upcoming trip that's justaround the corner, to Walt
Disney World.
There is far too much to seeand do.
We are here to help guide youthrough, but before we do that
(00:42):
we must talk Disney merch.
So this week DisneyStorecom hasreleased some new Star Wars
Starbucks coffee mugs featuringthere's three separate ones.
They're $24.99 each, featuringTatooine.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Tatooine.
That's where Luke is from.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Okay, Geonosis.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Geonosis is where
they made the droids during the
war.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Okay, clone war, and
then Kashyyyk.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Kashyyyk is where the
Wookiees live.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Okay, okay, so they
have exactly pretty much what
Zach just said on the mugs.
Besides the names andeverything it has, those
characters, or the droids, orthe Wookiees.
Yep, so again, a new collection.
It's the Discovery Series, priced at $24.99, and that is
(01:40):
this week's Disney merch.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Thank you everybody
for joining us.
We're trip planning.
We are.
It's been so long.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
It has been like a
year for me and the boys Long.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Well, I've been a
couple of times but it hasn't
been like Like a vacation, Likeno.
It's been.
I know you're working in Disney, but it's.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah.
It's work right, right, right.
Yeah, it's work.
Right, right, right.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Things you have to
get done where this is different
, yeah yes, as you listen tothis, we will be on our way to
atlanta on wednesday yes, we'rerecording this on sunday.
Uh, we'll be driving halfway toatlanta on wednesday.
I have to work wednesdaymorning and then, as soon as I
get home, get the car packed upand driving to Atlanta.
(02:23):
We're staying at a differenthotel this year than we have in
the past just because, honestly,I have a brand new car and I
just don't want to leave it inan unsecured lot by the airport.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
I just don't, and it
puts us on an on another side
too.
That might, may or may not helpwith traffic in the morning the
next day and right downtownright and it is close to some
restaurants.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Yeah, we're staying
at the Marriott Marquis.
If you watch Adam the Woo atall on YouTube, he stayed there
recently and they used it.
It's really unique architectureon the inside and they used it
in the film the Matrix and quitea few other like sci-fi films,
so I think it'd be really cool.
Yeah, so just a short stay andthen the next morning.
The next morning, oh, I didn'tsay what we do here.
(03:09):
Did I no we're ready to go, man, yes, uh.
So if you're just new here, wehave a lot of new listeners.
Thank you so much for joiningus.
We have two main goals here.
One break your week up, takeyou to walt disney world helps
us.
We hope it helps you and fromsome of the messages from
listeners it does and weappreciate that and we're glad
to know that we are able to helpyou with that and help you have
(03:32):
a better Walt Disney Worldvacation.
That's what we want to do.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
That's what we want
to do.
And he's Zach.
I'm Brittany.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Yep.
So all right, Moving on toThursday.
We To Thursday.
We're going to wake up early.
I think Thursday may be ourmost stressful day.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Well, yeah, just a
tad.
So we need to wake up early toleave Atlanta to head to Walt
Disney World, because Disney isdoing this thing where you know
if you're staying on property, then the day you check in you
can go to the water parks thatthey have and this is the first
year they're going to have thissummer Both of them open at the
same time again Blizzard Beachand Typhoon Lagoon.
(04:07):
So on the day of check-in youcan go to those parks.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Yes, and so we did.
Typhoon Lagoon last summerLoved it Great.
This summer we wanted to try.
This would be the onlyopportunity we're going to have.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
So we're going to
have, uh, so we're going to go
to blizzard beach.
So hopefully we'll leaveatlanta six, no later than six
o'clock in the morning, and getdown there noonish, noon, one
o'clock maybe, and then they'llgive us a few hours before they
close at six to maybe not do allthe things but get some of the
bigger slides in for you and theboys, and I'm just going to
enjoy their lazy river.
They, I thought typhoonlagoon's lazy river was big.
Looking at the park map forblizzard beach, this is like
(04:51):
massive double the size, itseems, so you will find me there
all afternoon so we're planningaround four hours here, no more
than four hours.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Um, the boys they
want to do the one big one that
goes straight down like throughthe mountain.
Yeah, and then they want to dolike the slide racers, which I
always usually beat them on thatjust because I'm bigger, right,
but yeah now.
We're looking forward to that, and then we will go to our
resort.
We are staying at disney'scoronado springs now.
We stayed here before yes, several years ago a long time
(05:22):
ago, probably the worst trip todisney took.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
Not because of where
we were staying, just how we
planned the trip out.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
But we are not
staying in a normal room.
We're staying in the GrandDestino Tower with a water view
room.
Yes, so it's a differentexperience.
Yes, and we're actually goingto enjoy the resort this time.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Yes, because we
didn't experience like any of
the restaurants or the pool oranything last time, so we will
have plenty of time to do thatthis trip.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
So Thursday, May 29th
is Brittany and I's 15th
wedding anniversary.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
And we are going to
eat dinner at Three Bridges Bar
and Grill At Coronado.
At Coronado, it's in the middleof the lake there and there's
literally three bridges thattake you there, right, so it's
called Three Bridges.
I don't have the menu put up,but it's got some very unique
items there and I'm lookingforward to eating outside.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
Yes, on the lake, on
the water, yeah, and I mean it
has unique items, but then someof them I remember, like they
still have like burgers and likechips and queso, because, of
course, being a parent, a mom, Itry to look for like, well,
what are the boys going to eat?
Parent, a mom, I try to lookfor like, well, what are the
boys going to eat?
And they have like steak fritesand all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Yeah, it's going to
be a delicious anniversary
dinner, and then the boys willprobably want to go back to the
pool.
Yes, and I'm going to go.
Yeehaw, bop.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
You're leaving me on
our anniversary.
I'm going to leave you onanniversary to see yeehaw bop.
Well, I'll just be at the poolbar because this may be the last
time we see yeehaw bop for along time, yeah, so all right,
but that's our thursday that'sour thursday, friday, epcot,
epcot, and we're not going torope, drop you know, you guys
that have been with us for along time know that we typically
(07:00):
rope drop all the parks.
And then, um our last year'svisit, when we came back, we
were like I think we're donerope dropping ryan was like I'm
not doing rope dropping anymore.
Our oldest dude's like I'm doneyeah, we just want to sleep in a
little more and uh, but we're,we're going to try some things
while we're there with themulti-pass and all of that as
well, to to report back to youlater on and how all that goes.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yes, and we didn't
say that in the beginning.
We will be using multi-pass forall four parks and lightning
lanes, or single passes for allthe attractions.
Erica, travel planner erica, hooked us up with all that well,
we paid for it, but she tookcare of all of that right and,
uh, we're going to do a separateepisode after the trip to tell
you how much we paid for it,which was more than I I was
(07:43):
expecting.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
And did we think it
was worth it.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Right.
But you know, when we say we'renot going to rope drop, like
we're not going to get therelate, late either, but you know
we're not going to be there soearly waiting in line to rope
drop, but we'll probably bethere shortly after regular park
hours start.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Well, let's talk
about it.
So our first lightning lane isliving with the land at 10 30
yeah, so I see us getting theremaybe 9, 30, 10 o'clock yeah,
something like that.
Um, so I don't want to get inthe multi-passes, but the only
reason why I'm saying no to nineis that's when the park opens.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
I'm gonna be crowded,
so I want to wait till at least
nine maybe we get on the bus toleave coronado at nine yeah
maybe we go to the quick serviceplace get a little breakfast.
Right, then go yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
That'd be better.
Yeah, probably, okay, yeah, allright.
And then at 1130, we haveSpaceship Earth.
Yes, and then at 105, ryan andI are doing Guardians of the
Galaxy Cosmic Rewind.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Correct.
And then during that time I'msure, like Nolan and I, we might
go to the Moana exhibit ormaybe ride Spaceship Earth again
, if it's a slower day, or we'llfind something else to do and
we can get a figment betweenthese times and get our picture
with Walt hang out with Walt fora bit Right.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
And then after that,
after Guardians, we're going to
eat lunch at the contemporary, not the contemporary.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Connections.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Connections Eatery.
Yes, not the cafe, the eaterywhich is the quick service
restaurant, because we have thequick service dining plan and
this is the first place we'regoing to do a live dining review
.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
And you said this is
after Cosmic Rewind.
After Cosmic Rewind BecauseRyan.
We won't be the only yeahbecause Ryan loves Cosmic Rewind
as much as Zach does.
But just yesterday he was like,oh, because I was telling him
the times for y'all and he'slike I don't know if I should
ride that right after eatinglunch and I was like, yeah, we
might need to push the lunchtime back.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
We'll do lunch after
this, so lunch will probably be
around 1.30.
Okay, but we will do a livedining review from the
Connections Eatery.
And their food there is good.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Yeah, and they have
like what burger pizza salads
they have burger pizza, butthey're elevated.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Right, it's not your
burger from Cosmic Rewind and
it's not your.
You mean from Cosmic Rays, sorry, cosmic Rays, thank you.
And it's not your puffy pizzafrom Pizzafari.
Right, it's elevated.
Yeah, so is it going to be asgood as a pizza window?
I don't know Right, but we'regoing to tell you about it while
we're eating it.
Yes, so look for it.
(10:12):
We're going to do quite a fewof those at some of the quick
service restaurants that aremore unique that we haven't been
to yet.
Mm-hmm.
All right so.
So then and after that we havesome time to kill, kind of just
walk around, stroll, walk ourfood off.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Right Go, do the
Coca-Cola, do Beverly Go do the
Beverly Challenge?
Speaker 2 (10:30):
No, I'm not doing the
Beverly again, I am not doing
it.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Y'all have seen it on
video twice now.
I think I am not doing theBeverly again, but go to what is
it called Club Cool, club Cool.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Yes, I know, taste
good, yeah, and just relax a
little bit like, yeah, like sitin that area where the music's
playing and everything in thegarden, with walk, yeah, and
just hang out, because we haveremys at three o'clock and so I
think we can stroll a little bitthrough the world showcase, so
just take our time, right chillwell, and I think like like uh,
(11:03):
after eating and stuff and afterchilling and everything, I
wouldn't mind, while we're onthat side, any other rides that
we haven't done, like Soarin'.
I forgot about Soarin'.
Definitely do Soarin'.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
You know, like once
we get all of those in, then
maybe just the whole evening onstay in the World Showcase side.
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
I'm good with that.
Yeah, because the boys areactually now enjoying right
world showcase.
They want to go into thesecountries and get these weird
unique snacks.
They want to do that.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Yeah, three years ago
they did not right right so
we're going to take advantage ofthat, and they do like looking
around at the shops and they'rea little more than they used to
too.
They do, yeah, and then theevening, we're going to take
advantage of that, and they dolike looking around at the shops
in there a little more thanthey used to too.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
They do, yeah, and
then the evening we're going to
eat dinner at the MexicoPavilion, at the quick service
restaurant, which I cannot thinkof the name of because I don't
have to pull it up.
We did not do any planning forthis.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
No, but I thought
that was the reason why you
wanted to pull this up yourcomputer out.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
No, your computer out
, though, but there we are also
going to do a live dining review, because we haven't eaten there
before and everybody saysthat's probably the best quick
service place in world.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Showcase yes, I'm
trying to.
Is it la cantina de san anhel?
Speaker 2 (12:15):
as long as I don't
have a hundred and forty five
dollar steak on my menu, thenyes, that would be it I just
typed in quick service and thatpopped up.
Let me just see the that wouldbe it yeah, okay, and let's see
lunch and dinner.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Yeah, so, like an
entree, like you can get a rice
bowl with like chicken for 15dollars, or beef, or barbacoa
beef or shrimp for 15.75 theyhave tacos day, barbacoa, and,
yes, everything's like 15, 16dollars um, and then their kids
meals there, um, they haveempanadas con queso, chicken
(12:47):
tenders, chicken tacos for like9, 50 so I can see nolan getting
chicken tacos, yeah, and then, well, he's on a kids menu, he's
on full adult now and then theyhave churros.
Hey, I got, I got a point toprove what churros and Disney
were all in certain places, soyou know.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
You and Erica are
going to be, which will be on
their podcast after our trip, and I think it may get a little
heated between you two.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
When it comes to
churros, yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Once Upon a Park
podcast for Erica and her
husband, johnny Great podcast.
They've wanted us on before, but our schedule has just been
so crazy.
But after we get back from ourtrip I think it will be better.
So, and then we're going towatch Luminous.
Yes, I'm giving it another shot.
Right, I want to, because I'mstill confused with it.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Okay, and I think we
need to sit in a different
location than we did last time.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
I think we need to be
on the non-World Showcase side.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Okay, what do you?
Think Like where it splits.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Yes, kind of like
over there yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
What do you think,
although it gets really crowded
there too.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
It does, but I think
that might would be possibly
better.
So like where you choose to goMexico or Canada.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Correct.
Okay, yeah, so we'll see Okay, and yeah, so we'll see Okay.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
And then the next day
, saturday, yes, we picked a
Saturday for Hollywood Studios.
Well, hey, it's okay.
Hey, the weather right now, though, currently.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
You're going to jinx
it.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
I'm knocking on wood.
Right now it is like all theother days are going to be like
90, humid, all that, but thehollywood studios day next
saturday.
It's showing a height of 83degrees and if you know, this
time of year in orlando and inthe theme parks, that sounds
marvelous.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
So yeah we'll see, I
know it'll probably be like the
hottest, 90 and humid andthunderstorms all right.
So we're doing ho Studios Again, not rope dropping, no, the
park opens at 9.
Our first Lightning Lane is forTwilight Zone Tower of Terror
at 11.15 am.
So I think we get there.
(14:54):
Like we do at Epcot, we leavethe hotel at 9.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
And then arrive
around 9.30.
Either eat before we leave thehotel or eat something when we
get here, just to kind of tie usover.
I think before we leave thehotel or eat something when we
get here, just to kind of tie usover, I think, before we leave
the hotel.
And then, since our first rideisn't until 1115, there's a
couple of things I may do at anearlier time, but I need to look
up the show times.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
You want to do the
new Mermaid show.
Yes, what a Mermaid show.
We can do that.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
As of May 27th there
will be two new shows in
Hollywood Studios and they'vedone cast member previews and
like the previews for likesocial media creators and stuff.
And so the Little Mermaid oneis like a live musical and there
(15:40):
is a separate video that Ididn't share in our stories that
had Jodi Benson who was thevoice of Little Mermaid, the
original Little Mermaid in 1989,1990 timeframe, and she was
tearing up and just so proud ofit and everything like that
actually choked me up when I waswatching that.
But she, she seems to be veryproud of how they did it, so
(16:03):
that made me a little moreexcited to see it.
And, um, then there's a newvillain show that took the place
of where you had lightningmcqueen.
Um, like when you walk past, uh, the rock and roller coaster
and um I the things that I wasreading.
People said they did a prettygood job well, we'll go to it.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Yeah, we'll all go to
it so um.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
So, in some of the
times that we don't have a lot
going on on this day and again, maybe one of them we can do
before our first ride yeah, Ithink we could probably do both
okay because while me and ryango do tower of terror twice
because you and no one are notgoing to do it, what y'all can
go do pew, pew or something oh,I'm sure we'll be doing.
I am known to do that withnolan at least three plus times
(16:49):
each time.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
So and then we after
that.
We planned it so we would havethe afternoon in galaxy's edge.
Like we wanted to spend sometime in galaxy's edge.
So we have single passes forall four of us for Star Wars
Rise of the Resistance at twoo'clock yes.
And then we have reservationsfor Oga's Cantina at 425.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Yeah buddy Can't wait
.
They're not rushing me out thistime.
No, they haven't really everdone that.
No, they haven't.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
And then we are going
to do dinner at Docking Bay 7.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Around.
What time are we doing that so?
Speaker 2 (17:27):
I see Toy Story.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
Mania is at 6.
I mean, it's just right there,it's right there.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
Yeah, and then we
didn't talk about lunch.
We're going to have lunch atABC, commissary.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Oh yes, and Ryan is
super excited for that.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
We had debated either
this or Pizza Rizzo, because
Pizza Rizzo is closing like twodays after this.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
I know, but I don't
want the fluffy pizza, I don't
want puffy pizza.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
No, it's just puffy
pizza.
I said fluffy, fluffy pizza, yeah, and I know, johnny, I know
you love this stuff.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
But If it's like
pizza bar-y, then no, it's just
puffy pizza.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
He calls it like
pizza, it's just puffy pizza
yeah, he calls it rat pizza.
No, yeah, I know it's closing, but you know what I want to get
that buffalo, chicken, buffalo.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Grilled cheese
Grilled.
Oh so yeah, because when youtold Ryan reminded him we were
eating there, he's like, yes, sogood.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
And I don't think
we'll do a live dining review
from there.
No, because we've eaten therebefore and talked about it.
Yeah, but Docking Bay 7, wewill be doing a live dining
review because we haven't eatenthere before and it is a very
unique quick service dining menuas well.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
So will we do that
after Toy Story Mania?
After Oga's or after Oga's.
Okay, because at Oga's, though,we do want to try to share they
, because, at Oga's, though, wedo want to try to share.
They added a couple of thingsto their snack menu.
Now remember.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
And we wanted to try
just to see if it was similar to
what we had in California.
Okay, well, here's the thing.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Do you want to try to
move Toy Story menu to seven,
because it's at six.
We have Slinky Dog at eight.
Why don't we try to move thatto seven so we have more time in
Galaxy's Edge, like ask.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Erica, or you're
going to try, I can do it right
now, okay, anyway, so while he'slooking at that, but that's
what we plan, you know, because, even though we've gone to
Galaxy's Edge before andeverything, usually how things
have worked out is, you know, ohyep, we're going to go do this,
this, but now we got to go backon the other side of the park
and things like that.
(19:24):
Uh, so now we can spend moretime, starting at two o'clock
until like six-ish maybe, whenyou include the rides and ogas
and docking bay seven yeah, andwe can, I want to do, uh, star
tours as well.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Yeah, and we got to
do one man's dream we got to go
through the waltz.
Well, we'll figure it out butwe'll have time, but we're gonna
have time we can have time evenbefore star wars, like going
into galaxy's edge yeah, sowe'll have time for all that
stuff yeah and then we're notclosing the park with slinky dog
, but we wanted to do it atnight, so we have this, uh
lightning lane for eight o'clockand then britney's on a mission
(20:04):
this trip I sure hope so.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
It's been since the
very first time that we went to
disney in 2019 as a family.
I have not seen phantasmicsince then, because was it two
trips ago?
Or last trip Two trips ago.
Two ago yes, got through likefive minutes of it and then we
(20:27):
don't know what happened andthey had to just stop the show.
We don't know if one of theactors got hurt or what, but
anyway.
So I was like, oh, I was goingto finally see it again and then
didn't get to.
So, hopefully, hopefully, hopefully, this time we will see
Fantasmic.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
Toy Story Mania has
been moved to 705.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
All right Yay.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
So that's that.
So, yeah, we're going to endthe night with Fantasmic and,
yeah, I'm looking forward tothat.
I'm looking forward to itbecause we haven't done it in a
very long time and it is areally good show.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
It is, and they
incorporate so many of the
characters from movies andeverything in it too, not just
what the main show is.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
um and like when the
boat goes through, and they're
all on there and everything thatjust really stuck out to me, uh
, the first time that we saw it,so and while we're talking
about travel planner erica doingall this stuff for us, let's
talk about her for a minuteplanning a vacation can be
overwhelming, but that's whereour new sponsor comes in.
You've heard us talk about herfor a long time and now she is

what we want.
She did it all.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
Yep, we didn't have
to keep up with the day wake for
anything nothing, all right.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
So sunday is our
first off day.
Yes, and this is our family offday, correct?
Uh, pool day at coronado yeahbuddy lunch.
We haven't talked about disneysprings in a long time.
We're gonna be going to disneysprings a few times on this trip
yes for lunch For lunch withthe quick service dining plan.
(23:05):
I think if you go back to one ofthe other getting the value out
of the dining plan, johnny saidthat polite pig is the best
value for your quick servicedining plan at Disney Springs.
We're going to go there forlunch.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
We are, and Zach and
Ryan really like barbecue, and
all that too.
Yes, yes.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
And then back to the
pool hanging out.
Yeah.
And then back to Disney Springsfor dinner.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
Yes, a little bit
later, dinner at 7 o'clock and
we're going to Summer House onthe Lake.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
We've watched so many
YouTubers eat here.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
It just looks really
good, it does.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
It does look
delicious.
The service looks great.
I was trying to pull up themenu to keep talking.
It just looks really delicious.
And yeah, we looked at Wine BarGeorge, but this had such a
much more of a variety on themenu that I just for everybody's
(24:02):
happiness yes, we decided to gohere instead of back to like
boathouse, right?
Yeah, the menu pulled up.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
I sure do so.
I mean, and you have starters, you know um, truffle fries,
prime beef meatballs.
You have potato salad, deviledeggs, spinach, artichoke dip,
guacamole, and then you know, you have your shrimp cocktails.
You have pizza, differentpizzas to choose from, different
(24:30):
salads, different pastas, tacos.
You have summer comfort likepicnic fried chicken basket,
crispy chicken, sandwich basket,prime cheeseburger.
There's steak frites here aswell.
And then you have things suchas florida fish of the moment,
(24:50):
crab cakes, mahi grouper fishand chips and more yeah, oh also
, we'll be doing a live diningreview at polite pig as well
correct the summer house on thelake.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
We're going to do a
full dining review afterwards.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Yes, and I am sure
our youngest especially will
want to also take on the cookiebar here the cookie?
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Yeah, yeah, no one.
No one in cookies.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
So this is still at
Summer House.
They have a cookie bar cookiesmade fresh daily and there's
tons of varieties.
I mean, you're going to haveyour chocolate chip and
everything as well, but thenthey have strawberry,
snickerdoodle, lemon, m&m,birthday cake, apple, oatmeal,
peanut butter, wild Thai bananaand more.
So I'm sure we will be gettingsomething, and it looks like
(25:34):
they even have things like RiceKrispie treats and brownies also
.
Ooh, they have a gluten-freefudge brownie.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
I'm out on dessert.
I know, fudge brownie.
I'm out on dessert.
I know I'm just.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
I can see him, nolan
for sure, yes, yeah, and then
I'm sure we'll be back at thepool I don't know for a third
time that day, but maybe maybeyou know the boys are, I know.
So monday another off day, well, kind of for y'all, for nolan
and I yes, not for zach, andwhat are you and nolan going to?
Do in the morning.
We have reservations at 9o'clock for Chef Mickey's
(26:08):
Character Breakfast Buffet.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Y'all have fun.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
We will.
So we have eaten at ChefMickey's once before, but it was
when it wasn't a buffet.
They were doing like familystyle dining at the time.
So now it's back to itstraditional buffet and you can
interact more with thecharacters and everything, and
nullen's really wanted to goback to this, which I just
noticed.
We need to make a correction onsomething for that what's that
(26:32):
um on my end.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
It just says you and
me.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
I don't think it
matters we need to talk to eric
on that I'm on it right now, oh,because it's under mine.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
We'll, yeah, we'll,
get that figured yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
so anyway, nolan and
I will be doing that and, uh,
looking forward to it, and Ithink after that, because we're
going to be on like the monorailloop of resorts, we may take
the monorail around to grandfloridian and to the polynesian
for a little while, just kind oflook around their lobbies,
maybe grab a little treat totake back or something, and then
(27:07):
we'll head back to our resortand have a pool day.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Meanwhile, ryan and I
are driving down the road to
Schmurner Versal.
Yeah, first time going toUniversal.
Yes, and Travel Planner Ericabooked everything for us.
Correct.
Me and Ryan have.
We're not doing Epic, thankfully, because that thing
looks like a mess now, that'swhat I'm hearing.
But I'm sure the other parkswill be plenty busy at.
(27:33):
I forgot Universal and Islandsof Adventure.
Ryan's been wanting to go, andso we have park hoppers and we
have the unlimited express passon top of that so we can do
everything in one day, uh, so Idon't even know what time the
park opens, but we're notstaying on property, so we're
(27:55):
not going to get early entry andwe have to go to will call
because I don't have thetechnology to do e-tickets, so
we got to go get physicaltickets at the will call booth
when we get there.
So, whatever time that is,we're going to go straight to
Hagrid's and get in line inwhatever it is an hour and a
half, two hours, whatever we'rethere, because the express pass
(28:15):
will get us through the linesfor the rest of the day.
You just can't use the expresspass at Hagrid's Right, and I've
actually been watching theHarry Potter movies and know
what this stuff is now, which isgood.
I'm not huge on it, but I atleast know who Hagrid is.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
Right, and why it's a
motorbike yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
And I know what
Diagon's Alley is.
I at least know what this stuffis.
Right.
So I'm looking forward to that.
I'm looking forward to ridingHulk and Velocicoaster and doing
Minions Land and I've heard theMummy's really good and the
original, the OG ET.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
I want to do that.
That ride when I was a littlekid freaked me out.
It's the same.
It hasn't changed.
It freaked me out.
For sure it has not changed.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
I'm looking forward
to going to Simpsons Land,
because I grew up on theSimpsons, you know.
So we're going to eat lunch atKrusty Burger, and I've heard
it's just a burger.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Yes, I know, but it's
just saying you went but it's
Krusty Burger.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
I want to get a Duff
beer.
Go to Moe's and get a DuffRight and get a Flaming Moe,
that's just, you know.
Are they going to be good?
I have very low expectationsthat they're not, but it's just
to do.
And then for dinner we're goingto eat at Three Broomsticks
because they have like ribs andRyan loves ribs, he does.
And then I want some fish andchips, and then, of course,
(29:32):
we'll get the butter beer.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Yeah, you'll have to
tell me about that.
I've been told to get thefrozen.
If it's like LeFru's brew, it'sgoing to be really sweet and
I'm not.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
I know Ryan don't
like it, but that's the one
thing like for some reason, youhaving better beer, like, oh,
without me, I think it's mainlygonna be Ryan.
Okay, I'll have a sip, butthat'll be it, and then I think
we're gonna end the night atVelocicoaster at night.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
I think that's what
we're.
Y'all.
Have fun with that right.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
I will never do that
right and then drive back down
i-4, which is always so much fun.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
I-4 at any time of
the day yeah, and me, and I'll
just be chilling and be chillingat the pool.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
Huh, are y'all gonna
maybe go to disney springs or
something?
Speaker 1 (30:12):
I don't know I don't
know, since we're doing it the
day before we're gonnawilderness lodge and hang out
that has crossed my mind.
Yeah, um, even a certain areato eat at for dinner has crossed
my mind.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
Oh no, fair enough
okay we will see.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
It's fair, that's
fair I know, exactly geyser
point.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
I know, all right,
fair enough.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
But like the quick
service version of it maybe it's
only yeah, that's, it is quickservice yeah, even even the sit
down, ge sit-down.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
Geyser Point's the
most confusing restaurant in
Walt Disney World, I know.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
That's why I'm like,
because you have to pick up, but
then it's a bar Okay.
It's the pool bar.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Yes, it's a quick
service restaurant.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
So, like where we sat
, you can get it to go and sit
down there.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
So it's all, it's,
it's everything.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Oh, so I can use the
quick service credit you can yes
.
Oh, because I was like, oh, I'mgoing to have to pay more out
of pocket.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
I would assume you
could.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
Well, let me see you
keep talking.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
All right.
So after that Tuesday wedecided not to end the trip with
Animal Kingdom, we decided toend the trip with Magic Kingdom.
So Tuesday is our AnimalKingdom day and early entries at
7 am.
I'm going to tell you right nowwe are not doing early entry at
7 am for Animal Kingdom andthey keep changing the park
(31:29):
hours.
It is now 7.30 am to 6.30 pm.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
To 6.30?
Speaker 2 (31:36):
6.30 instead of 6.
Huh, interesting Still doesn'tchange the plans that we've
talked about.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
No, but it does
change.
Though What'd you find out?
I'm still.
You keep talking for a second.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
So we have our first
lightning lane internet's
confused too,
Speaker 1 (31:49):
at 8 30 am for
kilimanjaro safari, because we
still want to do the safari inthe morning right yeah, so I'm
confused me too, because onething says quick service food in
an open air bar setting, butthen the other says it will be
considered A table service meal.
So I don't know.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
We'll just ask a cast
member when we get there,
alright, kilimanjaro Safari is830 at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Yes, Love the safari Safari goto the trails, get those
breakfast sandwiches.
So in a way we are kind of Ropedropping this part and then
love the safari, safari, go tothe trails, get those breakfast
sandwiches.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
So in a way we are
kind of rope dropping this part.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
No, not no Rope
droppings at 730.
Okay.
Early entry no seven.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
Okay, so we'll get
here at like eight.
We'll get here at eight.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Okay, yeah, yeah,
we're not doing Okay.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
Yeah, eight o yeah, 8
o'clock, all right.
And then, yes, kilimanjaroSafari, and I love riding it
earlier in the day because forme that's when I've had better
experiences it has.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
That and late in the
evening is really nice too,
right, and then we do theGorilla Falls Trail.
Yes.
And we get our breakfastsandwiches, yeah.
Oh yeah, I don't know what itis about.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
I don't know it's so
good so good.
Nothing special to it, but ittastes wonderful.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
Just that little
stack cart right outside the
Safari.
Yeah, it's the In front of YuriSweets.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Yeah, but it's got
the same name as the whole.
But anyway, it's just a littlecart.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
Yeah, and then at
1015, we have Expedition Everest
.
Yeah, I'm not riding it, thoughyou need to go through the
queue.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
I don't know, but I'm
not riding it.
No, I did my time.
Fair enough, those first fewtrips.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
And then at 1240, we
have Cali River Rapids Probably
just me, and Nolan Ryan said hewould go depending on how hot it
was.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
Okay, and then, if
not, you and Nolan can ride it
again.
We can.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
Doesn't matter, we're
going to try it out.
It's gonna be a hot day, butit's okay.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
And then, in between
these times, we're gonna be
relaxing yeah, and there's likesome in between, some of these
times we're going to go to someof the other trails too yes like
the marajaha and the like theotters area and around the tree
of life and you know, and justsoaking it all in, and I think
(34:06):
after we do cali river rapidswe're going to eat lunch at
flame tree barbecue yes livedining review at flame tree bar.
Yeah, because we've only eatenthere one other time and I
remember really thoroughlyenjoying it um, and I know y'all
are like well, you're havingbarbecue a few days before this
too, but this is just somethingthat I've wanted to go back to
for a while and maybe we cancompare them.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
Yeah, you know, yeah,
and then we have our lightning
lane for avatar flight ofpassage at two o'clock, yes, and
then I think after this is whenwe just stop right nomad lounge
do dinosaur?
Yeah, stop.
Right Nomad Lounge Mm-hmm Do.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
Dinosaur.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
Yeah, chill.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
Maybe do the Lion
King show.
Lion King show Maybe.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Yeah, we just chill,
mm-hmm, do nothing.
Okay.
And then around, since the parkcloses at 6, 5.30, dinner time.
It's a Tuli Canteen.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
Yeah, I will do the
Cheeseburger Pod again because I
thoroughly enjoyed them, likeZach still does, until just one
random time I had it and it wasjust too bready for me, so it
might have just been that onebatch.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
So do we do a live
dining review to see your
reaction after trying them again?
It's up to you, because I'vetalked endlessly about it right.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
Yeah, maybe.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
Okay.
Maybe, Okay, maybe that's amaybe, we don't know, yeah, and
then we close the park down withAvatar Flight of Passage.
What better?
Way to end it with that, andthen, since it's probably 7
o'clock-ish, yes, 7.30.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
Park Hop.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
Park Hop.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
To Magic Kingdom yes,
hop Park, hop To Magic Kingdom.
Yes, mm-hmm.
And for me especially, to watchthe Happily Ever After
fireworks.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
I don't know if we
are going to me and Ryan I know
well Nolan may not want to.
I don't know because we'redoing two nights in a row.
Nolan doesn't like fireworks,so I would like to maybe watch
them from Mind Train.
Hmm, we've done Big ThunderMountain, which is closed.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
I don't want to get
the.
The timing wouldn't be rightfor Tiana's.
That'd be too hard to time it.
Or watch them from the PeopleMover.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Ooh yeah, that'd be
nice too.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
Or we just sit there
and get Casey's and just yeah.
Watch the fireworks.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Either way, people
move her when we first get there
, but my main thing is, I wantto see the fireworks, though, or
maybe the Tom Sawyer's tree, not Tom Sawyer's tree.
Swiss family Swiss family tree.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
That might be cool,
because you get to the top.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Right.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
You get a good view.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
Yeah, I don't know, I
don't know, but anyway the
fireworks somehow shape or formthere.
I don't know, I don't know, butanyway the fireworks somehow
shape or form there are someoptions, yes, and you know, just
depending on how the crowds areand stuff.
Maybe you know a couple otherthings while we're there too,
but we do have, with the packagethat we got, park hopper and
we're not really using that, butthis would be an opportunity to
(37:02):
use it at least once.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
Correct.
Yeah, all right.
And then Wednesday, june 4th,our last full day.
We're ending with the MagicKingdom.
The park hours are 8.30 am to 9am, early entry, and then 9 am
to 10 pm.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Yep, so we'll
probably get here around 9.30 or
so.
Yeah.
And the first multi-pass thatwe have is for Pirates.
Yes and yes, looking forward tothat at 1010.
And then, right after that, wehave Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
And then, right after
that, we have Haunted Mansion.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Bam, bam bam.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Yeah, but then we
have a little break and then
it'll be Tiana's.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
Yes, at 2 o'clock.
Yeah, so I think after HauntedMansion we eat lunch.
And we're going to go toColumbia Harbor House and we're
going to do a live dining reviewat Columbia Harbor House,
because it's been a long timesince we've eaten there Very,
very long time.
Yes, yeah, so we're going to doa live dining review there.
Tiana's is at 2.
And then we don't have anythingelse planned until Ryan and I
(38:00):
are doing Tron at 8 o'clock.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
Yeah, so we may get
more of the multi passes.
Yes, all those are used up.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
Definitely do Space
Mountain.
We're definitely going to dothe people mover, but I think we
need to go see Country BearJamboree.
I know it is the last thingthat we have not done in the
parks.
Just once you may, you're goingto love, you're going to go.
That was the best show ever.
After we leave, we will see, I,you may you're going to love
you're going to go.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
That was the best
show ever.
After we leave, we will see.
I just the boys, I don't knowthey may like it too.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
They like they
surprise you sometimes.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
Yeah, that's true too
.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
They do surprise you.
And then definitely got to seethe Carousel of Progress.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
Definitely got to go
to the Tiki Room.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
Tiki Room With a Dole
Whip.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
they have my favorite
one with the pineapple and
coconut swirl yeah but I thinkthis is giving us more time to
just relax yes and do some ofthe, and then well we say that.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
But in the past
ryan's been like I want another
ride, another ride, another ride, another ride.
But he's getting older.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Now too he's starting
to want to chill out a little
more too yeah, do little mermaidwe got to do that right, yes,
we got to.
Peter Pan don't care about, don't care about.
It's a small world, you know?
Yeah, but yeah, and then we'regoing to eat dinner.
Where are we eating dinner at?
We haven't had this.
We still have not decided goingto eat at.
Speaker 1 (39:28):
Casey's.
Casey's is crazy, though it isLike later in the day.
It is very crazy there.
It's good, but it is crazy.
Speaker 2 (39:32):
Cosmic Rays, you can
at least get a table.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
Yeah, or or.
Speaker 2 (39:37):
Wheels are turning
here.
We get Casey's and take it toTomorrowland Terrace, where all
those empty tables are and justchill there.
Speaker 1 (39:48):
Maybe, but you got to
get through the crowd with all
the food in your hands and stuff.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
We, you mean me.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
Well, anyway.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
Yeah, that's a me
problem.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
We'll figure that out
that day, yeah, and then Ryan
and I want to do Tron at night.
It's a must do at night eighto'clock.
Going to do Tron at night.
It's a must do at night 8o'clock.
Going to do it and then watchthe fireworks.
Yes, I'm watching from the back.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
Like closer to the
train station.
Speaker 2 (40:14):
Yes, yeah.
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (40:15):
Yeah, I'm fine with
that.
Speaker 2 (40:16):
See the projections
down Main Street and not be
huddled up there with 50,000people.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
Yeah, I'm fine with
that, and yeah, and then that's
our last full day, like Zachsaid, and then Thursday morning
we check out from Coronado andwe're going to go back to Disney
Springs one more time.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
Another live dining
review.
We're going to eat at DeluxeBurger.
Speaker 1 (40:43):
Yes, now Zach's eaten
there before.
Speaker 2 (40:46):
I want to go again
and I think it may be the best
burger on property.
Maybe it's up there with GeyserPoint.
It's up there with Steakhouse71.
Mm-hmm.
But I think it may take it.
Speaker 1 (40:59):
Well, the rest of us
will try.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
We're going to eat
there, live down review from
there, and then we are drivingtwo hours back to disney's real
beach resort.
Yes, for four days, correct?
We will be incognito thatyou're not time yes, thoroughly
relaxing, enjoying, taking itall in.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
You know we've talked
about it before.
You know they still do likeyour disney activities, you know
, like at the pool and you know,if you wanted to do s'mores and
stuff like that, they do movieson the lawn and, uh, just a lot
of, a lot of different thingsand their prices for rentals
like for chairs and stuff totake on the beach are very
reasonable.
So we're thoroughly going toenjoy our relaxing time there
(41:42):
yeah, we've done.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
You know full trip
report and all the stuff from it
.
So we're not going to do thatagain.
But imagine a Disney deluxeresort right With maybe 150
people.
Yeah.
No stress, with the parks and abeach and you've got Disney's
Real Beach Resort Right.
It's just amazing.
Yes, love it, love it, love it.
(42:04):
And then we're doing that for afew days and then we're driving
north on the coast and going tomy brother and sister-in-law's
and you know what I'm lookingforward to most about that bones
occasional sorry too loudhomemade pwned occasional yes
thank you just spending timewith them and everything.
Speaker 1 (42:23):
I'm joking, yes
spending time.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
They got a new house
and just spending time with them
and and the I'm joking, yes, spending time.
They got a new house and justspending time with them and the
family.
And yeah, so you won't hearabout us, hear from us during
any of that time, but we'regoing to document the travels
down the road trip, how, whatever mess it can be, and
then we're not going to documentour days in the parks, we just
want to enjoy our day in thepark, but we'll do the the
(42:47):
dining reviews, we'll do, but asfar as like social media during
the day on instagram and stuff,we're just not going to do that
right.
So it's a big family trip.
We're going to enjoy it withthe family and, uh, yeah,
anything else you want to add tothat?
Speaker 1 (42:58):
no, just looking
forward to it.
You know, this morning you knowyou got to get that countdown
calendar pulled up on yourfuture plans on the app and you
know, when it said four days, Iwas like all right.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
It's hitting me now
because our life has been so
crazy this past month that ithasn't even like.
I haven't even thought about itright but now it's hitting me
now like I'm excited to go.
It's gonna be a great trip.
We're really gonna do what wepreach and just take it easy.
I'm looking forward to the newmulti-pass system.
Yes, it was.
It was over 700.
Speaker 1 (43:31):
Yeah, we'll go ahead
and say it over 700 sticker
shock definitely but, but wewere hoping, while we're there,
what we've just talked about isit truly does give us that time
to slow down and you're and nothave to be on our phone
constantly trying to book thisstuff while we're there, and
everything too right and uh, weteased we talked about on the
(43:53):
last episode.
Speaker 2 (43:54):
Did we save money
booking the free dining package?
And, on face value, if youbreak everything down separately
, we saved uh 18 already okaywith the dining plan, but if we
had booked everything separately, it would have been more.
It would have been more sothat's good to know right off
the back just on the face of it,yes, but we're also going to do
(44:15):
an episode where we talk aboutwhat we ordered, how much we it
would have been, and if we wouldhave, if it saved us money yeah
, we're going to break it alldown yeah, and you know, in the
dining plans in general, depending on how it turns out.
Speaker 1 (44:30):
You know.
One thing, though, is it is alittle less stress off of you in
the moment it is because unlessit's something that has an
asterisk on it on the menu, youknow you don't have to be like
oh well, that's 20 bucks.
You know, because it's in theplan already, that you've
already paid for.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
And the good thing is
I'm not budgeting as much this
trip because of that.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
We've already paid.
It's already paid for yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:54):
Right, so we're not
worried about food.
Now we are paying out of pocketfor Summer House on the Lake
and going to Chef Mickey's andThree Bridges and Oga's.
Yes, we're paying for that outof pocket, but everything else
no, but it's already paid for.
So I think the convenience ofit may make it worth it.
Right yeah, so we will see, butlook forward to those episodes.
(45:14):
Anything else you want to say?
Speaker 1 (45:17):
No, just we'll talk
to you soon.
Yeah, and looking forward tosome churros at Nomad Lounge.
Looking forward to Nomad Loungeand yeah, best churros ever.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
