Lauren (03:49):
Send the rockets.
Kate May, thank you so much forjoining us.
On Claire Voyaging we.
I was just telling you we'venever had a Feng Shui person on
our show, so we're reallyexcited about this.
Can you give us some backstoryon how you got into this?
(04:09):
What's your deal?
Just all the good stuff.
Kate (04:14):
Okay, so I've been
interested in everything to do
with spiritual, mystical energyfor as long as I can remember.
My mum, when I was little, usedto read the horoscopes in the
magazines and that was always abit of an interest.
She would talk about using likelavender to help sleep or
(04:38):
chamomile to calm down, so thatkind of sparked an interest.
I had my nan who I lived nextdoor to.
She lost her mum very early andwe'd talk about feeling her mum
.
How can you feel your mum whenshe's dead?
So, right from a young age Ihad a big interest in all of it
and it was just an interest andI probably I'm a full-time tarot
(05:01):
reader as well as doing theFeng Shui now as well Amazing.
And I've been doing tarotreader as well as doing the feng
shui now as well amazing, doingtarot reading for 20 years.
So I've had I think I had myfirst deck at about 14, 15 and I
remember having a feng shuibook roughly the same age I just
collected everything to learn, didn't know anything about it,
had too much because I neverreally got into um delving into
(05:24):
any of it really, until I was inmy 30s when I had my children
and gave up my proper job to bea full-time mum and then I was
able to have the time to go inand do all the studying.
So I've been running a tarotbusiness for 20 years and back
in lockdown I had a feng shuilady came and do my I've got a
(05:45):
shop.
So she came and did my shop.
She came and did my home and itwas like the best day ever
because it was something that Iloosely looked into, knew a lot
of the tips, but to have it doneas a proper one-to-one with all
the correct remedies and thecorrect home analysis was just
brilliant and it was a gamechanger in my life from that
(06:06):
with the effects that happened.
And every year with Feng Shuithere's a new set of numbers
that come in to help restore thehome every February.
So this lady was doing it for meevery February as a retouch and
then she gave it up.
But she kept me on as a clientbecause I kept nagging her that
I, you know, really wanted itdone and I didn't know anyone
(06:28):
else that was doing it and itlast year.
So February last year I said toher I promise this will be the
last time that you do it, I'llfind somebody else.
But through about the Octoberand my husband and I were on our
way down to the beach and thenI said to him him, oh, there's a
mind, body, spirit, fair in theopposite direction.
So we did a quick U-turn, wewent to this fair and for the
(06:51):
first time ever we've run fairs, been to lots of fairs, first
time ever I saw a Feng Shuistall.
So I went over to her and waslike you're my new best friend,
do you teach it?
Do you do this?
And she actually wasn't fromthe area but she said no, I
don't teach it, but my teacheris opening up some slots to
(07:11):
teach and there's like five daysleft.
So I went home and booked itstraight away Come the November.
We started the sessions by theJanuary.
I was qualified in in it, so Iwas able to do my own from this
year, february, and it's justbeen a massive game changer
massive game changer in a goodway.
(07:32):
Things that have happened to us, opportunities that have
happened to my family that justnot happened before, and then to
be able to share that and helpmore people be able to get the
feng shui is all about getting abalance with your home and your
home supporting you, and itdoesn't necessarily stop bad
things happening, but it allowsyou to be able to manage through
(07:56):
any challenges and certainly toopen up new opportunities.
And then I found, with thetarot readings that I was doing,
when people come to me and it'scoming in the reading that they
might have health problem, relationship problem, because I
now know the whole nine areas ofthe home, I was able to say so,
what's going on?
If it was a love problem, what's going on in the southwest
(08:17):
?
And they might be like, wow, that's our spare room and we
just put a load of rubbish there.
I'm like, oh, this is whyyou're having problems in your
love life.
So I'm able to help talk themthrough the Feng Shui, through
the tarot reading.
So it kind of naturally businesscombined.
And even when I first got intodoing the tarot, that was very
natural.
(08:37):
It wasn't a plan of mine, itwasn't a big dream, I just was
doing it as a bit of a hobby.
And then more and more peoplewere like can you come to our
house and do it?
I've got a bunch of friends andwithin a couple of years I was
like, oh, this, this has turnedinto a bit of a business and
then I took it a bit moreserious.
So both of them have merged andyou know I'm very, very lucky
with a hobby that's just boughtin a business, so it never feels
(09:00):
like work, but it's the.
The tarot for me is like theinner energy and the feng shui
is like the outer energy.
So to be able to bring ittogether and, with the tarot,
get into the nitty-gritty of itbut with the home, be able to
really help people balance theirlives, achieve more success and
more happiness, it's just, yeah, I absolutely love it, I'm very
(09:23):
lucky, but it all wasn'tplanned.
It's all just kind of theuniverse way.
I think that it was obviouslymeant to be, because it was so
easy.
Lauren (09:32):
Oh, I love that you've
integrated tarot with it, Cause
I I don't feel like I've heardof that.
Frank (09:40):
Is that like common?
That's not common, is it?
Kate (09:42):
Not at all, no.
And my teacher when I firstsaid to her about it, she's from
Australia and she's like I'venever heard that before.
So I do a lot of work withmanifestations.
Again, I've got so many weirdthings that have happened in my
life, so many weird coincidences, and one of them was through
tarot and manifesting, where Imanifested my husband without
(10:05):
realizing it, and I was able tocombine the tarot with the
manifesting and now with theFeng Shui manifestation.
And Feng Shui works in harmonybecause you're sending out the
intention of what you want andit works in alignment.
So, to bring all three of thosemodalities together, every day
I do a live reading on myInstagram and I talk about what
(10:28):
the card means, but also whereyou can put it in feng shui and
on your altars for manifestation.
And now I've had a um, quite awell-known publisher contact me
to write a book on all of it,bringing it all together.
So it's not, it's the first,it's the first of the lot yes,
absolutely kate doing it.
Lauren (10:48):
I love that.
Frank (10:49):
That's so great okay,
growing up did your?
You said your nan had yet getor she, she would speak to her,
her, who did she?
Kate (10:58):
speak to.
It was all very interesting.
So my dad and my mom oh God, mynan on my dad's side is that's
where I live now, in her house,um, and actually in this room
where I'm at, is where mygranddad passed, but it's not
spooky Um, she, she would justtalk about her mum, just feeling
her mum.
That intrigued me a little bitand I wouldn't say she was a
(11:22):
spiritualist, but she was open.
And when my granddad passed, the day that he passed, she said
she went out into the kitchento get him a glass of water and
to put some washing out.
And in the kitchen she said shesaw this purple hooded figure
and she just had a feelingsomething wasn't washing out.
And in the kitchen she said shesaw this purple hooded figure
and she just had a feelingsomething wasn't quite right.
And when she came back in mygranddad had passed.
(11:43):
So I heard that story and itjust intrigued me.
And then my maternalgrandparents.
My nan, again was very open toit and her mum, my great nan,
had died and again was very opento it and her mum, my
great-nana, died and she askedfor signs and she started to get
signs.
My aunt and uncle on my mum'sside they're spiritualists or
(12:05):
were spiritualists, they werehealers.
So although it was around me,it wasn't.
My dad was an atheist and mymum was much more open, but it
wasn't I wouldn't say I wasbrought up in it, it was just
kind of loosely around, wouldn'tsay I was brought up in it, it
was just kind of loosely around.
And as I was growing up, Iwanted to be part of something.
I'm a Taurean, so I reallywanted to be part of some kind
of traditional setup and I triedthe Church of England, I went
(12:28):
to Brownies, I tried to go tothe um groups where there was
all the Christian things, because that's you know, a lot
of that was where we were then.
But but it didn't fit and itwasn't until I went to a
spiritualist church and I justfelt that was home.
It just felt like home to me.
This is where I want to go,this is what I want to do and as
(12:49):
far as I've just got so manystrange stories.
So when I was about 15, 16, myuncle worked down a pier our
local South Sea Pier and he wasat a donut store.
But his friends wereclairvoyants, mediums, and they
wanted somebody just to do alittle Saturday, sunday job.
So I got a job with them doingastrology charts for their
(13:11):
clients while they did themediumship and she read my hand
palm and she said you're marriedtwice and you'll work in
America.
And I was about 16, 17.
And I thought, oh no, she's offher rocker.
When I was about 25, I did moveto Spain and I thought maybe
she got the country wrong.
And then when I got to 40, Iseparated from my first husband
(13:33):
and I think I was about 47, 48when I married my second husband
and I was like, oh yeah, shesaid I was about 47, 48 when I
married my second husband and Iwas like, oh yeah, she said I
was going to be married twiceand he's a medium, he's a trans
medium and we did done a lot ofwork in California.
Oh my gosh, before lockdown wewere going six months.
I was like, yeah, she was right.
And then I was talking we werein a completely different part
(13:56):
of the country, so maybe likethree hours away from where I
live talking to his mum, whereshe comes out my husband's mum,
who's also a medium, he's likefourth generation and she said
that, um, she used to work downup here and she described the
booth.
I thought that sounds familiarand she said we had this little
girl work for us doing astrologyfrom our friend Ron, and I was
(14:16):
like Ron was my uncle.
I was that little girl, so I'dactually worked with his parents
30 years before I met him.
They weren't from the area andit was her son.
That was my second husband thatI'd gone.
There was a really, reallystrange thing there and
everybody that I seemed toconnect to whether it was at
(14:36):
school, I was always the onethat had that was asked to look
after the new people and we'restill in contact now.
We all had interest in God orspiritualism.
We didn't know it wasspiritualism, but we would have
deep conversations about it.
So there was an attractionright from little.
And even my first or secondboyfriend I met randomly in a
nightclub.
(14:56):
His parents were healers, soit's always been kind of around
me.
And then when I had my first son, my midwife was saying to me go
to this baby group, it would bereally good for you, but I had
friends that had babies and Ididn't really want to get into
the mum clique I'm not very goodat then, I wasn't very good
with meeting new people and Isaid no, I don't want to go, I'm
(15:33):
all right with my small group.
And then a friend of mine saidmy daughter, who was only 16 at
the time, had a baby, is reallyshy and her midwife has told her
to go to baby groups.
Would you please take her?
So I said, look, I'll go once,but it's not my thing, I won't
go again.
Well, I went, I loved it.
She never went back.
I ended up going every day andgot really friendly with the
people that run the group.
And then one of the ladies saidto me I was doing beauty therapy
at the time.
She said to me would you bringyour couch in and do some
treatments on the mums while welook after all the children?
So I did that, took my flyersin and she looked at the flyers
(15:55):
and she said I'm Reiki trained.
And she said oh, I see you'reReiki trained.
I'm Reiki trained, I've gotangel cards.
I said I've got tarot cards.
So she said bring them in.
So I brought them in.
She brought her angel cards.
So we started reading for mums.
And that's how that grew, because it went from just a
couple of mums in the toddlergroups to then them saying can
you come and do?
(16:16):
Saying, can you come and do ourfriends, can you come and do
our friends?
And within a couple of monthsit had grown and within a year I
was able to think, oh my God, Ineed to get a website and do
this as a business.
So the universe, I had to getto that baby group to meet this
girl, to do this.
The universe had a plan.
So for me, like I said, it'sall just been, it's just all
(16:37):
falling into place really easilywith the connections.
But if I look back I would sayit's always been there, it
always been there.
I did go off track it was the90s for a while, so I did go off
track for a little while beforeI settled down and have
children.
But it's, it's been such a biginterest and now I couldn't
imagine it not being.
And even when I met my secondhusband, I was doing events,
(17:00):
spiritual events, and a friendsaid to me would you I know a
friend would you put on a trancenight for him?
So it wasn't my thing at thetime, trance.
So I said, oh, I will, but I'llsit at the back.
He did the evening and then wejust stayed in contact.
We started to put on eventstogether and then, when my
marriage separated, I foundmyself thinking, oh, I don't
(17:23):
know if I like him actually.
And then it blossomed intosomething and that's where the
manifestation came.
So I was with my previoushusband trying to make it work,
although I don't know why I wastrying to make it work, and I'd
pulled some tarot cards onpurpose.
I'd specifically chosen some, put them out with the full moon
in the idea of come on, this iswhat I want to bring in.
(17:44):
And then it was a year laterthat marriage fell apart within
weeks.
And then Colin, my new husband, came in within a couple of
months.
It was a year later.
You know, on Facebook, when itcomes up with your memories, and
I'd taken a picture of thesecards.
And when I looked at the cards, when it came up in my memories,
I was like huh, actually I hadthe ace of cups, which is new
(18:05):
love.
I had the four of wands, whichis marriage, and I had the ten
of cups, which is happy everafter, and the two of cups,
which is a new coupling.
So I'd actually picked wrongcards for a marriage to be
together, but the right cardsfor a happy, ever after new
beginning and now in the idea oflike the cards can be used for
manifestation as well.
So when I learned the feng shuiof the areas the money areas
(18:29):
and the love areas and the workareas there's particular cards
that that draw that energy.
So I was like these cards canbe used as like a symbol, not
just for predicting but as asymbol to enhance the energy in
that particular area.
So all of it has just beenweird coincidences that have all
blended.
When we went to America thestrangest thing with California
(18:53):
um, we were doing a psychicsupper and a lady had come and
swapped her ticket over and sheI don't know who she was meant
to have, but she wanted to havea reading with my husband, so
she'd swapped her ticket.
I don't know if she was allowed, but she swapped her ticket to
have it with my husband.
Um, just before then we'd beentalking about america because he
(19:14):
he comes from.
Um, well, he's done a lot ofwork with the crow tribe in amer
America.
He spent quite a few yearsdoing vision quests and working
with the Crow tribe.
So he's got a and his parentsrun in West Virginia a
spiritualist church there, sohe's had a lot of connections.
So that got me thinking we wantto go back over there.
But um, to California.
I don't know why I was thinkingit.
(19:34):
I would put an advert on and itwould be California.
My son came home all within twoweeks T-shirt California.
I got an email from somebodywanting a reading from
California and it was just allbizarre.
So this lady had swapped herticket, gone to my husband and
had the reading with him, andthen she said I've got a feeling
that you and Kate we never metbefore.
(19:54):
I've got a feeling that you andKate should go to California.
And he was like well, that'd begreat.
One, we've got no money, buttwo, we don't know anyone.
And she said I do.
So he said well, go and talk tothe boss.
So she said to me I knowsomebody that's in Palm Springs
(20:20):
and she's into all of this.
So I connected with her and wegot on really well and she's
like yeah, I can put some eventson.
I also know somebody who is inSanta Clarita and in Carmel.
So I was like okay, we can getthis.
And then I'm like we haven'tgot any money.
So I said to this woman this isall good, but we've got no
money, she said don't worry, itwill come, and later that day.
Um, we got a ppi.
Check out the blue whichcovered everything wait, what's
(20:41):
a ppi?
oh sorry, um ppi, so it's a.
It's all finished now.
But it was when people used totake out insurances for either
bank loans or credit cards.
Um, I think probably in the 80sand then in the 90s it might be
in the 90s, in the late 90s,2000s they found out that it was
fraud, that they weren'tallowed to do that, so they were
(21:03):
compensating everybody got iteverybody was putting in a claim
for ppi, whether you had it ornot.
People were just claiming to seeif they could.
So I've done it, forgot allabout it and, um, yeah, and it
came through and that was ourticket.
So we ended up going tocalifornia and and, yeah, up
until lockdown, it was all itall worked.
(21:23):
So, just like really weirdthings.
So this is definitely my pathand I I really encourage people,
like when they're trying to dothings, it's okay having a pipe
dream, but when you're in thatmanifestation and alignment, it
should all really fall intoplace.
If there's too many obstacles, too many um, obstruct,
obstructions, it may not be theway that you need to go.
(21:45):
There could be some other areasthat you need to go in.
So there's a fine line betweenum feeling what your vibration
is and what your wishes are aswell, but just been so, so lucky
, really grateful and just solucky with all of it there.
Frank (21:59):
But it's it all kind of
just yeah, slotted into place,
yeah so lauren told me we weretalking to a feng shui person
today, but you were a wizard.
It's it's really amazing.
It's really amazing to me howlike it seems like your entire
world is surrounded by peoplethat are either like psychics or
mediums, are very sensitiveyeah and like that's so cool.
(22:22):
Yeah, it is 24 7.
Kate (22:25):
I've got a coffee shop
again that I don't even like
coffee, I can't cook, so I don'tknow what I was doing opening a
coffee shop, but we've had itseven years now.
It's really successful.
I sell crystals and cards andthings, so it's called the
mystic coffee lounge, so it's acoffee shop as well as selling
all these, and then I do myreadings, um, in a separate room
, um, so the whole lot is 24 7.
(22:46):
I've got a handful of friendsthat aren't into it, which is
lovely, because they ground me.
My children don't reallybelieve it, so they ground me.
But, um, yeah, it is, it's myentire life, which is perfect.
Frank (22:58):
I love it like that do
you have you noticed that, as
you are, as you've like, usedtarot and and worked in feng
shui more that, like I don'tknow, do you?
Has it sparked any of your, your, your psychic abilities?
Kate (23:13):
oh, yeah, I mean, I do
this as a full-time job.
So, um, my psychic, I'm quiteclairvoyant, so that's quite
strong because I'm using it.
It's like a muscle.
I'll go to the gym, you know, Iuse that every day.
Yeah, um, but I can where I'veblended and I do like a feng
shui tarot reading now, so whereI've blended the two, I know,
(23:35):
um, straight away.
If it's showing me that there'srelationship problems, I know
that there's going to be anissue in their Southwest.
Or if they've got careerproblems, I know they're going
to have something dodgy in thenorth.
So before they even said it tome, I already know things.
And where I'm clairvoyant whichis great to be nosy I'm good at
looking in at people's homes, which is great to be nosy.
(23:57):
I'm good at looking in atpeople's homes, not all the time
I can do it, but a lot of thetime where I can, I just start
to vision their home so I canget an idea whether there is too
much clutter or whether theenergy feels good in the home,
whether it's stagnant energy.
So I just things play out in mymind and I can almost get a
little.
I can go around their homewithout them knowing about it
there.
So, yeah, that's definitelyenhanced since I've got into the
(24:18):
Feng Shui.
Oh my gosh.
Frank (24:21):
What a tool.
How many, how many, when youtalk to people.
Kate (24:24):
It's a blessing and a
curse.
I'll tell you Sure.
Frank (24:29):
How many?
When you're like, oh, oh,there's something weird going on
and you're like Northwest area, are people like I need a
compass?
Lauren (24:38):
Oh, I literally would
have to.
Kate (24:40):
Yeah, so when if somebody
books a Feng Shui reading with
me, I send them out a mapalready so that they can, before
they have the session with me,they can find all their areas
and they can either write itdown or just get it in their
head so that when I'm talking tothem they already know it's not
like it's they've got to thinkabout it, they're already
(25:00):
prepared for it there.
So I do send people out a map.
Other than that, I would say tothem go into the center of your
home and use a compass, andthere's many, many different
schools of Feng Shui, and theone that I use and have been
taught is called Flying Stars, which is where the southwest
area relates to yourrelationship, whereas a
(25:22):
traditional Feng Shui it mightbe that the left of the home is
relationship, but with theflying stars everybody's left of
the home it's going to have adifferent area to it.
So the flying stars makes itmore detailed and personal on it
there.
So that's why I think it's goodto have a map prior so you get
(25:44):
an idea of of what we're goingto be talking about okay, let me
ask you a macro question here, because it's funny, because I've
, I've, I'm so used to that.
Frank (25:54):
You, everyone's heard the
term feng shui.
They have an idea of what itmeans and like, but it feels
like with you it means somethingentirely different, I, I guess
what I'm asking is what's therelation between um, the
relation between these type ofenergetic signatures and like
location?
Kate (26:09):
So the location would be
very personal and this is where
the numbers come in.
It's not going to be the samefor everybody.
So it generates energy in eachof the areas and once these
areas have been activated, or ifthey're deactivated, it will
bring a balance or an imbalancearound the home and it's just
like when you go into, you knowyou've gone into a new home now.
(26:31):
So when you go into a home, everything should feel perfect.
Your home should make you feelalive, like life is supporting
you and good opportunities arecoming, the money is flowing and
when you walk in every room, you should absolutely love every
room.
If there are things that is, alot of clutter or broken things,
or the energy perhaps has beena lot of tears, if there's been
(26:54):
a lot of upheaval, that energyis on a lower vibration.
So that vibrational energy willaffect you because you're in it
all the time and it would justbe like being with somebody
really moody all the time.
Eventually it's going to chipaway at your vibration until you
do something about it.
So, having the home eitherremedied with a full analysis or
(27:16):
just checking in and makingsure that everything is not just
decluttering and neat and tidy, but everything is balanced and
you'll know it because you'llfeel it.
You'll feel good in a room ifit's balanced, but it supports
you through.
If there are life's changes andchallenges that we can't do
anything about, it will supportyou through that.
What's really interesting iswhen you move home is you've got
(27:40):
a very quick guide as to whatwas great before and what might
not be, or the other way around,so you can.
You'll know straight away.
If, like say, for example, inyour old home, you had loads of
money opportunities, there wasmoney wasn't an issue.
And then you move and all of asudden you've got money issues,
you know that there's going tobe a money block or some kind of
(28:00):
challenge, either within thehome itself, as a what's called
difficult home that's probablythe wrong word but like a home
that that needs a little bitmore support around it, or
within the southeast area, whichis money.
So when you move you can seewhether that was good, now it's
bad, or it could be the otherway around.
Ideally you want it the otherway around.
(28:21):
That was bad, but now we're inthis new home, it all works
great, but but it's like, justyou know, when you just cut
atmosphere, you just walk in aplace and you know whether you
feel good and you want your hometo support you because we're
here all the time.
So we pay a lot of money forour home.
So we want it to support us, wewant it to work with us and if
(28:46):
it's not comfortable, that, likeI said, will eventually just
start to chip away at yourpersonality, at your vibration,
and you know, if you're notcareful you can really go quite
low with it.
But it doesn't have to be likethat.
So it's all about energy, thesame.
As you know, this yearparticularly, it's the year of
the snakes.
There's a lot to do withshedding, getting away from
people or jobs or again homes, things that no longer serve us,
and there's a lot of upgradescoming this year from personal
(29:09):
upgrades.
A lot of people are having likea reboot and a glow up now and
that could be personally.
That can be to do with homesredecorating or even within
yourself, just going on newspiritual journeys.
So within that, the energy isgoing to be changing and people
will change.
So you'll find you get onreally well with certain people,
(29:31):
but maybe some that you used toyou don't anymore because your
vibrations change.
So everything in the home isall to do with the vibrational
energy.
It's a little bit.
Once you know, you can't unknowit.
So there is a lot of generalthings on google that will talk
about do this for feng shui, dothat, and I do a lot of talks on
the general things and they'regood for a little starter and
(29:54):
some homes.
That's all you need.
But other homes need a fullanalysis because you need that
extra push there.
And once you know that yoursouth is this or your west is
that, you can't unknow it.
So there's for me there's alittle bit of um mind play in.
If you know that that's yourmoney area, you want to enhance
it.
But if you don't know it's notyour, it's your money area, then
(30:17):
you don't know.
So you'll just go about doingyour normal things there.
But once you know, you can'tundo it.
And now I know it all.
Wherever I look, I'm likethat's that.
And if I'm doing readings forpeople and I did one this week
and she she was talking aboutrelationships and all I could
see was behind her on herwardrobe, all this clutter, and
(30:37):
I was like, oh gosh, how do Isay this?
And in the end, can I just talkabout what's behind you.
Oh my gosh, you know, um.
So it's really interestingreally, but it's, it's the
energy, it's just thevibrational energy and I think,
more than ever now, people areupgrading, they are being more
open, more sensitive.
There's a lot more peoplebecoming awake to things and
(31:02):
more and more people the rise ofthe people.
Rather than having to be put ina box and do we follow that
person or that person, oractually can we be a bit in the
middle, it's all right to be abit of that person and a bit of
that person.
We don't want to be put inboxes now.
So we're finding our own wayand that, predominantly, will
start within your heart, wellwithin yourself, and then within
(31:22):
your home, before you take itout to the world.
So I think it's going to getbigger and bigger, with people
recognizing that.
Lauren (31:30):
So I want to just ask
you something about what you
mentioned about, like, ifthere's a lot of tears in one in
your home or like someone'sgoing through something, do you
like to kind of clear thatenergy?
Let's say, someone's goingthrough something, do you like
to kind of clear that energy?
Let's say, someone's having atough time, or there's been a
(31:53):
for.
Maybe for us there's been likea big transition, um, where you
know, sometimes, when you'relike releasing all this stuff,
they say that you can kind oflike have remnants of that
energy that's kind of around.
How do you do you?
Do you use sage or Palo Santo,or how do you kind of clear?
(32:15):
that crystals yeah.
How do you clear the area?
Kate (32:17):
Lots of different things
and some homes it's it's light
energy, so it could just be.
I'll say could just be, itmight be arguments, could.
Sometimes it's um, it's lightenergy, so it could just be.
I'll say could just be, itmight be arguments, um, could.
Sometimes it's hormonalchildren that would do it.
Um, sometimes it's moving intoa house that they've been a
divorce there, so there's somelighter stuff.
(32:38):
But then other times it's realtrauma, like a death or passing,
and some real, real traumathat's stirring up.
So things, the lighter thingsthat can be done, yeah, going
around with sage, with a littleprayer, something of an intent
to.
I like to use Archangel Michaeland call upon him because he's
the archangel of removingnegative energy.
(33:00):
But if they're not into angelslike my husband's not into
angels, I am, so I'll do that.
He's into the native americanthing, so he'll bring up a
different prayer.
So it depends on on where yourinterests or where your beliefs
are really as to what kind ofenergy you'll work with.
But the palo santo mostdefinitely, sage, but also these
(33:21):
things clear the energy.
But you also want to raise thevibration and that will be
through playing happy music,singing, dancing.
Decluttering is a big gamechanger because everything holds
the energies there.
But sometimes that declutteringis it's not easy, especially if
there's emotions attached to it, grief, memories.
(33:44):
So it can be quite a big dealto get rid of some stuff.
So it's not just like let's getrid of it.
You're going to be happy.
You might have to do somehealing within that, but we had
a whole episode about that.
Yeah, yeah, it was a big dealespecially for me, it is a big
deal and I think when there'swhen people can be too flippant
and say just throw it away, getyou know, declutter.
(34:04):
I think there's a bit moregoing on than that, because
you've got to do the healingjourney first.
You can help yourself byraising the vibration, playing
happy music, having thingsaround that make you feel joyous
, not having things that makeyou feel sad.
So, for example, let's just saysomebody's passed and you've
got a photo up of them when theywere quite poorly, just being
(34:28):
diagnosed, or it reminds you ofthem not being well.
So you want the photo becauseyou want to be, you know, you
want to remember them.
But if you look at it and think, oh yeah, they died just after
that or just before that thishappened, it's going to generate
a vibration of not the bestenergy.
So you're much better having apicture where they would be
(34:52):
happy in their prime, or havingan item that fills you with joy,
not things that are going tojust for the sake of it or
because you feel obliged, because that will bring the
energy down, and just havingthings around you that bring you
joy, energy down and justhaving things around you that
bring you joy and that that'spictures, whether that's colors,
um crystals, you know clearquartz crystals known as the
master healer.
There's lots.
(35:13):
Bells are really good, themusic and sound bowls they're
really good at helping to clearthe energy there and sometimes
the energy.
I mean I'm not a big fan andbeliever, really, of negative
spirits, but negative energy Iam and I've seen it where I did
a house cleansing and it wasabout this big.
(35:34):
And if I didn't see it, youknow I'm Taurus with Capricorn,
so I'm grounded.
I'm not, although I'm woo-woo.
I also am quite sceptical.
So I saw this black, it wasabout this big and it was like a
cloud.
I'm quite skeptical.
So I saw this black, it wasabout this big and it was like a
cloud and it just floated outfrom one door, went down on the
floor past my legs and out theother door and in that house
she's had a lot of abuse, physical and mental abuse.
(35:56):
We were there to help clear itand that energy had a form.
It didn't have an intelligence, but it created enough form to
disrupt things, to make thingsmove, to make things jump off
the wall, to smash.
But it wasn't.
It didn't have a spiritualintelligence which meant you
could get rid of it.
So you couldn't bargain with itlike you can, the spirit world.
(36:18):
They've got their ownintelligence.
They'll go when they want to go.
They don't need a human, in myopinion, to move them on.
They're attached to the source,god.
They can do that themselves ina blink of an eye.
But a negative energy that'sbeen built up over a period of
time through trauma or arguments.
We can do something about thatbecause it's got no intelligence
and that's where all thiscleansing comes in.
(36:39):
So if it's deep, then it mightneed to be done every day, every
week.
But if it's deep, then it mightneed to be done every day every
week.
But if it's not that heavy andit's just I mean certainly when
you move into a new place youwould want to do it.
It might just be once every fewweeks, once a month, that you
want to do it.
So it would depend how heavyand you could use all of it Bit
of sound, bit of singing, bit ofclapping, bit of saying.
(37:02):
You could use a bit of all ofit.
Lauren (37:13):
It's not going to hurt
for those of us and our
listeners who have children, especially young children, who
just create clutter, create messlike all the time.
What.
What advice do you have formanaging?
I mean not like managing itbecause just you know, tell your
kids yeah.
Kate (37:30):
How does that?
Lauren (37:30):
affect, like the energy
of their room.
Kate (37:33):
Yeah, it will affect.
And the thing with Feng Shui isif it's not broke you don't
need to fix it.
So if the children are happy, they're sleeping well, they're
doing well at school or nurseryor college, you don't really
need to do a lot.
But if they are starting tostruggle with any of that um,
particularly sleeping or makingfriends, then their rooms energy
will will come into play.
(37:53):
And some children um, and morenow my son as well is they have
aghd or or some kind of umneurod condition there.
And most of those childrenactually quite like dark colours
or they like their room.
They like the curtains closedbecause it feels quiet.
So when they've got ADHDparticularly, their mind is very
(38:15):
busy.
So having their room with darkcolours or the curtains closed
means it's quiet for them, it'snot loud and busy.
In Feng Shui we want theopposite.
We want the curtains open, wewant the windows wide open, we
want light in.
But it's your child's bedroom soit's not fair to do that when
it's their energy.
So this is going to sound a bitnuts, maybe not, but it's good
(38:39):
to talk to your room and talk toyour home.
So my son's bedroom he has likedark curtains and he doesn't
put the light on.
He wanted black bedding, acompromise with black walls.
We've got one black wall andhis room in my home's energy is
(39:00):
actually my money area and mymoney remedy is fire, which is
reds, yellows, oranges, black iswater, so it waters it down, so
I can't go and change his roomto reds because you've got age
hd and that will send him offthe wall.
He wants all the dark colors.
So you talk to the room and youjust say to the room you know,
(39:21):
ideally I would love this to bebright and well lit, but I can't
because X, y, z.
So therefore, work with me andinspire me.
Tell me what I need to do.
So what I was inspired to dowas just to get a couple of red
and yellow throws, which heloves to have around him, and I
(39:43):
just put one on the back of hisbed and one on his actual bed.
So when you walk in, you seethat fire colour and that's what
the energy rooms.
As soon as he's not in the room, I'm opening all the curtains
and the windows and then, assoon as he's back, he closes
them.
But that's okay, it's theclutter around.
Again, if you've got anyonewith aghd um, they love a mess,
(40:08):
um, they, they they've got floordroves, so I do just have to
keep putting floor droves that'sfunny for him.
It overwhelms him if I tell himput it away, oh, and do this.
It's too much.
So I just have to learn that Ihave to do it for him because it
bothers me more than it bothershim.
(40:29):
Yeah, but I do, I do.
I mean, he's 16, he's not ababy.
I do say to him you know, ifyou don't tidy your room this
week or by this day, you're notgoing to get your pocket money.
So then he will grudgingly doit.
But depending on their age, youmight have to do it for them.
But it's just.
It's trying to get their things.
They want their toys around.
It makes them feel safe.
So trying to get things put inboxes with a lid on them and
(40:49):
maybe trying to make it fun ifthey're little, like having a
game with it, like who can fillup the box the quickest, or some
kind of game, um, of trying toget everything put away at the
end of the day.
Ideally we want things storedaway with a lid on them.
We want wardrobes closed.
We don't want clothes be leftout.
We don't want shoes to be leftout, because that's tired energy
from the day so that can affectthem sleeping.
(41:11):
Ideally we don't want anythingunder the bed, but a lot.
So if you do need to put thingsunder the bed, try and make it
soft, like bedding or pillows, nothing that's metal or hard um,
it's what about shoes?
Lauren (41:26):
because we have, like we
each have a big container of
shoes under our beds.
What is that okay, I think?
Kate (41:32):
that I'm under the beds.
I wouldn't put them on the bedsbecause it's literally like
you're walking in your sleep.
All that energy that's goingfrom your shoes, um is going to
disturb your sleep again.
If you've got no problemsleeping, it's not an issue, but
if you do have problemssleeping, I would definitely
take the shoes out, and ideallywe don't really want shoes in
the bedroom, but if we have to,in a lidded container or in the
(41:55):
wardrobe with the doors closedthere, but certainly in some
kind of lidded container, butnot under the bed if you're not
sleeping properly.
What other things that childrenreally like?
Frank (42:05):
is.
I'm suddenly planning a trip tothe what's it called the
storage.
Kate (42:11):
Yeah, get all the
containers.
Frank (42:12):
Container storage.
Kate (42:13):
I love a container, I love
a container, and a lady member
as well, and you've got Virgo aswell, so that would be a good
job to bring in to geteverything organized.
Oh yeah, you do that yeah.
But children job to bring in toget everything organized yeah,
you do that, yeah, yeah.
But children's rooms they theylike to feel supported, so they
do like stuff around them.
But having photos of you guys orparents, family, friends is
(42:35):
really good in the children'sbedrooms oh okay with making
friends, we want to make surethat there's no single pictures,
no solitary pictures, noanimals that are on their own.
We want to have collectivepictures where we've got like a
whole farmyard or like a wholegroup of friends there, and
ideally softer colors.
(42:55):
But you know, you have to be abit careful because if they're a
bit older they get to choose.
And we don't really want amirror facing the window because
any energy that comes in isgoing to bounce out, and we
don't really want a mirrorfacing the bed, because then
when they're trying to sleepthey've got that mirror portal
energy swirling around, the sameas a television facing the bed
(43:16):
will do the same thing, quitelike a headboard up against a
wall, because that's going tomake them feel supported.
And, like you said at thebeginning, we don't really want
what's called the coffinposition.
We don't want the feet to befacing the door, but we do want
to see the door so that we'renot feeling like who's coming in
without us seeing.
So we want to be able to seethe door, but not with our feet
(43:38):
by the door.
Frank (43:39):
Okay, we got that one
covered.
Kate (43:48):
In an adult's bedroom we
don't want, want photos only of
adults and maybe a sexy embraceor something that's to do with
love, and we don't want anyfamily photos or pet photos.
Frank (43:52):
But in children's
bedrooms we do in our in our
bedroom, we have a photo oflauren giving me a piggyback
ride.
Is that it's?
Kate (44:00):
fine, it's fun.
It's fun Anything that involveslove, romance or fun.
Lauren (44:05):
Okay, we have mountains
above our bed, like the three, a
trio of mountains.
Frank (44:17):
It's like an artistic
rendition of mountains.
It's more of art.
Kate (44:20):
So what do mountains
symbolize for you Like?
Lauren (44:26):
adventure and like
beauty yeah.
Kate (44:30):
I wouldn't have it above
your head, because anything
above your head can again, it'sonly a problem if it's a problem
can disrupt your sleep.
Sometimes mountains are goodfor support, but they can also
be seen as blocks as well.
So I probably wouldn't have amountain picture in the bedroom
ideally.
However, in feng shui it'sespecially modern feng shui, the
(44:52):
one that I've learned with mybrilliant teacher Kimberly it's
also like something.
So I personally would seemountains although they do come
in feng shui um as support, asalso a little bit of a block.
So, because I know that that'swhat it would represent for you,
it represents somethingbeautiful, so you've got a
different spin to it to me.
So that is kind of override.
(45:16):
If there was something whereit's like, oh no, mountains are
a no-no, because you love it, itwould override it there.
So the modern feng shui is morelike.
It has to fit with you, it hasto be comfortable for you.
I just wouldn't have it aboveyour bed, above your head there,
and I would have it somewherewhere, maybe where you could see
it if it reminds you of joy andbeauty.
Um, but anything above the headcan be disruptive with sleep
(45:41):
there hmm, how do you do yousleep?
Lauren (45:45):
Do you sleep both?
I sleep very well, this guyhonestly, this guy I haven't
slept well, since we got here, which is interesting.
Kate (45:53):
That's interesting.
Frank (45:54):
Yeah, but we also.
You know what?
What's funny is that we have amirror facing our bed and then
out of going out of a like asliding glass door.
So we were in the worstsandwich between a door and a
mirror, and I think and I'vebeen saying please put that
mirror in the hallway.
And I'm like it's a whole thing.
I got to install it.
I'm going to move it.
Kate (46:17):
Yeah, I would, or just
cover it up for the minute.
When you go to bed, just justput a cloth over it or something
that could be disrupting theenergy there are.
There are things I mean it canget slightly complicated, which
we don't want, but there arethings where, um, both of you
will have your own personalnumber, your own personal
elements and the place whereit's going to be really
(46:37):
comfortable for you and theother ones probably unless
you're exactly the same numbersum, where you're going to have
your best place to sleep, andthen the other one's going to
have their best place to sleep.
My best place to sleep iscompletely different position to
my husband's.
As far as the numbers go, oneof us is going to lose out.
So it's about again on paper.
Old-fashioned feng shui wouldbe like well, he, that's his
(46:58):
prime position, he needs to bethere.
But you need to be there.
That's not practical, so youhave to work in a way where
you're a little bit flexiblewith yours.
If you've got things under thebed shoes, I would remove that.
I would change the mirror, seeif that makes a difference and
maybe move that picture.
Just see if that makes adifference.
If you're sleeping, that's allgood.
It would probably be that yourenergies in that room aren't
(47:20):
aligned, but there's things thatyou can do about that.
Frank (47:29):
I'm going to do the
classic'm gonna I'm gonna paint
a red line down the middle ofour room, like it really sounds
like a big part of feng shui isto protect what you're exposed
to essentially if everything inyour, in your immediate
surroundings, has like a, a deepmeaning or an energetic
vibration like you've really gotto be more aware of that
instead of pretending likeeverything was just fine and
like got to be more aware ofthat instead of pretending like
(47:50):
everything was just fine andlike what inanimate.
Lauren (47:52):
Yeah, yeah, I'm
obsessing about everything.
Kate (47:52):
Now I'm looking at our
kitchen like once you, it's a
blessing in the curse, once youknow, you can't unknow it, you
can't unknow it.
And then why is my husband mad?
Because I'm like what do youthink you're doing?
You can't do that.
Um, and then if I leave a bagout or something, he'll be like
is that good feng shui?
Lauren (48:09):
oh, no, using it against
you oh, I'm gonna.
Frank (48:16):
That's the book I'm gonna
write.
I'm gonna call it feng shui, uhweaponized, where I use it
against everybody to pick uptheir stuff once and for all.
That's funny.
So okay, you.
It seems like there's a lot ofnumerology associated with Feng
Shui.
Kate (48:33):
There is, but not in the
same sense.
So numerology is completelyseparate and Feng Shui has its
own.
Well, the flying stars ones, that I think, has its own
numbers and there's like a grid,there's a nine.
So the home is split into nineareas Wealth, love, health,
(48:53):
career, travel, et cetera.
And in those areas when we dothe floor plan, when I look at
somebody's floor plan, I'mlooking at when the house was
built or when it's had a newroof either either, and that
gives me the year that it wasbuilt, which gives me a certain
number, and I'm marrying thatnumber up with the cycle that
(49:19):
we're in at the moment, I'mmarrying that up with the year
that we're in and that createsanother number and these numbers
get floated over these grids.
So we end up with three to fourdifferent numbers over these
grids and it's those numbercombinations that tell me what
remedies you need.
So, for example, I did a clientrecently and I already knew
that her husband was havinglegal problems connected to his
(49:42):
brother and I knew that theywere having a lot of arguments
in the home.
And when I did her number grid, literally one of the numbers
came to.
The positive aspect when theyhave the remedies in was that it
was going to neutralize and bevery successful, particularly
for her career.
But if it wasn't remedied, thenumber combination came to um,
(50:04):
legal problems and argumentswith outside influences,
especially brothers, and I waslike oh my god, and I phoned her
straight away, left a voicemessage, said you're never going
to believe this.
Blah, blah, blah.
I cannot wait until we've doneyour home and you've put these
remedies in.
It's going to be such a gamechanger for you.
So the numbers tell me what theproblem is and how we can fix it
(50:25):
.
And it's fixed using the fiveelements.
So it could be water, it couldbe earth, it could be metal, it
could be fire, could be redearth there.
So there's different elementsthat will, and wood as well.
So there's different elementsthat will balance it out.
(50:45):
So, like I said, my south, at mymoney area, the southwest,
southeast needs fire.
Now I'd not long decorated withsome blue cushions, which is
water, so they went and in camesome orange instead.
Locally is quite neutral, so itstill matched um.
And in my north last year Ineeded the fire, but this year I
(51:09):
needed earth, which is greatbecause earth is all crystals.
So I was like I could just puta load of crystals there.
So the remedies are very simple.
The hardest remedy is metal, butand it's done with weights and
it doesn't have to be on show, they can be in a basket, um,
where it's not quite so obvious.
There some things you mightwant on show but it doesn't.
(51:32):
You wouldn't know when you walkinto home, you wouldn't
necessarily know that it's hadfeng shui, weird remedies.
In my home I've got some weirdstuff.
I had, um, I had the cable guycome out and he he said when he
left he said I noticed those redbricks at the bottom of your
stairs in the basket.
Can I ask what that's about?
And I was like, oh, I neededred earth in my southwest area.
(51:53):
And he was just like, oh, I seemyself.
Frank (51:59):
Well, I don't know.
Kate (52:02):
It's very subtle and lots
of things can be used for it oh,
this is so interesting.
Frank (52:09):
Oh no, I want to know
everything about this I feel
like this is.
This is lightening me up thisis tickling something for lauren
this really is.
Kate (52:18):
Yeah, I absolutely love it
.
And um, yeah, on the theopportunities that my husband
and my son have had, even thoughthey don't believe in it they
think it's just a coincidencedoing things in our hallway
which represents your umopportunities, your front door,
in your hallway, it's just yeah, just amazing this year's been
(52:40):
that everybody could do a fengshui to initially.
Here's a few tips.
So we, with manifestation, itworks on a vibration.
So we're taught you knowthere's so much about
manifestation from the Law ofAttraction book and we're taught
to just put it out to theuniverse and then it will come.
But if we don't really believethat, or if we don't feel that
we're valued enough or that wedeserve it, it's going to come
(53:02):
from a place that's a bit knotty, so it's not going to be smooth
, it's not going to attract ifwe really don't believe it and
we really don't live it.
So we have to not just sendthat thought out but actually
live it and believe it as well.
So, anything to do withmanifestation, we really have to
believe at our core.
If there's a slight doubt, thenthe universe will pick that up
(53:25):
and that again is like whenthings are in alignment with you
, there won't be any doubt andthere won't be any knots.
It will just, it will just work.
The little tips I can giveeverybody for feng shui is um,
no fake flower, no fake plantsor fake flowers.
They are literally dead energyor stale or stagnant energy.
Um, ideally we want plants thatgrow upwards, because the
(53:47):
energy grows up.
If they grow downwards, wecould get depleted energy.
Okay, red ribbons, just a smallred ribbon, tied on your sinks
in your bathrooms and toilets uh, kitchen and bathroom and that
will slow the money going downthe drain because the water is
linked to money.
(54:07):
So by tying a little red ribbonon the sink underneath and the
pipes will slow that down.
Oh, okay, keep in your toiletlid seat down.
Again, same thing it will slowthe money going.
The only door in the house toreally be shut all the time is
the bathroom and the?
Um toilet doors every other.
(54:28):
It's good to have them open tolet the energy flow.
Nothing broken, light bulbsfixed and everything is in as
good working order that it canbe Certainly, like I said,
having things around you thatbring you joy, nothing that's
going to bring a bad memory oruncomfortable feeling.
(54:49):
Your hallway is youropportunity, or your or your
entrance sorry is youropportunity.
So it's really good, especiallyon the first of the month, to
give your front door a nice, good, clean.
Um, I always use cinnamon, butif you've got pets you might
want to throw a cinnamon stick.
But over the threshold, on thefirst of every month I blow a
piece, a bit of cinnamon andjust say, where the cinnamon
(55:09):
blows, abundance flows.
And I do that in my work and inmy shop and in my home.
And the entrance is what'scalled the mouth of chi.
So that's where we get thingscoming in, good things coming in
.
So we don't want a mirrorfacing your front door.
So because as soon as you openyour front door, if that's the
(55:30):
first thing you see, the energyis going to come in, but it's
going to bounce back out again.
So you might find theopportunities come in, but they
don't really go anywhere.
Frank (55:38):
The hallway but it's like
our doors here like it opens up
and then we have a mirror here.
Kate (55:46):
So you walk past me?
Yeah, can you see your dooropen from the mirror?
Potentially, yeah, if.
If you can, that means that socan the energy.
So if your front door is openand you can see the mirror, then
the energy will bounce straightback out.
So you ideally want to just putthe mirror to the other side so
this game of energy is likebilliards, like it's.
Frank (56:09):
It's even if it's at an
angle.
You hit an angle, it's going tobounce out everywhere and all
that stuff.
Kate (56:13):
Yeah, and there are good
things that you can do.
So because it's the mouth ofcheer.
We want the energy to come inIf we've got a lot of windows at
the back of the stairs or rugsor plants in the hallway.
Not too many, no clutter in thehallway, but just enough just
to slow the energy down if yourfront door faces a back door or
(56:36):
a window.
So there's a few little tipsjust to get people going.
Frank (56:40):
First of all, I need to
get some energy speed bumps in
here.
Yeah, we gotta slow it downI've got the same.
Kate (56:47):
As soon as I open my front
door, I can see my back door.
So I've got um a piece offurniture where I've got some
crystals and some plants on,because that slows it down.
I've also got a mat um and arunner to slow it down and some
crystals at the bottom of thestairs.
Frank (57:02):
Oh, okay, well, this,
this, this like dresser thing we
have behind us.
It's a hutch that we have ourfront doors over here and our
back doors over there and that'salmost in the way.
Kate (57:13):
There's plants and
crystals on it and all kinds of
stuff that will be enough toslow it down, okay okay, phew
something to be able to getpeople in happy in their homes,
happy in their lives, supported.
That's what we're here for.
Everybody says you know what'smy purpose?
Your purpose is to be happy.
(57:33):
Your purpose is to feel likeyou're fulfilled.
It's not necessarily and itmight be for some to earn £1,000
an hour or to like have thebiggest house in the world.
Your purpose is so simple.
It's just to be happy, and thatshould start from within being
happy with you yourself, butcertainly being happy with your
home.
(57:54):
That's all you need.
If you've got a happy home, happy within happy family,
you're rich beyond your dreamsanyway.
Frank (58:00):
Then what happens if
someone has multiple homes?
What if you have a two-storyhouse where it's kind of the
same?
Yeah, it won't matter.
Kate (58:10):
So in the, whether it's
two story, three story, four
story, whatever remedies you dodownstairs, you just duplicate
over the stories and exactlybecause you're still going to
have north, south, east, west, exactly the same.
So you just do the same thing.
Um, if you've got multiplehomes, then it would, because
the home is all based on when, what year, the home was built.
You just, um would redo it forthose different homes there.
Lauren (58:30):
They'd all have a
different, different numbers,
different okay, and so the homehas a number and then the people
in it have their own number.
Yes, and that kind of tells youwhere.
Kate (58:43):
Yeah, the personal people,
personal power, number um, that
never.
So once you've got that, that'sreally you know, you've got
that.
That won't change, whereas thehouse numbers change every
February.
Now, every February doesn'tmean that you need a whole
analysis done, because it'salready been done.
All you need is the remedies.
So it takes about an hour to dothose remedies, whereas the
(59:05):
home analysis takes about threeweeks to do, two weeks to do,
and then I work with somebodyfor about three months because
we want to make sure that it'sright.
There are some things that justneed a bit of tweaking when we
do the remedies, but the top-upone each year it takes me about
an hour.
So once you've had the wholelot done, you don't need that,
you just need it every February.
(59:26):
The top-up, the people one thatis brilliant for finding out
where your success area is, sothe best place that you could
either, if you're working fromhome be, or the colors that you
wear, the best colors that aregoing to work for you, for
success and for job interviewsor for doing networking, doing
(59:49):
talks, doing podcasts.
But also it tells you thecolors that could drain you as
well.
So it just tells you.
It's a whole range of colors.
It's not just red or pink.
It'll be a whole range ofcolors that are going to support
you, colors that are going toenhance and then colors that are
going to drain you as well, andthat can go into things like
(01:00:11):
where you want to sit so much inhome, the best place for you to
sit, or the best place for youroffice to be, which would be
your success area.
There, again, there's differentlayers, but it can get
complicated when you live withother people and their best
position is facing the tellythat way, but your best position
is facing the telly that way.
So I don't tend to go too muchin over-complicating it.
(01:00:35):
You don't need it.
Once you know your colors andyou know the remedies, that's
all you really need to know.
There's a lot of gimmicky stuffwith it.
Frank (01:00:41):
Let's, let's.
I know someone who only wearsblack and because he hates he
hates fashion, he tries to freeup his mental space, to not
think about what colors he'sgoing to wear that day.
Now let's say for some, someloser like that, the if they
(01:01:03):
were to, let's say, if they knewwhat color they should be
wearing, if they were to wearlike a pendant or a ring, would
that cover the bases or are theystill just toast because they
uh?
Kate (01:01:15):
it's interesting with the
black because black is a.
Although it's a watercolor,it's it is a quieter.
So if somebody has got a lot ofenergy or they want to, um, not
necessarily be seen, black isquite a good color to water down
.
However, it is also a dominantcolor.
It's like authority color and alot of people wear black suits
(01:01:37):
when they used to go into allthe meetings.
So there's a power color withblack, but also a watering down
color with black as well, andyou've got to be comfortable.
You have still got to becomfortable.
You can definitely enhance itwith I don't know scarves black
as well, and you've got to becomfortable.
You have still got to becomfortable and you can
definitely enhance it with Idon't know scarves or hats or
accessories maybe not scarfaccessories.
(01:01:57):
You could enhance it, but itwon't be the same, but it will
be better than you know.
If you want to wear black, butmaybe wear like if just say your
color is earth, let's just say, whoever it is, their color is
earth.
Um, so earth could be whoeverit is, their color is earth, so
earth could be like this type ofcolor.
Earth could be ranging frombrowns, beiges, even some greens
, so you might wear like a greenor earthy t-shirt underneath it
(01:02:19):
, so you've still got yourprotective black.
Frank (01:02:23):
You feel safe in the
black but you've got your power
color underneath.
Kate (01:02:28):
I have a lot of homework
to do.
You can also wear colored pantsjust to, so you know you don't
need to wear them.
You've got your power there.
Frank (01:02:35):
I will say.
I mean, I'm wearing my what Icall my space underwear right
now, so it looks like the AuroraBorealis and I love it so much,
and it's the only thing that'scolorful on me.
Lauren (01:02:47):
Well, it's the only
thing that's colorful on me and
well, I have completely somehowtaken on a very similar like not
all black, but a lot of blackas well, and I've recently been
like I need to change thatbecause I think it's I don't
know, it's bringing me down orsomething.
But yeah, it's, I don't knowit's bringing me down or
(01:03:09):
something but yeah, it's a safecolor.
Kate (01:03:17):
Yeah, it is a safe color
and it's slimming and it's
practical and and it goes witheverything, so it is a safe
color.
So it's not to say you cannever not wear it, but it's just
being mindful that if you weregoing to go for an interview or
if you were going to go um forsomething where you wanted to be
known or stood out, then thatwould be better to wear your
power colour.
But if you just want to mincearound at home, you could still
stay wearing your black there.
It's interesting, though, thatyou're becoming aware that you
(01:03:39):
want to get out of that, andthat, again, might be to do with
the new home that you're in,that you do want to bring a bit
more light to your life, thatyou do want to bring a bit more
light to your life, that you dowant to bring a bit more
vitality to your life.
There I've got, I think it'sabout it's 11 pound I don't know
what that is in dollars, probably about 15, 16 dollars,
I'm not sure sounds about right.
(01:03:59):
A download which will tell youyour personal colors.
It's available.
Well, it will be available nextweek.
The bad news is my website'sdown, but hopefully within the
next week it will be all up andthere's a whole bunch of
different resources, and theyall range from 11 pounds to 22
pounds.
Some of them are free as well, and there's a lot of tips for
lots of areas on there.
(01:04:20):
There is, yeah, lots ofdifferent things, not just Feng
Shui, but also tarot and alsopsychic things that people can
have access through via download.
So how do you?
Lauren (01:04:30):
how do you find your
number?
Is that like a test on yourwebsite or is that something you
can google and like calculateyeah, no, I'd need to do.
Kate (01:04:38):
Oh no, so your personal
number?
You mean?
So through the download?
Yeah, it tells you how to do it.
It's super easy and it's onyour date of birth, there which
is on a grid, and it tells you, tells you your date of birth,
and then it will have yournumber if you're male or your
number if you're female, andthen it gives you the list of
what that number means, whatthat personality means.
(01:04:58):
Also, in that is your Chinesesign, what that means, and also
how you can work out yourpersonal tarot card.
Everybody's got their ownpersonal tarot card as well.
Mine's number nine, the hermit,or based on your date of birth.
So all of that is in with thisdownload, which is 11 pounds.
Frank (01:05:16):
Wait.
So this is a really good timeto just give plugs and stuff.
Are you okay with that?
Lauren (01:05:21):
Yeah, but I have so many
.
I have so many more questions, but okay.
Frank (01:05:26):
I think I think you're
going to hear from Lauren.
Could you tell everybody realquick just where to find you
what you're working on?
Kate (01:05:32):
Yeah, the best thing while
my website's down.
So my website is normallycalled katemaycouk.
That may have to change tokatemayuk if we can't get the
domain name.
That's the problem with it.
But, the best thing to do is to.
I'm on Instagram under kate maymodern day mystic and that's my
favorite platform, and I'm on Ihave a facebook group called
(01:05:55):
make kate may modern day mysticvery active in that group.
So both of those platforms um,you can get hold of me.
I do, like I say, reading everysingle day on instagram.
I've got stuff on YouTube.
There's learning, tarotlearning and, yeah, lots of
things on YouTube.
Same handle, kate May ModernDay Mystic.
(01:06:15):
And then, as soon as thewebsite is ready and the
downloads are ready, it will beannounced on either one of those
platforms the Facebook group orthe Instagram.
Lauren (01:06:25):
Kate, you are an
absolute delight.
