Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello Voyagers, how's it going?
Hello Frank and Lauren here.
Hi, just so you know, today isFriday, january 17th, and we
missed two weeks of episodes.
Yes, lauren, why.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
There's a lot of reasons.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
There's a handful of reasons.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
There's a big one and it's still burning.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
In Los Angeles.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Yes, there have been fires, as I'm sure you know,
going on in the LA area and welive just outside of LA and it
has affected us just in thatwe've experienced high winds and
power outages.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Power outages.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
That is the big thing for us.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
And the looming threat of potentially having to
evacuate at some point.
It seems like, with the windsdying, now we're back in
business, but I packed up thestudio twice.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yes, we had a lot of things ready in our car, just
because everything was lightingon fire last week and the week
before.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Oh, and the crescendo was.
For some reason, a house acrossthe street from ours caught
fire.
There wasn't even any wind.
No one even knows why.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Suspicious much.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
We.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
This is a conspiracy theory show.
Now, no, it's not.
Yeah, it is.
I'm bringing Alex Jones back.
Oh my God, oh no, folks, folks.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Who's lighting?

Speaker 1 (01:28):
the fires.
It's a land grab.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Oh wow, he really cracked himself up on that one.
Sorry, I like that.
Anyway, we've had to rescheduleor we had to cancel several
interviews because we had nopower, no Wi-Fi, and our whole
town was out of power.
So obviously we're not in thesituation where other people are
, where they've lost homes oranything which is like
devastating.
We just haven't been able tohave a podcast.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Small fries.
Who cares Small fries?

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Small fries yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Small potatoes.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Small potatoes.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Small fry.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Oh, small fry.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
My love for fried foods and potatoes in general um
anyway, we're good, in fact, today is our daughter's birthday
and we are going to dave andbusters tonight.
Yeah, who now sponsors the show?
Just kidding, but I wish theywould.
Investors, yeah, come on so acouple of things, guys.
Um, just just for a second, yeah, just for a second.

(02:27):
Let's talk about if you'relocal and this has been
affecting you, like sometimes, especially if you're in the
spiritual community, you mightfeel like you want to pull
meaning out of things likedevastating fires, or I, I have
a tendency to do that.
What does this mean?
We devastating fires, or I, Ihave a tendency to do that.
What does this mean?
We're always in that we talkabout like soul contracts and
shit like that all the time, andit makes me I find myself

(02:50):
falling into the rabbit hole ofwhat does it mean?
What's the lesson in this?
And like the truth is that, because it's not happening to us
, like, I'm not the right personto come up with that.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
So what I will say, especially, because you just
don't want it to be, I don'tknow, offensive or like
insensitive to someone havingtheir own experience.
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
So if you find yourself a fan of the show, a
local, and you're trying to pullsomething out of this, I will
say this that you should just dothe best you can right now and
focus on on rebuilding your lifeand and healing yourself.
Take the time you need forhealing.
That is number one.

(03:34):
That's number one.
That's the clairvoyagingtakeaway today.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Yeah, I mean we really the only impact that we
had again was was stressful windand the chance of something
lighting on fire and our powergoing out and still, because we
know those areas so well andlike I know some people who lost
their homes and like I knowsome people who lost their homes

(03:58):
, it's so it's like you can feelthe collective grief from
everyone and the collectivestress and I think, like I mean
I know I got Frank at some pointcalled me like the eyes in the
sky or the command center.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Oh, Lauren was K-Cal 9, Lauren Lee and I in the sky
with our eyes on the fire, up todate on the hour.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
I had the WatchDuty app.
I had the PulsePoint app and Iwas like if something popped up.
I was like listening to thedispatcher, just what am I going
to do?
Nothing.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
There's nothing.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
I can do.
You can dispatch like she'sSpider-Man, Honestly some of it
is just like wow, that's.
That's fascinating to hear how, one, how calm the first
responders are, yeah, and two, just to hear how they like I
don't know contact each other.
But but I have to say like Istarted neglecting my own

(04:57):
well-being because it's like Iwanted to put this feeling
somewhere.
I wanted to have a reason forhow I was feeling and I think,
because you can't do anything, you feel so helpless.
There's like this grief andsadness for somebody else.
You want to feel like there'ssomewhere to put it, and that's

(05:17):
at least how I felt.
I don't know what to do withthis, yeah, else you want to
feel like there's somewhere toput it, and that's at least how
I felt.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
No, I was like so one thing that I don't know what to
do with this yeah, one thingthat I wrote down specifically
is that I'm going to underlineit right now there is no valor
in commiseration, so not to sayto like, forget about everything
that's going on and forgetabout what people are going
through, but do what you can.
If you feel folks, if you feelcompelled to help, like help in

(05:43):
any way, you can, um, if youlike, have any resources that
you can lend, like lend them tothe proper organizations that
you have selected, that that areauthentic to your, your mindset
and what you would like to helptowards.
Um, you know, there's likeshelters, there's animal
shelters, all kinds of stuffthat need help.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Oh yeah, there's organizations doing a lot of
really great work.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
And if you don't have any excess resources, like what
we were just talking aboutrecently with Renny Merkel.
Um, that concept of uh, what isit?
Not?
Not thoughts and prayers, butlike really using your
connection to source, Use yourbody as a battery and send that
energy, that positive, healingenergy, to the areas that need

(06:26):
it the most.
Even if you don't know a person.
Just the general direction.
She talked about using leylines.
We haven't really talked aboutley lines, but look it up real
quick, Use it.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Think about it like a power cable directly to the
area, the affected area yeah andthen, like you know something,
like I made a joke about it inthe beginning, just now, but
when I was pretending to be alexjones, but like I'm, I'm, I
find myself slipping into alittle bit of the uh,
conspiratorial.
Not that the fires are started,I don't know, I don't know

(06:58):
about that, but like, specifically, like there are
always going to be, you know, there are predatory land grabs
happening, or at least thesituation is right for it.
So if you are in a positionwhere you can try and prevent
that or bring awareness to thatkind of thing, that would be
helpful.
So, however, you that'sprobably just the

(07:22):
anti-capitalist in me.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
That's fine, that's okay.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
That's fine.
However, you help, help, butthen after that, once you do
your bit, you're going to beable to let it go.
It's not yours.
It's not yours If you want todo like a once a day check-in or
once they send vibes like thekind of thing, do that, but you
don't have to feel thecollective, collective pain.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
He is secretly talking to me.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
We, we need you as an unaffected person at your best.
At your best.
Yeah, so you can promote, yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Yeah, that's at your best, at your best.
Yeah, so you can elevated.
Yeah, yeah, that's.
That's something that I I havestruggled with.
As such a sensitive, empathicperson, I have a hard time not
just like being in it andfeeling like I.
There's almost like a moralresponsibility to feel
everyone's sadness and theweight of like the devastation.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
And there's not.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
And I don't.
That doesn't help.
I'm not.
It's not helping anything.
It's actually making thingskind of worse because I'm I'm
lowering my vibration by notlifting things up.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
So so, then, that's what I'm saying, about there
being no valor and commiseration.
Stay high vibes, stay sendinghealing energy and keep doing
your thing, and I think that'sthe only way forward.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
There's a difference between being aware of
situations and sitting in them.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
And like it's the equivalent of like doom
scrolling on your phone.
Has doom scrolling ever helpedanybody?
You don't.
You just don't need to sit inthat pain, that's all.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Yeah, I feel like the biggest takeaway is the first
thing that goes.
When we're in a stresssituation or feeling that like
collective grief and there is anemergency or disaster, the
first thing that goes foreveryone is self-care.
I mean, I was looking onthreads and just seeing comment

(09:26):
after comment of people like Idon't know what to do with
myself or how am I supposed togo to work and feel like
everything's normal.
Just living in LA or nearby isaffecting everyone, so.
But you have to really takecare of yourself so that you can
be there in support of thepeople who actually need it.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Take care of yourself .

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
For other people yeah .

Speaker 2 (10:00):
So we really just wanted a quick check-in, did you
?

Speaker 1 (10:02):
have other stuff to chat about?

Speaker 2 (10:02):
not really.
Yeah, it was just a quickcheck-in because, I don't know,
we felt kind of because we went.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
We went radio silent for two weeks here yeah, we
literally were disconnectedliterally disconnected no lights
, no camera, no Frank wasunplugging things and packing
them multiple times.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
No, poor me.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
I'm not going to complain about having to.
We have a generator for camping.
I'm like, oh, I got to fill itwith gas again.
I'm like, at least I have ahouse.
Man, you know, I'm not going tocomplain, I'm not complaining.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Oh my gosh, that's it too, the survivor guilt it's so
when something like thishappens, you feel guilty for
even complaining about anything.
Yeah, um, the people on likenext door, like when is our
power coming back on?
I need to get in touch withedison and I'm like you guys,

(10:50):
chill, there's zero survivorguilt on those, those threads no
, next door people are justpissed next door is next level
yeah um.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
But I will say one more thing actually, because
along the lines of that is, Ialso was on some quite toxic
threads um and forums aboutpeople saying like they're all,
it's all rich people and my bros.
No, it's not no it's not, it'sjust people.
Just because you live incalifornia, just because you
live near malibu, doesn't meanyou are rolling in it.

(11:22):
So yeah you have to like.
This isn't for those of you.
I'm not no one listen to theshow as a toxic person.
They're all good, but, but youknow, be wary of people out
there who, like me, I'm like, oh, yeah, like, I want this year
to be like a tower moment and Iwant us to like rebuild, but not
not at the cost of, like you, normal folks.

(11:45):
Right, yeah, so like, yeah, Iwant to see institutions
theoretically burn.
I don't want to see entirehillsides full of homes and
families burn.
That's insane.
So, yeah, I mean, I'm sureyou've seen people out there
saying, like it's all, it's allrich people like, who cares
about them?
Um, or like, then your toxicpositivity too, where it's like

(12:06):
it's just things it's justthings it's not that big of a
deal.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
At least you're alive yeah but like this, is true
trauma and grief and loss.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Treated like a death.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
You know their entire communities are gone, or their
school, or like the place thattheir children call home.
All these memories, all thethings that they're used to
having just being gone and tojust whittle it down to like I
mean, it is, it's just stuff.
But there's so much more tothat when you've built this

(12:39):
community and you've built aplace to live.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
So we will be back soon with we got to get our
people rescheduled.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
All of the interviews got canceled, so, yeah, yeah,
as of now, don't have a show fornext week, but we'll figure it
out.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
We'll do something.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
We'll figure it out.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Guys, we'll see you soon.
We love you.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Hearts and stars.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
Hearts and stars.
