Speaker 1 (00:20):
Hello everybody, and
this is Lydia Lupinto today, and
I'm going to remove thisbackground because it seems to
twitch.
Hold one one minute here.
I'm going to remove it virtualbackground and I'm just going to
(00:43):
have the green curtain, okay,so that this way you can see
that I got the book today.
It's fantastic.
I'm very happy with theillustrations and everything on
this book.
This is part of my anxietybooks.
(01:05):
I have a whole series now offive books.
I also have the anxietycoloring books which people just
grabbed at the craft show, because you'll never see
coloring books with this kind ofart.
They're fantastic.
(01:25):
Of course, there's always theChristmas book.
I'm going to talk about thatlater.
That's beautiful, but todaywe're going to talk about one of
my five books on anxiety.
And, of course, if you have apartner, a family member, if you
(01:57):
have a partner, a family member, most importantly, a boss, that
you depend on for your income, and that person is a narcissist,
you're going to have issues andyou can deal with them, but
sometimes you have to let go ofthem because they're very
difficult people.
So this book what it does isit'll give you the strength to
(02:18):
basically move.
Move on with your life andbecause your life is is very
short.
These are all the stories in it.
Your life is very short, really, and putting up with
narcissists is a very difficult.
It sucks the life out of you,and so it's better to find the
(02:41):
strength to move away from themthan to live with them.
Okay, here's a couple.
I'm gonna go through the imagesnow.
I just wanna show you what theylook like in the book.
Okay, the colors and everythingI'm gonna read.
I think the one thing that I'mgoing to read, I think the one
(03:19):
thing that the one story that Ithought was interesting is the
story of a boss, because I thinkwe all have had bosses, and
that would be more generic, andthat's the story of me.
Okay, so I'm gonna put thepicture on here.
That would the picture.
(04:00):
Every story is one page andit's purposely made short,
because I think that we want tomake an impact, uh, but we don't
want to stress you out with along story.
This is a picture book.
This is meant for you to read,a feel-good story that will
(04:23):
empower you, and the picturesare there to reinforce.
They're also very decorativeand very nice.
This one I'm going to readtoday.
Karen shuffled the papers on herdesk, her hands trembling
slightly Across the room.
Her boss, alan, was charmingthe executives with her
(04:47):
presentation.
The slides, the data, the pitch.
It was all her work.
For months she had told herselfit didn't matter that letting
him take the credit was part ofpaying her dues.
But today something snapped.
When the applause died down, karen stood, her heart pounded
(05:16):
and her palms were damp.
But she forced herself to walkto the front of the room.
Thank you for your time.
She said her voice strongerthan she'd expected.
I'd like to answer anyquestions about the analysis.
I conducted the research andprepared the recommendations.
(05:40):
The room went silent, alan'ssmile froze, his jaw tightening.
After an uncomfortable pause, the executives nodded and began
asking her questions.
She answered each one withprecision, her voice steady,
despite of her nerves.
When the meeting ended, shereturned to her desk.
(06:04):
When the meeting ended, shereturned to her desk.
Her heart was still racing, butfor the first time in months
she felt proud of herself.
Karen, the pride didn't lastlong, karen.
My office Now.
Alan barked as he stormed past.
She knew that was coming Behindthe closed door.
(06:29):
Alan didn't hold back.
Who do you think you areundermining me like that?
His voice was now controlled, but the venom was clear.
Karen met his glare.
I deserve credit for my work, alan.
That's all I did.
(06:49):
His response was swift You'refired, pack up your things.
Karen expected to feeldevastated, but as she cleaned
out her desk, an unexpectedsense of relief washed over her.
Walking out of the buildingwith her box of belongings, she
(07:12):
fell lighter.
She deserved better and shewould never let a narcissist
take advantage of her again.
So this is an interesting story.
There are many personal storiesin here.
There are 18 stories, manypersonal, many about partners
and about other people.
(07:33):
Because narcissists can beanywhere, it can be anybody.
Because narcissists can beanywhere, it can be anybody.
So this person took advantage ofthis girl by taking credit for
her work, and I have to say thatthat was me when I was a young
girl that looked a little bitlike this in my younger days,
(08:04):
younger days, and there was aboss that, as I started my
career as an engineer, there wasa boss who took over my report,
put his name on it, erased myname with whiteout and scribbled
his name on the report andpresented it as his to his boss.
Unfortunate for him, my bosscalled me in my office and
(08:24):
showed me this insanity andshowed that he was taking credit
for my work.
And I was just in completeshock.
I couldn't believe that someonewould do that.
You know, I didn't even thinkit was legal.
But he did it and but the bossrecognized it and told him.
(08:45):
But he never got fired fordoing something like that and
attempting it.
It was just, you know, he justlet me know.
I think maybe it was even tojust let me know that they can
do whatever they want.
Maybe it was even to just letme know that they can do
whatever they want.
And years later I left that jobbecause it was all like that,
you know.
But this kind of thing happensall the time and usually
(09:08):
narcissists make great bosses, they make great leaders in
companies.
So you're likely going to facea narcissist if you're working
for a corporation, and it's rareif you don't, and you should be
very happy if you don't.
But this is what happened tothis girl, which was actually me
(09:30):
.
A lot of the stories are notreal.
I make them up, but they'rebased on something I've heard
from somebody and I write themin this very brief format.
This is the whole story that Ijust read to you.
(09:51):
Now there are other stories isreclaiming her space because the
person that she thought sheloved was a fraud and took
advantage of her financially.
This is another fellow who alsowas taken advantage of by his
roommate, a lady that lived withan abusive husband who took the
(10:18):
joy out of her life andwouldn't allow her to laugh
Learning to laugh again.
A letter to my abuser.
This is a woman who was marriedunarranged marriage and this is
what happened to her.
So some of them are sad stories.
(10:39):
Here's a lady running away fromher husband who was abusive.
And here's a man who was abusedby his partner and he was
embarrassed to say that he wasbeing abused by his girlfriend.
Okay, taken advantage of.
(11:00):
A lot of times.
The abuse could be takingadvantage of you, financially or
otherwise.
Here's a woman who's sorelieved she finally hears the
children and she's relieved thatshe's left a relationship with
a narcissist.
She smiled again.
Here's another lady.
(11:20):
In this case, this person wasgaslighting her to the point
that she felt completelydevastated and she couldn't
paint anymore because he keptputting down her work and
gaslighting her to the pointthat she was basically paralyzed
(11:45):
.
And they can be very abusivepsychologically to the point
that they will paralyze youpsychologically.
It depends on what kind ofnarcissist you're dealing with,
but some of them can be verycunning narcissist you're
dealing with, but some of themcan be very cunning, and they do
do all these things purposely.
(12:05):
They keep it in mind, they haveplans to do this.
So that's the friend who savedme.
Here's another lady that wasabused and she looks in the
mirror and finally realizes whathas happened to her and she
finally has the strength to walkaway.
(12:28):
And this is done in a poem.
And here's the first story isactually with a wife walking
away from a husband who doesn'tsupport her writing.
So I think I've gone over thisbook before.
I just wanted to say that ifyou uh want to order it, I do
(12:50):
have a dozen copies in theoffice right now.
So if you order them from mywebsite at cloverleafpub and
I'll put the link you can buythem.
There's two buttons.
You can buy them from Amazon ifyou want to.
If you have Prime and youprefer to use Amazon, you can
(13:13):
always use it.
But if you buy it from me, I'llship you this one and I'll sign
it and dedicate it to you, andyou can.
There is a little box that youcan tell me what dedication you
want in your book, and I'll dothat.
You can also pair this up ifyou're using it as a gift.
Okay, you can pair it up withthis book which, um, for the
(13:39):
anxiety, is to relieve youranxiety, and it has these
beautiful, uh, angel images thatwhen you color them with pencil
, if you're good at it, you cancut it right out of the of here
and and put it up on the wall.
Or you can make a photocopy andput it up on the wall, or you
can make a photocopy, color itin and make your own print.
(14:00):
Okay, so these are beautifulimages.
I came up with these myself andthis is how it looks when you
color it and this is how itlooks before you color it.
There's a description in theback, so this will make a very
nice little gift.
People were grabbing these atthe craft show, grabbing them
(14:24):
right away.
I only had like a couplebecause I haven't gotten all the
copies today.
I got a dozen of these and adozen of these, okay, um, you
may also want to pair up thegift with the Christmas book for
the kids, and this is adorablebecause this is all done in a
vintage style and look at thebeautiful images of this book.
(14:52):
And what people wanted to buyit at the craft show is because
this is a treasure hunt.
And what people wanted to buyit at the craft show is because
this is a treasure hunt.
In other words, you take thisbook and you act it out with the
kids during Christmas and it'sa treasure hunt.
You're going to be finding themissing item on the tree, or the
tree won't talk.
See, the tree is magic, but itcan't talk without this missing
(15:16):
item, which I'm not going totell you what it is.
But all the animals in theforest.
But it can't talk without thismissing item, which I'm not
gonna tell you what it is.
But all the animals in theforest helped out by looking for
this missing item.
They all helped.
And, of course, you guys canlook for the missing item on the
tree and you can make a littlegame out of it.
It's got beautiful images, okay.
These are the kinds of imagesthat you could also frame.
(15:40):
I think some of these areframeable, okay, they're so cute
.
Look at this one the train, okay.
So I love vintage images, so Imade this book purposely with
the vintage images.
Look at the dog, okay, and it'sa very cute Christmas book.
(16:03):
So if you want to buy a package, you can buy the coloring book,
you can buy the Christmas book, buy the coloring book, you can
buy the christmas book andthat's some.
Definitely freedom fromnarcissists, which is a great
book for anyone who know who'sstruggling with that.
All for yourself.
Okay, I do have other bookscoming, uh, and if you look
(16:23):
online on my on my cloverleafpubunder the anxiety book, the
anxiety set of books, a series, you will find I have a number of
other books for anxiety.
I'm going to make a video aboutthe tea book.
(16:46):
I'm waiting for a copy.
There's a bunch of others ontalking to your inner child,
there's another one.
These are all things that whenyou go to therapists and they'll
tell you to do these things totalk to your inner child, think
about leaving the narcissistThey'll tell you all these
(17:08):
things, but you don't havestories or inspiration and it
may be very difficult to dothese things that they recommend
.
You know they might say youneed to color, but here is a
coloring book for adults, because color what You're going
to color a children's book.
Maybe you want to colorsomething that you can frame
(17:30):
later and this gives you someinstructions on how to color it,
but it's very artistic.
Okay, I do have some for cats,I have bags.
Also I'm going to be doing dogsand other things and horses,
but I think that the angels oneis the one that people really
(17:51):
liked.
So this book it's called Freedomfrom Narcissists Brave Stories
of Survival and Healing.
So these are inspirationalstories that you can read so you
can compare your situation tothese stories and see how bad it
is and whether you should beconsidering making a move away
(18:17):
from this narcissist.
In this case, the lady wasfired, so she had no chance to
make up her mind.
But the idea that whensomething like this happens, you
feel terrible because you haveto find another job, but you
learned your lesson, that thenext job you get, you're going
to make sure you're not going tobe working for narcissists or
(18:41):
you're going to learn sometechniques on how to deal with
them.
Okay, in the case of this woman, if she wanted to keep her job,
she should have neverundermined her boss.
If you're working for anarcissist, you're going to have
to put up with him.
Okay, you're not going tochange his mind.
(19:02):
You're not going to change him.
The only thing that can changeis you, and you may have to put
up with a lot of nonsense inorder to survive on that job,
and that I'm telling you forpersonal experience that you're
not going to win the battleagainst the narcissistic boss.
You're going to lose all thetime.
(19:22):
They're very strong people, they're very selfish people and
they just don't have a soul.
A lot of them.
They don't really have anyemotions or feel sorry for you.
They just fire you and that'sit.
So you can survive a narcissist, but you're gonna have to bend
(19:46):
and that may not always be whatsome people want to do.
This young girl learned the hardway that you go up against a
narcissist and you lose, andthat's the story I wanted to
bring to you.
She felt better, but now shehas to find another job.
Same thing with all the otherstories about the husbands or
(20:07):
the partners who arenarcissistic.
So this is probably my mostnegative book about the husbands
or the partners who arenarcissistic.
So this is probably my mostnegative book.
I don't have too many negativebooks.
They're all fun and rainbows.
I don't like negative books.
I've been writing novels aboutterrorism for too long and
lately Charles is in charge ofthe terrorist books and the
(20:31):
action books.
I'm more into the children'sbooks and the positive books,
and this is probably the onlyone that I'm going to put out
this year.
That's negative because it'sdealing with a negative
personality, which isnarcissists.
And in doing um, getting awayfrom somebody like this, you're
(20:52):
going to experience some pain.
But the only thing I could tellyou is, if you read enough
about narcissists and there'splenty of literature on them
they don't feel any pain.
You are the only one that feelspain.
They don't feel pain.
They don't feel sorry that youleft them.
They don't feel pain.
They don't feel sorry that youleft them.
They don't feel bad at all.
(21:13):
They just move on.
And you know they aren'tcapable of having certain
emotions like normal people.
They just don't have thatability to feel like you do.
Then it may not be veryempathic.
So in that case, you're, you're, you're.
(21:33):
It's a losing battle.
If you're trying to change anarcissist, the only thing you
can do is walk away and all thetherapists will tell you that uh
, and there's.
You know this is known, but thisstory and I think is isn.
I think these stories areempowering because they tell you
(21:54):
a short story about howsomebody else had to deal with
it and what the results were, and in some cases they were very
happy afterwards.
In other cases they were justglad to get away from them.
I love this picture.
This is a bride who got awayfrom them.
But look at this.
I love this picture.
This is a bride who got awayfrom her narcissist fiance, who
(22:18):
realized before it was too latethat she was not marrying the
right again.
You can get these books.
I think the narcissist book is14 and if you buy uh more than
uh than a hundred dollars worthof books, you get 30 off.
(22:42):
So you may want to stock up.
I do have all the other onesthat are the, the five books in
the anxiety.
You can buy all five and get a30 off at my website.
This.
You don't get that discount onamazon, you only get it from me
and uh, I'll make sure I don'thave them all in the office, but
(23:03):
I can order them and uh, itwill send them to you.
So if you always can alwayscontact me via email or through
my website or through theFacebook page and I will get
back to you if you have anyquestions about this and I will
(23:23):
continue to write books aboutanxiety.
As you know, in the past yearsago I think before COVID I
suffered from anxiety and lostvision in one eye not lost
vision, but movement of my lefteye and that even compounded the
(23:45):
anxiety.
So I was not well for quite along time.
So I do have knowledge, firsthand knowledge, of what anxiety
can do and how bad it can affectyou.
So, um, you may want to, uh,just take a look at these books.
(24:07):
It's coming, coming from theheart.
Some stories are my stories.
Some stories are just based onother stories I have read, and I
think I purposely wrote them tobe short and sweet and they're
really meant to be inspirationaland positive.
(24:28):
Even though the book Just theFreedom from Narcissists seems
negative, it's about freedomfrom these narcissists.
It's about reclaiming your lifeand how important that is,
because every minute you spendsuffering under a narcissist,
that's one minute that youhaven't lived because they have
(24:51):
you under their thumb.
They usually use financialleverage or emotional blackmail
to keep you around.
There's different techniques,so they make it difficult to
separate yourself from themseparate you know yourself from
(25:13):
them.
But these are the stories thatwill help you get away from the
narcissist and start living yourlife.
So thank you very much, and Iwill go over some of the other
books that I have.
I haven't gotten all the copiesyet because these are so new.
I've only been working on themfor a few months, so they're
just out and I'm going to goover them.
(25:35):
I think I posted a video onlineand I posted the links to each
of the books with the covers, and here I'll show you.
I showed you some of thepictures and I'll have a couple
of more videos with some morepictures of what these books are
about, so that you can get anidea of what's inside.
(25:56):
Thank you very much and have agreat Christmas.
Bye-bye now.
I'll see you soon because Ihave another book that I have to
present, probably tomorrow.
