Line Countdown with Jem as we're counting down the top
twenty songs and can you believe? Last week, Lady Gaga
(00:58):
finally released the Chrome Adicable film, so she went on
tour in two thousand and two and the La Show
they filmed and it was finally released. Like Gaga directed,
she produced it. She was involved in the whole process
and just watching Lady Gaga perform again, just makes she
so happy. She's such an incredible performer, like she needs
to go on tour again. But the best part about
(01:21):
this was at the end there was a video Gaga
dancing leaving the stage and it said Lady Gaga returns.
So Lady Gaga seven is coming. I hope she drops
this new music soon because we are so ready for it.
And until then we can enjoy this single from Gaga
from Chromatica. It is Alice on Clopline Countdown with Gems
(01:43):
and I love introducing you to new artists, and here's
an artist you are going to love. She's an Australian artist.
She's only nineteen years old and she just dropped her
debut single. We are joined by Angel Exo. Hello, Hi,
congratulations on your brand new single Cross the Line. It
is so amazing. It's so relatable as well. What was
(02:06):
it like working on your debut single?
Speaker 2 (02:07):
First of all, most want to say thank you. Yeah,
it is such a fun song. Working on it was
the most incredible experience. I came into a studio when
Sydney came in and I was like, let's just make
something girly, something fun, something relatable, something that I feel
like everyone can like relate to or just like enjoy
(02:29):
and we came out in the studio with Cross the Line.
It was really just like exactly like that.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
I love that and especially like it being your like
debut single as well. It's cool, like how empowering that
song is.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Yeah, well, I think especially for our first single, it's
important that it's something that is something everyone can enjoy.
I think I've got like some other things coming up
that maybe dalve moore into experimenting and you know, evolving
my sound.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Because you went to LA to work on music there
and I saw he worked with Charlie Pooth's brother, Steven.
He's so talented. What was that like working with him?
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Yeah, it was incredible. I didn't even realize at the beginning,
like that that was Charlie Poot's brother. I just saw
Stephen Pooth and I like kind of like thought about
it in my head press like and I'm like no, like,
no way, anyways, Like I go in and like he's
just such a character. He's such a lovely guy, very
(03:26):
very much like a musical whiz exactly like his brother,
just pitch perfect and whatnot, And was just so fun
to work with him. I was in a session with
a couple other people as well, including him, and I
think it was just such a lovely collaborative space. And yeah,
just working with people who have incredible music minds.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
LA is such an inspiring place and you were there
working on new music?
Speaker 2 (03:49):
What was your experience? Like, it was insane. It was
such an opportunity like going there. And I also worked
with Alo Black, who was incredible. I've worked with pem
Shane who did Genie and a Bottle for Christina Aguilera,
which is nuts. I bangled over that for a while,
and just like heaps of other things, like, you know,
(04:10):
just working with incredible talents and just the fact that
I got to be in LA and got to be
in that situation.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
And you've been working on lots of music. Are you
planning on releasing an EP?
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Genuinely always working on music and just like always trying
to find something cool and fun and new and it
never stops really Like, I've got so many projects in
the works, potentially EPs coming down the line, lots of singles,
that's for sure. So yeah, there's plenty to expect from me.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
I've got a rapid round of questions for you.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
This is exciting.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
How do you have your coffee hostly?
Speaker 2 (04:51):
I have it with a lot of milk and sugar.
Like I'm really bad that way.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
It's okay, I can't help it. And what your most
used emoji.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Are the crying emoji? I like use it and replaces
a laugh because I think it's hilarious.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
That is a good one. And how would you describe
your music in three words?
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Fun, girly, relatable.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
What's your favorite show to binge watch?
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Your favorite show to binge watch? I need a new
show to binge watch?
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Is the issue? Are you seeing Dairy Girls on Netflix?
It's an Irish TV show. It's really funny, Like if
you want to watch something to have a laugh, it's
it's pretty funny.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Okay, that might be for me. Then I'll have to
check it out.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
If you can eat one thing for the rest of
your life, what would it be?
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Oh my god, don't do this to me. This is
like I want to say, I love carbs like pasta.
I'm gonna keep it safe.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
And who are some artists that inspire you.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
I want to start out by saying the powerhouses or
powerhouses Christina, Beyonce, Whitney, Mariah and then more contemporary modern artist.
So I want to say, like doja cat Arianna Madison Bea.
There's an artist called Amelia Moore who is incredible. Ray
(06:11):
is a huge one as well.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Yeah, well it's something you'd like to achieve this time
next year.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
I think I just want to keep my craft going,
just keep evolving as an artist.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Thank you so much for coming on the show. It's
so great chatting with you. And I also can't wait
to hear like more new music when you release that,

be a hips on its way.
