Speaker 1 (00:00):
Club Line Countdown Jem.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Bob counting down the biggest.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Songs in the country and around the world, as voted
by you. Hello, it's Jem hanging out with you for
yes Saturday Night. How's it going on the show tonight?
British artist Mamma Morris. He released his song Coco Role.
We played it on the show last week and he's
going to be joining us all the way from La

(00:29):
plus music from I Just Want. If you're on TikTok,
you would have seen a bunch of videos to this
Zara lasting song. I love that she's embracing it going
viral again and having the image of the dolphins swimming
around in the background. You have to check it out
online and clean nice bottom, brand newly Okay, it was

(00:51):
released yesterday. You're gonna hear it on the show. A
few years ago, there was a global pop group called
Now United. Maybe you've heard of their music before. One
of the members in the group is Lamar Morris. He's
from the UK. He's now based over in la and
he's so talented. He writes produces his own music as well,
and he joins us now. Hello, congratulations on your brand

(01:14):
new single Coco Role. How is it working on the
song because you worked on it by yourself, which is
so cool.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, it was a lot of fun because you know,
I never really know what to expect unless I plan
to create something. When I kind of go into the
studio and I'm like, Okay, I want to create, that's
the best place to be in because I pull from
very authentic, genuine places. Whenever I'm in that mood, what
usually ends up happening is I have a favorite song
for like a few months, and then I make something

(01:43):
and it beats it.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
And how would you describe your EP that you've been
working on?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Not only is it my sound and my influences and
my experiences and all of those beautiful, scary things.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Really awesome as well Because you were in a band
as well, I bet you were a lot from being
in the group and then going solo that would have
prepared you for Like now, being.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
In a group was so much fun because I came
out of high school college and went straight into being
in a pop band at seventeen, you know, and all
of the things that I learned over the years from
music and media training, and it did really prepare me
for my solo career. And I got asked a question

(02:27):
the other day, when did you wait? When did you
decide you wanted to be a soloist and all that.
I don't think I woke up one day and decided
I want to be a solo artist. I always knew
what I wanted to do. It's just about what my
journey was and how I was getting there, and the
first few building blocks of that journey happened to be
now United.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
So that's so probat like how that happened, because especially
like you're going to be opening as well for Shorn
Stockman from Boys to Then and how exciting.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
It's crazy because my sister she started reintroducing nineties R
and B to me, and I fell in love with Josy,
Boys to Men, Cisco, Drew Hill, like that whole sort
of era of R and B love song. It's crazy
because I remember trying to sing I'll make Love to

(03:15):
You the way One Yard sang it, and it's like
I'm like, damn, I can't get it down. As soon
as I hit puberty, it was like, yeah, the vocal
range came in.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
I've got a rapid round of questions for you, if
you could have a superpower what would it be?

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Oh gosh, I got asked the other day about my
best friend.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
That's so funny.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
I've always said like a healing factor like wouverine, So
like I get like I hurt myself or something. My
boys just fixed.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Themsels that would be bad. And what's something you miss
about London?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
I missed my family, I miss my friends, I missed food.
I miss my dog as well.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
And how would you describe your music in three words?

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Unique?

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Personal, exciting, a song that's stuck in here right now cole,
then an unreleased one, and your dream collaboration. And your favorite.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
TV show Family Gay?

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Oh yeah, that is so funny. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
If I'm Family Gay, then I like maybe house and dragons,
I think, oh yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
What's your most used emoji?

Speaker 2 (04:23):
I don't know, you know, let me have a book
red hot?

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Oh yeah. And what's something you'd like to achieve this
time next year?

Speaker 2 (04:33):
This time next year, I would like to be doing
shows all over the world, having millions of people listening
to my music, enjoying the message that I have to
give through my music.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Thank you so much for the chat as well.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
No, no, no, thank you thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
That is water remixed Tyler featuring at Travis scott On
Clubline Countdown with Jem and Travis is going to be
here in October for his tour, which is super exciting.
And last week Sabrina Carpenter released her album and I
love that. She was so shocked that Adele knew who
she was when she was on Jimmy Fallon.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
I just love how. I'm like, does she have social media?
Like how does she know about the song or anything?
And that was the most mind blowing sence.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
It's Adele. I love that because we all know a
Dale like she doesn't go on social media, so like,
I love that she just stays up today with the
latest music. There was so many incredible singles released yesterday,
including one by Australian artist Bahani. She is so talented.
She's collaborated with French Montana DJ khllied Neo in heaps

(05:39):
of incredible artists and if you're seeing Neo while he's
on his Australian tour next month, the good news is
Bahani is going to be opening for him, which is huge.
And yesterday she released her brand new single which interpolates
these two thousand and one here do you remember when
this came out such a throw thank You're Gonna love

(06:00):
her singles Medicine by Bahani on Clubline Countdown with Jim.
And there's one thing I love about Zara Larsson is
she's just got such a great personality that the fact
that these songs she did with Clean bandit went viral
years ago and it's blown up on TikTok to last
week with thousands of videos to it. Go and check
out the trend online. It's the picture of the Dolphins

(06:23):
moving around. It's just the best thing ever. This is
