Speaker 1 (01:05):
All right? A little bit jet lagged here we are? Yeah?
How are you?
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Yeah? I'm good? Thank you. How did you go at
the zoo?
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Yeah? Zoo was great. All the animals were asleep, so
we didn't say much movement though it was It was nice.
It was good seen some Australian animals.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
So good to do you see a koala.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Yeah, it was asleep on the tree, so I've got
a nice picture of that. But but yeah, of that
few crocs kangaroos. It was good.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Congratulations on your brand new single Lost Myself with Window Kid.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
What was it like working on it?
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Great.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
You know he's a good friend of mine, so coming together.
I just it was just normal, you know, went to
the studio and wrote a song. It was it was
more for him. Really, It's not my usual style, so
it's just something for him to bring out, and you know,
it's been Fantastic's being received really well. It's got a
positive messaging, not my usual club banger, but it's got
a really important message in and people have perceived it
really well.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
I love that because it's got like that dance slash
like R and b rap kind of sown to it
and like you've done that so well, like even with
the other songs as well. I love like that like
side of music that you do as well.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Thank you. I enjoyed listening to that type of stuff,
but I don't get a chance to make it often,
so to do that was quite nice and the refreshing.
But yeah, like I say, it's not my usual style,
So who knows, I might I might do it again
sometimes soon.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
And how's it been being back here?
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Amazing? It's not very sunny, it's annoying, but every time
I'll calm, the brother seems to have come with me
from Britain. But you know, it's amazing, great people, you know,
the crowd to create the energy at the show. It's
fantastic and I'm love coming here. So hope they'll be
here a lot more in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
It'll be so good when you come back here again
and do more shows. And one of my absolutely favorite
songs of yours is Heart Still Beating with BB right,
because I like, I love how it's such an empowering
break up Ansom.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
What was it like working with BB?
Speaker 1 (02:45):
That came together really quick and Bob was great and
she invited us over to La which was fun, and
you know, her vocals are incredible and she's just a
big bundle of joy. It's just like being around it
was just great energy and it's done really well. You know,
internationally it's done really well. And when I'm in shopping
center's going to hear it. Come on, I think, oh,
that's that's mad. Like it's me and bb Rex Sol,
which is mad because I'm from this like small town
(03:06):
in England and obviously she sees like a global mugget
megastar and to be able to work together with her
was insane. And yeh, she's a lovely lady.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
I loved that last year when you went to LA
to work on heartstool Beating with bb REXA how Ian Asher,
he's a DJ over in the US.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
He did a remix of the song. How did that
come about?
Speaker 1 (03:27):
I met him a really nice lads on the kind
of video shoot and he did some content for us,
like remixing it live, and then he did the official
remix to the song and I see him on Instagram
now smashing it on big stages. So I'm really proud
of him. But he's a really nice lad and he's
doing well.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
He is so talented.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
It's so for as well, like you inspiring so many
upcoming DJ producers.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
And how did you get into music?
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Just when I was a kid, you know, going to
family parties and seeing the DJs like running the dumps,
flaws and taking control of the night. From an early age,
I was doing birthday parties for family and friends and
weddings and all sorts, and yeah, I was just that
guy in the town that did all the DJ and
all the music. So it just stemmed from there. And
then when I was getting older, I went abroad and
started to kind of getting my name out there and
(04:10):
in Greece and Spain and countries like that, and yeah,
it just kind of spread through Europe and here I'm
now in Australia, so it's growing.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
I love that, and like vid your music as well.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
When I listened to it, I love with each song
of yours, like obviously being born in the UK as well,
it's got that UK feel to it, but also like
the music I grew up listening to as well, and
I love that you have that in your music and
it's fresh, like the big song you do. You're so
creative with it all.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Yeah, thank you. I always try and you know, like
I was off the high pitched rofall that always works,
and try and put a bit of me in my
music to kind of influence it. And when people enjoy it,
like you just said, it means a lot.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
For me, it's just trying to just bring out things
to feel natural to me. You're not trying to overthink
it too much. And you know, if I like it
and I feel like the funds are when it comes out.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
I've got a rapid Randa question for you. What football
team do you support?
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Ashton Villa?
Speaker 3 (04:58):
If you could have a superpower, what would it?
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Invisibility?
Speaker 3 (05:01):
And what's the quickest song you've ever worked on?
Speaker 1 (05:04):
I would say Heaven Heaven with Joel Corey and Henderson.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
And what's something on your backet list?
Speaker 1 (05:11):
I'd love to play professional football, but I don't think
that's realistic. That's more of a dream than a book
at list because I don't really think I'm thin give
a bit too old now to chase that dream. But
as a book list, don't it really? I would love to.
I've loved to go to Asia Thailand, not on that before.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
And what's your most used emoji?
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Probably the laughing face or the thumbed up?
Speaker 2 (05:27):
And what's you go to meal ty next time you
in Australia. We'll have to because I've played soccer growing up.
We'll have to set up like a mini soccer match.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Yeah? Absolutely, And what for that? Please do it so fun?
Speaker 2 (05:38):
And thank you so much for the chat. It's so
lovely chatting with you and it's been so good watching
you over the years pro with your music and I'm
so excited.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
He more appreciate that. Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Badien superstar Tat McCray is in the country at the
moment for her Think Later tour. Did you see how
she did a post on it instat saying, Hey, come
and meet me at the rooftop in Sydney. There's a surprise,
did you Because I ended up going to it as well,
and I was shook. There's hundreds of people on the rooftop.
Tate McCray rocked up. She was in the back of
(06:08):
the yet with her dancers and she started playing us
three unreleased songs and her brand new single two Hands,
which she released yesterday, which is so amazing And I
love that she did this because like no one else
has done anything like this, and she was so sweet
as well. And later that night at her show as well,
she performed two Hands, and like, how incredible is she
(06:29):
a dancing like she's a professional dancer. But I love
like the dance breaks and stuff like that between her songs.
Was anyone else like shook seeing her live? Because my
jaw was on the floor the whole time. She was
so incredible, like her vocals, dancing, her songs are amazing
in the setlist as well, and hopefully she does come
back to Australia again soon. She did announce at tour
dates the US in Europe, so hopefully she comes back
(06:52):
here this week and see her live again. Let's get on,
Tate McCray, It's Okay, I'm okay on Clublin Countdown with Gems.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
