Youth reporter Kai Davis used to play in the ashes as her family burned trash on a sequestered piece of their family land. Now older, Kai knows that burning trash is bad for her, and bad for the environment. But her neighborhood doesn't have access to waste collection. She wants that to change.

The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways.
