===================================
Cole was born in Muscle Shoals, Alabama to a Southern Baptist pastor and stay-at-home mom. His father decided to call him "Cole" after Cole Trickle, Tom Cruise’s character in Days of Thunder. “Cole Terry, so you can be a NASCAR driver… or a country music singer.” He spent most of his childhood in Athens, AL. One day, at 6 years old, Cole’s dad introduced him to a man named Jesus. “The trajectory of my life shifted dramatically that day; because of the grace I have been shown, and the love with which He has loved me, I live to glorify Him.” Cole first picked up a guitar when he arrived on Amelia Island at age 14. He learned how to sing and wrote his first song not long after, and he found himself on a beach bar stage for the first time at age 16. At age 17, he packed his bags and headed off for the University of Florida to obtain a degree in Political Science. At age 21, after having released 10 songs as an independent artist and while interning in Washington, DC for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Cole Terry signed with New York-based Santa Anna Records. Cole is scheduled to graduate in August of 2025, after which he plans to pack his bags once again and set up shop in Nashville, TN to chase down whatever God’s plan might have in store for him there.
