The word “religion’ means something different to each one of us, and there are multiple ways of defining it. On today’s podcast, we have Sam Spector, a 31-year old rabbi of the Congregation Kol Ami, Utah's largest Jewish synagogue, who is here to enlighten us on his vision of faith and how it leads to creating a path of growth within ourselves.

Highlights:

  • Sam explains that faith  can help people find themselves because it can be perceived  as a channel of expression for our beliefs and hopes.
  • The importance of seeing beauty in other races, religions and ethnicities without forgetting that each one of us is unique and different.
  • Sam describes his  unique way of giving advice to  people who come to him asking for help: he tries not to be judgmental and always joins them in walking through their narratives and traditions in order to understand more about themselves.
  • Sam brings a new perspective in understanding that everyone can make mistakes, because it makes us humans, not less of a good person
  • Religion  not as the answer to everything, but as a tool to channel our hopes and work towards being a better person.
