Ethan is a self-taught coffee roaster from the East Coast. He started off in Brooklyn, and later moved down to Orange County where he worked at High Tide Coffee. He later moved over to SUR Coffee in San Clemente, California where he shifted into the production side of the business. Ethan learned what he could from SUR, and took it upon himself learn the craft using the equipment provided. He now is the main roaster at Bear Coast Coffee in San Clemente. Tune in to learn how Ethan broke into the roasting business and became a hot commodity here in the Orange County coffee scene. Ethan shares tips for coffee shop owners who are looking for long term roasters. We will be discussing the topic of roaster negotiation and of giving roasters equity.
